S20 plus stuck in a boot loop after uninstalling magic disk (trying to unroot) - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Accessories

Hi all as per the tiltle i rooted my s20 plus using odin and trwp and magic disk. I need to unroot as some important APPS wont work. so after a quick google it recommended simply uninstalling magic disk and this should do the trick. This i did but now i am stuck in a boot loop and no combinations of button presses seems to be able to boot into trwp or recovery mode. anybody help? many thanks

There are different methods to fix, as there are different causes for a bootloop.
You can check the following guide. It worked for many users ... Hopefully for you too:

[Q] Used Casual and now I'm in a bootloop please help!

I just got a galaxy note 2 not a day ago and I finally managed to root it, but for some god forsaken reason I didn't have a custom recovery. So I used casual thinking it would help me out, but when it was uploading the recovery it said it failed. I'm now in a boot loop and odin nor casual are recognizing my device in download mode. I can't get into recovery either. Please someone help! I'm about to have a nervous breakdown.

I used casual last night and it got me into a boot loop, and i had a breakdown !
Are you able to get into recovery at all? power phone off, then press and hold the Home button, Up volume, Power button *until recovery starts* dont let go when the device boots, keep holding.
After using casual the phone was able to go into TRWM or something (whatever recovery program it flashes). If you are able to get into recovery do a factory reset (not the advanced one) and your phone should work.
my phone boot loops after every flash and requires a factory reset, but still keeps the rom add.
I am thinking casual is not the way to root

Checkout this thread by Adam Outler called "DON'T ACCEPT OTA UPDATES" in the Verizon Galaxy Note II General section. I'm aware that you aren't experiencing this specific problem, but it should fix your boot loop problem. You'll need the two files that he makes available just below the picture. I've had others tell me that they used those files to successfully fix boot loops.

Adam has stated that if all you want is root, using CASUAL is like "killing an ant with an atomic bomb." CASUAL is for doing an irom unlock. In short, you get everything unlocked - recovery, bootloader, and root
Also as long as you read and follow directions, unlike most people are doing, CASUAL works perfectly fine.

[Q] Help needed: galaxy young stuck in cwm loop

Hi all,
I need some help please.
I tried to root my sons galaxy young S6310N using a video on you tube
However at the 4.41 point I didnt have the yes- root option.
I themn rebooted and it went back into CWM recovery. v6.0.3.2
It's been stuck in this for 2 days now, I have searched everywhere for a solution but I'm lost now. I have information overload I think.
I have tried to install drivers through Kies but it won't recognise my phone in CWM recovery or in download mode.
I have tried to install a custom rom via sd card, it seems to work but reboots into CWM again.
I fear I may have made a mess of it now by messing around with things I know nothing about. I panicked really.
The phone was running jelly bean and is only a week old.
I can get adb but not sure how to use it properly.
Could someone please help?
Thanks in advance
sorted it myself
Hi, just in case anyone was interested I managed to sort this.
I put phone into download mode (holding vol - & menu & power) then pressed up at logo screen to enter download mode.
My pc then installed drivers automatically (something I had been struggling with in CWM recovery mode)
I then installed stock rom recovery.tar.md5 file using odin and the phone rebooted as normal.
I have given up trying to root it now, I may learn properly before attempting again, or may leave it.
Search for your device first before making a thread..!!

Good..but always use recovery for ur phone only..or make it for ur phone..
And do any changes in stock ROM after creating a BACKUP of the same..
ROOTING is not a difficult now-a-days but overcoming from the loss of time and data after BRICKING is so painful.
If you are not friendly with the commands and codes then use a software for that or follow up the WRITTEN guide..or use FARMAROOT app.
Head to thread...Thanks Mr. Bin4ry for this awesome method:
Rooting almost every phone
Enjoy..!!

Galaxy Note 10.1 stuck on "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen

Dear all.
First of all, thanks for your attention, I really appreciate.
I have a GNote 10.1 Wi-Fi version (N8013) with stock Android 4.1.
My S-Pen was getting me crazy, because I was not able to use it correctly on the edges of the device. I tried an app that supposed to reset the alignment, but I did not work, so I googled and found that the only way to fix it was "factory reseting" the tablet.
So, I installed the TeamWin recovery and backed up my data. After that I hit the button "reboot". But before rebooting, the recovery screen "told me" that I was not rooted and "asked" if I would like to install SuperSU to get root access. I checked YES and rebooted.
After that I got stucked at the "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen (see attached file).
I've tried to switch off the note, but the screen goes off for one second and it lights up again at the same screen.
If I plug the USB cable and try to switch it off, the note goes to the battery charging screen. If I remove the USB and push the power button again, the tablet gets back to the "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen.
Odin seems to "connect" with the tablet.
I can enter both the download mode and the recovery mode (not the teamwin recovery).
Attached pictures of what I get.
Any sugestions?
Thanks!!!
Everything is ok now
Dear all,
Hope I can help you if you have a problem similar to mine.
I remembered that a PC with no OS stops on some screen, but everything else works, just as what was happening with my note.
I tought that I might have wiped more things than I should, so, the only thing I had to do was to restore the backup that I had.
To do this I should reinstall the TWRP and the only way was via Odin.
Solved the problem this way:
1. Downloaded the Odin (http://techbeasts.com/2013/08/08/download-odin-pc-latest-version-v-3-07/)
2. Downloaded the TWRP file (http://techerrata.com/get/twrp2/p4noterf/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.1.0-p4notewifi.tar)
3. Connected the Galaxy Note to my PC using the USB cable
4. Entered the "download mode"
5. Loaded the file from step 2 into the tablet using Odin
6. Rebooted the tablet
7. Entered the recovery mode (TWRP was working)
8. Restored the backup that I had
9. Rebooted again
Did the dance of victory!!!
I am so glad to have my device back.

But after charging it I removed the cable and it rebooted and got stuck on the Samsung screen. I can only access to Download mode. I didn't have any Recovery mode installed, and now I can't install one successfully via Odin...
I tried to install a new firmware... a recovery mode... nothing is working...

@ agelcer: Was your tablet rooted?
Hello. I havea similar problem with my note 2 phone. It will not get past the
samsung screen. My cpu knowledge is very limited. Are you open to accepting payment for attempting to fix my cell phone? All I want is the pictures off of it if that is all you can do to it. Pleass email me at [email protected] if you or anyone you know can help. Thanks....Jay
Same thing is happening to mine. I tried Odin but after the download the srceen goes black and then comes back to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 screen.
Hello folks.
Same problem here with a n8000.
It had the stock unrooted rom probably JellyBean.
Can only access Download Mode, nothing else.
I get connection to Odin, tried to flash original firmware, 4 file firmware, re-partition with pit file, flash a custom recovery, all seem to pass through but nothing changes, still stuck on 'Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1' screen, never moves on to boot animation and still can't access Recovery Mode.
However, something else I triy with Odin and it FAILS is ticking 'Nand Erase All'. It won't let me erase nand.
Could this mean some kind of memory corruption?
Does it have anything to do with EMMC?
If it does, is there a possible way to fix without replacing the hardware?
What else can I try before giving up?
It would be nice if other users who report this problem attempt to Nand Erase All and see if it also FAILS..
Thanks alot and sorry for the long post.
Edit: after posting I found this which is PROBABLY THE SOLUTION for me.
And here is another topic on this issue.
did you find the solution?

I assumed from my searches the solution would be JTAG or replace the EMMC.
Since I don't have the resources for any of those, I just abandoned it to the dust and rust..

I'm not very clear about bootloader upgrading, but I guess it was included in the 4 file firmware I tried flashing and it said 'success' but nothing changed..
I think it ain't just a softbrick since I can't erase nand..
What's your background, osirisx69?
This happened to ours as well just today. Unplugged it rebooted it and it's stuck. Can only access the Odin mode.

techman20, have you ever solved this? I ran to exact same issue and have been tried different methods for the past 2 days. I'm new to Android so need community's help.
Here is the current state of my device (GT-B9150 Samsung Homesync):
- In order to get root, flashed ROM MJ1 (TUR version), followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497102
- After flash the device got very slow so I figured I need to wipe the data and cache partition
- There is no volume key of the device so I use adb to reboot to recovery mode (debug mode has been enabled earlier), again there is no key so I didn't know how to select in the screen (should have use adb command as well, I was not that familar with adb), instead I put into the command rm -r /data, then the device dead
- After reboot the device stuck in the bootloop: I see samsung logo and homesync logo, NO adb connection (I think the debugging mode is not on)
- I tried flash a few other versions of the ROM and it does not working as well, all stuck same at the bootloop
I figured if I can wipe the data and cache partition after a fresh installation of ROM the device could be saved.
Here are a few path that I see can solve this:
Option 1: Get into recovery mode, but I don't know the key combination, also adb is not working so seems can not use command line either
Option 2: Since I'm able to get into download mode, I can use Odin to flash some sort of bootloader with adb function, so that I can later use command to get into recovery mode
Option 3: Complete wipe out the device, re-partition using Odin
Since I'm new I don't exactly know if any options here makes sense and what are the risk for each. Also I don't have the pip for option 3. Would be great if any expert here can shed some light on, it's been bothered me for 2 entire days at weekend.
Thanks,
Is there anyone can please help me with this issue, or provide some insights?
Thanks

for boot loop you need to clean data and cache partition. To do that you need to go to recovery mode.
To do that, turn off the device , hold the power button. First you will see its power on, keep it pressed. And after 5s , you can home sync will rebooted to recovery.
Hi all, I know this is too old subject, but unfortunately I had my homesync flashed firmware through Odin and I did nand erase all, it is now stuck to Samsung homesync logo after booting. I know it is required wipe but how if no recovery is installed into the original firmware? any thought?

reboot to ffbm - phone will not start

Hello All
I find myself in a desperate situation.
I have rebooted to ffbm mode by mistake and my phone will not start.
I have just the white start screen with the wilefox logo...it does not get passed this.
I could do with some urgent help if there is anyone out there?...
Thanks
Update....I'm out of it...thank god...if anyone else finds themselves here then volume down and power button for a few seconds. Then you find yourself in the recovery mode where you can select reboot using the volume keys to navigate up/down. Rebooting then worked. What a relief!

Not working for me , help please ???, I had just unlocked my tab bootloader and flashed twrp recovery but instead of booting inyo recovery I booted into ffbm mode by pressing power mode , you are the only one who can help me please ??
I don't like to leave you high-and-dry...but I moved on from this phone already 3 years ago and its a distant memory.
All I can suggest is trying combinations of the buttons like. vol+ & vol- at the same time then press power and hold all 3 buttons.
Also on previous phones where I messed about and nearly killed the thing I found that holding the power button for AGES would eventually wake it up. It may be a waste of time but on occasions I found that just doing the same thing over and again eventually brought a result (although this is said to be the first sign of madness...so careful with that). Good luck with your endeavour...been there many times :S

May be I was wrong before that it is because of ffbm but here is the thing with which I had just suffered ... Yesterday just thought to go and unlock the device and root it with magisk, but when I booted into twrp , I found the twrp wasn't showing the device internal storage , so I searched on youtube and found that formatting data will help so I just did that rebooted again in twrp and it did work but while wiping other stuffs such as dalvik, cache , I accidentally wiped the system so I end up getting a lenovo tab 4 10 which can't boot anymore, And one more stuff is that my device is dm verity which is a biggest headache for me , I had almost 5 samsung phones and all rooted easily but the procedure of lenovo and their support is worst, I had decided to never go with any lenovo product in future but also can't waste my money on that tab : (
Btw ... Coming back to the topic while navigating to the device forum I found the o.p. has posted a system sparse image which can be used to restore the system but even after restoring it my device is not booting up only lenovo logo is popping up and then into fastboot mode, sadly there is no custom roms available for this device as I had also thought to flash the firmware using the guide but I am totally confused and scared about to not to do anything which will hard brick this device, I am still able to boot into recovery which I think is a strange think because after flashing sparse image it should be replaced by the stock recovery file, but as described no booting into system, I tried contacting in the xda forum but no one is replying , I even tried sending pm to the o.p. but no response .
I am conpletely newbie in this fastboot devices and the lack of support just sucks ,thanks for reading this and replying me if you have any suggestion from your previous experience then free fell to tell.

Maybe you have this fixed by now.. I searched around a bit about this and found this:
https://blogthetech.com/flash-file-lenovo-tab-4-10-tb-x304l-firmware-download-stock-rom/
Only one step I'm unsure about and that is "You will need to power off your device and connect it to the PC while off."
On my Wileyfox device (different device, I know) I need to power off and then press and hold all buttons (power, vol +, vol -) until device vibrates and gives a blank screen/no screen, this is how to boot into EDL mode on my device.
Your device maybe works differently, try both ways.
This is probably the best way of unbricking your tablet and here is the firmware file you need:
TB-X304L (WiFi and LTE)
TB-X304F (WiFi only)
Do I understand you correctly that you also have a dm-verity check issue?
For that you need to be booted up and have USB debugging on, tablet connected to pc and you type in this command:
Code:
adb reboot "dm-verity enforcing"
It will reboot and dm-verity check should by then be fixed.

I should've given it another read, you have headache over dm-verity cause you want to root your device with custom recovery and stuff like that. This command line will not do you anything, not anything you want anyways.
On a Wileyfox Swift 2 device there was an bad uptade that made dm-verity check fail, this command was used to "reset" dm-verity. I assumed you had a similar issue but now I'm sure yours is a different kind of issue.
You would probably want to find a way of disabling dm-verity on your device.
Made one search for it and found this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389
If it is only root you want you could get it with Magisk without flashing a custom recovery, you need the boot image of your device and you patch it with Magisk.
Then you flash the patched boot.img to your device. I believe this way works around dm-verity so is why I mention it.
https://www.droidwin.com/patch-stock-boot-image-flash-magisk/
