How to Flash PE/PE+ | HAYDN/IN A11/12
•Be on any version of MIUI except MIUI 13. Any other MIUI versions will work.
•Download ROM and boot.img from the website - https://download.pixelexperience.org/haydn
•Flash the boot.img via fastboot mode. The command is - fastboot flash boot boot.img
•Type fastboot reboot, as soon as you type this press and hold the power and volume up (+) key and release when you see the Mi logo.
•Now, your device will boot in PE recovery.
•Perform a factory reset, then go to advanced and select the reboot to recovery option.
•Now, you need to flash firmware 12.0.5 - https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/haydn/stable/V12.0.5.0.RKKCNXM/ via ADB sideload. To enable ADB sideload use the update via ADB option in PE recovery. Command - adb sideload (filename.zip) NOTE: Keep firmware (12.0.5), ROM in the platform-tools folder- https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
• Also make sure you have ADB drivers- https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...vers-15-seconds-adb-installer-v1-4-3.2588979/ •Now, after successfully flashing firmware, you need to reboot to recovery, from the advanced before as done before.
•Now, after rebooting, enable ADB sideload again and flash the rom with ADB sideload. Command - fastboot flash (filename.zip)
•After flashing is finished use the reboot to system option and enjoy PE/PE+. NOTE: This guide is targeted towards PE, download links for ROM and boot.img are of PE (official). In case you're flashing PE+, kindly use the ROM and boot.img from that. Installation for both is the same. OPTIONAL- How to root PE/PE+ •Download Magisk ZIP and copy in platform-tools folder, enable ADB sideload and flash that Magisk ZIP. Guide By- @hellotherear

Hey Oswald,
Thanks much. I will keep the rules in mind moving forward. I may post 2-3 more from posts, I wonder why they wouldn't be tagged under development? Though I will go through the rules once again!! Cheers <3 Love.

As you see in the linked announcement, only OWN development qualifies for the prefix "Development" (or the development section i older fora).

Affirmative, this is certainly possible with this kind of thread. If you like to change the prefix of this thread from now "General" to "How-to-guide" just go ahead.

Does this rom support OTA?
Also how is the battery life on latest version

Yep it's Official PE so OTA is supported. I find it pretty much mediocre in battery life.

Hi everyone!
I just upgraded from my "old" Poco F2 Pro (K30 Pro) to this Mi 11i (K40 Pro+).
I was reading this thread but, I'm not sure if with the new official build of the Pixel Experience, it still needed to be on MIUI 12. Or can I update to MIUI 13 before unlocking it and then follow the procedure to install the PE?
Ops, my bad! Installing MIUI 13 is required
Thank you very much! Cheers

I installed finally yesterday the stable PE12 with the latest May update
It works smoothly! The only thing that doesn't work, at least for me, is the fingerprint to unlock the device (but it works in other contexts). Is someone else experiencing it? Is it maybe a known bug?
Have a nice day!

Hi all,
I tried to install PE12+ couples of time follow the instructions provided here, and I did not see any error during installation, but the phone fall into fastboot loop after restart. I need to use miflash to re-load the official rom or no other way to recover my phone.
I can see many of you can get this works on your phone, may I know are there particular issue on redmi k40 pro plus (12+256gb) phone? or Some steps are missing in the instructions? Thanks

The following are reasonable formats that are suggested when posting a new ROM. We expect your ROM post to look somewhat professional and easy to understand.
1. Requirements (bootloader version, radio version etc)
2. State that it's from an official manufacturer or source base (stock ROM or AOSP-like source).
3. Thread shows a clear overview of changes made, in a way that users can see what has changed.
4. Explicit installation instructions.
5. ROMs need to identify what kernel they are using. If 100% stock then they must state that.
6. If custom kernel they must provide a link to the kernel on XDA (if available) or a link to the kernel source. This is required by GPL. Stock (untouched) kernels can link to the manufacturers source (if available).
7. At least 2-4 images (screen-shots) 1 of which must be of system/device info. Do not use photo hosts thay deluge users with ads and popups when they select the image. You can either attach the images, or use a hosting service such as photo-bucket for example.
8. Links to downloads. A link to a direct download is preferred. Linking to external websites home pages are not allowed, it must be linked to the Downloads page. Also use of "ad-driven" (adfly for example) or "commercial" sites are mostly not allowed. Registration on some sites "may" be allowed, but is subject to XDA Moderation approval.
9. Credits for sources used. Very important.
10. Keep your "asking for donations to a limit. You already have a "Donate" button.
Simply posting a link to some download site "here it is, download it", is not allowed.

1: the OP contains enough info for the person with at least average intelligence
2: the rom is my daily driver; everybody has different needs thus the "testing" to see whether it fits the aforementioned needs

The Redmi 6a comes with Android 8.1.0 right out of the box. What is the likelihood of it getting an official LineageOS 15.1 build via a GSI without much trouble? In theory, treble should allow this to be relatively straightforward, but I am yet to see much of this since it is such a new concept.

Redmi 6A is not working after flashing TWRP
I've been trying to flash global version rom 10.2.2.0 OCBMIXM of Redmi 6A from TWRP, therefore I tried flashing TWRP 3.2.3 first. After it's done, I booted to TWRP and tried to flash the rom and Magisk app. TWRP asked password for decrypting data but I selected No since there isn't any password. Then the error Unable to mount storage occurred and I could not flash anything. I tried some ways I found and all of them failed to finish with following errors: Factory reset (Unable to mount storage), Repair File System (Unable to repair Data (ERROR:8)), Change File System (Unable to mount storage). Now I'm unable to reboot to system anymore (always boot to TWRP). What should I do now?
Please make purestock pie 9.0 for redmi 6a

Hello

[GSI ROM] Upgrading Mate 10 lite to Android 11 (Guide Basic)

All the credits of this post are for the DarkJoker360, HamiDo, Phhusson, Ponces and all TEAM of community {Mod edit}
BACKUP ALL your data and system files in a MicroSD or external Device
The firts STEP was very IMPORTANT FOR ME. I was trying very things for be able to use Android 11 and all GSI ROMS cause Bootloop logo animation. When I Flashed the FULL OTA with HURUPDATER the problem was solved and the ROM don't stuck in bootlooop.1. Flash full OTA from you STOCK Recovery or using HURUPDATER (in my case the version 8.0.0.333 >>>>> Huawei Mate 10 Lite RNE-L03 RNE-LX3 Rhone-L03 8.0.0.333(C25CUSTC25D1) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0}) It must be EMUI8.0 not nougat
1.1 IF you are going to use HURUPDATER, please use the correct custom recovery (in mate 10 lite, twrp 0.5 works perfect for it)
1.2 RE-Unlock Bootloader (Because after flash OTA, your bootloader be locked)
2.1 With the TWRP 0.5 installed, you must decrypt the phone
- Flash the file Huawei-Decrypt (check attach files in this post)
- Format data from TWRP
- Then, Wipe data and factory reset, and system.
2.2 Search and Download a GSI ROM for A-only devices, in my case i've used it https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...0-devices-emui8.3936745/page-14#post-85690559 (Download the ROM and extract file img.xz into .img in your SD or your internal storage phone). You could search ROM using {Mod edit}
3. Installation (You need to decrypt phone, STEP 2.1)
Using Twrp 0.5 test ( recommended twrp )
- Wipe system data & cache.
- Flash crDroid image (OR the ROM, if you stay try using other ROM maybe could need it. Files for fixes OR flash the AIO-A11-GSIs file, in my case with this ROM, i dont need it by now.).
- Resize system.
- Optional: Flash gapps (be careful, latest nikgapps seem broken) this version works perfectly.
-Optional: Flash magisk (rename apk to zip, and after booting, vis versa to install the apk ) from here or here (don't use another version)

4. At this moment you should be able to Boot the new ROM and ENJOY!

I've moved this thread from the development section to "Guides, News & Discussions" as it doesn't qualify for the first one.
Additionally, I removed the reference to Telegram and the link to androidhost.ru from it. As an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads. These conditions obviously don't apply to your thread or you. Androidhost.ru is not accepted as filehost on XDA and provides a warning by Malwarebytes Browser Guard.

Additionally, I removed the reference to Telegram from it. As an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads. These conditions obviously don't apply to your thread or you. Please refrain from sharing of social media in future. Thanks for your cooperation!

Hey bro i recommend you, install Siberia kernel, and use a updated ROM, DotOs is die, is very pretty but works very bad for us device, please check
https://sourceforge.net/projects/altairfr-huawei/files/ (here are all files for our PRA device, ROMS, patch for fixes, etc. Try use the most recently updated)
I suggest install LeaOs18.1 (Download PRA version, extract IMG, flash it.) and Siberia kernel (Download, extract img, install from bootloader using fastboot). Remeber that the LeaOs 18.1 Requiere use a patch -> 1-Huawei-DataPrep-DeCrypt-A-v1.0-signed.zip (Install it after flash system, and keep in mind that when flashing it, the data files will be erased)
You could follow way similitar to the this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/bah2-guide-install-a11-from-emui-8-fix-audio.4520305/
Is like the us Huawei but dont use BAH2 patches, instead try dont use only DataPrep patch, because the new ROMS include the all patches for our PRA phones. Maybe you don't need install additional patches.

You could flash directly LeaOs over system image, and then use factory reset on TWRP, the apply 1-Huawei-DataPrep-DeCrypt (It is very important, if not could get bootloop). And dont forget install siberia kernel. Greetings !
Hello,
I'm a bit late but I tried to follow this guide with my phone but it did not work. After a few seconds my phone reboots and then it shows a screen saying a critical error occured while booting. Could anyone give me a hint in the right direction?
How to unlock the bootloader?

OK; THAT link is broken !
Thanks for responding.
UNFORTUNATELY your url is corrupted.
I get nothing but 404's.
I WOULD like to see what you're talking about though. Especially if the source is GitHub.
I've been trolling the internet for NON-MALWARE-infected updates to that official app for several days now.
It seems to be a very Popular totem to attach diseases to.

My problem ISN'T with code that's obfuscated; rather, it's that I'm at a remote location, away from real computers. I'm forced to use Android smartphones for the time being. And, with VERY LIMITED EVERYTHING (!), finding a mobile-friendly tool to convert my classes.dex files to*.jar, so the source code can actually get edited and signed.
For this, the best I've been able to find was a recent "APKEDITOR ULTRA" v.2.0.1
I WILL NOT PARSE the patch I tried to replace the stock file with.
I used both the "Disassembler" app and a Java IDE, Seperatly--which clearly doesn't work.

I cannot confirm that the link https://github.com/REAndroid/APKEditor is broken. Just successfully tried the link, also went to releases and was able to download.

Nubia Z50

Hi, I'm looking at replacing my Z17 with the new Z50.
However, I want to be sure I can root and install custom ROMs. The information about those capabilities seem to be quite lacking these days, does anyone have a Z50 and has rooted or installed a custom ROM on it? (even all the current red magic threads seem to have very little information about custom rom installation/development)
The Z17 supported Treble GSI images by preloading with a custom LineageOS image first. Are all newer phones treble GSI enabled, can they just be reflashed with any GSI image or do they still need a TWRP recovery etc?
The safest option would be to go for RM8P, it has more chances to have custom rom. And we know for sure that the bootloader can be unlocked, Z50's might be not

Opps sorry my bad
Never ever gonna happen again i promise 🫡
The phone doesn't seem popular enough to have a custom rom scene, it hasn't even gone for sale globally, so I'd look elsewhere.
Just for everyone's info I bought a Nubia Z50 directly from Aliexpress. Probably the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone available.

How to change the language on ZTE nubia Z50
How to change the language on a ZTE nubia Z50. Step-by-step instructions for adding languages to nubia Z50 from the device settings. Add language
www.devicesfaq.com
At this time the Nubia Z50 doesn't have an international ROM with the ability to choose more than 4 languages during the initial setup. The steps above will tell you how to add the languages manually. I hope Nubia will consider making an international ROM but international demand for the product would need to be higher.
I also bought Nubia Z50, so far so good. Everything is working, it has some minor bugs and lack of languages but perfectly usable for everyday.
Hello guys, I don't have that phone but it caught my interest.
I have found the site where ZTE (nubia parent company) releases it's open source kernels for their phones : https://opensource.ztedevices.com/
The NX711J aka Nubia Z50 is listed on here. So to me it would seem like custom recoveries, roms, and of course unlocking the bootloader should be possible.
