HD1910 vs HD1913 - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

Hey all,
Potentially joining you guys in the OP7TPro section sometime soon
Just wondering if there's any major differences between the Chinese (HD1910) and EU/Global (HD1913) version of 7T Pro? I plan to probably flash LineageOS on it, but just want to know if I should look for a HD1913 specifically.
I assume if I stick with the stock OS, I can just flash the Euro/Open firmware to use Gapps and such? Currently doing my research about the device, so apologies.
Thanks!

To buy or not to buy? - Questions: RN3pro official MIUI, rooting and custom ROMs

Hi all!
I live in Germany and would like to buy a RN3 pro from Aliexpress. I don't want to stick around with MIUI but would like to try out different CM-based ROMs. The community here seems very alive, but I am confused by certain things. So I hope you can help me :highfive:
1) Some months ago, I followed the news about the Mi4c. People were complaining that Xiaomi won't let them unlock their phones. Are there no such problems with the RN3 pro?
2) Concerning the official firmware: I read that the phones come either with a Chinese or international firmware (or sometimes even bloated by retailers), and each has a hundred of version numbers. Are all versions possible to unlock? Or do I need a particular version to be able to root/unlock bootloader/flash a custom ROM?
3) Are there any differences between the 2/16 gig and the 3/32 gig version of the RN3pro apart from RAM/storage?
4) Is Xposed working fine on CM-based ROMs?
Best regards
1. I spent around a month to get it officially unlocked, till then I unlocked unofficially in few mins. But if you unofficially unlock whenever you flash a rom you must be more conscious and read every step that's given by Developer or else you will end up bricking your device(don't worry there are solutions for very bricking scenario) . So if this is not a concern you can buy
2. Whatever the firmware phone may come with you can flash MIUI global firmware and unlock it from there.
3. Nope not that I know of.
4. Yes it's working.
Welcome to the community.

1)as an unlock reason I pasted some chineese text found in the Internet and after 1 week I got my unlock code. So no problem there
2)Developer rom is recommended for that, but I think that the never versions of stable build also support unlocking. Anyway, it's easy to install developer rom with locked bootloader
3)nope
4)yep

1) If the phone is updated to the latest firmware (7.3.2 at the time of writting) then the bootloader unlocking process time will depend on how long it takes them to approve the permission for you (got my phone on Tuesday and unlocked it today).
2)Yes all are eligible, but you have to be on the latest one. Likely you will get with an outdated Chinese rom and will have to update via MIUI updater (or similar name of the official software). I also suggest looking for the phone from else where, like here in the EU (think ebay.ie had some cheap ones), since i had to pay an extra 50eur for taxes and expenses (am from Lithuania).
3) No idea, likely none. I got the 3gb version because it's more future proof and can upload 2 videos at the same time vie desktop version of facebook. Also the software itself uses about a gig of ram. Plus it's doesn't cost that much more and a gig of ram makes a difference.
4) No idea, wasn't a fan of xpossed before and am not planing to become one.

Eh. It's still in dev.
There are recovery flashable zips [update using updater app] available, if you flash them, you'll loose data.
I didn't updated mine too, I'm still with 6.0.1, it's the stable one for me.
I don't wanna update to Nougat based Miui as I got my device unlocked earlier today, I'll be flashing Custom Roms. Will ditch Miui. :silly:
I suggest you to just stick with 6.0.1 based Miui rom, it's the stable one, as far as I know, Nougat based Miui Roms are in dev, so once you flash em you'll loose data + it'll be difficult to revert to stable versions.
So stick with 6.0.1, otherwise get your phone unlocked, flash custom ROMs.
Or wait for stable Miui [Nougat based] release.

Thanks for your suggestions i will stick on it. I wanted it because on additional setting / Region there is not listed my Country nor United States. I thought update will solves that.

Question Custom Rom For Haydn, when?

Hey guys, do anyone of you got any idea when will we get the first custom rom for our device? It's quite some time and I have seen no news about it. Mi11x/Redmi K40 on the other hand has plenty of good custom roms already. Our twrp is also not a stable one and it makes me worried about the future of our devices.

I hope the same. I bought the K40 Pro because it thought it would be more popular than the K40 without SD888. That was the case with the K20 and K20 pro. But now i haven't seen any custom AOSP roms yet... I tried the Miui EU rom for some time but i really don't like it so i switched back to my old phone. Hope there will be a custom AOSP ROM soon.

I hope so too! Btw what exactly didn't you like on the miui eu rom? Here I was actually thinking about shifting from china rom to latest stable eu rom.
Third party is still possible, it needs a long time to wait, obviously Google takes back the authority in Android 11 ~ Android 12! At present, I still don't use the TWTP tool. I choose the FastBoot card brush to switch to the line brush. It's safe and reliable. The internal test 12.6.16 startup animation of the twrp card brush is very slow, which will seriously damage the internal partition and data!
Miui12.5 is getting worse and worse, and developers and manufacturers are more and more disrespectful to users. I am struggling in this endless advertising
not xiaomi eu, asking about evolution, resurrection remix, pixel experience etc
use unofficial Pixel Experience Plus gsi

I bought K40 Pro rather than K40 for the same reason, but the opposite is true. I really dislike miui because of the ubiquitous ads, the distracting and pointless news, and the music player and video player that can't be uninstalled or even deactivated, which force you to become a paid member with super bad experiences.

Question Where to download the global firmware for Xiaomi ipad 5 pro?

Last summer I bought a tablet from China, but since I am a Russian user, it is not convenient for me to use the tablet because of some parts of the interface in Chinese.
On the official Xiaomi website, I found only the Chinese version, but why would I reinstall what is already on the tablet.
Please help me find the global firmware for the tablet. I will be very grateful to you!
erroneous post
as I understand it, there are no firmware on tablets.
then another question. if I download the global firmware to a regular xiaomi mi pad 5, will it work and how will it affect the tablet?

NO it is not compitabel! You will brick it. If you have unlocked bootloader. And, Magisk root could maybe be required. Then you could take a look around for Treble gsi Roms. I like Crdroid. But best to test with pure aosp made by phh

Listen, what if I install a naked android? The one that came out last?
@skyneli
From reading many posts on XDA forum about Mi Pad Pro including 5G model, there is no Global firmware for the Pro model. Only Chinese firmware available. MIUI that comes with Chinese firmware will have English and Chinese languages only.
But as long as the firmware works well, you can flash GSI ROMs which is pure Android system with customizable features including all the languages.
Or you can wait longer for Custom ROMs that some developers may create for the community. If you are new to this, you can google tutorials of how to flash GSI ROMs on treble support devices.
FYI I bought Mi Pad Pro 5G Chinese model but not arrive yet. I have no done anything about this device yet.

@dnsco For bluetooth keyboard, yes you can still use it with GSI ROM. But magnetic and pencil, I don't think so. Because these 2 probably need system that supports or activates them.
Mine is Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G but don't have any other accessories like keyboard and pencil. So I have not tested them on GSI ROMs. But stay on MIUI original ROMs or custom ROMs that are made for your model is the best choice. I flashed GSI ROM on my device and got sound problems. So I returned to MIUI 13 A11 stable.
The Xiaomi pen doesn't work on any GSI. It's a massive drawback. I don't have the keyboard so I don't know... but my guess is the same pessimism.

How to downgrade OnePlus 7T Pro to the first stock Oxygen OS ?

Hi,
After the first update I received on my OnePlus 7T Pro,
My phone performance became so much bad,
I kept updating my phone to the latest in the hope something would fix it, but it did not.
I'm not looking for any tips, fixes, or optimizations,
I just want my phone as the exact second I opened it,
I want a Full factory reset,
downgrading to the first stock Oxygen OS that came with the phone,
I need the official files and the method.
for the Global Edition
thanks.
