$14 Vehicle Fast Charger and $10 Micro USB to USB C Adapter with Lanyard

I purchased this vehicle fast charger for my Note 5 and it works great to fast charge my Note 5. It has a coiled cord, which I really like, and an LED light that helps you to see at night that you are orienting the micro USB plug properly. It is OOS on Verizon:
https://www.verizonwireless.com/acc...er-with-fast-charge-technology-for-micro-usb/
But It looks identical to this one on Amazon that has a 2 year warranty:
https://www.amazon.com/Strong-Chargers-Charger-Dependable-Motorola/dp/B06WP71XSP
I purchased this $10 micro USB to USB C adapter to use with the vehicle fast charger I already have and it works great to fast charge my S8. I like that I can have both a micro USB and USB C charger in one since my bluetooth earpieces are all micro USB. The laynard makes it nice to stay attached to the charger so I don't have to go looking for it.
https://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/verizon-micro-usb-to-usb-type-c-adapter-micrototypec/
Looks like they sell it on Amazon too:
https://www.amazon.com/Verizon-Micro-USB-Type-C-Adapter/dp/B01MU9DF60
It's a bit pricey at $10 but it works to fast charge my S8 so I didn't have to buy a new charger and it also allows me to have 1 charger in my car for all of my devices.
If you have Amazon Prime and get both the vehicle fast charger for $14 and the adapter for $10, it would come to $24, which is not bad for a vehicle fast charger that can charge both micro USB and USB C devices. The coiled cord is really nice IMO and so is the LED light for when you are charging a micro USB device.

keep your U11 charged..

I bought a few items from Amazon for a good price and have had great luck with these products and just wanted to share with everyone.
I went from other HTC devices that utilize qc2.0 and needed to step up my game and this is what I bought to do so.

Be aware of chargers who claims quickcharge 2.0 or 3.0.
Lots of products are crap. Learnt the hard way.
I only buy Quickcharge certified products. As listed here, to be found on their website.
http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/59416ea7d6c4b/quick-charge-device-list.pdf
The One thing can say about the items I listed above is that they do indeed trigger the "rapidly changing" when checked on the lockscreen. Also utilizing the "ampre" app they do indeed have a comparable rate of charge. I haven't done any timed test as compared to the oem charger and cord though.

S8 - cables, charger, glass protector and what not!

Hello All,
I thought I should post all the extra stuff that I had to buy for my S8 here so others can look for it easily. The following items have been tested by me but do not hold me for anything that may or may not work for you.
I bought these screen protectors as I found them to be of good quality, durable and can fit into most S8 cases. I had one on my S8 when I dropped it on concrete! Luckily only the screen protector got shattered and not my new S8. So I ended up buying a few more as they are crystal clear, no issues with touch sensitivity and fit snugly in most cases. The link for tempered screen protector is this
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-...32818410451.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.SfZNbo
I also bought slim cases for s8 and the link to that is https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Msv...32804190382.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.SfZNbo
Cables: the stock cable that came with S8 is only USB 2.0 certified.
I also had to buy usb type c to type c cable which is USB 3.1 Gen 2 certified as I wanted data transfer speeds of 10 Gbps and to use USB Power Delivery charging that is enabled in S8 as sometimes quick charge charger isn't readily available to me. So I purchased this cable which is tested and certified by USB-IF programme. This cable has 60 W charging capability along with 10 Gbps data transfer speeds and supports 4k display mode.
USB type c 3.1 Gen 2 cable link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XDB3...TF8&colid=1HNOKML5JAN5S&coliid=I29D160LWWJZPF
Following this I also had to buy a USB type A to type C USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable for data transfer speeds of 10 Gbps as stock cable took too long to transfer large files from my laptop to phone. This cable is USB-IF certified and again is USB 3.1 Gen 2 with 10 Gbps and 60 Watt of power delivery. This cable is also USB-IF certified.
USB type A to type C 3.1 Gen 2 cable link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07213D...TF8&colid=1HNOKML5JAN5S&coliid=I1F1MQL9SCB29T
finally I had to buy a charger that could support USB Power Delivery as well as Quick Charge charging. So I bought this 48 Watt (USB PD 30 Watt and Quick Charge 18 Watt) charger which can charge my S8 at the same speed as the stock charger. I bought this charger because I think as we move more into the future, the USB Power Delivery will be the main port used (as google is pushing for it) and quick charge will be side.
I use the above charger with samsung fast wireless charger and it fast charges the phone. This is the wireless charger that I use https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BSOPVDM?psc=1&tag=ho01f-21 which isn't the latest and greatest due to its microusb connector limiting the wireless charger to 9 Watt charging capability. I understand that the new samsung wireless charger ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Wi...6756&sr=1-7&keywords=samsung+wireless+charger ) has USB type C socket however samsung charger only outputs 9 Watt max on the new charger so a bit pointless unless you are in for the looks. The point I am making here is that the Tronsmart charger will work with both samsung chargers and others and will provide quickcharge 3.0 capability.
You can buy non-samsung wireless chargers that are capable of charging at 15W for S8 and the Tronsmart charger will work with them as it can pump up to 18 Watt on quickcharge and 30 Watt on USB PD.
Just a note: S8 charges at max of 15 Watts on stock adaptive fast charger, USB PD and Quick Charge 3.0 and I guess Samsung didn't want to repeat Note 7 scenario so they have put this limit on S8 however you can charge other gadgets at a much faster rate especially on USB PD which can support up to 100 Watt of charging.
Hopefully anyone looking for accessories could use this information rather than spending money and time in testing different items as I had to.
Best,
V

Alternative 30W Chargers?

Any recommendations for an alternative 30W wall charger (confirmed working with the Rog Phone 2) that's cheaper than the $50 official charger?
Search this on Amazon. Works great for about $35!
Anker 30W PIQ 3.0 & GaN Tech Power Delivery USB C Charger, PowerPort Atom III Slim Compact Type-C Charger for iPhone 11/11 Pro / 11 Pro Max/XR/XS/Max, Galaxy, Pixel, MacBook and More
Does any USB PD charger work at the full 30W (provided it can give the right juice)
I believe so. how many volts is it charging at to get that 30 watts? 3amps at 10 volts?
I am not sure if my pixelbook charger is charging at the maximum 30 watts

Honestly, I think only the note 10+ 45w charger can support the hypercharge because the 30w charger is 10v 3a at peak. Soooo most chargers with PD 3.0 scales 5v 3a 9v 3a 12 3a 15v 3a 20v 2a. Note 10+ 45w peaks at 10v 4.5a so most likely that's the only charger you can buy as a alternative.

How do I test hypercharging?
Anyone from india tried the 30w charger?
Rog 2 has just been released officially in india as well. Went out of stock in 10minutes.
Can anyone send me a photo of their phone while HyperCharging with the 30W charger? Like the battery icon and the lock screen?
When I plug in with a crappy charger, you just get the usual lightning bolt on the battery icon. If you plug in to a standard fast charger, you get a Lightning Bolt with a "+" above it. And when you charge with a USB PD charger (I'm using an Anker) it has two "+" above it like "++", it doesn't say "HyperCharge" or whatever on lock screen though, unlike OnePlus which says "Warp Charging" on the lock screen
I can't find any other charger that does the 10v 3amp that the asus one does. But I think with my quick charge 4 charger, its charging at 27 watts = 9v 3amps
I don't have a charger that does 10 volts though.

Yes, if you have proprietary 30W ROG charger you will see "Hypercharge" text above fingerprint sensor in lockscreen state and additional thunderbolt sign next to battery icon in status bar... No more "+" or "++".

I think you wont find any 3rd party charger that support asus hypercharge, at least for now... I bought 45w BASEUS charger that support QC 4 and PD 3 but it didnt work... I bought again 2 different C to C cable but still didnt work either.. And i end up buying the 30w ROG charger, and with any C to C cable i got hypercharge working.... Fyi, the phone will only charged at 25watt wheres th 5watt remain will be used to power up attached accessories like aero fan cooler.
How long charging your Baseus ?
Any luck on finding a Hypercharge Charger yet?
Guys for 3 watts, it's totally not worth it. 27 watts is more than enough. The difference would be minimal if not noticeable. Save your money and don't fall for the marketing of "Hypercharge" numbers don't lie.
If you have the Asus 30 Watt charger, great.
If you don't, grab any other charger that can do 27 watts or more if the price is right.
I have ordered the below linked charger and cable from AliExpress, will share the charging results once i receive them...

Question Super fast charging 2.0 on Baseus charger

This is the 100W Baseus deskop charger and I have two issues with it:
1. When two USB C ports are used, the power division is C1=65W and C2=30W. So C1 should still be more than capable enough to handle SFC 2.0 45W charging. But as you can see in the video, SFC 2.0 is not working when two USB C ports are used.
2. When I charge at SFC 2.0 and SFC 1.0 with the same charger, they both cap at 33W. I thought SFC 1.0 is just 25W? When I use the official 25W Samsung SFC 1.0 charger, it just caps off at 24W as expected.
Baseus support sucks big time so I'm having a problem reporting this to them.

Baseus GaN5 Pro 65 watt can charge at 50watt peak.
after 60 percent, watt same as samsung 25 watt charger.
But your measurement is input power to the charger and not output power to the phone. There's a bit of a difference because of power adapter efficiency. I don't know what is the difference between the Gan5 Pro 65W and this 100W adapter really.
BUMP! Anyone please?
This is normal for such a charger. I have a PZOZ version - 65W GaN 2xUSB C + 1xUSB A. SFC 2.0 works only with 1 device plugged in, if you plug another (it might be a 5W one) - this breaks the SFC. I can assume that this is coming from the controller and the device is actually not capable to support such scenario, even though the power is declared as 100W.
Hmmm, that's interesting. I thought the issue was isolated to BaseUS. Their support is really non-existent. They reply but it's like you're talking to a stupid person that does not understand the issue.
Aside from this issue, do you have any other issues when using both ports? As for me, when I charge my phone while my laptop is plugged in, it sometimes drops the wattage on the laptop device to just 19w. If the laptop is plugged in by itself, it goes up to 59w. Not sure what's going on here.
Are there any usb c car chargers that support sfc 2.0?

But I bought the 65W charger and BaseUS said that it can only do PPS 18W.
S23 Ultra requires 10v 4.5 amp to achieve 45 w charging . Charger and Cable both should be capable of 5 amp current capacity and Charger should support PD 3.0 with PPS at 5 amp that is the basic requirement, Cable should have a e-marker chip to identify it as having 5 amp capacity to the charger. usually such cables have 5 amp written on the USB C port and are visibly thicker than the normal 3 amp cables .

Do you have any reference for that 10V 4.5A information? Some say it's 9V 5A but I never saw any official claims from Samsung regarding that too. I have no issues with cables. I'm using 100W BaseUS cables with e-marker chips on them. They don't have the 5A writing on them but they are obviously thicker than the included Samsung cable (which is only for 25W charging). Here are the specs of the 100W BaseUS desktop charger that I have:
As you can see, it does support PD3.0. Although PPS is not written there, it does support it as well as confirmed by BaseUS support and the video that I showed. I don't see 10V anywhere though so I'm not sure how it works with PPS or something. Does PPS adjust the voltage with fine adjustments or something? Also, that doesn't explain the issue I'm having where SFC 2.0 won't work when two USB ports are used. It only works when the phone is charged alone and this defeats the purpose of buying a multi-port charger in the first place.
Go to settings, about phone , and then status information the last entry there is Rated 10 V 4.5 Amp . Yes pps adjusts voltage with fine adjustment of 20mv . It can provide between 3.3 V to 21 V at upto 5 Amp . Your problem seems to be related to the charger itself which is unable to deliver the required power when two usb ports are used . BTW you can use an app called accubattery which should give you the exact charging data for your phone.

It can provide between 3.3 V to 21 V at upto 5 Amp . Your problem seems to be related to the charger itself which is unable to deliver the required power when two usb ports are used . BTW you can use an app called accubattery which should give you the exact charging data for your phone.

Ok, I see that now. Well, @Stenlius replied to this thread and says that this is normal. Any comments on that?
What's more weird though is that when it's charging at sfc 2.0, the cable only shows 33w. When I plug in another device in the charger, it renegotiates to sfc 1.0 but still at 33w!
When I use the official 25w samsung charger with the same cable, it goes down to 24w as expected.
SFC 2.0 - So far I have only seen with the Samsung official chargers. I've spent so much money on Belkin, Baseus, UGreen, Anker accessories and never been able to get peak speeds.

Oh wow, that's good to know. Were you getting around the same wattage as I do at 33W? I still have time to return these and is why I'm asking for help here to verify if I don't have an isolated issue or something.

Never had the tools to measure the wattage output.
I just plug and wait for SFC 2.0 to show up, and if it doesn't - I just get rid of it.
I've tried 120W Xiaomi chargers as well.
Max anything other than samsung genuine chargers can go up to is "Fast Charging" or super charging 1.0.

Well theh that's not the same case as mine. If you read my OP and watched the video, you'll see that I can do sfc 2.0 with this baseus charger but only maxes at 33 watts. I thought you had the same issue as mine.

peak charging only below 20 percent.
after that 3x watt.
after 60 percent 2x watt, same as 25 watt samsung original charger and cable from the box.(3A cable).
basesus gan 2 lite 65 watt and basesus gan 5 pro 65 watt support SFC 2.0.
tested with S23 Ultra.
this image is s23 ultra at 15 percent battery.
charging with samsung original 45 watt charger.

Ok, that makes sense. I'll try charging at 15% and see if it makes it to 48W.
Also, have you tried charging yout s23 ultra with more than one usb port plugged in your charger? That does not work as you see in my video.

No there is none. I posted on reddit before buying this and one guy posted the same issue. Can you test with yours?
