I recieved my Letv Le Max 2 and like à lot of pepople i have some problems with the fingerprint :/ I have Eui 5.8.015s , i tried to update it to a recent version but it can't find how . I don't have the update App in my phone( i don't know how to call it), so i tried to download the file of a recent version of EUi , rename it "update.zip" ,put him in storage phone and reboot using volume up + power , it doesn't work , no apk found , can someone please help me and take some time to explain me how to do ? Thanks

Did you get yours from Geekbuying? I did and have the same EUi version. If you figure it out, let me know. Just curious, but why do you want to update? Are you having any issues? Mine is running an older firmware, but I'm having no issues so I'm hesitant to upgrade it. I'm getting between 5-6 hours of SOT. Fantastic! I would like the camera improvements of the more recent firmwares, tho.
Hi , i got it on Aliexpress i want to update it just to fix the fingerprint , doesn't work really well :/ i'm also having some network connexions ... I can't find how to do it , it seems like i'm the only one having this problem...

You guys in this thread are having problems updating, because you guys have a vendor ROM on the phone. This is can be a typical occurrence depending on where it was purchased from. I purchased my phone from Geekbuying, and had the same issue. The ROM was missing some of the stock apps, such as the update manager. In order to return to LeEco's Stock roms with updates, you should clean flash their stock images from recovery, which can be found on the official LeEco forum.

There could be a possible solution....
Install TWRP through fastboot (Many simple tutorials are available)... Through TWRP.... Format Data/System/Cache. Thereafter you may install the Official Stock ROM that's from LeEco directly.
This is a very bitter truth I realized recently. MANY Chinese manufacturers allow third-party vendors to sell Smartphones with LOCKED ROMs... There's No Update Option in Settings...... and the Stock Recovery doesn't allow user to update to official ROM as well. In other words... users are indirectly FORCED to stay on the ROM that phone was originally shipped with. The simple reason is to ensure the phone stays functional on the Software side.
It is going to be a very tough ride ahead for LeEco Buyers who end up with such "Vendor ROM" on their devices.
Fortunately... LeEco has allowed for simple OEM Unlocking, Fastboot Access, and even EDL (Emergency Download) Access for Unbricking even Hard Bricked devices.

Hello, i'm new user on this forums. I have very big problem with my device.
I got second model of Redmi 4, first one had malfunction of SIM module (after instaling CM 13), and device wasnt detecting SIM's at all (what more interesting SD cards was detected) on both slots. After service i got brand new Redmi 4, installed CyanogenMod 13 as only properly working OS* and starting to have the same issue.
*So now let me explain why i threat CM 13 as only working OS - it uses battery as it should. On every MIUI (which seems to not be official) including MIUI 9 my battery just drain. For example with 1-2 hours of daily usage on CM my battery can keep 7-14 days, which is perfect resoult, while on MIUI even unused device is keeping max 4 days, and battery usage says Android OS and android (process names) eat 40 % of battery (sometimes up to 56%). I'm installing OS by full wipe, so its not the case of files remaining from older OS.
NOW final question to all specialists here - from where can i get CELAN ANDROID MARSHMALOW or NOUGAT for my model (Redmi 4 prada)? Installation as i understand properly is the same as in case of ROM right (TWRP) or maybe flash?

Hello everyone.
My girlfriend had been having problems with the installation of Whatsapp since a couple days ago. It told her that it needed to be re-installed, and doing so wouldn't help.
After trying with resetting the phone to factory defaults to no avail, I decided trying to install a custom mod for the phone but I couldn't find any reliable one. I tried with one called MoKee with which not even the home key worked and then I looked for a stock version and found an alleged one in a ad-ridden page. It's supposed to be installed using something called SP Flash Tools, which seems to be made by a chinese company or group, but the image wouldn't flash to the phone because it encountered a 'CHIP Error'.
So far, the only image that seems to be working is one that I found in another unreliable web-page. It is a MIUI distribution supposedly made for this phone, but it won't detect the SIM card in any of the two slots the phone has and it seems like it can't even find the IMEI in either of the two chips I suppose it has for handling the SIM cards, because it keeps popping a message that says something along the lines of "Invalid IMEI".
I'm desperate.
Is it possible to install the necessary drivers for the SIM card chipset on the phone, or do you know about some repository where I could find the stock firmware for it?
Right now, I'd just want the phone to be in operable conditions, Whatsapp issues aside.
For reference, the model on the back of the phone just says "iris 870", and this is the name of the MIUI distribution I downloaded: "Miui_8_For_Lava_iris_870_[wwwromclaimscom].zip"
I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

After many tries, i have been able to flash a new rom on my Galaxy J320FN (if uou are interested on the method and toos that i used :
Install Twrp 3.0.2 (the only one i have been able to download using Odin, all the other newer releases seemd good downloaded but in the reboot were replaced by original Samsung recovery).
After the install of Twrp i followed the procedure, cleaning data, cache and flashing Lineage OS214 and in a second moment the Gapps package.
The phone is much more better than with old Android 5.1 originally installed and everything works fine except the Wifi.
I can see all the ssids near to me but when i try to connect i can see that the devices makes many tries (i see Connecting) and after a while writes (Saved).
The tries continue and while the device says Connecting i see a toast message (Password may be incorrect) but the password is good because with the same password i connect with my notebook.
I have googled and i found someone that had my same simptoms after flashing Lineage Os214, in some cases one of them solved with some tips in developer section, in other cases , changing the Country in the advanced section of the wifi Menu, but noone of these solutions worked for me.
Is there someone that can help me to solve the problem ?
Another question, is Lineage Os14 the newer rom for my Galaxy SMJ320FN ?

I am in a similar situation with my OnePlus.
Hello, I've recently installed the H-ROM S20 Port by Astrako.
It was working fine until after a few days I realized that Wi-Fi is not working when my friend tried to give me hotspot (It was the first time I was accessing Wi-Fi on Astrako's masterpiece).
I realized this was a big annoyance so I decide to go back to my J6 stock ROM only to find that SAMSUNG doesn't allow for downloading ROMS (The error while flashing the stock ROM was something like: sw rev. check fail (bootloader) device: 9 binary: 7).
I tried several ways of flashing the stock ROM, even tried flashing single components like CSC, BL, AP alone but it always gave me that error and resulted into a soft brick.
I managed to get around the soft brick by booting into TWRP and flashing H-ROM again. But after this episode, the SIM won't work either in addition to the already broken Wi-Fi.
Searchs around the Internet have suggested that it is the `efs` partition that is broken. All tutorials suggested to restore the efs partition but I did not have a backup so nothing to do. Another solution suggested messing with USSD codes like `*#06#` which always made the Phone app to go unresponsive.
So these are the possible solutions:
- Is there a way to allow downgrading of ROMs so that I flash the stock ROM?
- Someone with a J600G can provide me with their EFS backup
- Somehow fix the Wi-Fi/SIM issues otherwise because these issues are definitely not H-ROM's side effects.
