It works fine here

Hi there! Just installed as first custom rom (it was stock) but it have been booting for more than 40 minutes.
First Backed up, flashed with TWRP, Wiped up data and applied factory reset. Is there something that could be wrong with my installation?
Hope somebody could help

You need to wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik if it didn't booted you need to format data(It will wipe your data too so take a backup before doing it)

Can anyone please confirm if this ROM has the option to set dual SIM-specific and contact-specific ringtones? TIA.

Does this support encryption? Anybody tested it?

Under test
Potter XT1687 - 2gb ram - single SIM
Full clean install
Really smooth!
The only sensor missing is compass (as far i know that cant be solved?)
Performance is great, batt life looks normal (dont forget all these are old devices, bat life deppends of its lifecycle)
Gonna keep testing it and report.
Love this work! thanks!

Thank you very much leoxsys/PixelExtended.
I clean-installed 20210816 build on my potter(XT1685, retapac),
and couldn't find any problems.
VoLTE(Call/Receive), FM Radio, MOTO Actions works fine,
Music playback with aptX HD codec thru Bluetooth device,
WiFi and GPS signal catching is very smooth,
allover performance is good, and very low Battery drain while phone idle.
Currently my primary phone is Google Pixel 4a (Stock ROM),
Potter is my backup system but can get "Ready to use" condition(almost no excuse) with PixelExtended.

No, It doesn't work in other a11 roms also

I am currently using pixel experience. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-10-0-potter-pixel-experience-aosp.3995717/page-64 But the status of that one has been changed from Stable to Discontinued. https://download.pixelexperience.org/potter Any suggestions which alternative ROM to switch to? I would like to be able to update to Android 12, but I prefer an Android which is like a Google stock version. Is this rom pixel-extended a good alternative? What are the differences? Is it easy to switch? Do I have to change TWRP verson, or can I just boot TWRP and flash this zip?

I have just switched from Pixel Experience to Pixel Extended. For some reason my previous rom does use unlimited mobile data (and this also drains battery). Ofcourse I can turn off mobile data to prevent eating up my mobile data, but I thought lets give this rom a try.
It seems everything is working fine. Lets hope this rom is getting updates regulary, and I hope it goes to Android 12 in the beginning of next year. I will use and test it for a while, and will donate if it works for me. Thanks!
This rom works, but I still have the same problem. As soon as I get outdoors (without wifi connection), some process wants to use up all of my mobile data. When I look in "use of mobile data", there are several apps which use kb's, but one is downloading constantly, this proces is called systemupdates. But when I look for updates manually, my smartphone says, I am using the latest rom. Very strange this also happens with this rom. At this moment I turn off mobile data to prevent out of bundle costs. Anyone else have this problem?

Hello dear, I have that same model with 2GB of RAM. As of today, how is this ROM going or which one do you recommend for this model? Do you do some other extra configuration to improve performance and stability (general config, Developer, Magisk, lposed) Any tips would be appreciated.
PS: for my part I recommend lowering the resolution of the phone, the games are more fluid

I am currently using CrDroid. (Moto G5 Plus model XT-1685.) This ROM doesn't have the battery draining, mobile data eating problem. Not sure if it keeps this way. Last update was December 2022.

A big big thank you, and keep up the good work!! U rock! I will try it out soon. Buying you a beer!
thank you so much @firebird11, what a promised 9.0 rom for our old lady
some initial test :
* camera always start with black screen, after taking photo camera will be normal
* trusted face always FC
* auto brightness working good
* others function not tested
device : d855
gapps : mini
- Privacy guard, trusted face still not working.
- Double tap to sleep works only on status bar or lock screen.
- Cropped screenshots at FHD resolution and DPI lowered to 420.
LS990 running real snappy . I've been unable to get LTE data so far . 3G does work . Our Bluetooth distortion issue is still with us same as with Oreo on Bluetooth calls . I've never experienced a rom so fast as this one . No problem at all flashing and booting and no FC's either . Thanks for bringing us Pie !!
One issue I have noticed is with an unusually dark screen with auto brightness on or off . At 75% brightness it's almost too dark to make out . I have to turn it up to about 92% to equal about 65 % of the brightness on oreo . Right now I just turned auto bright on and it drops it to 83 % but it's darker than I am comfortable with .
Thank for bringing pie to lg g3, but F400 can not boot.
You're doing a great work. Thank you.
F400 ,recovery-3.2.3. with build 20181019. All clean and new install. Stuck in LG logo and restart over and over again.

I also noticed this darkness issue. It seems darker than oreo.
Hi. Thanx for this rom. It is amazing that almost everything is ok at this early stage.
Some people here complain about taking pictures/video. For me camera works fine with cameraMX app. Builtin camera app has some issues but I am not using it.
Small issues that need fix are:
- Bluetooth don't remember connected devices and have to reconnect them as new every time.
- Screen mirror or cast don't work. At connection the phone screen become black and crash disconnect.

Can you distinguish feedback and complaint?
It looks like the issue with dark pictures is related to the camera app itself. I tried a ported Xiaomi A2 camera for snapdragon 801 and works with no issues (except for HDR) and a ported Moto Camera app and all the features are working.
Besides that, everything works excellent. Battery performance is better than oreo. The only Issue so far is reducing the dpi and screen resolution makes screenchots look cropped.
Kudos for you.

Stupid question.
Testing the last build, Rom+gapps pico+magisk 17.2 all seems works well in my D851, this is stunning talking about the overall performance, i mean this is a beta testing so i was not expecting such class of higher performance, beside the know bugs like trusted face, privacy guard are not working, the theme changes from black to clear randomly well this is no a bug is just weird. I love the 27 Mhz step in GPU config. keep the minimum frequency at 300 mhz like lineage do drain the battery really fast, the profiles in color calibration are not working, but i think the Rom can be use as daily driver, in fact excellent performance and battery thanks again @firebird11

ROM 19/10 for LG G3 D855 with that problem. Please see last logcat I published.
Clean install, including internal storage and sd card. Only to be sure that there weren't any leftovers and last twrp from your post, as well Magisk 17.1. GAPS Aroma.
All seems to be working, and very fluid, but without carrier/phone I did not continue testing.
Thank you for your effort to put this rom working.

That means ur device is encrypted
First of all, thanks for bringing up this ROM. It is very fluid, fast and responsive. It has also basic tweaks that I need.
However I have met some issues which forced me to restore my backup:
- I can't play music from my SD card, Phonograph can't see it (even after pointing to right folder and rescan) or can't play it (it displays message or even hangs after some tries),
- alarm only vibrates with no sound (yes, I have set default ringtone in settings),
- sometimes notifications layout is messed up,
- navigation bar turns on after reboot and I need to go to settings and do off/on to hide it,
- finally CPU frequency is always at max; not a bug actually as scheduler is set to 'performance' but I don't know if it is the way to minimize battery drain.
I don't know if it is only me or anyone else has these issues? Anyway if they will be resolved I come back to this ROM.

Ok, great, thanks in advance for help.
So, currently I am on stock rom debloated... Should I flash some other pie rom first to remove the encryption and then flash this rom?
I am using the 2 gb variant of the Moto G5 plus. I don't have the cpu error. Personally, I don't use an sd card, so I won't be having any issues there. I have the nav bar error (comes back after a reboot). The only major issue (I don't really consider the nav bar problem major as its more of an inconvenience for when I boot my phone) is when trying yobwatch YouTube videos on the YouTube app, the video shows the loading circle but never begins playback. It worse when I tried it last night with each video loading almost as fast as I clicked them. I had Extended kernel flashed but thought that would solve my issue. I flashed the latest optimus drunk potter and still experienced the issues. If you could fix YouTube that would be great.

Currently using Pico Gapps. I think it is because I did a semi clean rom, as I wiped my android version but did not wipe my internal storage. I found that its not just this rom but Gzosp and Asop extended. I am going to wipe my phone and reinstall Baikal os. I think I solved it.

Same request.
Otherwise, I got another question,
I tried at least 5 pie rom, and all have a huge battery drain on my phone (all network off and no process, 25% waste on the night). I wiped yesterday and re installed an oreo rom a magically, no battery drain (1 % on a night with all network off) ...
So I don't know if I was very unlucky or if I missed something, but pie is a huge battery drain for me.
Here's my question. With all network off and doing nothing, how much battery your rom will use on a full night?
Thanks

I meant that this ROM is a purchase incentive for the X3 - i.e. PixelExperience is so good that I might buy the X3 if the feedback for this ROM release is good.
So keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to your first users' feedback posts. :good:

Which app is working for FM Radio on this ROM?
So far working good for me!
I haven't done much testing, but the only small bug I noticed is if I'm watching a video on YouTube, press full screen, and then try to rotate the phone to view in landscape fullscreen, it exits fullscreen mode.
Shout out for the good work with this rom!
My experience (no pun intended) so far is surprisingly good. I was expecting at least some bugs that i've always came across with even PE stable builds in my past devices (unreliable proximity sensor during phone calls and BT pairing with iDrive 6 with the MiA1, RN5, MiA2 and RN7), but no. Everything seems to work just fine for my surprise. Thanks a lot!

Hello, actually on latest miui rom, followed the steps as told on the given link, on first post, but it's buggy as hell on the setup steps at first launch, dunno if it's only me, but here what I did:
- installed latest orange fox recovery (alpha 6)
- booted on it
- flashed latest miui eu through recovery (12.0.3.0.QJGEUXM)
- reboot to recovery again
- flashed pixel experience rom
- factory format (The format data step is not so clear, I tried only the data partition as well, with or without flashing dalvik)
- reboot to system
When I'm at the system step, the "search for updates" usually makes the phone reboot, it's taking a loooooong time to pass this setup steps.
I finally managed to pass the setup steps, but it took me more than a hour to pass this.
I'm pretty sure it's a pebkac, not the rom at fault or else, so if you have any idea on what was my mistake, I'm taking any advice here
PS: Also tried with twrp, tried to flash mieu eu rom from recovery, and from fastboot, etc...
EDIT: Also, thanks for reading my question and for the work here, I love pixel experience rom, would love to have it on this phone

This was when I bought the phone. After I updated to latest (original)
its more fluent so something concerning this function changed in the latest version.
Just saying

Thanks for the reply Already tried too :/
EDIT:
Found out the issue, it seems the eu vendors were the culprit, when I flash the eu vendors it's buggy as hell, with the global ones it's ok :/
Found the solution on nitrogen thread

Normal installation and clean flash
My 10 year old brother is scared for me to update his phone. Is android 11 as snappy as stock android 9? I know that 3gb of ram and Snap. 450 are kind of on the low side spec-wise.
The latest twrp (twrp-3.5.0_9-0-ali.img) did not work for me.
I opted to use the TWRP 64 bit for ALI, which worked fine.
Thanks, OP!!
I may be crazy but I accidently installed over PE10 and it worked like a standard update with no changes to existing apps and settings on first boot. However when I rebooted the phone it lost all the non gapps apps but kept all my settings. I can't recommend it but it was faster than a clean install.
Thank you very much, the ROM is super fluid at the moment the only bug I found was that when opening the play store it closes within seconds, sorry for my English I use the Google translator

English was perfect.
I had no problem with Play Store.
Looks pretty good ! Will try it soon. Need to do backups first etc
Been a while since I've used a Pixel rom.
Are there ota updates ?
Do you flash magisk before the first reboot or after ?
What pixel device does this make the G6 look like? Pixel 4? More specifically what does it identify as to the carrier (my carrier, Republic Wireless, only supports certain ones)?

Rom looks great but I'm not sure is it just me but i cant install maps facebook yahoo mail and few other apps because the play store crashes also google drive installs but then crashes on start and this is on a fresh install of the rom.
Keen to test drive this ROM. Can somebody please confirm if NFC and fast charging is working?
Cheers.

It's a tiny bit choppy as of right now, but everything works great as far as I can tell. I believe it would be a good upgrade, as long as you remember to use twrp 64 bit.
I'm using lawnchair and these small tweaks. You may need to manually grant them root access in magisk.
Performance Tweaks:
I would recommend getting the Free Swapper app from google play and setting it to 1800 or more Megabytes with a swappiness of 30 for better multitasking. (I did 4400, but that's overkill.) This will take internal storage space, but will greatly help the fluidity. You can make it even better in HEBF Optimizer.
Be sure to choose Advanced when you open it the first time. You also don't need a busybox.
In Battery I enabled Improve Battery and Low RAM
In Performance I enabled both UI tweaks (I'm using gesture navigation btw)
In Internet Tweaks I did TCP Tweaks and everything under expiremental
I'm currently experimenting with Gcam settings on MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV0f.apk
Since we really need a better camera app as of right now.
The only potentially bad thing is that you can't pass SafetyNet since the January update to ctsProfile. As long as you're not trying to use Netflix or certain banking apps, you don't need this anyways.
If anyone finds a workaround for SafetyNet's ctsProfile, please reply with details on how you did it!
Thanks for this rom! Almost everything seems to work perfectly. The only problems I've noticed is that the LED doesn't come on for notifications or charging, and there seems to be no way to enable NFC (unless I missed it?)
I just discovered that the instagram camera doesn't work at all, and video doesn't work in Gcam.
New Updated - 08/02
Changelog:
* Automatic brightness operation improved
* Vibration improvements
* Disabled L1 (Temp)
* Moved Wi-fi Overlay to vendor
* Fixed Fluence Speaker
* Fixed NFC
* Fixed VoLTE
* Fixed LED
Well I took the plunge and installed PixelExperience 11. Running pretty well at this stage, but don't seem to have NFC. But I can probably learn to live without that. This is the first custom ROM I've used where Disney Plus actually works on my phone and doesn't cause the phone to reboot.
Also didn't have to do anything in order to pass SafetyNet. I've been able to install all my banking apps and netflix. Very impressed.

This is great! I will try it in the following days!
Hey, i have it flashed and it works fine so far. Only problem i have is the proximity sensor acting up.
With sensor test app it works but if i do call or listen to voice message in messenger apps it doesn't black out screen and doesn't change to earpiece
Edit: oh i just remember that had Xiaomi.eu weekly. Will flash stable og firmware and try again
Edit 2:. Yes that was indeed the problem. Thanks for the rom
New build is up, with buildin anxcamera. Both vanilla and gms build.
Hi! I'm coming from another rom and want to flash this one. I was wondering would I need to go back to miui and then flash or could I just flash it over the one im on now?
It depends on which rom you came from, if it's lineage or PE, then you don't need to go back to emui. In fact, just make sure your fw is V13.0.4.0.SKMCNXM

Hi!
I love the rom configuration options are great and it's generally very smooth, thank you for your work!
But...
I have some problems with the camera - opening the camera app or using the camera in any other apps often causes the whole system to freeze. Sometimes it's just a few seconds delay but sometimes it also needs a reboot to come back to life. Do you have similar behavior? Anything I can do about that?

It's true that anxcamera doesn't open fast, but in my case it doesn't have any bad effects, I have gcam installed at the same time and it's fine, just don't have 108m pixels. As for what you said about the camera causing the system freeze I have not encountered it, can you say what app it is?
For example NextBike app - you have to scan the QR code to rent a bike and it freezes when the camera is loading. Very annoying.
New builds are up:
June security patch
Change Kernel to inkypen's repo, upstreamed to 5.4.197 and latest lahaina CAF tag
Very Nice job but alarm doesn't work when I shut down the phone, sometimes the apn freeze.
Hi there first of all thanks for the rom this is the one I use to use with my other phones so I'm really happy with it.
But I have a problem. Android auto doesnt work and crash at startup when setting up with the car. Here are logs. Hope you can do something.
Thank you!
Here should be a better one. I did the crash twice in this one.
Looks like there is something wrong with permissions
Got it working by flashing non gms rom then basic NikGapps then android auto add on.
Freeze time to time but it works.
Must be something with your gapps integration.
Edit : made a simple kill AA app button on my home screen with tasker when android auto won't load. Maybe some other gapps can fix this tho.
