Does anyone have the "Email Conversation Mode" feature on Huawei Email app on their Mate 40 Pro? - Huawei Mate 40 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

During the Huawei Mate 40 Pro launch, the CEO announced that Huawei Email will bring a "Email Conversation Mode". Does anyone have this on their phones?

I don't see such thing on my phone but I can suggest Nine as email client. Pretty cool, I've been using it for a long time.

Hi I checked the Huawei Email app after reading your question and yes I have the conversation feature and I really like it. It loads the messages very similarly to the sms app. I must admit I prefer this view. I added all of my accounts to the app and so far so good. the version I have is 11.0.0.140 on the Mate 40 Pro in Ireland.

Thats cool. I don't seem to have that feature yet. Possible to share the Huawei Email app APK? I would like to try the conversation feature on my Mate Xs. My Huawei Email App version is only 11.0.0.134

Recently I had to add an account in the email app and it was giving me hints that I have "Conversation mode". Now in Settings there is option "Viewing mode" and it has "Standard" and "Conversation".

[Q] Facebook Messenger and Delivery Reports

Hi guys! Many user are facing a serious issue with Facebook Messenger: it automatically activate the Delivery Report in SMS when using it as the main SMS app. So, what's the matter? Well, the problem is that in some country (as here in Italy) the delivery reports are billed 0,20 € each!! Many users spent near 10€ to realize where the problem is.
So my questions is : is there a way to "mod" the facebook messenger app to disable this terrible delivery reports "functionality"?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!
There should be a check box in messanger settings that controls the all messages in one app function.

Hi, thank you for your answer. I know that checkbox, but what we are looking for is a way to disable only the delivery reports while keeping the SMS support of facebook messenger.
This is a very common option in the most of SMS apps (like go sms or handcent, etc.), but in facebook messenger the only option that we have is only SMS on/off.

I would also like a way to disable/enable the delivery reports while keeping the facebook messenger as the default app for SMS/MMS.
Has any one found a solution to this yet?
Thanks!
P.S. Also, How do I know a sms was delivered? I mean I still haven't seen a delivery report. What does a delivery report look like in the facebook messenger?

I totally agree! I can't understand the point of adding the delivery report without even using it! Maybe in the future updates they'll add some note under the sent messages, like what they do with the standard facebook messages.
There is no delivery option ???
Where exactly you guys see the delivery report? in my messenger app version supporting sms/mms, I don't see any delivery raport, but I would like to see that. Samsung stock app sends sms after every sent sms, which is very annoying, that why I switched to messenger, but no delivery raport included option
Yes, as far I know, Facebook Messenger SMS Integration still no Delivery Reports features... I will happy use it if this features (Delivery Report) has available

SMS/MMS Settings

Hi. Does anybody know how to change SMS/MMS settings in Honor 5X? I'm on Marshmallow 6.0.1 and I cannot find in the Messaging app
settings for basic things. For example, encoding for SMS (i.e GSM 7-bit.) Also, for some reason I started to get a warning about "fees" when
I try to sent a SMS and then when I check my account at my mobile carrier, texts sent appear like MMS type instead of SMS.
Any input is welcome. Thanks, guys.
theres a menu option, in messaging app
Use Google Messenger. Stock EMUI Messaging falls short in customization.

Yes, Menu shows Favorites, Emergency Alerts, Harrassment Filter, and Settings.
However, browsing all of them don't provide the options I'm looking for.
On, Lollipop, there were some at Settings > Advanced but now on Marshmallow they removed them (e.g. Group MMS.)

I see. It's a shame Huawei didn't make it better. I will check Google Messenger and see what problems come with it.

I dint had any issues with g messenger till now..its the best
Google Messenger FTW.
No encoding setting even on lolipop that I recall, settings>apps>more>messaging .
Marshmellow removed a huge amount of important setings and ability use add-on app advanced settings and was a reason I didn't like the so called upgrade as downgrade in many ways.
Biggest issue with huawei is weak firmware and inability to send out fixes on major weak areas .

SMS - Unknown Sender

I've noticed when checking my messages in morning, that every so often I see an sms from unknown sender in the list and this happens where from 1am - 6am. the message will then disappear from the list
anyone else get these

I think that is not related with phone but with sms app other person is using. Some apps (or special codes) allow sending anonymous sms. What I didn´t know was the possibility of making them vanish on receiver's phone at a given time

I get this exact behavior too!
I have a new Huawei mate 10 pro. I see this empty message from unknown_sender every morning. If I open it, there is nothing and it disappears. I have tried to text back, but that is not possible. If you try to call it, it shows as "Call NN:NN" in the menu, but in the phone app, it actually tries to call the number 6566. I have not been able to find any other information on it.
yeh, not sure what is causing it
Just delete the message and it should not appear again... I think it's a reminder of an unread sms.

It comes back all time and nothing to do with unread messages as appears even when all messages have been read

Did u try to delete? It could be a push message?
I use a different SMS app and it doesn't appear. Probably bugs in standard app

I have the exact same problem. Huawei Mate 10 Pro, stock sms app.
Mate 10 (non-pro) using Textra - no problems or unknown senders.
i wonder if it something to do with their app, on the p20 pro not had this issue yet (it use android messages as default messaging app, but i'm using chompsms)
I'm also having the same prob with mate 10. The sms doesn't come as a message you only see it if you go into messages and I get mines between 3 am to 4 am every day. At first I never opened it but if I checked every day the time the message came would always change. I called my phone company to see if they could fix the issue and they said all is well and they saw no issues with the phone. Since then it stopped coming except for last night when I checked the "unknown sender" message literally disappeared as soon as I opened my messages folder to check. I'm freaked out and don't know what to do.
Been getting same thing most mornings on mate 10 pro using default sms app.
Hi, I have the same problem with Huawei P 20 Lite, the first time was 3 weeks ago.
Now when I for unread messages I see Unknown sender but in 1 second desappear, I think is for unread messages, but why?
Thanks
I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, and the same thing happened to me just now. I freaked out, and googled it, which brings me here to this page. I'm relieved to find out it's just a Huawei bug, not some freak psycho invading my phone.

It's not just a Huawei bug, it's been reported on other brands over the years like Samsung and Sony.

Have the same problem. Huawei P20 Lite. Very annoying. Doesn't happen every night, just a few times a week. Solution, anyone?
I get this too. Pretty sure it's Chinese spies downloading all your personal data.

iPhone sms-friendly text app?

When an iPhone user "likes" a message in an sms or mms conversation, it shows up in the Android sms app as Liked "<text>." For example, if I text them "Your iPhone sucks and Android is way better," and they like it, I'll get a message that says Liked "Your iPhone sucks and Android is way better." Are there any Android sms apps that can recognize these replies and visualize them more like they were intended? For example, a thumbs up icon next to the original text?

Yes it does. But it also has the unfortunate flaw of being owned by Facebook.

SMS from tablet without Samsung mobile...

I have a Huawei phone, which doesn't sync with the Samsung Messages app. Is there another app I can download to the tablet that will allow me to send SMS using my phone? I use the standard Google Messages SMS app on the Huawei and have no desire to switch. Thanks.
I've a P30 Pro, I use Tablet Messenger for Google Messenger and WhatsApp, works really well.

You can try Pulse. It looks and works like Google messenger but allows sending and receiving from multiple devices once your phone is set up as the main device.

Same here...even get to use it for phone calls...not that i want to...since i use the tablet to "escape". :silly:
Google Voice isn't available in the UK ? maybe when Pulse gets RCS support, that may be the answer ...
Mighty text
Wish RCS was more open... would be nice if iphones could use it too.
Been using Mightytext for years and works well across many device families.
Is RCS available to mighty text yet?
have google released the RCS APIS ?
