Use a pair of high-quality earbuds and /or a high-quality headphone to improve your Android device’s sound quality and volume.

[Q] Dock sound quality

Could anyone with a Streak dock comment on the difference in sound quality between the headphone jack and the dock's line-out please ? One report says that the line-out has higher volume then the jack, which sounds strange to me since I thought a line-out shouldn't be amplified.
I'd like to know the difference in base noise level, sound level and audio quality. This would be usefull to all those who would like to hack their PDMI cable to extract a better sound source from it.
Also, if you can, please the type of headphones you used to make the comparaison.
Thanks in advance

Mi Pistons Headphones Workaround

I bought my Xiaomi Mi pistons from Flipkart recently. The headphones are excellent with mind blowing build quality and amazing sound.
But I am experiencing a weird problem.
To get the best sound quality, I need to press and hold the Play/pause button provided in the music control in earphones. I am not able to configure other buttons also.
It seems like the microphone adversely affects the sound quality.
Anybody else experiencing this problem?
That is the biggest disadvantage of MMX CHD.. u cant use a headphone with microphone attached to get the best result..
for u have two solutions:
1. Change the headphone and buy a new one without microphone
2. buy a 3.5 mm male to 3.5 mm female connector separately and attach ur current headphone with the connector.. then it will work perfectly

Increase V10 Volume - Not Headphones

I've studied the big thread about Volume Boost of headphones...
Is there anything around about non-headphones volume boost. My V10 is not very loud compared to my Note 4 with Viper ...
Thanks!
I haven't looked into the physical components, really, but if the dedicated ESS DAC with the amp act as any other dedicated components I'm familiar with, then you would have to physically change the wiring route to the speakers. Right now it's headphone only because the amp is directly connected to the output jack. The first issue is software-based, but the second (with the speakers) relates to hardware.
Again, I haven't really checked, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Honor PLK-L01 headphones volume

Is there a way to increase the maximum headphones volume ?
Yes buy another headphone i am already on samsung one and soud is awesome
i use Denon AH-C50MA and sound is great
What's you headphones impedance? Mine piston 2's are loud even 3 volume bars @ 16ohm
Well i don't care about my earphones impedance as my previous smartphone (S3) could easily drive these with louder sound.
I think i will probably give a try with Viper4Android.
I also find the Honor 7 volume levels too low. The phone speaker as well as the headset.
Call volume is low as well but you can fix that by setting it into speaker mode.
The low headset volume annoys me the most. (I use HQ headset)
I found the service mode menu and had hoped i could increase headset volume levels there.

Sadly, there is no option. I tried some apps from the playstore but they didnt do anything.
I'm currently (officially) participating in the Android 6 Beta so am not rooted or anything.
Is there a way i can increase the level already?
Or maybe once I have the final Android 6, can i root/unlock the phone and increase the volume in another manner? I want to stay on the original roms, dont want to flash something else on my phone.
Anyone else finding this annoying as well and has a fix?
I am running 80ohm sennheiser dt880 and the volume is high enough for me so every mobile headphone with 32ohm should be easily powered to painful volume . Not sure which media you play, but if you need higher volume i suggest a mobile dac as headphone amplifier

Question Sound volume minijack output?

I'm considering replacing my Xiaomi mi 11 ultra with a Sony Xperia 1 v.
I'm using a usb to minijack converter without DAC to feed my headphones. The volume and amp power is good on my Xiaomi. But on my previous phones the power was lacking and I had to use a dac-amp. How is it with the Sony phones? I read that the quality is good. But that is not gonna help me if the output volume is too low.
Most modern music is ok since it's recorded at high volume. But some older albums needs to be turned up to get the same volume.
What is your experience?
