They are parallel developments and each one has its own independent version number.

Ist immer noch ein Beta-Stall, der eigentlich nur über OTA an ausgewählte Beta-Tester verteilt wird.

Is still a beta stall that is actually only distributed via OTA to selected beta testers.

And which is actually the "latest" one of the 2?
Maybe better wait for an Android 11 version that is higher than 12.0.8.0?

Undoubtedly version 12.0.6.0 is currently the most recent.

Not logical to compare versions of Android 10 (Q) with ones of Android 11 (R) in this way!

Found a picture of the firmware version.
Android 11 - 12.0.6.0 : MPSS.AT.4.4.c6-00013-REENNELL_GEN_PACK-1
Android v10 - 12.0.8.0 : MPSS.AT.4.4.c6-00020-REENNELL_GEN_PACK-1
So the android 10 miui is indeed a later version in everything.

You literally ignored what people told you.
Latest vendor version is from Android 11, they just changed vendor naming for some reason.

Yeah, but how comes Android 11 has a lower Firmware version then?

You must update Poco Launcher to last version!

Does anybody knows if our unit is affected by the "do not validate" CA certificate being greyed out issue on Android 11 when connecting to an enterprise Wi-Fi network?

It's for EU only for now. It's still a beta with a different version naming V12.0.6.0.RJGEUXM. You can find it here.

Still, some of us with 3rd party launchers are pretty annoyed by this fact.

Good to see the phone is finally receiving the Android 11 update. I regularly use Ant+ sensors with Android 10. Can someone who has upgraded to Android 11 please run the Ant tester https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quantrity.anttester&hl=en_GB&gl=US to see if we have the Ant Hal Service or please check system apps for Ant Hal Service?
Thank you

Miui 8 China Developer Rom Based On Android Nougat 7.0 Available?

Hi there,
just wondering whether we finally got Android 7 for our device? According to these threads it should be the case:
https://xiaomininja.com/2017/02/11/...i-8-china-developer-rom-7-2-9-is-rolling-out/
https://www.getdroidtips.com/manually-update-redmi-note-2-miui-8-v7-2-9-android-nougat-2/
But I am currently using MIUI 8 Global 7.5.4 Beta which is still Android 5.0.2 - maybe this is due to not being developer ROM.
What I do not understand is the flashing guide from 2nd link: Do I have to install both versions? Recovery and Fastboot? And does anybody already have this ROM in use? Can it be just flashed over Global Weekly Beta?
Thanks for your responses!
Bye
have a try? Is it really Android version nougat?
@Renth You have to post this in original developer thread when it is just a noob question? It is completely fake news - don't post this crap here.
@jajk: Ok, then some mod will have to move this thread (or can I move it myself?). My knowledge also has been that there is no Android 6 resp.7 for RMN2. But why do you think it is fake?
Even MIUI Germany talks about it here.

We will not get Nougat or even Marshmallow officially ?
I admit the list is somewhat confusing since it also says:
Aktualisierte Geräte : ... Redmi Note 2 ...
Click to collapse
=> Which means updatedd devices and:
Optimization - Android N update (02-20)

I admit it might mean that all listed devices got some updates but not all of them received Android N (was really suprised and could not believe it myself). Anyway I asked within the changelog thread.

What did you expect from a Budget category phone?
Redmi series are know only to get 1 android version upgrade.
Anyone flash it?
What Security Patch level is it on.
I will wait until xiaomi.eu release it.
And if xposed gets released for Nougat, I might consider using the Ported roms.

[Xiaomi MI9][Problem with MIUI 12 update]

Dear Developers,
I am having an issue with updating my MI9 to MIUI 12. The thing is, I still don't have the update option in the updates. It says "No updates available at the moment". My current version of MIUI is 11.0.6.0. I am asking about this because two of my friends, already updated their MI9s like 3-4 weeks ago. The difference is, my phone was bought on Gearbest, and theirs in the local stores. Could this be the issue?
Thanks in advace.
Greg

This is UPGRADING and not updating: updating means patching an existing Android OS version.
FYI: MIUI9 is based on Android 9 ( Pie ) whereas MIUI12 is based on Android 11 ( RVC ).

Thank you but your answer here is useless. Do how do I force them to upgrade my MIUI 11 to MIUI 12 then? I guess with upgrading my Android as well.

AFAIK OEMs/Carriers NEVER UPGRADE a phone, but only update it if indicated to do so. You cannot force them.

General Color OS Update

Looks like we might get Android 12 soon, which hopefully solves some issues such as Android Auto?
OPPO Find N grabbed ColorOS 12 update - Real Mi Central
OPPO previously released the Find N folding-screen phone, and recently released the ColorOS 12 | Android 11 | PEUM00_11_A.09 update.

Actually strike that, it's only Colour OS 12 update, not Android 12 unfortunately. Though does have some interesting benefits like easier ratio switching.
The update is already available

No, as I said above, I was mistaken, it is not Android 12 yet, though apparently Android 12 might be coming this spring for the Find N (see the links above).

General OPPO Find N2 Android 14 Beta Program, launched!

Hello,
I am sharing with pleasure... https://developers.oppomobile.com/wiki/doc/index#id=138
I have the Chinese edition and the images only are:
Find N2 Flip Android™ 14 Beta:
India version: https://sbox.myoas.com/outpublish.html?code=A711401ef7e902c7e#view
Malaysia version: https://sbox.myoas.com/outpublish.html?code=A1ffb5db9fe2e9f85#view
Thailand version: https://sbox.myoas.com/outpublish.html?code=A8feff3b608b7a95e#view
I am getting down anyway the version for India.
I would wait for beta 2 or 3.. early beta always riddled with bugs..
I don't the reason of the Chinese roms. I was aware of but I tried... and it doesn't accept these ROMs.
Has anyone tried to install the beta on the N2 flip global version?
