General Moto G6 Play Bricked in Fastboot - Moto G Play (2021)

Hello folks. I have a Moto G6 Play that i flashed with custom rom and it is now stuck in fastboot.
Before it got to its current state the IMEI and Baseband both vanished. I was told to flash the modem with the NON-HLOS.bin and did without error or effect. I have attempted to flash XT1922-7 the stock firmware but cannot unlock the oem even with the 20 digit code provided by Motorola. The bootloader tells me to toggle Allow OEM Unlocking on in Developers Options only I cant boot up to access Developers Options. Any ideas guys...please, help a moron.

What does getvar all say? Remove the imei line before posting.
Code:
fastboot getvar all
If it's saying the bootloader is locked, but you didn't lock it.
Most likely the bootloader(or something) got corrupted and you need to flash a blankflash.

T-Mobile 7T Pro 5G McLaren bootloader unlock without SIM unlock/OnePlus unlock token!

Here is a patched MSM download tool for TMobile OP7T Pro 5G McLaren.
It will bypass the need to sim unlock before unlocking the bootloader, and will also bypass the need of an unlock token file from OnePlus (hence skip the wait period of 1 week to get the privilege to unlock). It will NOT sim unlock the phone.
1) Download the patched MSM download tool: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6r6vn...04+patched+for+easy+bootloader+unlock.7z/file
EDIT: 10.0.39 version: http://www.mediafire.com/file/vdphi4ncs9alxv6/hotdogg_13_A.01_200915_patched_10.0.39.7z/file
2) Run the tool, select "other" in "Login type", click Next, connect your phone in EDL mode, ensure the "sha256 check" is NOT checked, select "TMO" in the Target dropdown, click the Start button and wait until it's completed.
3) The phone will show a red warning saying "device is corrupt", just ignore that and wait some time. It will fallback in fastboot because it's not able to boot. Update your fastboot executable, otherwise fastboot might not recognise the following command. Download it here: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip. Now run the following fastboot command, and follow the instructions on the screen of the phone:
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
4) Bootloader is now unlocked.
5) If you want to be able to boot, you'll probably need to flash again the boot.img of the rom. Download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/37rl13s60rsqy5m/boot.img/file
EDIT: 10.0.39 boot.img : http://www.mediafire.com/file/tt6c58u519d8ktc/boot.img_10.0.39.7z/file
And run the command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
6) Run "fastboot reboot".

Could you use this tool to flash mclaren 7t pro Global to tmo version? Even if it means giving up 5g?
So with this you would not need to contact TMobile to permanent unlock and the OEM unlock the phone? And you would also not need to get the unlock code from OnePlus for the bootloader?

It doesn't work like that.
And this thread is not about converting the phone to international.

If you don't know how to install a ROM you should not be using this tool.

you never mention that you have to install a rom I tought I was going to unlock the phone but my os was going to stay ok!
you should post that in the thread because I didnt want to install any third party roms
Ok, I understand what happened.
I talked with the person who proposed to test the tool, @omariscal1019 , and we think you can't boot because you were for example on the rom 10.0.30 but you flashed this MSM which is based on 10.0.36 rom.
You might need to flash back only the boot.img of the 10.0.30 ROM.
I will extract boot and recovery partitions of each rom versions and post them on the first post of this thread.
Now that you are unlocked you only need to run
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" (not exactly sure of the syntax but it's close)
That will flash your boot partition

You say "after trying to unlock bootloader" which suggest the bootloader unlock failed ?
Does the fastboot mode shows unlocked bootloader ? If it's locked, that's normal that the phone is stuck in fastboot.
Have you tried to flash the original T-Mobile 10.0.36 MSM, then the patched 10.0.36 MSM?

No, those drivers would help if there would be a fastboot mode.
But it just isn't available. It just boots to normal mode what ever you try, eh?
That is normal for most of the LG phones...
I'm looking for days on how to unlock bootloader on this phone, but the big problem is there is NO fastboot mode installed.
Is there anyway to workaround to unlock or to enable fastboot mode?
Is there any hidden method with buttons or something to enable bootloader?
This model chipset is mt6765 and what I have tried is I patched both boot.img from A and B slot and flashes back with Transsion program but aftet first start it triggers dm-verity.
I also tried formated Efuse,LAf_a and Laf_b and VBMeta partitions, flashed two boot.img patched and after that it is again trigger dm-verity,but HOW???
I'm having the same problem, i have an LG K51S, when i run
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
its reboots to the normal state, idk what to do, if you have any information please contact me.
Thanks

Adb reboot fastboot and you'll be in fastbootd which removes oem commands but I've been working with the stylo6 and K51 which I have the ability to unlock the bootloaders and flash magisk patched boot.img successfully to gain root access.

Hi, I have a LG K52 and they have the same chipset as LG K61,
I'm having trouble now trying to root and unlock it, can you please explain how you did ?
The only thing I've been able to so far is to get into fastboot and it's in a very very very dirty way, since adb reboot bootloader won't do the trick I had to type adb sideload radomimage.img to get into recovery menu and finally reach Fastboot, but nothing happens when I try fastboot oem unlock or fastboot flashing unlock or anything else
First the adb command is adb reboot fastboot and you can't unlock the bootloader in fastboot, the tool mtkclient from github will do that, i have a group that I sent you the link to in a message, there are instructions and support in there with now almost 200 members. We are helping unlock nearly every newer LG model and many others.

Moto e7 bootloader & rooting difficulties

Hey everybody I recently bought a Moto e7. Went onto the official Motorola website and apparently you can't get the unlock code for the bootloader
On Google it says I can unlock the bootloader simply by doing "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" but it says
FAILED (remote : unknown command)
Other people are saying you don't need to unlock the bootloader to root using magisk. Tried and it says I need to unlock the bootloader.
So I tried doing "fastboot oem unlock" and several others. It just doesn't work.
Yes OEM unlocking is turned on and usb debugging is on. So can anyone help me?
I dont have experience with this phone or issue, but are other commands working? does ADB recognise the phone and can restart it into the bootloader? I know with my G8 power lite, ADB recognises it but once I go into fastboot it doesn't recognise it. Does fastboot recognise your device?
Please someone help to unlock bootloader Moto E7.
all commands are working except "fastboot oem get_unlock_data"
Did you make sure all the drivers are installed and updated?
Do not forget to have the programs and files necessary for the execution of commands.
try unlocking the bootloader with https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient

Do not try everything. I was an idiot and completely formatted my Moto E7 Power XT2097-6 device. That means I lost my certificate and IMEI number. I have my phone hard brick but I was able to fix it. Now I have a new stock firmware with Lenovo's "Rescue and Smart Assistant" tool and I can't make phone calls or connect to the internet because my certificate and IMEI are deleted! Everyone says that if you root you will lose your guarantee, but no one says that you will not be able to make phone calls or use the internet because the Imei number will be deleted. The exaggerated security of the new hardware in Smartphones was completely new to me because my last smartphone was a Samsung GT-S5360, which could be rooted without any problems. Pls accept the official factory moto stock rom and wait. Do not flash with the smartphone if no solution are available. Now i have a useless phone with a permanetly text print "carrier invalid" as GUI on the left corner.

ok, ok, I'll try to detail how I got it:
I flashed the device stock ROM (using SP Flash Tool)
After flashing the stock ROM successfully, I used mtkclient to unlock the bootloader.

Bootloader can only be unlocked by applying to the manufacturer - Xiaomi using its unlocking application. After registering with the manufacturer and then requesting an unlock, you will have to wait one week and then the unlock will be enabled.

Bootloader locked itself after a small unplug

Hi, so several months ago i installed MIUI 12 weekly to my Xiaomi Mi A3, and now I wanted to upgrade to the stable release. When i was flashing a boot image file, after restart, my twrp dissapear. I tried to flash the rom using Mi Flash on PC, but i touched the cable and the phone disconnected, locking the bootloader in the process. I have no OS, my bootloader is locked. Is my phone truly dead?
I also forgot to uninstall Magisk root from my phone, so it's my full mistake. adb doesn't recognize my phone. I can only turn on the phone, leave it on boot until the battery drains, or the fastboot. Is there any chances that I can save my phone?

I can't. It says i cannot flash while in Lock State. Basically i can't do anything without unlocked bootloader.
well unlock it, you have 2 comands to put.
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
FAILED (remote: Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device) after i used the commands you told me.
What should I do next?
And Mi Unlock tool can't unlock the device, because I need to change some settings in Developer Options, and I have no rom.
did you try switching slots?
fastboot getvar current-slot
Getvar Variable not found
f###,
then only some recovery option with
mi tools.
Download mi a3 platform tool file then download fastboot and fastboot unlock critical file paste these both in platform tool folder then plug device through fastboot to pc then first click on fastboot unlock and then fastboot unlocking critical it will be unlocked then install the rom through mi flash
