My Tab S7 is still saying Couldn't create Secure Folder

Did you had tried to use Secure Folders at least once before root? I haven't and this method is not working. Every time I click on 'Secure Folders' I have to log in, and it says "Can't create Secure Folders" right after login, same with this method.

Samsung has announched that the "hubs" are dead. They killed them off due to an agreement with Google. Even if they install, chances are they wont work anymore. That is why they are not included with S5.

Convert from "S Health" to GPX (v1.1 2015.10.16)

Hi!
1) Pull from phone file /opt/usr/apps/com.samsung.shealth/data/.shealth.db
2) Open this file in SQLiteStudio
3) Open editor (Alt+E)
4) Add in editor the following:
Code:
select exerciseId, datetime(substr(startTimeStamp,1,10), 'unixepoch') as startTime from shealth_exercise_history order by startTimeStamp;
Select all (Crtl+A) and execute (F9).
You'll see all your trainings. Remember the value "exerciseId" of the desired training. For example "5".
5) Replace the contents of the editor by doing the following:
Code:
select '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?><gpx xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1" xmlns:gpxx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensions/v3" xmlns:gpxtrkx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackStatsExtension/v1" xmlns:wptx1="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/WaypointExtension/v1" xmlns:gpxtpx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackPointExtension/v1" xmlns:gpxpx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/PowerExtension/v1" creator="Samsung Gear S with Barometer" version="1.1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensions/v3 http://www8.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensionsv3.xsd http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackStatsExtension/v1 http://www8.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackStatsExtension.xsd http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/WaypointExtension/v1 http://www8.garmin.com/xmlschemas/WaypointExtensionv1.xsd http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackPointExtension/v1 http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackPointExtensionv1.xsd http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/PowerExtension/v1 http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/PowerExtensionv1.xsd"><metadata><link href="http://www.index3.ru"><text>iNDEX3</text></link><time>'||strftime('%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ', datetime(substr(gh.startTimeStamp,1,10), 'unixepoch'))||'</time></metadata><trk><name>'||datetime(substr(gh.startTimeStamp,1,10), 'unixepoch')||' Auto</name><extensions><gpxx:TrackExtension><gpxx:DisplayColor>Cyan</gpxx:DisplayColor></gpxx:TrackExtension></extensions><trkseg>' as gps

Dear iNDEX3,
Would you mind explaining what GPX does, what are the benefits in comparing with S Health...etc.

PS: I'm a huge fan of 4pda.ru, although I know just a little Russian (enough to read the captcha when login, lol). I see that you guys have this cool tool called 'RogersTools' - allowing us to backup Gear S, but I don't understand it well (due to my limited understanding of Russian).
Would you guys mind sharing this awesome tools to us here at XDA? :good::good::good:

Yes, it is very easy to use and reliable application. All actions are done in one click.
It pull .shealth.db file from the phone.
Instead, you can use commands SDB (Smart Development Bridge):
Code:
>sdb root on
>sdb pull /opt/usr/apps/com.samsung.shealth/data/.shealth.db

Enabling LWP on Remix OS for PC 32bit/64bit

I had recently using this OS for a month and i have discovered many things...
I have done these steps from this link, disabling box mode and wallpaper lock using ALT+F1/F7 from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/remixos-overlay-apps-faq-tips-hints-t3332275
OS im using is RemixOS 32bit version 2.0.201 March 15 2016. from this OP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/remix-os-pc-hacked-edition-ota-v2-0-201-t3345968
Live Wallpaper im using is Amazing GIF Art Pro with SaitamaOk.gif as a background
This method requires root and an edited init.rd (the hard way) or if you dont want to root it or editing the init.rd just edit just simple two lines from the build.prop with RMXTools.exe from windows, (the easiest windows way with unrooted RemixOS). Unpack system.img edit it with a notepad at windows and search for folders system__/system/build.prop
ro.remixos.box=false
ro.no_wallpaper=false
If appears at true change it at false.
Repack system.img and place it on where you installed RemixOS (On pendrives i had to use Ubuntu Live CD to move it into the 2nd partition)
Any third party launcher will enable livewallpaper, but requires those two lines at false parameters
But with default launcher I have downloaded this app from playstore.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BenPaul.LiveWallShortcut&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dlive+wallpaper+shortcut+apk+play+store&pcampaignid=APPU_1_pa76VuPIOcjNesf_v9gK
It takes you this menu, hope it helps!
Update: The latest RemixOS update March 31, 2016. RemixOS Version 2.0.202 it comes without ro.no_wallpaper on its build.prop. In other words there's no need to modify the whole OS if you really want the Live Wallpaper feature from the last link from playstore i ve sent... But if you want another launcher that is not Jide's disable remix box.
Enjoy XDA peeps

Let me edit the OP since this method requires root, and needs editing init.rd to enable mounting the system as rw and its more recommended using ES File Explorer or Root Explorer to edit build.prop
32bit is more recommended. why not 64bit? Cuz has problems with root access <.<
For 64bit its highly recommended using RMXTools.exe from windows if you want to edit build.prop to edit two lines which its called
ro.remixos.box=false
ro.no_wallpaper=false
if you dont want to use RMXTools on the 64bit version use the Systemless root from the first link i ve redirected.
32bit version is not available yet so i ve used this remixOS 32bit build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/remix-os-pc-hacked-edition-ota-v2-0-201-t3345968/
> ro.no_wallpaper=false at my 32bit remix os wont appear at my build.prop (remixOS 32bit hacked version), you have to add this line to enable live wall paper feature.
>ro.remixos.box will appear as =true, change it to =false, it opens experimental features from past remixOS
Please refer from the first link i ve posted. That guy will help you a lot, but requires massive editing your operative system.
edited init.rd grants the system.img mounts as rw
its CRITICALLY recommended to backup your init.rd to your computer (to avoid kernel panics)
Once you are done editing those two lines, replace it back to your stock kernel.
thanks.
It will appear like this on your stock build.prop
change it as false on both
Update: The newest update from RemixOS version 2.0.202, doesn't need to edit the build.prop anymore. It comes without ro.no_wallpaper. So install that app directly from playstore and you will have live wallpaper shortcut app without modding the whole RemixOS thing.
Thanks Jide for making my life easier.

These modifications use root access privileges to modify the system files, you must use it at your
own risk you are the only responsible.
Requirements:
- Root Access
- Android 10
- Stock Firmware and Kernel
- compilation required 17.0240.2007.27
- a file manager with root access (Root Explorer)
- Terminal Android
Installation process:
- You need to download this file and you need to unzip it
step 1
- you will see the following folders
- inside the folder 01 ViPER4Android System-app another folder comes that you must move to the path /system/app
- the folder must be given permission 0755 and the application permission 0644
step 2
warning: installing these settings permanently disable the DTS equalizer
- inside the folder 02 Mod Audio System Asus There are several files including a custom installer so you can do it quickly, these files should be
moved to the path /data/local/tmp
- now change the permissions of the installer_audio.sh file to 0755
- open your terminal and grant root permissions and type the following command
Code:
sh /data/local/tmp/installer_audio.sh
- just enter to run the script
- select option 1 for installation
- Once the installation is finished, you must close the terminal and turn off and on your device
step 3

-then it asks for root permissions, gives it to accept and automatically the phone reboots
- After the restart open the application again and it is activated now, it only remains to install a module
step 3
- go to magisk manager in settings and select the modules option
- in the folder 03 Module magisk Audio library this is the module oh although they prefer it they can
download it from the repository
- they just need to flash it
- to finish they must give you restart and wait for your device to start
step 4
to enable the equalizer you must activate the master limit and with that it would be activated and enjoy your new audio
system that I made for you.
- in magisk modules it should look like this if you have any problem with the audio just delete the Audio Modification Library file
- and you just have to restart and go

there are a few dozen files that need to be backed up.
it would be easier for everyone if you made the backup option in the installer.
also, it doesn't install. says that files are not found.
this seems like a great mod but i would like to know if this will work on kirisakura kernel , i don't want to revert to stock kernel just to ejoy this mod while losing out better functionality of the kernel than stock.
applets not found and no such file or directory...

This module removes the restriction when selecting folders (Downloads/Android) through the file manager on Android 11 and higher (also available as a Magisk module through Fox Module Manager)
2.0 Update
* Enabled Managed Mode on the DocumentsUI (make sure to apply the module to the Files/Documents app)
* This change allows selecting /data and /obb folders on the Android folder (where as before they were hidden)

Hey, thanks for this, first time poster here, tried installing this on my Xperia xz2c (lineage-19.1-20221111) but couldn't get it to work, folders remain inaccessible when trying to move files... Any way you could share a .zip of this to install via Magisk?

Thanks for getting back to me. Sure thing, here goes:
As you can see, the "data" folder and the "obb" folder are missing. By the way, the first time I tried to move stuff, immediately after installing the app, those folders were actually visible as intended, but once I quit the moving process and tried a second time (and from that moment on) this is what I get

Oh, that's a different restriction (imposed by a different app)
My module is mainly to allow granting access to folders (downloads/Android) where it would normally tell you to create a new folder and not allow you to select that folder
The data/obb folders being hidden is a different thing
You could try this zip, tho it's a bit sloppily made, so i can't guarantee it'll work
