[Q] Can you use the Verizon GS8 on Sprint?

After flashing the Verizon model GS8 with a Sprint GS8 ROM, will it work on the Sprint network?

You can not flash other provider's firmware on the phone. Won't work.
I have the same question. I'm buying a Verzion S8+ in hope to use with Sprint. I heard it's unlocked. On the other hand, Sprint put S8+ Verizon in the list of eligible phones for it's BYOD plan.

Does it mean we can use Verizon rom directly with Sprint? Will it still support Sprint's Wi-Fi calling?

It will work only if you take it into a Sprint store and have them add the IMEI into their database. (It's a pain in the rear, but that's it, speaking from prior experience adding an IMEI to their database)
Just out the box, it will not work.

Question regarding Redmi Note 4X Bands

Hello fellas! I have been doing some research on the Redmi Note 4X and considering buying one. I currently own a Redmi Note 3 Pro and have LTE with MetroPCS. Based on the Taiwan Xiaomi website they have the Black Matte 3/32gb model which includes the Band 4 (the band my RN3 has to use LTE). I have no doubts that this model will indeed be compatible with MetroPCS; however, I am also debating on buying the limited edition blue/turquoise Redmi Note 4X. It is exactly like the Black Matte 3/32gb model except I do not see in the description that it comes with Band 4.
I have provided links and pictures of the two models I am speaking of. Can somebody help me confirm if the blue/turquoise model has band 4 or is that band only available in the Taiwan version of the Redmi Note 4X. Thanks guys. P.s. I have already used WillMyPhoneWork and the results said that the Redmi Note 4X would work (I attached an image)

VoLTE question (more network related)

Does anyone know why Samsung handsets need carrier firmware installed in order for VoLTE to be active, yet other makes do not?
I'm curious about the reasons behind this?
For example the UK network EE which offers 4G calling quotes:
an EE pay monthly plan on one of these phones bought from any retailer including EE (please check when buying a phone from a non-EE retailer whether or not it supports 4G Calling, as we cannot guarantee phones purchased from third parties will support the feature):
◦Apple iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X ◦Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL ◦Sony Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact ◦Huawei P10, P10 lite, P10 Plus ◦HTC U11 ◦Blackberry Priv, Dtek 50, Dtek 60, KEYone ◦Nokia 3, 5, 8 ◦EE Hawk
