Question safe app to remove using adb command ? - Redmi Note 10

i would like to debloat my redmi note 10 phone so anyone have a clue ?

I would be interested too...

The phone must unlock Xiaomi.

You don't need to unlock/root your phone to delete some of the built-in apps/services, just use adb commands https://selivan.github.io/2020/02/25/removing-bloatware-from-xiaomi-miui-android.html
I tried it on an new phone right out of the box, worked fine

thanks ! only miui scanner and themes left for me , other is all remove

Almost the same here (I kept Cleaner and Themes)
And I also removed Quick Ball (com.miui.touchassistant)
After crossing informations from various thread on the net (I googled "debloat xiaomi miui 12") I ended up uninstalling 50 apps from my brand new Note 10.
And I kept any app for which there was any doubt !

I really like this one https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools

I am waiting on the latest update. Then going to make a prerooted system.img with SuperSU and file manager. So you guys can delete whatever you want. Battery life is good. Going to tweak the kernel and get little more out of are devices.

Kingroot seems not working for me
It ran all from 0 to 100%, but I cannot delete anything in adb shell.
It seems, it installs an app, but I do not think I have root.
Anyway, Kingroot is only chinese, I cannot read anything.

That's weird. Try to root again. Pay attention to the watch also.
???do you have USB debugging on also
it seems there is a new app in system.
Just found out using adb.
But I cannot see a new app on the watch.
I cannot get adb in root working, should be adb shell adb root or su.
And I cannot uninstall system apps using adb uninstall or pm uninstall.
I wanted to get rid of Jawbone on the watch as a test.
For me it seems this app isnt working.

Don't get rid of jawbone.. People are known to have problems.
Plus I will make a video later for you.
Same problem, KingRoot installs "KRhelper4PC" or (something like that) to my watch but there's nothing to open. ADB is definitely allowed on the watch, it asked for permission to connect to my computer and I set it to "always connect to this device". ADB shell lets me do some basic file exploring on the watch, but su doesn't work.
Are you guys on the latest update. I haven't updated my device yet to see if it works still.

[MOD][Debloat | Black Google bootanimation] Taintless

Going to try and keep this short, sweet, and to the point.
I modified and created a zip for personal use all the way back to my Nexus 5 days and through my N5X use. I like my ROMs extremely minimal. Removal of media files and applications that I didn't deem necessary to have. Even went as far and told the script to remove the stock launcher and replace it with Nova. This little guy worked wonders for me and saved me loads of time. My app drawer (on initial start up) only consisted of the essentials; phone, contacts, messaging, a file manager, and Google Play. Only leaving the rest to be downloaded as needed.
----------------
Since ROMs aren't abundant yet, I'm deciding to share my zip to those who actually want to remove system apps and not settle on them just being disabled. Also, to keep from going into a file manager after every OTA/update removing each app individually.
-----------------
Had to modify this little guy to work on our phones.. It took me a bit to figure out (of course, right? Nothing is 'straight forward' with these phones )
-----------------
1.) I use this for personal use but did take some consideration in other users so majority of what I don't use is still there, this list would be a lot longer (and yes, some apps are for my older phones and didn't feel like removing them from the script).
2.) I will not remove an app from the removal script - if you don't like whats being removed, don't flash the zip.
3.) If I have forgot something that comes on the phone that CAN be downloaded from the Play Store (and can not be uninstalled), let me know. I'll add it to the script.
4.) If apps you are currently using are in the removal script, don't worry. The script makes them a user app instead of a system app (in my case it did anyway).
What's removed: :highfive:
*Clock (Google)
*Maps
*YouTube
*DownloadProviderUi
*HTMLViewer
*Calendar (Google)
*Drive (Google)
*OmaDmclient
*Photos (Google)
*Gallery2
*BasicDreams
*Calendar (Google)
*GoogleJapaneseInput
*Chrome
*CMFileManager
*Email
*Exchange2
*Galaxy4
*GooglePinyinIME
*Music2 (Google Music)
*NoiseField
*OpenWnn
*PhaseBeam
*Gmail
*Videos (Google Movies)
*KoreanIME
*OpenDelta
*Launcher3
What's added: :victory:
*Google stock bootanimation (black background with no text!)
*1 additional ringtone
*2 additional notifications
*4 additional alarm ringtones
Installation: :silly:
1. backup your ROM (there is no 'undo' button, so if you want whatever you want back, do a restore)
2. flash through TWRP (do not wipe cache/dalvik unless you want to get stuck on the Google logo - a hard power reset solves that problem anyways)
3. reboot

Again, you all are on XDA for a reason and know the risks of modifying your device in any sense. Since everyone else does this, I'll do it too:
I'm not responsible for your device.
For those that are having force closing issues on certain apps, enabling immersive mode within apps seems to fix the problem..
Things you need:
You need Android Terminal Emulator in the Play Store or cmd on Windows
i would prefer to do this from a PC so you can copy and paste the commands, but it can be done with any terminal emulator also.
Step 1: Connect your phone to your PC enable USB debugging mode
Step2: Open up cmd in Windows or the emulator on your phone and copy/paste or type:
- adb shell
itll give you a '$'
then copy and paste or type:
- settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
should enable automatically.
so a debloat script and replacing boot ani with a black one? ill give it ago next time i redo my phone lol (i already debloated and have that boot ani)

Version/update doesn't matter..
Corrupted as in how?
I still use twrp 3.1.1. Beta 2
Corrupted as in it won't let me boot up into the OS. It's with other mods too
So far I've received an issue from a user on here (youll be able to read their issue on the last page) and i assume its user error due to me not having any issues at all..
My question is - has anyone else tried this script with complete success?? Given the 'thanks' i received, im assuming (again lol) that its working fine. In my experience on XDA, people only comment on whats wrong, and keep quiet when things are running as they should.. I'm now asking to voice your success just for reassurance for me
let me know guys, thanks! :good::fingers-crossed:
Just wanted to confirm that the debloat script works on the Feb update.. Just did it myself :highfive:
However, I did have a couple force closes on the Google app and Twitter (weird) -- after some testing, i got it working by enabling 'settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox' again
After I enabled that again, everything functions fine. :good:
Maybe this is needed for some apps that force close after flashing this debloat script (if you like immersive mode in apps)..
I'll post instructions in the 2nd post on the first page
Hey, thanks for this! Any chance of an update to April release?

ADB Help please

I hope I'm posting this in the right place, I looked around a bit but I didn't get anything except more confused. So here's my issue, I'm a noob at all this rooting/programming business so before I messed with my nice phone I've been practicing on a LG L15G Sunrise TracFone running android 4.4.2. I gained root access with Kingroot, started to remove some bloatware that seemed safe to uninstall but I was wrong. Something I removed is now causing my settings app to crash. As soon as you try to open it, it just crashes. I don't have a recovery and can't find a rom anywhere for this particular phone. SO, since it's a $10 phone that I only use as a mp3 player anyway I'm not too concerned so I just want to fix it to see if I can and maybe learn something. I have an idea to restore the phone and my main question is can you request admin rights for an app on the phone if i hook it up to my PC with adb shell? If so what are the commands, or scripts, whatever you call it. And my second question is again about using adb console. I want to install an apk file onto the phone, but since my settings don't work, I can't get to the security tab to allow apps from unknown sources. Is there a way to turn this on with adb? Or somehow install the apk manually without permission.
Yeah you should be able to install a program and authorize root access, I don't know about kingroot I haven't heard great things but otherwise what's the point of root. Try installing flashfire and see if you have root access (careful with flashfire it's powerful).. If not I might recommend trying to replace kingroot with supersu like in the following post

Thank you all for your help. I did find the info on another thread and I now have unknown sources enabled. I was planning on replacing kingroot with supersu, there's plenty of tutorials on that floating around. Just wanted to regain access to my settings first before I made things worse. So now I have an idea, tell me if it's stupid. one of the apps i removed screwed the phone up, don't know which one, however, I was able to find apk files of the apps i uninstalled deep in the root browser. If I took these and reinstalled them back in their rightful spots as system apps would everything fall back into place like it never happened? Cuz that would be cool. I've never spent enough hours on this $10 phone I could have bought 10 of em by now if i was working lol. Just glad I was smart enough to take the time to learn this crap on a cheap phone instead of bricking my Moto X on the first go round. thanks for the help guys.

Removing Stock Apps -> no updates?

Hi all!
Last time I modded a phone was cyanogen mod on my samsung galaxy s (yes no number), and from back then I remember that simply uninstalling stock apps caused problems when updating.
Since that's what I want to do again now (too much bloat on that phone...), I wanted to ask if I still will be running into such issues with it.
I dont want to change the ROM, just remove a lot of the apps I dont want/use, will I still be able to get updates from xiaomi w/o problems?
Thanks for reading, much appreciated!
Yep, no problems with updates. Right after receiving the phone I removed (from the system and via adb) a lot of preinstalled bloatware, including some Xiaomi apps and the phone was updated to MIUI 9.6.22 without any problems.

i already uninstalled what the system allowed me to w/o root, did you remove anything requiring root (i dont know what adb is...)?
My device is not rooted, for most bloatware concerned root is not necessary while using adb.
See https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/debloating-xiaomi-poco-f1-safe-to-t3836119 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/bloat-poco-f1-tested-t3836457 but read them thoroughly, as there are some comments that some of the safe-to-remove services/app are indeed required to properly operate the device.

thank you very much, i even found out why i couldnt get updates any longer back in the day (with root):
These two commands respectively specify that the system app will only be uninstalled for the current user (and not all users, which is something that requires root access) and that the cache/data of the system application will be preserved (which can’t be removed without root access). Therefore, even if you “uninstall” a system application using this method, you can still receive official OTA updates from your carrier or OEM.

Nokia 8 apps that are turned off suddenly turn back on by themselves

my phone has been doing weird stuff lately like apps that i specificaly turned off will now turn on by themselves, my battery drains faster too, getting more calls from a "private number".
i updated my phone to the latest update and it runs android 9 pie.
all apps are up to date aswell. i check that often.
i scanned with malwarebytes but it found nothing suspicious.
bootloader is locked aswell. not rooted.
any ideas about what might be happening or how to fix this?
thanks in advance.
If you turn off an user-app it only gets stopped for the time you have Android actually running. When you restart Android then it's brought back to life again.

I have this phone for like 2 years now, those apps that i disabled have remained disabled for 2 years now even when i restart phone or shutdown and boot up again. now suddenly 3 of them enable themselves while i am not doing anything.
1: Youtube app
2: Google News app
3: Google Photo app.
These apps were disabled for at least 2 years. i have no clue how they can re-enabled themselves without me pushing the enable button.

no need, i am glad you tried to help. maybe it sounds a bit dull but it has been like this for a whole week now where i have to make sure i dont update these apps and disable them first before using google play to update all apps.
i changed launcher now to Evie launcher. maybe that work since these apps dont enable themselves for a full day now.
seems like its still going even after launcher change. its only those 3 apps that were disabled and now get enabled automatically.
Why not simply uninstall the apps in question?

You can disable them with adb commands. It effectively hides them. When done right the system no longer sees them as installed or running and they dont get updates from the play store anymore. Should sort out your problem with them re-enabling automatically. Not sure if you have done this already, but if not, give it a try.

Oke i have not tried it via adb, what i recently tried tho was unlocking my bootloader, but in adb my phone was only detected in normal usage mode where all the apps are, but in downloadmode it disapeared, even with the right driver installed.
So i have to run a few codes via adb when my phone is turned on with all the apps visible?

Yes,connect your phone powered up to your usb port of your laptop or p.c. and open adb command. Then run the command adb devices to make sure adb picks up your phone. If it does, you are good to go. Do you know how which command lines to run etc to uninstall apps in adb?

Bloatware is stored in Android OS partitions /system and/or /system-priv. Hence one needs ROOT privileges to remove it.

Yes,to remove the app and its files entirely root is needed. If you bothered to read the post,he is battling to keep the apps disabled. And by disabling them with adb the way i suggested,it should fix the problem for him.
