Trying to unroot...but won't update.

Hi all, I successfully unrooted using this guide here:http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-hacks/how-to-unroot-your-galaxy-tab-10-1/
But my problem is that his "stock" file that I flashed is an I/O Stock rom, so it won't receive any official updates after the first 11mb update. (won't update to 3.2 Touchwiz)
I would like to give this tablet to a family member and I want them t receive official updates (Like ICS) in the future, so I basically need to get my Tablet back to the point where it can receive official updates.
I did a little more digging trying to find a stock rom and found this rom "hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip(StockROM)", from this link --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089 but it appears to be the same file for I/O as before.
I then found this link here, to a European Stock Touchwiz update rom, "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167250" But I'm afraid since its european, it is still not my original stock rom I had for my Tablet I bought in the USA.
Can anyone help?
i have the same problem... but i'm from Malaysia..
although from one of the guide, it says Asian Stock TW, after odin, my device doesnt seem to be recognised by KIES for any official update... also notice that the build number is different from actual Asian version (compared this with my friend's tab)
btw, from samfirmware, the zip file contain 3 files (data, csc and bootloader)..
i only flash the data and csc(as suggested in the guide)... do i need to flash the bootloader too? could that be the reason why i cant get KIES update?
btw, if your from the US, hav u tried the guide from "filesfordummies"?
i think thats the stock US version of the tab...

[Q] A few noob Rooting/Rom questions

I was browsing the 4.3 OTA beans thread and came up with a few questions. I only want the 4.3 to get my Galaxy Gear working with my GN2. I really have no other desire to flash custom roms and mod my device.
What is the difference between the ODEX and DEODEX? I have no idea what either of these is or mean. I am unsure of which version to flash to my i605 that is currently stock, but will shortly be rooted and ready to flash.
Also, what version of ODIN do i need to use to flash the necessary firmware?
Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.
After doing some research I think I've learned a little about the odex vs. deodex...I'm not into theming so I guess the odex version would be fine for me...
In the system/app directory of your phones root storage there is by default a .odex file that follows each and every built in app. The ROM builder removes the .odex file to make it easier to theme your ROM. If you are simply looking for a stock experience, use the ODEX. As for ODIN, whatever version is latest, or whatever version is linked in the Root Instruction post will work. I have v3.07.
IIRC, Nephilim ROM has Gear support

[Q] Editing Firmware OS

I want to know is there any way to extract the firmware of a feature phone running on propitiatory OS and edit the firmware so that I can change the features of it's apps?
I want to know whether it can be done using a flashing box or can it be done with a box too?

Instal G900T ROM to G900F

Hi, is possible to install official stock ROM for G900T 5.1.1 to my G900F device? Thanks.
I think only G900W8 can install tmo roms
You can install roms made for twrp/cwm recovery but you have to remove modem and bootloader if included. I have og6 rom on my g900f and it works without any problem.
you need to remove some xml files from csc to enable change number for voicemail.
Hi Kris,
Could you please point where I can find OG6's zip version. Please do answer my additional questions, as i m desperate for 5.1.1 rom. Not a fan of AOSP as finger scanner and some samsung apps dont work on AOSP based roms.
1. How do i remove modem and bootloader if its included in the OG6 rom zip.
2. If i dont remove xml files from CSC, can i manually change the voicemail number through phone dialer app ?
If not please point the xmls that are to be removed.
3. Finger scanner and samsung apps are working through OG6 rom on phone(G900F).
Thanks in advance.

can i reflash stock rom after i already flash the wrong one?

i have LG G2, few days ago it has the original stock rom it came with - android 4.4.2
then i downloaded the lolipop stock rom file for this device and flashed it using the lg flash tool 2014.
everything works fine, but its lacks my native language.
i found out i was wrong choosing the right stock file for my device, and now - i found that the right one that support my native language.
can i Re-flash it again? i now running the lolipop version, and i also need to flash again into antoher lolipop version
but with version D80230b instead of D80230d
can i do it without problems using the LG flash tool again?
Thank you
