HOW TO FLASH??
Make sure you take a backup of your current Kernel before flashing! (I'm not taking responsibility for any damage)
If you installed a custom Kernel before please flash the boot.img and dtbo.img of the currently installed ROM.
Then just flash the zip file through recovery/franco kernel manager, Happy Flashing!Note: Builds with the prefix 'v' in them like v7, v6.9 etc are for miui vendor based AOSP ROMs. The builds starting with the prefix 'x' in it like x2 is for oss vendor based AOSP ROMs.

As a long time Stormbreaker user (MIUI versions, currently on v6), thanks for bringing your work to XDA-Devs.

Sorry, newbie question. Will this work on Legion OS? If not, which kernel can I try for Legion OS?

LegionOS uses the stock vendor so you can't use kernels designed for OSS vendors (just like this one).
Here are a few options:
f1xy: https://github.com/F1xy-kernels/SURYA_kernel/releases
v0id: MOD EDIT: Link Removed
Optimus Drunk (ONLY v11.24 and below): https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/kernel-surya-optimus-drunk-kernel-v11-26-29-04.4198627/
Any version of stormbreaker that starts with a v (not an x).

Thanks much Sensei. Another thing, how can I identify if the rom is using OSS vendor or Stock vendor?

The devs usually inform people. Like in this case: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cial-22-04-2021.4198947/page-27#post-84882751
If they don't specifically tell which vendor they use, the answer will (most likely) be stock vendor. You can still ask in the roms' threads to make sure.

Would the V version work on EliteROM MIUI?

which rom u guys recommend to use with this kernel?

Hey i am using this with ancient os rom... I have realised my battery charges below 900ma if the phn screen is on and at 4000-5000ma if the screen is off... I know the thermal can affect this widely but it's not that in this case bcoz jt happens instantly in 1 sec. So the rom group on telegram is telling me that this is happening bcoz of kernel... If that's case, like if you have some lock or something than i would recommend removing it. Or if i can do it myself tell me.
The device is povo x3 karna
With stormbreaker x2
Any help would be appreciated
The peaks in the screen shots are where i turned the screen off.

am using eu ROM.
Is there a kernel suitable for eu??
Or does this kernel work on eu roms??

Try the versions starting with "v" instead of "x." The latest version is currently v8 and x2.
Make sure you have backups before flashing.
EDIT: they're not compatible with miui ROMs, only AOSP.

AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

Known Issues
Clock application force closes when selecting "profiles" under alarm. Other than that that app works flawlessly and will still get you up for work or school
If you use a Google apps package "Mini" or higher you won't even have this issue.
Benschholds Custom Kernel Support
At first I was going to add Benschholds Custom Kernel by default to my ROM but after talking to him we decided it was best if I keep to using my stock AOKP kernel and just link his kernel here for those who dare to be different, so the choice is up to you I've included the link in this post where you can research his kernel, I have personally tested this kernel and say it's really good for performance and speed but the stock kernel (The one included in my ROM by default) Is the best for Stability and battery life... So the choice is yours

(Don't forget to give thanks on his thread if you appreciate he's work)
Google Apps & SuperSU
There is a known AOKP issue that means you'll loose your Google Apps when flashing a new update.
The fix for this is to always flash the gapps package of your choice along with the update itself in recovery!
SuperSU is not present by default but feel free to flash it.
I've personally tested the SuperSU 2.70 beta with my ROM and it works perfectly!
Yeeeep one more ROM tot flash this use to be my favourite on my Nexus 4

If you ever say I am responsible for anything happening to your phone, I will just sit back and party.
Development of this ROM has been shortly halted due to maintenance of Resurrection Remix, I am not able to work much on this ROM. Sorry for inconvenience. It will be continued soon.

Newest-available Synaptics touchscreen firmware
Dynamic CPU input boost driver I wrote myself (makes the phone feel smooth without destroying battery life)

Well i still have one doubt. Is it a rom based on PAC-MAN rom sources (i know in Kitkat days there used to be a Pac-Man rom team) with Sultan's device blobs, and kernel, Camera etc. or is it toally Sultan's CM13 sources with added customizations? I hope that makes sense.

Please do some research if you have any concerns about using custom ROMs/Kernels.
You are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for

Lambda Kernel was my development start point in the LG G2 glorious period, now you're looking at a new "horizon of possibility" for the LeEco device family. This Kernel has been written from scratch since January 2017, resulting in a small, polished and minimal core that's migratable across Kernel revisions.
It follows the flash n' go principle, everything packed in the Kernel is already tweaked and ready to be used as a daily driver for everyone.
The downloads, contributors and source code are at the bottom of this post, it is recommended to read everything before flashing.
DEVEL: My own testing builds for certain features and tests. They aren't normally shared, although sometimes I publish them. If you see one of them, don't forget they are recommended for advanced users/developers only because of their potential changes that must be debugged before publishing a WEEKLY version.
WEEKLY: They are closer to the proper release version but still can have some errors or bugs to be reported and tested, they should be generally stable.
SNAPSHOT: That's the version for the ones that don't want their devices to be lab rats for new features and staging changes. I don't know whether or not to say something is stable enough to be a SNAPSHOT but if you see one it's because it's been sometime running well.
Pretty straightforward once you get used to it, isn't it?
A general panorama for Lambda Kernel, always matching the latest release, in this case the WEEKLY from 09-15-2018.
HOT ↠ Source-code changes for Lambda Kernel.

Q. How to install this Kernel?
A. Download the version you'd like to use and flash using a custom recovery like TWRP.
Q. What ROMs does this Kernel support?
A. It should support all versions of Android 8.1, being it CAF based.
Q. Does this Kernel support Treble ROMs or GSIs?
A. No, at the moment the /vendor mount point is not present and thus it's not supported.

Thanks, I'd like to update the thread on what the new version of today has but I'll wait a bit, it's just a classic (CAF) Kernel for EUI with patched battery phandle and faster charging compared to stock but still safe, same constants just a little faster due to updates and fixes I made in charger code.
Hope I can update this and the Pro3 thread as soon as possible with the new stuff.
@GalaticStryder highly appreciated that you chose to work on this device, really looking forward for this kernel to expand its compatibility to all roms, God speed!!

Backup your boot partition and flash it over, I've only tested it on 26S but on Pro3 my Kernel ran on all versions I tested. Make sure you're not encrypted otherwise it won't flash (Indian 16S for example), to get rid of encryption you'd flash the latest Chinese version or one that is based on it.
My leeco set has this strange color calibration issue-its very warm and yellowish- due to which I don't use stock roms. I also am able to use only those custom ROMs which have color calibration or kcal built in. Is it possible to implement kcal support in your kernel? Thanks a lot.

Same for me. But most people keep saying I am wrong. Not kcal, default color calibration in kernel should be changed, because it's invalid.

Could you dump what type of panel you have got and variant? Mine seems to be fine (truly) but I see the panel calibration has a few faults on the others from stock itself, and both open sourced codes for Max2 and Pro3 are the same regarding the panel, no updates.
Need to boot the stock Kernel again and dump all I can from Kernel logs or... reverse engineering.
If it is not excuse to ask, will be there any updates for Lambda Kernel for LG G2 ever?

Truly I guess. Screenshot:
I'm on Lineage 15.1 currently. To get it white I need to set LiveDisplay 9700K. Default color calibration looks terribly wrong.
Btw is your kernel suitable for Lineage 15.1? Or it''s for EUI only.
BTW, works perfectly on Le Max 2 Small eUI V18.
My screen seems yellowish cuz I turned on Reader Mode.
If turned off, my screen is white enough
Hey thank you so much for your kernel. I can't use EUI ROMs because when quick charge is on it never charges more than 1000mH.. But on custom ROMs I can charge my phone even with 4000mH. It's a life saver sometimes.. Does your kernel provide this feature for the EUI @GalaticStryder?
What is the battery life with this kernel?

Hello everyone, this is my personal kernel for the OnePlus 5. While I am not a super star kernel developer, I do know my way around it. Hopefully you enjoy :highfive:
NOTE: This list fluctuates with versions, it will not always been 100% up to date
Here are the major features of the kernel (feel free to explore Github)
Based on GzR kernel
Up to date with the latest stable Linux version (4.4.159)
Up to date with the latest CAF branch (kernel.lnx.4.4.r27-rel)
Mainline patches from Linux, focusing on bug fixes/security
Mainline CFQ scheduler improvements
Several subsystems converted to use power efficient workqueues
Backlight dimmer
KCAL color control
CPU Input Boost driver
Devfreq Boost driver
Sound control
Wakelock control
Westwood as the default TCP algorithm
Built with the latest Google Clang 7.0.2 toolchain
Hides bootloader unlock from SafetyNet (can still fail through other means)
Disables dm-verity
Does NOT modify decryption status
Flashed with AnyKernel2 (thanks to @osm0sis)
Primary: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283181
Through TWRP:
If you are on a custom ROM:
If you are on the kernel that came with your ROM: flash the kernel zip and reboot
If you are on a custom kernel: dirty flash your ROM zip, flash the kernel zip, and reboot
Upgrading from one Reaper version to the other:
Just flash the kernel zip and reboot
1.1 Q: I am having an issue, can you help me?
1.1 A: I am not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue, following this guide. If I can't reproduce reliably, I'm not going to fix the issue.
1.2 Q: What ROMs are compatible with the custom builds?
1.2 A: My daily driver is GZOSP so I test all the builds on this ROM but this kernel should work on other pie ROMs. If you are using a ROM with no issues, let me know and I'll add it here! If you are having issues, following the above steps and I'll attempt to fix whatever incompatibility there is. If I can't do it without breaking GZOSP compatibility, you're out of luck.
1.3 Q: Can you add xyz feature?
1.3 A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I will not go digging super hard for commits and I will ignore requests that don't include this information. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration.
1.4 Q: How do I control the kernel?
1.4 A: I want to be very clear: the kernel does NOT need to be tuned to be useful. Most of the improvements are under the hood and don't require any user intervention to take advantage of them. In fact, if you don't know what you are doing, you could degrade the experience. To control the user visible features of the kernel listed above, I recommend using @flar2's EX Kernel Manager.
1.5 Q: OMFG MY BATTERY SUXXXX PLS FIX!!!
1.5 A: The kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone.
The various other developers for their patches
@martinusbe, @nathanchane for their work on GzR kernel
@nathanchance for android-linux-stable organization, thread inspiration, patches, tips and for inspiring me to start kernel development
@KuranKaname for helping me with kernel and being a bro
@nychitman1 for him work on DU kernel (lots of patches are inspired from him work)
@mady51 for introducing me in kernel development
@osm0sis for AnyKernel2
@akhilnarang for him modified AnyKernel2 for OP5, help and patches for my kernel
All of you guys for viewing the thread

I like your work so much, and I know you do everything perfect, I'll add your kernel in my build as default kerenl as soon as I'll get time to build.
Best of luck [emoji106]

RELEASE
This is an alternative ROM for the Sony Xperia XZ1, offering several privacy features.
Please report any issues you observe apart from the ones listed below. Logs are needed for me to fix anything (preferably dmesg and logcat).

INSTALLATION
Put the zip file of the ROM on your sdcard, boot into recovery, Wipe Cache/Dalvik/Data, Format DATA, reboot to TWRP again and flash. When coming from stock: boot into TWRP, format data, reboot to recovery and wipe all internal partitions. Then flash the ROM, GApps (if needed) and root (if needed).
NOTE: Currently, TWRP DON'T SUPPORT DECRYPTION, so YOU MUST PUT THE ROM ON YOUR SDCARD TO FLASH IT!
ADDON.D Doesn't work too. So you need to reflash gapps and magisk with every update. When updating from builds, simply dirty flash the ROM.KNOWN ISSUES
Stock camera is not working anymore due to incompatibility of stock library (libimageprocessorjni.so) with new libgui
Currently, LOS isn't feature complete yet, so things like theming, button customizations, advanced menù etc. are still missing
You tell me...

There is VoLTE support, the same as for the regular poplar version (should work anyway afaik, never tested kddi build myself).
Is there support by your carrier on stock and it's missing from our trees? Then check out my answer here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/12-unofficial-pixelexperience-25-02-2022.4405407/post-86488551

You can't, we don't have full QC bluetooth support anymore - because we can't. We are now using AOSP stack.
correction: Apparently aptx should work, according to a tester. LDAC won't be possible.
New ROM version 1.1 is up boyz!
Changelog:
advanced reboot menu added
more button customizations
switched to a new bpf kernel backport
few under the hood improvements

Apparently SOV36 does not work well with VoLTE because the modem specifications are different from the global version.
Thanks for your support!
Thanks for the rom, now I will try it on the Canadian xz1
