Changelog
Spoiler: 5.1 July 2021 Update
July Security Patch android-11.0.0_r39
Android 12 like switches are added and it look very sleek.
We have also added Android 12 like lockscreen clock by Project 404.
The vertical padding between QS tiles have been decreased to save space.
Adaptive playback support is added which allows to pause media if the audio is muted and resume after sometime if you increase the audio.
Smartcharging and smartcutoff is now hidden by default and developers can enable it by adding Setting overlays in their device trees.
Rotations with picture in picture mode will be more seamless.
You will now be able to rank all the sourceforge mirrors and set the fastest mirror in the Updater app.
Dogbin is dead so we have switched to Hastebin for uploading logs when there is a crash in the ROM. You can send us the log URL while reporting issues.
Developers can now invert the IMS slots to show correct dynamic VoLTE and VoWifi icon.
We are now spoofing pixel XL(Marlin) for Google Photos, which means you will get unlimited standard photos storage.
We have reduced the QS header images size by 8% while keeping the same great quality.
We will be shipping all the wallpapers we used so far with the ROM. So, you don't need to ask us for giving wallpaper links xD.
And few more changes that you can know by seeing the sources.
Spoiler: 5.1 June 2021 Update
June Security Patch android-11.0.0_r38
We have dropped our switch based theme implementation in favour of Color Bucket. With this all the theme resetting issues are fully solved.
While moving to color bucket we have also added few more themes like "Dark Aubergine" and "Android 12 Dark Theme".
We have switched back to 3 button navigation as default.
Many users reported to us that they wanted to have the AOSP clear all button instead of OOS styled material clear all. So, we have now added the toggle to switch between them.
Package Installer will now show you the current installed version and new version while APK installation.
Another big change is VolumePanel Plugins from POSP. So now you can switch between many different volume panel styles.
We moved to FontService and added a ton of new fonts including Google Sans. All of the fonts will be applied System Wide and to apps also, if they support it.
We won't be using IEC standards for Network Traffic Indicator.
You can now control the transparency of Power Menu Options.
We have fixed the crashes in About Project Section of Sakura Config.
Throughout the Settings we will be using List Menus instead of drop down menus.
And final is that there are a lot of translation improvements and we would like to thank all the contributors for helping us with translations.

Yes I know - I haven't finished the thread to say this please be patient
Note there is no difference between an official and an unofficial build other than an official build is built using the roms server (in this case built by Sakura) and unofficial built by the user (in this case me)
I presume we are both using the same trees. I just wanted to build it & update it when ever I wanted to with the latest trees

k, thx for explaining.

The unofficial builds will now be built with a choice of either pre-installed Gapps or MicroG.
If you don't want any google apps or the choice of what Gapps package to flash then use the vanilla official builds from @nift4

Updated with July security patch and kernel changes
Note if your device is encrypted backup data first in twrp and read how to update in the instructions!
If your device is not encrypted just flash the latest rom zip
Edit - new build now available which fixed WiFi not working due to kernel changes
17th July build now available

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM always include GApps!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

FM radio
Hello, FM radio don't works in new update..
I've been wanting to jump to Android Pie and have been browsing the different ROMs. One of the big things I'm looking for is the ROM to natively pass SafetyNet (or at least easily with Magisk). Lineage 15.1 I can't get it to pass Safetynet at all unless I use the Safety Patch mod which is less than ideal.
Can anyone confirm this ROM will pass it without having to do any crazy modifications?

I am not aware of any PIE ROM that doesn't pass Safety Net and I have tried most of them, this included.

- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!

Welcome to CesiumOS, Yet another AOSP project. But this is one that will be a very different and exciting project. What differentiates us from the rest, you ask? Well that's why you're here - to find out.
*Note This thread is optimised for both Light and Dark XDA themes. View this thread in a browser to have a magical experience!
CesiumOS is a project that is designed to be exciting. It is something that was born out of a sea of similar-looking AOSP roms. We offer a unique, yet familiar experience for your phone. We cherry-pick features that we think will *actually* be useful in your daily lives, and nothing more. Since this is the beginning of something beautiful and exciting, we will continue to add more features in the future releases. We will strive to keep the ROM bloat-free, yet still have enough features that will keep you satisfied.

FAQs
Do I need to wipe and format my data everytime I need update?
No. You do not need to wipe your data in order to install an update. You can flash the update over your existing data. Kindly follow the Dirty Flashing instructions found in the Install guide section for further guidance.
Can I root my device?
Yes. I suggest rooting your device with the use of Magisk. Follow the instructions provided from the thread in order to successfully root your device.
I've faced an issue while using the ROM, how may I describe the issue in order for you to fix it?
If a bug or an issue is found during the usage of CesiumOS, I suggest that the issue is described in a well and detailed manner, whilst providing a logcat of the occurring issue.
You may obtain the logcat of the issue by following these instructions:
Code:
-Open Settings
-Enter in About Phone
-Find and tap the Build Number for 5 times
-Exit About Phone and enter System
-Toggle the Advanced section by tapping the downwards arrow
-Enter Developer Options
-Scroll down to find Android debugging
-Activate the setting
-Plug your device to your computer via a USB cable
-Download the latest version of platform-tools for your PC
-Extract the folder
-Open cmd or terminal in the platform-tools directory
-Type adb devices in the cmd/terminal
-Allow the device to access your phone via a prompt on your phone
-Type and send adb logcat > nameofissue.txt on your terminal
-Include the text file to your post
Notice: Logcats must be taken only if you are running the ROM as intended. If a custom kernel is installed, kindly note the occurence, or else I will not consider it to be a ROM issue.
What Google Apps do I flash with this ROM?
You can try any Gapps package. I suggest NikGapps
Can I flash a custom kernel with this ROM?
Yes, you may. However I am not responsible for any issues related with the custom kernel.
My device suffers from the BLOD issue. What can I do to flash this ROM?
Do not fret. In the OP post, I have included a TWRP version for 4 core users alongside the BLOD patch by Osmosis in order to boot the ROM using only 4 cores.

the appearance of this rom is incredible it is the best, the project will be official ?
It's a good rom but definitely stay with lineage Os go by lucas000br
Hey, I tried this rom but had to switch back to LineageOS since in this rom there were no virtual buttons (no home button, no back button, for example)
Lost /persist and modem partitions, all builds from GothicIV just rebooted into recovery once loaded. Flashed/restored many times.
Only stock OPS28 was functional anymore.
DotOS, with BiTGApps and Magisk, just worked at first flash.
No issues so far, except SafetyNet fails badly but Google Pay seems to work

Pill navigation is the new standard, and has everything and more
To change go to Settings -> System -> Gestures -> System Navigation.
Loving this rom.
I have davinci and potter, had some difficulty setting up potter with gapps separate (I don't like double browsers and such); will you be releasing on potter with gapps preinstalled?
Thanks @webtablet, just got back to dotOS (i don't like very much the new standard, so I followed your instructions to enable the old 3-button navigation)
P.S.: Anybody knows how to enable the default ability to take screenshots after holding the power button? like on lineageos
Is FM radio working on this ROM, please? I am looking for some A11 ROM for potter with working FM radio. Thanks.
I loooooooooooove this rom
