Without knowing what lead to your device to this state, the solution could be inaccurate, but almost of times a factory reset or flashing again the stock ROM could fix the issue.

I guess it's due to games, I did a factory reset and flashing, still the same issue.

so you one day played some games, the phone then sudenly shut down, and is stuck in boot loop?
if that is the case, it is possible that your motherboard is fried.

Hoping that is not a hardware issue, you have to flash again the stock ROM, go to recovery and copy the build number that you'll see in the screen, download it and flash it through Odin.

oh btw how do i back up? do i just use samsung kies and back up everything? omgthank god everything is working now but thank u for ur help and how do i avoid a boot loop?
You got a bootloop becauise you didnt factory reset. To avoid this bootloop, factory reset before flashing the firmware.

s3 Stuck in boot loop

Hi all, hope somebody can help me.... I am currently stuck in a boot loop on my i9300....
How did this happen? well....
I'll start at the beginning... I received an ota update notification for the 4.3 update and without checking the internet to find out how good it was/wasn't, i stupidly downloaded and installed it! as we all now know, its terrible!
So.... in an effort to get out of the nightmare that is 4.3 i downloaded odin on my computer and rooted my phone with cf auto root, i then downloaded I9300OXAEMG4_BTU from sam mobile. I put my phone in download mode, hooked it up to the computer and flashed the said xaemg4 rom via odin. Everything seemed to go well and the phone rebooted.... but now my phone just continually shows the swirling samsung boot screen and never gets past it!
So, what went wrong and how do i sort this mess out?? Should i try to reflash the rom again with odin will i just make things worse?
Just for info, i do not have a custom recovery on my phone, i just used odin to flash.
Please help me out guys. :crying:
Cheers

Stuck on Welcome screen problem

My S3 i9300 is gets stuck on the welcome screen and none of the buttons work. I've tried dozens of official firmwares and the latest i9300XUFME7 test firmware as well to fix the problem but all to no avail. I've tried different recoveries, CWM, Philz and TWRP and I've tried wiping cache, data/factory reset and dalvik cache but still the phone gets stuck on the Welcome screen. What is the problem and more importantly what is the solution? I'm thinking of trying the next flash again with Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time and Re-Partition checked and also to check the Nand Erase All if my phone survives the next flash. Any suggestions?

sounds not good to be honest, did you check:
(1) try a stock rom flash with prior use of mega wipe (deletes anything, only leaves ext. sd card)
(2) read the SDS thread (not sure if your phone might concerned though)
(3) read the occasional freeze thread

Thanx guyz. I've tried both methods but unfortunately the result was the same.
Anyway any further help would be appreciated.
If the rescue firmware didn't help then it's a hardware fault.

After what I told you to do[method which was successful in my case], if you still stuck there, goto recover mode[vol up+home+power] and do factory reset. It should work!

Thanx guyz. But still no joy. Like boomboomer says it must be hardware fault because all my hard buttons work and the phone shows up correctly when connected to my pc but there is no touch response when I get to my Welcome screen on the phone so I'll take it to the Samsung Repair Centre but before I do I want to know is there any repair tar or zip I could try to use?

Well, you may try this. It will do re-partition, format your phone and will make it as if your phone just comes out of FACTORY
Go here and download "I9300XXEMG4_KOR_MULTI_FACTORY", extract and install. Installation guide is found here.
Thereafter, flash your phone again using your country's FW via Odin with PDA option! Hope it works. In my case, it worked like a charm! I re-partitioned my phone three times already while doing experiments! It's ok! It must work!!
I even mixed[JB4.3's Bootlodaer, PDA and Modem + JB 4.1.2's CSC] this way[see attachment]! If you know what you are doing, all goes well!

I have had the phone repaired. The technicians told me that it was a hardware problem. I reckon they charged me too much but hey, at the end of the day I've got my phone, fully working, back again.

[Q] NETWORK PROBLEM galaxy gt-i9506

Hello everyone
These are times I can not make or receive calls or text messages when I try to call there write "not registered on the network."
So I restarted my phone several times, do a restoration of setting, I searched my network manually but to no avail. I know this is not the problem from the SIM because I put it in another phone and I was able to call and receive my messages, so i concluded that it is the phone has a problem.
my phone works well but sometimes I have this weird problem
I hope you can help me I am disappointed, I thank you in advance

A factory reset will bring your phone to the condition it was when you bought it and thus this may fix your connectivity problem (i.e. if the problem is due to software malfunction).
Maybe it's a hardware problem too. The only way to tell is to do a factory reset or install the firmware again.

You can try that too. But I don't see why this will work since your device runs the original firmware.
What's your baseband version?

To make sure that your modem functions correctly. If you flash the modem and you continue to experience the same problem then do a factory reset. If it still doesn't work then re-install the entire firmware.
If after all the above steps it doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue (which you can't fix).

HELP, S6 edge random reboots.

Hey Guys,
So a friend of mine asked me to try and fix his galaxy s6 edge, and the problem is the phone just goes off after 2 minutes of use. Then reboots and actually starts touchwiz. This happens every time, so i first did a factory reset on the phone and then wiped cache partitions. However this did not solve the problem, i then used odin to flash the phone back to stock as well, however the problem is still there. I am terribly confused and need guidance to solve this issue.
Thanks
