Fix Galaxy Wearables not connecting after Rooting - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Guides, News, & Discussion

After rooting my Galaxy Z flip I tried to connect my Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier to it but it seemed to get stuck at "Setting up your watch". The phone showed that it was not connected via bluetooth with the watch so I started searching. I found this old post from the Galaxy S7 forum and I am sharing how I managed to fix it
How to fix the problem:
Uninstall these apps from your phone: Galaxy Wearable, Gear S Plugin and Samsung Accesory Service.
Install the Gear S Plugin from here
Install the Samsung Accessory Service from here
(Optional)Now go to Magisk Manager and install the "Magisk Hide Props Config"
(Optional)Install this terminal
(Optional)Open it and write: "su" "props" "1" "f" "7" "18" "y" based on your android version "3" for R "2" for Q "y" and reboot
Install Galaxy Wearable from Google Play
Now open it and your watch should connect just fine
All credits go to the person from this post I am just sharing my version of it. Hope this helps some people.

Basically there are two versions of Samsung gear plugin. You need to find the one that has a N in the end. This allows the gear to communicate with the watch. Basically download and install all that I have listed and it should work. You can also check this post here for further details https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nd-probably-other-samsung-weareables.3931738/

Hi! Sorry to revive an old thread, but this was the actual only solution that actually howrked for me, on my A53 no less. However, the notifications on my Gear S3 behaved quite different... where I used to have the option to preview messages one by one, now I have only a single "x messages from x chats" notification, with only one option to check on phone instead of ungrouping, reading more, etc.
I feel like it could be a Gear S plugin thing... maybe the "N" version doesn't allow those more complete notifications? Anyone got their rooted phone working with them?

[HOW-TO] Workaround for Google Play Services that won't install on some ROMs

Hi guys, after I had surfing internet for a while, I had found a workaround and successfully installed Google Play Services on my device (GT-S5300) with custom rom.
Credit:
http://androidforums.com/marquee-all-things-root/660913-google-play-services-wont-install.html
Steps:
1. Download Gapps for your ROM here.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Enter recovery mode and do Wipe data/factory reset. (Make sure that you have backed up everything.)
4. Flash the Gapps.
5. Wipe Dalvik cache and cache partition then reboot.
6. Get the lastest version of Google Play Store and install it.
7. Update all the Gapps via Play Store.
8. Then install Google Play Services and done!
Or open the Market (Play Store) and tap agree. Then press home and leave it awhile. After the Play Store is updated, open it and tap agree again. The new Play Store should download Google Play Services and install it for you.
NOTE: It may NOT working with some ROMs. Don't blame me!

I am new in this, sorry to ask a very basic question.
- I have a clone S4 with Android 4.2.2, I downloaded gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip and gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip
- On step 2 and 3, I am using Root Manager (ClockworkMod), I manage to enter recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset
- But then, when i want to install from SDCARD the gapps, both version got error invalid OTA. Flash mean install under recovery mode right?
Could you please reword, use layman term, suggest the apps to be used for this work. Thanks a lot for your help

Yes, under recovery mode.
AFAIK, you just need to update your Play Store and Google Play services (Shown on app drawer as Google Settings) after flashing the Gapps (Google Apps).

[OFFICIAL Android P] - WhatsApp Audio Listening Issue

Hi Guys!
Unfortunately we cannot upgrade our phone to Android Q, even Unofficial, but after I install the Android P available on ASUS website I found a problem.
I cannot listen WhatsApp audio on ears (Like in Calls). A friend did the same on his phone and got the same problem.
Did anyone know how to solve this issue?
Thanks!

Acredito ter achado um caminho provisório hoje.
1 - Desligue o celular
2 - Entre no modo recovery
3 - escolha wipe cache partition
4 - Escolha o YES
5 - Reinicie o celular.
No meu caso está resolvendo até o fim do dia. Minha meta, agora, é descobrir exatamente qual app de sistema que está causando o problema e trazer uma resolução definitiva.
I believe I have found a provisional path today.
1 - Turn off the phone
2 - Enter recovery mode
3 - choose wipe cache partition
4 - Choose YES
5 - Restart the cell phone. In my case it is resolving until the end of the day. My goal now is to find out exactly which system app is causing the problem and come up with a definitive resolution.

Xiaomi Mars Watchface for Wear OS (My first own made watchface)

Hi everyone!
This is my first own made watchface inspired from the Xiaomi Mars watchface in the Xiaomi Watch S1 series.
I wanted to apply it on my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 40mm but there wasn't any version of it made for Wear OS or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series so I've made my own version with Watch Face Studio.
Finally the font of the watchface is Mi Sans
I've also included pictures of the watchface in normal and AOD mode.
Instructions:
1. Download the WFS file from the link
2. Download Watch Face Studio on your PC or laptop (Skip this step if you already have the program installed)
3. Open the WFS file in Watch Face Studio
4. Connect your smartwatch to your laptop in Watch Face Studio through ADB over IP
5. Click on Run and now the face is successfully applied on your smartwatch
If there's anything, contact me trough Telegram, DM me on Reddit or post it on this topic.
I hope that you guys like it!
