In search of Galaxy View parts to replacing wire harness assembly for charging - Galaxy View Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm searching for parts to fix my Galaxy View. It needs a charging receiver and wire harness going to the first connection right after the plug-in located on the side. The wire harness needed is not much more than 1/2 inch long. The wires are so small, replacing them any other way than with OEM impossible. Until I get the parts I'm stuck using an G. tab with a 10.4inch screen.
If anyone knows of a website that sells tablet parts. Please post the links or send a message
Thank You

there is a listing for internals only for galaxy view on ebay.
am i allowed to post link ? not sure..

Dopod 838 Pro replacement LCD.

Need help!!!
Smashed my LCD and orded a replacement from HK. The part number they sent me was 60H00037-00M. After installing it, all I get is a white screen. Sent it back and recieved another one with the same number and again the same deal!!!
The part number Im chasing is 60H00056-00m or TX0704APAA1. I think it is a mfg by Hitachi.
I cant find anything with this part number on the net and was wondering if anyone knows if there is an equivalent that could be used insted.
Mal..
Are you sure that your connections are secure and lined up properly? I replaced the screen on my 8525 and the ribbon cable was not connected properly the first go round. It is the one with the tiny screws.

HK refers to Hong Kong you can purchase screens and digitizers that i know of but as far as small inexpinsive electronics i think your sol. just out of curiousity did you manage to blow the speakers or what? i have played some pretty loud music through my hermes using mortplayer and have not managed to blow them yet.
I have 60H00056-00m or TX0704APAA1 LCD.
msn:[email protected]
I am looking for a TX0704APAA1 for my HTC Tytn.
Apparantly this is the Hitachi model other models are also available on ebay (Samsung and Toppoly). As I understand Samsung and Toppoly are not compatible with one another apparently they use different controllers.
As for the Hitachi I have know idea whether it is compatible with Samsung or Toppoly, which is why I am on my quest after the Hitachi...
Anyone know where I can get one?
I think this one might work.

The 60h00032 or 60h00037 did not work on my dopod 838 pro.. I just got a white screen.

Infrared Port Cover

I'm hoping someone can help me out here.. For some reason the infrared port cover on the bottom of my Hermes is missing. It's the black plastic piece thats on the left of the soft-reset button. Anyone happen to know where I can purchase a new one? Dust, etc. gets into it and it may cause problems.
Anyone know where to get one?
a broken 8525 or tytn or any other family member on ebay? This woudl benefit because you have other pieces as spares just incase.
Hey, i would even send you a few dollars for the little black round plug that covers the antenna port on the back of the phone (I'm currently using a black pencil eraser).
you could also buy a replacement OEM case from the company that has been linked on this forum a few times.

HTC Topaz disassembly guide

Hi, is there any chance to get Topaz disassembly guide?
THX
Edit: Dont need it anymore, I have done it, not difficult at all (similar to Nokia phones). HTC made Topaz very easy to disassembly.
I was cleaning part between digitizer and LCD from dust with antistaic brush and compressed air.
There are just 3 connectors to disconnect mainboard (digitizer, phone receiver and LCD), to get to the LCD. No coaxial cables to connect GPS and bluetooth antenna (all just by touch connectors to the black plastic top back part), Chipset is covered by metal plate, cant see it.
LCD: S/N: 1EJV093Q000069
P/N: 60H00209-00M S508
Can I request you get some high res photos of the PCB/LCD and/or record the ic part numbers while you've got it apart? It would be really useful to know for Linux/Android development.
Can you post what kind of gps chipset is buildin ?
Thanks in advance
Daniel
Thanks for the photos! Would you be able to post a higher res version of the 3rd one or simply scribe what is written on the back of the LCD. I'm hoping the serial number might give an indication of the chipset used in the LCD.
cheers!tsy
So you can sure tell us if the front frame is really metal or plastic ?
Its metal body iside of plastic housing.
Great job !
Thanx
some instructions or tips of how you disassembled it would be nice
i unscrewed my diamond2, and i cannot find a way to disassemble it..
help!
Hi
Nice work and photos.
One problem that has been reported, and I assume it was something you suffered from, is dust entering through the volume rocker and finding it's way onto the LCD display.
This seems rather an oversight by HTC as usually the LCD panel would have some form of seal or bezel (sticky or foam) to stop dust. Does the LCD panel have anything like this at all?
Regards
Phil
i found a htc service manual for diamond 2 that was leaked
not sure if i can post it here..
it explains how to disassemble the device
EDIT: I am so sorry, the leaked document is the user manual, it is incorrectly posted as the service manual in many sites. sorry
post it! what's the worst they can do... tell you to remove it?

Sticky? New Thread? & Help
I think we either need to sticky this, or make a new thread that encompasses all disassembly / dust leak information about the topaz.
I still cannot disassemble my device, i wish someone could help :/
Disassembling the Diamond 2 is really simple.
Remove the 4 T5 screws at the four corner
Remove the small plastic cover below the battery (might be optional)
Pop the main plastic body off the face piece (I use a really small flat screw driver) Starting from the top of the device
Remove the 3 connection then pop the main board
Remove the 4 hardware buttons then remove the LCD screen
I'll try to take some pictures when the new LCD screen arrives...

Thanks for the steps. I just yesterday disassembled my TD2, but didn't dare remove the connections on the mainboard. The one on top left (see your pic mainboard.jpg) is no issue, but the other ones are tricky...or at least I thought they are. I couldn't figure out how to exactly remove those connectors. Could you maybe give some steps or info on how to remove those connectors? Thanks again for your help.

thanks for the update . ill try and post pictures up when possible.
I am interested in this too, I have dropped mine a couple of times and am looking to replace the housing (although I have already been ripped off once by buying a repaired one on ebay).
So any idea where I can get a legitimate full housing and a guide to moving the guts from one to another?
Cheers,
Found this:

Now I just need to find a genuine and complete housing.
Awesome

Replacement parts for TF101, where to buy?

Sorry for my poor english.
I have to replace back hard cover (and aluminium frame) of my TF101 but I don't know where to buy it, anyone can help me?
h**p://m.zdnet.com/photos/cracking-open-the-asus-eee-pad-transformer-tf101/6272908?seq=12
Thanks in advance
The quality of construction of these parts are very poor (the joint parts break themeselve so easily) so I'm happy if there is other brand (not asus) that produce them
Try here

Thanks,
it's exactly I was looking for... but 50,44 euros for the alluminium frame are a theft!
Most TF's that are unfortunate enough to suffer some kind of trauma ends up with a broken or cracked screen. I'm surprised you can't find a replacement screen anywhere... at all.

Has anyone found a cheaper alternative for the bezel? I figured it would be like 10 bucks when I tore mine off out of frustration over the sticky power button... now the back is falling off lol.
Also want to buy the bezel.
C'mon, china brothers, start to make them! You will have million orders!
on Asusparts.eu with shiping it costs 71 Eur. ... Almost $100 for cheap aluminium frame ... Will their bezel do BJ ?
As of lately, is there anyone who has found a site in the USA which sells the parts? Don't really want to order my part from Sweden... I need a Power/Volume daughter board, its about $89 shipped from sweden... really want it sooner than 5-6 weeks.

Have anyone tried to buy one screen from the seller? Im not found of forking out some bucks and then get so called original parts that are more or less junk.
