Question Anyone's Pixel 6 Seafoam not look like Seafoam? - Google Pixel 6

Received P6 yesterday and disappointed to find the Seafoam looks nothing like I expected, The back is slightly off white and no where close to seafoam shown in google advertisements. Thanks

I find it has a slightly different hue in different light. Sometimes the main section on the back looks almost white. Other times it's exactly like the promo material, a soft minty green.

you are holding it wrong
sorry, couldn't resist. but I am happy with mine and sometimes it looks like in the promotional picture

I asked a few people what color they were seeing just to make sure I wasn't color blind. Its definitely white and yellow. Not the Green/Blue that the promotional articles make it look.

I'm not sure where or how people saw the promo material, but on my phone and on my PC it always looked sky blue + light neon green/yellow. To me, my P6 looks exacty like the box it came in, which looks just like what I saw online.

As OP mentioned, Pixel 6 Seafoam back-glass has a tendency to look white, but it very much tends to depend on the color temperature of the lighting. Maybe it's why Google calls it only "Sorta Seafoam"? Under warm lighting mine does match the box & most Google online renderings/photos. Probably won't matter if I put an opaque case on it anyway!

[Q] Are there any downsides of a white phone?

Im buying a L920. I've always been set on the red model, but having watched several video reviews im now in doubt.
- Smudgeprints are extremely noticeable on red
- It has a really big "wow effect", its very noticeable with such a massive, bright red glossy back
- Its not gonna match live tiles if I change the colors
Because of this, im leaning towards White, but I have some questions about it.
- Does it get dirty easier? (ie. dirt gather in scratches)
- I read white phones tend to turn yellow if exposed to certain things such as cigarette smoke. Is this true?
- Is there overall something I should be aware of when getting a white phone?
Thanks in advance.

I had the White for a week then swapped out to a Red one. I didn't notice anything unusual like smudge prints etc, that stood out on the white. But, I'm an office worker so I'm not generally exposed to much dirt or grime.
Of the 2 colors, I'm not sure which I really prefer. The Red stands out, but so does the White. There are certain theme colors that do not go well with either color...so it boils down to your personal preference.
Though liking both the White and Red, I have not regretted switching to the Red

Im gonna be using full body protection on the phone, including on metal+lens on the back from the Martin Fields protector. Im not exposed to dirt either (being home going till march...), but its still something I'd like to know, as I've never had a white phone.
Imo red stands out more than white. White is a fairly common color among phones (one reason I dont prefer the color), however the bright red is not. Im just imagening holding it to my ear and all ppl see is the bright back, heh. White just seems so...smooth, despite being common.
Bump for more interest.
Well I can't say anything about White vs. Red but I had a Cyan for two weeks and then I got RED .... I personally liking RED a lot more.

I would get the Red colour. My mum got a White 920 and I really don't like it. I also seen the Yellow version which I thought I would hate, but it actually looked pretty cool in person.
I have a black one which I would say is the best color to choose, either that or the matte grey model.
Between red and white, go red IMO.
I got the yellow one, and I love it - though most people don't (who cares - I love it).
Before that, I had the white Galaxy S2. Looks pretty fine after about a year of usage, besides the scratches it got from the one and only time I dropped it.
I wouldn't hesitate to go for white in means of dirt stains or so. As long as you're not a smoker it should keep it's color for some time.
I am coming from a white HTC One X and I decided to go with a red 920.
When the Lumia 900 came out, I fell in love with the white one. When the HTC One X came out, to me it was like a slightly more rounded "Android" version of the Lumia so I had to have the white one. I really like the color and the contrast of white and black. The only issue I had with the color I had was due to the invisishield protection I had on it. My jeans would stain the shield blue-ish so the phone was never a true white. I read that a naked One X will do the same thing, but that you can clean it off with alcohol. However, if you have a naked Lumia, I doubt that will happen because of the glossy finish.
The reason why I ended up with a red 920 is not because of that, however. I went to the store to check all the colors out and red really stood out to me more so than the other options.
So if you really like the red, get the red but if you really like the white, get the white. But be aware that invisishield-type protection on that phone might be really noticeable once it gets dirty because of the white. I believe the naked phone will actually look cleaner.
I have a white and a black. White stays white - no smudging. However, I will say that the colored ones have more 'grip' that the black - which is very slick.
To my first test drive with a red one then ended up getting a white one for the wife & I. Just came down to personal preference, the one thing I new was I didn't want another black phone

New Blue coral. Opinions. Like or hate

Hy. Yesturday i went to see live note 7 blue coral. Samsung has choose very interesting combinations of colours that change acording to light and ungles. Blue coral is not the same in reality like in photos and youtube. Many people, specialy man in my country hate it at first view. What you think after seiing live the colors. I like it and i think they are very original and stylish.

Looks like my old S3, so fine by me.
Andre
I was debating between blue or black and at the end black won just because of how crazy is the blue color. I din't have a chance to see a demo unit (available only on SEP16 where I live and I will have the phone on SEP2) but looking Youtube, reviews it look white blue or rich blue depending on the lighting. I like the rich blue but white blue with low light conditions was not for me, the trim also could be sliver or maybe even black with a little bit darker blue phone. So this time i say no to blue coral
It looks really good in real life but I am on doubt if it's not feminine especially with that golden border. If it has silver border I would say it's the best color even that Onyx Black is very sleek and beautiful - just not so special. So I am on doubt what color to choose but definitely not the silver one (I don't like shining silver phones at all)...
I like it but went with black

I found it underwhelming in real life when I played around with a demo unit. It looked far better on film in various Youtube videos.
The biggest reason to get it is because it says "look at my new phone" as there's no other phone (currently) on the market like it. Bit it's kind of like the massive demand for the gold iPhone when it first came out. Everyone wanted the color for the previous reason. Six months from now Blue Corral won't be special anymore and then it'll just be a blueish phone with pinkish trim. I use my phone for business and the only color that doesn't scream "look at me" was black.
Meh. I wasn't impressed. It looked a bit too feminine for my tastes, but if that's your thing then more power to you. I love that the metal rim on the onyx version is actually black now. It makes the phone look sleek and simple. Plus, I also use my phone for business so the black was the best (read: only) option. Not that I'm complaining, it's sexy af in black.
It's Dope ...
Usually have black devices. But got the bronze 10.1 tab on impulse: it still looks good. The iPhones that mimicked it have a pallid 9ct gold effect that doesn't look so good. So I'm going for the blue this time, reckoning that Sammy has got it right this time too. If it's too bright, it can be toned down with a black case, but I suspect the Note 7 will be classy enough to carry the colour...
I had mine outside in the direct sunlight today for the first time (got it last night) and the metal frame looks pink...I knew the blue was feminine-ish, but the pink tint on the frame DEFINITELY tops off the feminine look IMO.
Anyone wanna trade their black one for a blue one? LOL.

I first ordered titinium silver as I've always liked the color since the s7 came out but did not want the s7. My note 2, 3, 4 were all black (note 2 was really dark grey) so for sure I didn't want black. Just so I don't dismiss the blue completely, I still went to a Tmobile store to check out the blue. There was a lot of light in the store and made the blue look baby blue and I did not like it. So I told myself, blue was not for me and left. I went home and watched several more unpacked reviews and the ones showing the blue made the phone look really good depending on the lighting, and wasn't always baby blue. So after several more videos I watched of the blue, I decided to also order it. Figure if I have more time with it I'll have a better non rushed judgement on it.
Once I received both phones, I opened the blue first and fell in love with it right away. The blue inside my office is nice. I like how it switches to different hue's of blue. Now the rose gold trim does put me off a little but in my clear case it doesn't stand out as much. But it's not ugly either, just felt too feminine.
A day later I opened the titanium one. I still like the titanium, BUT compared to the blue, I now found it boring. To be fair, I gave it a few more days and played with both phones but blue being my daily. In most places I go, unless I'm outside, the blue stays pretty dark or at least not baby blue. Unless I'm in direct sunlight. Sometimes it looks bluish dark grey (which I love). I just love the different variation of blue it produces (besides baby blue obviously). The titanium does get slightly darker but it always looked bright silver in most scenarios and does reflect more light. So in the end, chose the blue.
So my thoughts....I think had I not had a chance to play with it for at least a few days in my own environment, I wouldn't have chosen it. If you are considering the blue don't judge it based on pictures, or seeing it for a few minutes, or even what others think of the color. Your best bet if you are undecided is to take it home and try it out for a few days yourself. That goes for any of the colors, not just blue.

Midnight Black or Titanium Grey?

I know it's a personal preference thing but I am upgrading from the S8 and for the life of me I cannot decide on which color to get. I have seen them in person and they both look fantastic but I just cannot make a decision yet.
My S7 Edge and S8 are both Midnight Black so I have been thinking about changing this time and going for Grey but I am really hesitant about it because it seems to be a bit reflective and prone to showing scratches and scuff marks easier - is that true?
I have not been following up on reviews of the S9+ so I am not really aware if either color has any specific problems that owners realized later on?
Please enlighten me and help me choose.
Thank you!
I have the Grey Exynos and Blue Snapdragon in my house. I personally like the blue colour over the grey as it looks more appealing. No scratches or scuffs yet in them(really care for them lol) and both are equally reflective.
@sabertooth Thanks for your reply! Blue is actually the color I was interested in initially but then I realized that it's not sold here unless I buy it from a third party website without warranty, similar to craigslist but locally, and I am not interested in spending that much money on something like that. I think I'll go for Midnight Black again, simply because I am already used to it and reviews say that it has more of a matte finish compared to the S8's glossy one, which would actually be nicer for me. I was quite high when I saw it in the store so I wasn't very detail oriented.
BLACK!

Which color is more popular?

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Clearly White and Just Black for the Pixel 3.
Let me know what you choice is.
Thank!
I went with clearly white and I love the color (that mint power button is awesome), but the case selection has been rough. There are plenty of black and clear options. But no white cases so far... Clear works but I worry about it yellowing and/or getting scratched up over time.

Hey,
I went with Clearly White and man that's an amazing one.
Also, the scratches are not even visible on this color, did not clean my phone once yet.
I was trying to get a review from people about Pixels but then I decided to give mine.
Let's see if Pixel 3 is worth the price.
Let me know !!!

I choose the clearly white pixel 3 and it's amazing... it's my first white phone..all my precedent phone was black.
both looks great, but I guess clearly white is the smart choice if you want the scratches on the back to be almost invisible.
me too with clearly white, not received yet

Huawei P30 Pro Colours

I have been getting asked constantly which colour is the best for the Huawei P30 Pro and P30, So I thought I would start this thread to help everyone and since I have had hands on with all of the colours I can advice everyone accordingly. Here is a link to my video showing them in the flesh https://youtu.be/S5UvQGCE4Bg
But please please do read this post as it should answer any questions you may have. Feel free to ask me anything and to let me know which is your favourite colour.
There are 5 colours available, Pearl White, Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise, Aurora and Black. Note that the Pearl white version is not available in the UK and Only the Sunrise Amber comes with 512gb storage.
Lets start off with the Amber Sunrise, this is my favourite colour personally as it is a different shade I haven’t seen on any other handset, The glass back is a rich Orange colour which reminds me of candy metallic cars you see in the states. The Metal frame is in a very reflective almost orange chrome finish which looks beautiful and something I haven’t seen before personally.
Next we have the Aurora blue, this shade is a gradient finish which starts off with a greenish tint above and then turns to a more darker blue towards the bottom of the phone. It has a almost wave like effect similar to the Aurora lights seen in certain parts of the world. The metal frame is a shiny light blue almost green colour way which suits the back perfectly.
Time for the traditional black which looks like liquid, it almost looks like chrome at certain angles, the finish is extremely glossy and reflective and seems to be pouring off the sides of the P30 Pro. The metal frame is similar to space grey in colour and is finished in matte for anyone who Doesn’t like the reflective look of the other coloured frames. Stunning in my opinion.
The last colour I had a chance to get hands on with is Breathing Crystal. This is again glossy and reflective and the colour gradient shifts from a pearlescent white at the top to a more blueish tinge at the bottom and looks really clean and fresh. The metal frame on this one is a shiny silver colour which is perfected suited to the back. Unfortunately, The Pearl White variant was not available to me when Filming this video but I have been told it is virtually white in colour with pink hues.
So there you have it, the choice is now yours, which colour version do you like the best? Let me know in the comments below
Very good colours on display and better (White) than s10+
I'm getting black... easy to put in a case without thinking twice about going case-less or clear case... I go the Huawei Silicon Case to match....

Three UK tell me the amber sunrise is delayed with no delivery dates... So I can't upgrade to the 512mb until after the Sonos deal is over! Terrible.... The P20Pro free headphone deal was a nightmare last time, and now they **** this one up!

Currys and CPW have also delayed the Amber Sunrise.
My choice was aurora. The greenish frame won me. I really liked the breathing crystal variant but that frame made me fall for the aurora one. I can only expect the amber sunrise to be extremely nice
