Question CaseBorne offering S22 series cases for Honest feedback. - Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus

Hey guys, just wanted to share this thread from over in the Ultra forum. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-cases-to-exchange-your-feedback-ad.4406257/
They are offering cases for feedback. The process is simple and the cases look really good. Hope this helps anyone looking for a good case option.

awesome

I received one for my 22+. Doesn't seem to bad of a case. Feels pretty good in the hand. Seems like it'll protect the phone. I got the aluminum frame one with the clear back. Right now the only thing I can say negatively about it is the cut out for the charging port and speaker at the bottom feel kinda sharp. If they gave it a slight bevel it would feel a little better and wouldn't cut into your finger if you happen to put your finger down there for support while holding the phone. Might break out the dremel with a sanding drum and round it out a tiny bit.

Review for Case-Mate Tough

Had it for a couple of days now figure I'd give my two cents on it.
The case came in standard AT&T boxing nothing special added in. If you have ever used a tough case from Case-Mate don't expect anything new and exciting, which I think is a great thing.
The case is a two piece with the hard black plastic wrapping over the grey silicon which feels good in the hand because of the textured hard plastic cover. The installation is pretty straight forward and a overall very snug fit a bit tougher to put on than other cases. The buttons feel pretty good, the power button is a little bit easier to push because the covering makes it stick out a little more. The volume buttons a little tougher to press, but definitely not a deal breaker by any means, same goes for the camera button as well.
All the speaker holes, and ports are unrestricted and work/sound the same without.
The bulk is there so don't expect a super thin case, but it's not too big either.
Couple of my complaints is that the top and bottom sides of the phone don't the hard plastic doesn't go over, for the most part I wear slacks so pulling my phone in and out of my pocket at work is okay, but jeans or more constricting pants could be annoying because of the top and bottom lips of the case around the screen getting caught up. Also, the edges of the case around the screen also get dust around and under them as well, but that silicon for you. I wouldn't say either is a deal breaker by any means just a little annoyance at times.
The only deal breaker I can really see would be the price, $45 is a bit steep for this type of case in my opinion(Yet I bought it anyway.) , it's quality but would be a bit happier paying $30-$35.
Sorry for the crappy pictures only thing I have is an Atrix to take pictures with.
Good review thanks. I have to say that I hate that case on the Titan. I think I am going to stay naked. The phone is to nice looking and feels good as is.
I like the colour combination from that protector. Thanks for the reviews.

Incipio Duo Pro

This is absolutely the best case for this phone in my opinion if you not clumbsy with your phone... Great look and feel... I have the all black one and just makes the phone that much better if that is even possible

Better is up to the person holding the phone in the case. He posted pictures of the white TPU S-Line case. I can't answer as to whether any others are better. The OP hasn't posted anything on the forums in two weeks, so it might be best to send him a private message and ask how each case fits and feels. However, in his post, he says he thinks the Incipio Dual Pro is the best he's tried, but not everyone likes the same thing. Send him a private message and hopefully it'll pop up in his email and he'll see to come reply.
Incipio Dual Pro
So, I got the case in and here are my thoughts:
Size: It adds a bit of weight and bulk, which makes it heavier than my original Incredible with its case. It won't take much getting used to, though. I'd say it's about 50% heavier with the case. The extra size isn't nearly as noticeable as the weight difference.
Feel: It feels pretty nice. The power button makes it more sensitive than it is without the case, as it's directly on the top middle rather than slightly toward the front, and sometimes you can't feel that you've pressed it. The volume rocker, on the other hand, makes it much easier to determine if you're touching the up or down rocker without looking. When placing your phone on its face on a table, it's slightly raised so you don't have to worry about it scratching your screen if the surface is perfectly flat.
Look: It looks great, but I got the black one, and the rubber part of it is a lint collector. If you have a lot of lint in your pocket, you're definitely going to see a little bit of it on the sides.
Sound: Sound from the speakerphone is great. However, if the phone is laying on its back with the screen up, you can't feel the vibrate. On the face you can feel it decently. I keep the phone in my pocket with the face against my leg, so I can feel it vibrate most of the time.
Durability: The inner part of the case just feels like rubber, and the outer part of it is hard plastic. In my opinion, the inner part could be a little more sturdy, but with the outer part, it works well. The plastic outer back picks up fingerprints quite well, but it wipes away just as easily. I'm not so sure how well it will hold up to scratches. Only time will tell.
Overall, I think this is a pretty good case. The weight difference can be overcome, and with enough vibrate for me to feel it when it's in my pocket, no sound distortion, and pretty solid, I think I can live with it for two years. I give it a 4/5.

I just have to try to live with it.
In addendum to my original observations, I would like to state that the inner part of the case is definitely a dust magnet, but the vibrate has gotten better. I can definitely feel it and hear it better than I could two weeks ago. Maybe it just wasn't settled in yet.
Anyway, definitely a great buy if you don't mind a little lint on your case.

Xperia P - Rock Quicksand case review

I found this review of the Nilkin case for the Xperia P helpful, and wanted to give back by posting a review of my own. Had been pretty keen on the Nilkin case myself, but after reading the reports of the corners cracking, I went looking for another quality option and ended up with a Rock Quicksand. This is a "dark grey" model I bought from Casesss.com.
Note the white specks that appear on the case are bits of dust/fluff that aren't part of the case surface - sorry for overlooking these but they didn't look that visible while taking the pics, and it'd be too much of a pain setting up my tripod and lighting again to redo them nicely with my crappy camera. Also note the pics convey a sort of "white speckliness" overall which is not how it looks in person - IMO, the case looks better than it appears in the pics.
First, the positives:
- The material is really nice. It looks and feels classier than silicone or textured plastic.
- With moist/sweaty hands, the case provides more grip than the smooth metal surfaces of the phone.
- It allows the phone to sit more securely on your lap or a nearby surface (e.g. train/bus seat) with less fear of it sliding off and onto the floor.
- The cutouts are accurate, and there's plenty of clearance left around the headphone jack.
And the cons/caveats:
- With dry fingers, the material is actually less grippy than the phone's smooth metal surfaces.
- Some reviews of Rock Quicksand cases for other phones suggested the material doesn't grip pocket liners - I disagree. It's not a problem with big/loose pockets on cotton pants, but in more constricted front jeans pockets, it will tend to pull out the pocket liner when removing the phone. Still, it's not as bad as silicone in this respect, and doesn't retain nearly as much fluff/dust as silicone.
- The cutout for the transparent bar is much smaller than one on the Nilkin case. This probably increases the case's strength but doesn't look as cool.
- The buttons are a bit harder to press than without the case, but this seems unavoidable - the cutouts appear as non-intrusive as is possible for this style of case.
Overall, I'm very happy with the case for the purpose of providing extra grip in the situations I most need it and providing some protection, without making the phone look ugly. Would be happy to answer any questions in case I missed anything.
I am also using this product. Very good case.

Screenies please?
Following up with something I just observed today: at the bottom right corner, the "sand" material has rubbed off, leaving a shiny surface. I've been using the case for about a month and I'm not sure when this occurred. That corner isn't exposed to repeated friction against anything, so it seems as though a one-off contact with something probably caused it.

I use this case and this appears to be a problem that arises over time. I keep my phone in my pocket and over two months the edges have lost a lot of sand coating. It doesn't affect the usability of the case but can look pretty ugly. I can't take a photo now but will post one soon.
Another notable thing about this case is that if you have a creaky bottom cap from removing the cap too much, this case will hold the cap securely in place and stop the creaking.
EDIT: Here are some photos of the quicksand peeling. The lighting isn't great but you can see it clearly enough.

uhm very bad....did you go tu the beach or something???
I used to use this case and yes, it's beautiful at first but after a long time of using, it become ugly and i must change another one =.=
i wish i can find one of those in Egypt ,
I also got one of this case but mine is purple and the rubber of some place on the casing have lost but between it's a nice case I'm happy with it.
After just over three months use, I can report the "sand" has now rubbed off the rear corner adjacent to the one I pictured on the previous page (that one hasn't gotten any worse since the picture was taken). The three other front corners also show the same sort of wear, but smaller. The edges and larger surfaces show no signs of wear.
In my case, it seems most likely the wear is being caused simply by the phone rubbing against the pocket liner when in my jeans/jacket pocket, so it's not a very durable surface. With just the corners worn, mine still looks classier overall than other cases and I'd just as soon choose it again over the alternatives, but I can't recommend it to those whose phones are treated less softly than mine, as it may end up looking like crap in a short period.
Very usefull case it is..:good: protects the device very well....
I have a quicksand case for my Xperia Sola. I just got it a few months back and so far I'm quite happy with it. The overall build quality seems to be very robust. However on two corners the rubber starts to come off, but that doesn't really bother me as long my phone is save
i haven't use case for a yeah and now my XP look like old phone :cyclops:

TPU Cases?

Anyone find any good tpu cases?
I found a couple on Amazon but most with bad reviews. Most complaints were that the cases do not fit.
I found this one.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I86GGII/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_22zhtb0CC8DKH
It has no reviews yet and I bought it ...I don't have it yet... But let's hope it's good.
I have this one. It fits. It's snug, but it fits. The buttons are pretty hard to press though. It will do until some other options come out I guess!
If I could have any case for this device, I would want a Gumdrop Bounce Skin.
My wife has one for her Ipad air with a glass screen protector and there is nothing like it. Survives drops and a 5 year old, feels great to touch, sticks to your hand so you can use if one handed without a strap, sticks enough to a table or whatever so you can just lean it up against anything (wall, pillow, monitor, shelf, pencil holder, ...) and it stays at the same angle you set it down at, easy.
I just love this thing. If gumdrop doesn't make it, I'm going to have to bribe a silicone guy and get him to copy one for me. I think I could almost duplicate it with RTV silicone rubber if I bought two of them cut them up to fit and then did a two part mold, but it would take a bit of thinking and I don't know how well RTV silicone would last (but it would have the right shore A hardness to feel great and "stick" in all the right ways).
The best thing about the case is that while it grabs lint and stuff like most silicone cases, it does not feel bad and does not inhibit its stickiness. This might not make sense to you if you aren't acutely aware of everything you touch and how it feels (and I wish I didn't), but if you are sensitive to it, this is amazing. Now I haven't covered it in baby powder or anything, but it is amazing not having to worry about tossing it on a pile of laundry or the bed or the carpet and it not getting so covered in tiny dust that you feel like you have to wask it off. Even my otterbox for my GS4 makes me feel like that sometimes, but not my wife's gumdrop bounce, man I'm envious of that skin.
If you want here is the link to it on amz. for the ipad. they even have it in like 7 colors, I just wish they made it for the Note pro.., maybe they will.
http://www.amazon.com/Gumdrop-Cases-Bounce-Skin-BOUNCE-IPAD5-LTBLU-V3/
I got my Poetic Graph Grip yesterday. I'm pretty torn about it. The fit is great, it is much better protection than the Fosmon case linked above that I have, it is comfortable to hold BUT... it is heavy!! It adds a significant amount of weight to an already large tablet. And it also seems to be a bit of a dog fur/dust magnet. Which is a problem in a house with three dogs! So I'm not sure whether I will continue to use it or not.
OK I got the tpu case.... And it's pretty good. The buttons are a little hard to press especially the power button.... Other than that it's not bad.

Spigen Slim Armor

Today I received my Spigen Slim Armor w/Air Cushion Technology. Sorry, I wanted to post a link to the Amazon page so everyone could see what it looks like, but you will all have to Google/Amazon it
First impression is that it fits snug and has great cutouts. There is a full rubber cover and then a hard shell that wraps over the middle portion of the rubber cover. The hard shell is a bit slippery but overall it is a well put together case and leaves more than enough space for a tempered glass screen protector. The only unfortunate thing about this case is that there is a hole where the buttons on the back of the phone are, really wish there was a cover for the buttons as well but I have yet to see such a case, like the Otterbox cases for the LG G2.
Overall it is a good case and worth the price.
I purchased this case a the Verizon store when I got my phone, overal great case offeres good protection while keeping the phones slimness, just an fyi if you order the white one it has like a shimmery look, my wife says It looks like it's for a woman
I have this case too and I like it. FYI the white case is just as shimmery as the OEM white backplate. Hell, Spigen calls it "Shimmery White..." Oh and it's $9.99 right now.

Ohh that one. I actually have that one too...LOL. I couldn't decide so I got both. So now I'm going to have 3 cases and 2 OEM Qi enabled cases....:silly:
I have the charcoal one and love it! Back isn't slick to me...unlike the protection and slimness
I have the Spigen Slim Armor in Metal Slate and I'm extremely happy with it. Low profile, lightweight, and the cutouts are spot on.
I bought the Incipio Dual Pro case at the store when I got my G3, and I consider the Spigen to be much better. While the Dual Pro does seem to protect the phone very well, the ridges along the side are so high and protrude so far onto the face of the phone that it makes it nearly impossible to swipe from the left to access the menu in most apps. Even though I have huge hands, I find it a challenge to hit the upper left part of the screen with my right thumb on the G3, so using the swipe from the left side is essential to me. It's not an issue with the Spigen Slim Armor, as it does not extend far enough onto the face of the phone to get in the way. :good:
Which one of the Spigen's do you like better?
I'm also rocking this case.. overall i'm happy with it. Very slim and fits snuggly.
Only downfalls are the back is a little slick. not a big deal. Theirs not covers over the buttons, on my g2 I had a balistics case that covered the buttons which was nice. The only thing that really bothers me about this case is where the ubs and headphone jacks plug in. the edges on the case are somewhat sharp. I hold my phone in a way that it rests on my pinky finger, and its irritating to say the least. Maybe its just me and my big hands..
Just picked up this case as well as I can't stand the built in screen protector on my Supacase Beetle Unicorn due to the dead spots. So going naked for the screen, but will have this case on it. My wife has one on her g2 and always liked how it felt.

How is the white color holding up. Every white case I have after a few weeks it turns brown or black. I cant stand it.
For the sharp edge on the pinky finger just get some 1000 grit sand paper and take the edge off. Helps a lot.

Mines pulls away too. Thought it just was the way it was due to the screen getting so close to the edge and the case not having much to hold on to.
Great Protection BUT
I purchased the Slim Armor case. Really like the look and the fit (stays in place and doesn't cover the screen). My only issue is the depth of the power and volume keys. With the case, they are recessed almost 1/8th of an inch. This makes it harder to use both.

I purchased the Slim Armor case. Really like the look and the fit (stays in place and doesn't cover the screen). My only issue is the depth of the power and volume keys. With the case, they are recessed almost 1/8th of an inch. This makes it harder to use both.

I disagree about the recessed buttons. I find it makes it very easy to find the buttons and avoid touching the camera lens. Also, I have long skinny fingers and am able to use the device comfortably with one hand. This phone isn't for people with small hands...
