Right ROM for Redmi Note 2 in China with China Telecom (CDMA)

Hello there,
I bought my Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime in China from Xiaomi website, where I am living at the moment, and I flashed the last weekly xiaomi.eu rom (at the moment I am running the 22). Everything works great with a Unicom simcard, but when I put another carrier (China Telecom) which uses CDMA, it doesn't work. The SIM card coverage says "no service".
Being a Chinese phone, I understand it should have all the bands needed. Could it be a ROM problem? Which ROM should I flash?
PS: Is it me or miui.com isn't working at the moment?
Cheers!
the redmi note 2 are not support the cdma band .

How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2

I had posted tutorial on How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2 in miui forum link below
http://en.miui.com/thread-415853-1-1.html
Not a single response?
Tested and working fine people with the GLOBAL ROM version?
Thanks, new Mi user here and I used parts of the tutorial and have working root. I did not flash the root zips proposed, as I do not know them, I flashed SuperSu for root as soon as I had a working TWRP.
My bootloader was already unlocked by reseller and some unofficial global ROM was flashed on it. :crying:
Where did you get the Global ROM from?

Sadly don't have $1000 AUD sitting around spare right now.
I'll take donations though for anyone else with GLOBAL ROM phone wanting to know if it will work...
I am using v20 at the moment and really hoping to get root. It's a better phone with root, but without is really making it hard.

Moved from OnePlus 3 to the Mi Note 2 6GB 128GB.
The method works... Thank you, I downloaded the latest SuperSu to root and that works too...
Flashed a clean ROM from: http://mi-globe.com/index.php/rom-builder/
Flashed Xposed Framework from SolarWarez 64
So now I have everything working... Amazing device, I have LTE in Canada

Non-existing ROM?
Hello guys,
I received my Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Global version from Gearbest, but I gues there's something not right with it. I have MIUI v8.2.9 (I just read news about 8.2 coming for some Xiaomi devices today). I have this system, since I got the phone (more, than a week). It really is global ROM, since I have a lot of languages, it supports B20 4G, however this ROM is soemthing non-existing stuff. It says Android version is 6.0, MIUI is v8.2, that quite not right. Any suggession on what the heck this is, is very much appreciated!
Check out my screenshots!

If you're already on a Global stable ROM (PFAMIXM), you can just put the file in your devices internal storage and update through the system updater.

Not entirely sure if that will be possible with a locked BL.
I'm sure the update for EEA will be out soon.

"This ROM is in beta testing.." and update does not work from Global 10.2.14.0 :/
Got it at gernany yesterday.
Gesendet von meinem MI 9 mit Tapatalk
Some reaction from those who flashed it, would be good Is it works good? What bugs do you have? I'm thinking to try it, but don't know if it worth to move from eu rom
is there a link to a stable version not beta that posted in the first page of this topic?

Question Will the device get any custom roms?

It seems to be hopeless for it's a mediatek device.

It's not really hopeless since kernel source code for chopin was already released in public.
And few devs outside xda have already tested custom roms in our device such as DotOS and Pixel Experience. although it's gsi roms only , not officially maintained.
Android phone have gotten a lot better in recent years -- so do you even need ... enthusiasts would root their phone and flash a custom ROM.
Since we have a Chinese MIUI rom (weekly & stable monthly) I don't care if we will get custom roms or not.
It's really impressive and far better performance than global builds

With Magisk apk.
It's doesn't appear to have that option. Is there a guide I can use?
I downloaded this:
Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro / Note 10 Lite (curtana) India (IN) Fastboot & Recovery ROM | XiaomiROM.com
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro / Note 10 Lite (curtana) India (IN) official ROM, include stable, weekly and beta MIUI firmware which can be updated …
bit.ly
Now it's saying I have a Redmi 10 Lite? LOL what's up with that. Phone's UI is lagging in performance too.

The link you quoted only refers to recovery zips and cannot be used with Miflash.
You have probably used a rom that does not match the model of your phone.
