- You must wipe before installing this OS.
- This OS has userdata encrypted by default
- You are intended to relock your bootloader with this OS (if your device is marked supported for that).
DivestOS does *not* support the following:
- Google Apps (OpenGAPPS)
- DRM (Widevine)
- alternative recoveries (TWRP)
- root (Magisk)
- runtime modification frameworks (Xposed or theme engines)

As TWRP gives error "Signal 6" when trying to flash, I'm listing the only way (AFAIK) to flash this ROM right now without encountering errors:
1. Be on unlocked bootloader
2. Flash Lineage 18.1 recovery (found at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/clark-unofficial-18-1.4234777/ )
3. Erase Data, then Cache, then System from the LOS recovery
4. Flash over sideload the latest DivestOS zip
5. Reboot to system and setup your phone

Yes, you can use the DivestOS recovery to flash but then the modem firmware won't be extracted.
This is fixed in chrmhoffmann's unfinished 18.1 branch as far as I am aware.
14.1 can be flashed successfully with TWRP.
Thank you for testing and noting it for others.

Perhaps you could cherry pick the fix from chrmhoffmann's 18.1 branch, which is I'd say even stable enough to make the whole ROM 18.1 if wanted (I used 18.1 as a daily driver since the bugs are 1:1 as on 17.1)
Anyway, thanks for this amazing ROM and thanks for keeping this device alive!

It is this one: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_motorola_clark/+/304224
I actually did pick it, but it still wasn't functional under -user.
I had a patch to force recovery permissive, but I don't really want to ship that.
The 18.1 branch does look finished, I'm not too sure why it hasn't been merged yet.
I'd build it, but I don't like cherrypicking too many commits (for archive/reproducibility purposes), and they don't seem to be mirrored in a personal repo either.

I'd say it wouldn't harm to exactly include just a permissive recovery while keeping the system itself enforcing or, perhaps remove the recovery entirely from the site for 17.1, as it can be confusing for people who will not read this thread but find the site casually.
another possibility would be to include and post here a "first time flash" recovery here, in other words a Permissive DivestOS Recovery posted only here, permessive and intended to be used just to flash the 17.1 for the first time, leaving official builds enforcing.

I will make the recovery permissive next build cycle. Bootloader is unlocked anyway, doesn't matter all too much.

does its job perfectly TWRP lineage 17.1
He is able to decrypt this ROM and everything works, including starting the modem.

About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

I have moved to Stock Oreo Firmware base so you will have to flash Stock Oreo first and then move to lineage or else Fingerprint will not work

Note :-
We can now run 64bits ROM on our phone.
But actually we have to run app_process (system server) as 32bits, mainly cause of sensors non working actually with a 64bits system server.
More to come next, vendor tree is still missing many 64bits blobs, and some of our proprietary services still run in 32bits mode too.
As we have found out , Flashing stock whilst having anything 64bit even the recovery for some reason the efs (IMEI) gets wiped .
I do not recommend you revert to stock on any 64bit rom.

Great work bro. All the hardwork finally we get a nice pie rom. Thank you very much soham

Yes,
First follow this guide to unlock your bootloader.
Then install the above mentioned TWRP using ADB & FASTBOOT.
After that follow the instructions in the thread.
Good luck!
thanks for the New year gift just waiting for the volte fix

Hi there,
first thank you for this fine release. I am interested in installing this rom but have a few questions which could also be interesting for other users.
1. I am currently using LineageOS 15.1, can I flash this rom directly after a clean wipe or do I need to flash the stock firmware first? I have read that flashing stock firmware could be dangerous regarding loosing the IMEI.
2. I have installed TWRP 3.2.1 and was trying to do a backup of EFS and persist partions. Only the EFS partition is selectable for backup, persist seems to be missing.
3. Is the stock camera working fine or is there a long delay when starting like in other 15.1 roms?

Yes,
First follow this guide to unlock your bootloader.
Then install the above mentioned TWRP using ADB & FASTBOOT.
After that follow the instructions in the thread.
Good luck!

ATTENTION :-
Just a heads up, that we are moving to Stock Oreo's firmware, so it's better that you update to it for the upcoming Pie Roms.

So wasn't a waste of time trying out the crappy Stock Oreo after all. Thanks
Any tested fm radio?

Yes, it's working.
Thanks a lot for your work! It seems like finally I'm gonna install a custom ROM in cedric  I have a Oreo stock untouched device, any heads up as how to not loose IMEI or mess up with something else?
Also, is the camera totally working? Thanks a lot again!

It's recommended to backup fully working EFS/persist before messing with 64bit TWRP/ROMs.
For the unknown reason, reverting to stock (using fastboot) with anything 64bit at least once installed (even TWRP) wipes the IMEI.
Idk about the camera, but I'd like to ask the same as I'm also interested in trying LOS based on Pie.
SafetyCheck is certified? No lags and stuttering?

At first I thought the camera was working fine. There is no big startup delay when starting the camera app (just the normal second). Flashlight, front camera and video recording also worked for me.
But when I am trying to take a picture from within a messenger app my phone crashes or something. The same thing happens If a take more than one picture. The camera app seems to crash and the whole phone becomes unusable. I only can see a black screen or my lock screen.
How do you back up EFS?

What is working so far (tested on X00HD)
- Booting
- Wi-Fi
- RIL (calling, SMS, mobile data, and possibly VoLTE) (dual SIM works)
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- Automatic brightness
- USB (MTP, ADB, etc.)
- AOSP offline charging
- Hardware keystore (password, PIN, pattern)
- LiveDisplay
- Sensors (rotation, accelerometer, etc...)
- It's surprisingly smooth, more than stock
What's not working
- Fingerprint
- Camera and flashlight (still requires some work) (because of this some overheating and battery draining might be here)
- Notification LED
Note: Even though Oreo firmware works, Pie firmware is preferred, as I develop the ROM using it, bugs reported with Oreo firmware will be ignored
To install it, follow this https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...t/firmware-pie-firmware-updater-asus-t4124547 or install Pie beta before flashing this custom ROM
Instructions
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Unlock the bootloader
- If you use X00HD, install my TWRP build (you can find it here on XDA), else if you have X00I or X00ID, use aaaaaaziskurnia TWRP build
- Reboot to recovery
- Format data, stock ROM always encrypt it
- Flash the latest build
- Reboot

New update!
- Added OTA updates, who needs to upgrade from the latest LineageOS without OTA, just install this apk, in subsequent builds you will not need to install anything, everything will be included in the firmware anyway.
- Synchronized with the latest sources
- Security patch from March
- Added information about the build directly from the updates application (updater).
- Correction of sound volume in all speakers.
After the OTA update, Magisk flies off, be prepared for this. You can install the update on any custom recovery, even with an encrypted /data partition. Updates are seamless, they don't break the system, everything loads properly.
We also have a telegram group, be sure to join if you need help or you want to discuss something.

Fruitful discussion, and successful updates!
I have been trying the ROM on my Redmi 9 for the last couple of days. I have to say that the ROM is relatively stable (slightly less than an official nightly release), and most of the features work just fine. Although, I noticed 2 bugs.
The first and most important one is that at times, the display stops working at all, even though the OS responds to the button presses. The only way to resolve this for now is to reboot the phone.
The second one is some occasional choppy video playback for video in 60 FPS (tested with NewPipe, I have to see if I have the same issue with other players like MPV).
Also, is FM Radio support going to be added in the future, or it isn't available on the Poco M2?

I will do so, maybe I'll do a clean install of the ROM again while trying this solution. But won't it remove Lineage OS?
I don't have much experience with Xiaomi devices, and it seems kind of weird to do so.

Thanks for this rom. I have installed it an it looks good. I'm not using this phone, so I don't test much, but all seems to be OK.
Currently I have SHRP, LOS, BitGapps, Magisk 24.3 with SafetyNet fix and Props Config. Magisk 23 works too.
OpenGaps pico and NikGaps don't install.

NikGapps, BiTgapps and FlameGapps were tested and working tho BitGapps and FlameGapps performed better due to more up to date packages.
Make sure that you are using the latest up-to-date TWRP recovery, because older versions do not have proper support for android 12.

TWRP.
I performed OTA update. My recovery is SHRP. Backup/restore of Bitgapps failed. System flashing went OK and Magisk flashed itself correctly. System doesn't start now, after spending some time in boot animation phone reboots to recovery.
Well, looks like gapps doesn't cooperate with this version of LOS. I have tried NikGapps - flashing looked OK, but no gapps in system after reboot, OpenGapps pico - not enough memory to install, BitGapps - probably prevents system from update.
Updated the design of the post, updated all the links. The most relevant is now available in the post. You can read all changelogs in the spoiler.

Install over 12.5.1. 12.5.3 may cause problems
On first post, when describing install procedure, you give a link to 12.5.3 firmware. Has recommendation been changed to 12.5.1?

LineageOS-20.0 microG For S8/S8+/Note 8 /Note 7/ FE
With the rise of Big Tech and the encroachment of government into our lives , I felt more of a desire to move away from Google and the like.
Samsung S8/S8+/Note 8/Note 7 /FE was built with microG and LineageOS source and is fully functional.
What it is. It's LineageOS with all of Google's closed-source binaries removed and replaced with microG. I.e. no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as the networking location provider instead of Google's NLP. Aurora Store and F-Droid is installed by default and provides an alternative app store. However, with the Aurora Store, you cannot install all Google Play Store apps such as buy apps.
Other information Google Play Store Alternative If you want to have full access to normal Android Play Store apps, After opening Aurora Store, select the appropriate option. usually option number 1 is the most commonly used with this ROM, unless changed by the user. After setup, you will have access to all apps as usual. Some apps require Play Services and cannot be used.
After installation - Open the microG app --> self-check sections should be successful. Location Services - By default, LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses the NominatimGeocoderBackend, and NominatimNlpBackend, which uses Mapquest's Noninatim service, are disabled. Open the microG app --> location modules and enable the modules you want. Then restart the device.
It is strongly recommended not to install NikGapps as this ROM contains a replacement for NikGapps these are microG

this will be done by Ivan_meler (device maintainer) soon.

Other information
All my roms are created with a signed private key.
This ensures that only the rom with the same key can be installed via lineageos updater If the key does not match, the rom will not be downloaded after the check and an error message will appear.
After downloading and tapping install, the device will automatically boot into twrp (if twrp is used) and install the rom automatically restarts by itself.
If you want to use the Lineageos recovery,
However, I don't know how the Lineageos recovery works as I have never used it on my other devices as I only use twrp.
no screenshot ....!!!
i want to try this rom
i will back and tell u my expiance from this rom
have any nikapp or gapps this rom?
so i test it
smart watch is not connet to A13
rom is super fast

This Rom consists purely of MicroG and has no Gapps or nikgapps.
I have here times screenshot from my Samsung S7 these are the same in all lineageos 20.0 MicroG version.
is passed via safetynet fix magisk Modul .
Default apps are these.
Have hidden mine.

thank you for testing.
Sorry for my bad English
Since I don't know English very well I use the translator, unfortunately it doesn't always translate correctly into English.
DeepL Translate: The world's most accurate translator
Translate texts & full document files instantly. Accurate translations for individuals and Teams. Millions translate with DeepL every day.

What about google assistant ?
I don't use google assistant on MicroG if I want to be google free .
Then you might as well stay on the standard lineageos rom and use nikgapps.
Please test it yourself if it works or not.

Thank you great job! Has the bug of the smartwatches that do not connect been fixed?
I can't answer if the bug has been fixed or not
I do not own a Smartwatch.
You have to test yourself whether it works or not .

How to enable voLTE function(or ports application/configs from official ROM) in lineageOS 20.0 in Samsung Galaxy S8+?
Do you have some advice?
Thanks.
