Hey all,
Potentially joining you guys in the OP7TPro section sometime soon
Just wondering if there's any major differences between the Chinese (HD1910) and EU/Global (HD1913) version of 7T Pro? I plan to probably flash LineageOS on it, but just want to know if I should look for a HD1913 specifically.
I assume if I stick with the stock OS, I can just flash the Euro/Open firmware to use Gapps and such? Currently doing my research about the device, so apologies.

I have the 1910, came with oxygen not hydrogen, I flashed global firmware anyway works fine for me I'm on att in the us
Since an unofficial twrp is available now and I've found some new roms, this post is an update
There are plenty of roms if you know what to look for, you just need to look for custom roms for "miatoll" and you'll find a couple of roms.

Join that telegram channel and you'll find all the download links.
Except the freaky os, rest of the rom had pretty smooth ui
While flashing any rom if you get the error: couldn't find or mount "/system_root" or "product"
Ignore it and reboot the system normally, you will get that while flashing pixis os
Statix os is based on android 11 but after flashing it, I wasn't getting any network signal.
USE Pitch black recovery it works just fine
Thank you so much for this thread, you won't believe me, but I did the exact same thing, I flashed the stock rom and locked my bootloader by accident, now I have a 20 day wait period. I'll try these and report for bugs, sot, charge speeds, etc. Hope development picks up pace. Really love the phone.
I am also getting error 7 for flashing any rom.
U can "reboot to recovery" again.
Then flash the ROM.
U won't get Error 7.

we could really use an unified thread like we have one for the t and non t series oneplus devices that is cross device development link.
Reasons? copypasta from the one of the roms link from the op's post.

A:*Redmi Note 9S or Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro (curtana), Redmi Note 9 Pro Global Global (joyuese), Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (excalibur), POCO M2 Pro (gram) are basically the same devices, the only significant difference is the 33W charging support on the gram, joyuese & excalibur with joyuese having NFC as well. So I have decided to do a single, unified build for supporting curtain, Excalibur, gram & joyuese.

I got a waiting period of 168 hours .Simple procedure. Unlocked already.
Reporting back after testing following roms.
Arrow OS - Launcher 3 looks weird it never showed the date and weather widget, search widget looks weird, fast charging not working tried with 33w and 18w, Amazing thing is ANXcam is included in this rom.
Pixel Experience UNOFFICIAL - Never passed the setup screen it always crashes after clicking next on the very first setup step
Pixel Experience OFFICIAL[MIATOLL] - Fast charging does work.
Evolution-X - Works good. fast/turbocharging information showed are wrong. useful customization options. and to be honest a good support community

I got a waiting period of 168 hours its is general process , tomorrow i will unlock bootloader my waiting time will be over today. Such a ****ty process to unlock bootloader its just take couple of minutes in other phones why i can't understand the chinks want to delay unlocking phones. BTW i want to unlock bootloader to install VIPER4ANDROID i just love it using this app since my last three phones not for custom rom....

Official roms are there. Just the thing is that the custom roms for Xiaomi phone having 720g processor are being developed under "miatoll" codename
Its like Mi= Xiaomi
Atoll= 720g processor
PixisOs, pixel extended, Msm extended, Crdroid all are official roms

Try pixel extended , it does support fast charging , good battery life and its smooth just less customizations and you will have to flash anx camera manually.

Probably no one. I'm skeptical about a custom rom for Renoir since his production was stopped and will be launched with another chipset.

Why they stopped production?
Anyways hopes are not all down as you can flash a GSI (generic system image, searchable on google)
And also, galaxy tab original P7500 also have it's production stopped, and now, it gets android 8.0 unofficially
Well i will call it a mi 11 lite lite 5g as it is slightly tuned down.
But from xiaomi's trend most likely it will be called 'mi 11 lite 5G reloaded'

That's unfortunate :/. Maybe it's possible to use GSI ROM for this phone? And if so are there any drawbacks, I heard GSI's are not the most stable

Unofficially to make room for Snapdragon 888 on production lines. Because is used in many phones and is very requested , 780 was used only in Mi 11 lite.
I'm saying that since number of sell Renoir is low, the possibly of a custom developer to have it is low . I hope I'm wrong since i have this phone.

Is there released kernel sources?
If yes then if someone decided hey I want to donate my phone to a dev then we may get custom ROMs. We may also get blind- builded
custom ROMs.
If no sources, we won't get custom ROMs, same as the 20 dollar mediatek cheap phones.
Damnit, I bought this Xiaomi phone in the hope there will be a custom rom. My Redmi 5 got excellent rom support. But reading that sales are low and to make room for other Snapdragon soc's makes me not optimistic.
My Galaxy A50 that I used for 2 years also got no rom support, but that was mainly because the security in Knoxx. I got used to that.
The Lite 11 4G version of this phone have a few custom roms! Why the 5G not?!!
GSI is enough nowadays. I added patch to phh-treble and works good

That's for the 4g version of the phone. It's totally incompatible with the 5g version.

Over a month before you asked this many news sites had posted about the chip shortage, why 780G phones are so rare and why manufacturers like Xiaomi are going to circumvent the problem by switching to 778G.
Xiaomi will release the new Mi 11 Lite NE 5G tomorrow, using the 778G produced by TSMC using N6 unlike the 780G which is produced by Samsung using 5LPE.

Looking to wipe my device and put back to factory from e.foundation. Just too buggy, updates to apps causing no end of issues. Privacy is coming at too great of a cost.

Hello, I recently upgraded from a5 to a52 5g. When I fully set up my a52 5g, I thought to myself "Why not unlock the bootloader and install custom rom and recovery on the a5?". I installed pixel experience on the device and honestly I got hooked. I kinda want to compile twrp and port pixel experience for the a52 5g, but if I'm the only one interested in custom stuff for the A52 5G I don't see much point. Should I port PE and possibly other roms? And compile twrp? I have a SM-A526B/DS

If you already unlocked the BL and tripped it, I would encourage you to do it. There are some that don't know how to make a device tree so the device doesn't get many projects. If you're the first to do it then the custom ROM scene may explode. But the again, up to you
Yeah I just unlocked the BL. I'm working on TWRP right now. I think I might be done in a week. As this is my first time compiling TWRP, I want to do it correctly.

YES PLEASE, I rooted my A526-B without knowing I would never again be able to pair my galaxy watch and this would be a life saver. I'd be down to help with bug testing for the pixel experience port!

Hello, an update on the progress. I'm not able to get TWRP flashed because of vbmeta lock. When I flash blank vbmeta it also doesn't like the blank vbmeta so it refuses to start up. I will focus on trying to bypass it, but the chances are extremely unlikely unfortunately.

More to the tune of using a GSI then changing it to match the quirks of the phone, like the underscreen fingerprint and the multiple cameras.

Natively means it just works, nothing has to be changed to support it. It just works!

I would be happy to just have a stock rom with the "smartview" feature unlocked. And I would be willing to pay for it if not unreasonable.
I recently found out that smartview on this device is software locked out.
When I tried to use it recently on vacation, it would only mirror my phones screen to the tv for a fraction of a second before switching to a generic homescreen image.
after 6-7 hours total in support chat, and 1-2 hours on the phone with high level support, I finally got them to admit that function is locked on the A52 5G ...Dirty.
If I could just have that feature unlocked I would be totally happy.
But would also be cool with trying out any other cool roms you could cook up.
