Thanks for this build - I found Arrow to suit my needs well; not a lot of frills - but solid. Now to find the time to flash when phone can be off line for a bit

For what it is worth - this is what I did to get the ROM flashed properly --
I got all the files needed from various Moto G7 Power Telegram groups -- they are probably elsewhere , but the Telegram groups have a great deal of resources and help --
Have ROM zip and Gapps on SD card -
for Gapps -- used NikGapps-omni-arm64-12-20211018-signed.zip
ROM file is Arrow-v12.1-ocean-UNOFFICIAL-2022-0326-VANILLA.zip
TWRP - used
I started being on Arrow 11 ; twrp-installer-3.4.0-1-ocean.zip
with power off ; push power on / volume down - to get bootload -- once there , use volume button to get to Recovery selection - then hit power button
Now in Arrow recovery -- scroll to "Apply update" - chose , from SD card ,
Select and install twrp from SD card -- then go back ; Reboot to recovery
Now in TWRP - go to Wipe and Advanced - choose everything but MicroSD and USB-OTG
then go back - Format data - -type yes
then go back to INSTALL - install the Arrow ROM from zip file on SD card
For me - installed and ended with message "to flash additional zips. please reboot revocery to switch to the updated slot"
Go back and Format data again -- then reboot to recovery
Install gapps -- then Format data again - then reboot
This worked for me - there may be some unnecessary steps - but once I got it loaded I did not go back and try a different sequence

Continuing to use as daily driver - rock solid , have not found any bugs / challenges -- your experince may vary ; the battery life seems similar to stock -- I can easily get two days of use out of it without charging.

wil this also work with twrp 3.5 installer. That is what i have here unles i go back to stock and start fresh which i dont want to do. but want to se android 12 in action.

sorry - not sure what TWRP will work - my notes above is what worked for me -- the recommendatation for that one came from one of the Telegram groups. I use phone as daily driver for work - so a bit reluctant to test and / or mess up a solid set up

New update with April security patch is solid -- i used Nik gapps and did a clean install ; solid ROM with few frills - but ; exactly what I need for daily driver that I depend on for business

i did it the same way with twrp 3.5.10 and it works and was able to install android 12 custom roms as well.

Installed it yesterday, everything ok except for fingerprint that doesn't work for me, when i try to enable it on settings it just crashes the settings app. Tysm 4 the build btw
What i tested on logs:
Started recording, opened settings app, tried to enable fingerprint two times until the app crashes.

Tried to install and followed the instructions given above , but unfortunately when I get to final configuration pages I get continus repetinig mesages such as: "unfortunatly Google Play Movies has stopped" I'll click OK then I'll get another message something like "unfortunately Google Play Movies & TV has stopped" I get this repeatedly every second or two, even if I install without installing the GAPS
I installed the rom with no issues, had to install modem as the signals was playing up.
Issues running bluetooth and wifi together, but not a big deal.
Very good job well done and thank you.

Hello all,
Do the incremental updates need to be installed in order? I think I made the mistake of skipping one and now I'm stuck at the boot animation.

Not really no. It's always recommended to check changelogs to see what exactly has been updated. If it seems like a fairly big one, then a clean install would the go. Trying wiping dalvik and Cache again and see how it goes. Otherwise try to dirty flash the Rom again by wiping system, Dalvik and Cache and see how that goes.

Dirty flash with system/cache/dalvik wipe did the trick. I'll be a little more choosy about the updates I install from here on out. Thanks!

4. Android P gesture navigation missing
5. No digital wellbeing

1. How often do you plan on making new builds?
2. Do you have plans to do an OTA update?
Thank you.
First look (after dirty flash from 8/TugaPower, so take it with a grain of salt):
No crashes so far
Battery consumption seems to be a bit better than 8
Linked unofficial OpenGApps Preview work fine
Camera, BT, WiFi, LTE, GPS and NFC-client tested and working fine
GPS seems to not use the LNA-mod.. Much faster fix in outdoor conditions but having a hard time when indoors
Magisk/Safenet also fine
No update scripts for date (but not claimed either - Telephony.db didn't survive due to schema-changes)
SMS doesn't work -> ROM uses an older messaging app than my previous one. Deleting the database (./data/user_de/0/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db) fixed it
GPay/NFC-HCE didn't work for me (GPay doesn't announce via NFC)
Video playback doen't work in several apps (Fixed as of 20180909). Chromecast works
When I flash Magisk, it doesn't install.
I've tried to flash both 17.1 and 16.
TWRP indicates it is successful, but after booting it isn't installed.
Edit: Actually what I can't do is install the Manager APK. It says there was a problem parsing the package.

Dolby missing?
Hi bro. I just installed this rom. It's really good. But, in youtube videos, I saw that this rom has Dolby pre installed.
But, I don't see it on my phone. I clean flashed the latest build.
Is it removed now? Or am I doing something wrong?
Magisk installation
Hello and kudos for your great job.
It's been a while since I last got involved with android and I find it difficult to get Magisk on this rom. Could you provide an easy way to do it?
I tried patching a boot.img and then installing through fastboot (recoveries just cannot mount the internal storage), but this does not seem to work. It finishes the command without error but there is no root support on boot.
Thanks in advance

dolby seems to have been removed in latest build. I also cannot find it
Dolby didn't work anyway when it was there
Can we expect AOSPA app lock in upcoming builds??
This ROM is lovely, but I have a few issues to report on my Joyeuse device.
1. The latest 04/12 OTA update fails to install/flash with TWRP reporting an error with: "@/cache/recovery/block.map"
2. As of the 03/12 OTA update, Magisk patched boot images don't seem to work and result in never ending boots. Flashing stock boot image in fastboot fixes this issue, but then I have no root.
3. Toggling the SELinux option in the Xiaomi Parts just kicks you back to the main settings page without enabling SELinux enforcing.
4. Not an issue, but the Quick Unlock feature is missing from this ROM. Even though it's small and simple, it's makes a large difference in day-to-day usage and feels strange after coming from other ROMs with this feature included. Would be amazing if this was added in a future update.
Other than the above, this ROM works a treat and runs beautifully. Thanks for your hard work.
Latest 05/12 OTA update also fails to install with the same error in TWRP as above.
Edit: I'll be switching to another ROM for the time being as root/Magisk is essential to me.

I have used arrow in the previous build. Magisk 21 works just fine. Flashed it via PBRP.
I like it because it is updated frequently and is stable.
I'm using gesture navigation.
When the screen rotates, the navigation bar does not move to the bottom of the screen, and some touches may not respond.
In that case, it will be solved if you return after displaying the app history.
on gapps Ver.
If I am using double tap wake up and sleep function even though with my screen pattern lock+ Finger print,It bypasses and automatically opens up .Even after manually clicking on the power button to sleep and wake up again doesn't work. Shortly I mean: Screen lock disappears and directly pops up into the menu.

Use magisk V21.0 .I am using the same to root
Update: after a day use.while using browser.Phone automatically Rebooted itself.Dont know why
1. My advice: Do not use OTA update. Causes a bootloop.
Edit: With OrangeFox Recovery OTA updating works flawlessly. Repatch Magisk afterwards.
2. If Magisk Hide is enabled, there is a signature error (ro.build.type set to "user"). With it disabled my banking app does not work, but signature errors are gone. It would be great if you could fix the signature error, @SonalSingh18
Edit: Came to the workaround by this old thread [CLOSED] [OUTDATED] Magisk and MagiskHide installation and troubleshooting | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)

Just posting here to show appreciation for crDroid which is my rom of choice for many devices I own and to you who ported it to good old cedric.
It passes safetynet by default (without magisk installed, with it one should be able to still pass it by using magisk hide) and while being slower than stock Oreo (on the 2Gb ram version), it is the fastest 9+ rom I've tested.
This is the best ROM i have tested for my old cedric. Really customizable, faster no bugs (cam and GPS) and stable. Tks so much!
arm or arm64?, Also, can I flash nikgapps, or only works with this Gapps?

It is arm64 just like official lineage. You can use the vanilla build and flash your own gapps, but I recommend to just use the gapps build that I provide.

su (press enter and grant root access permission)
settings put global device_provisioned 1 (press enter)
settings put secure user_setup_complete 1 (press enter)
Nippon GSI Updates

ROM is very smooth. Double tap on home screen to lock device is good. FPS info is there but no CPU info.
Can we get Miui dialer, Miui camera & Miui game space?
Face unlock working? Safety net pass? Google photos unlimited backup?

miui dialer and other apps may not work as intended on aosp
Backup in Google photo unlimited original quality isn't working. Maybe not spoofed as pixel xl? Doesn't work on storage saver either. I'm on vanilla version.

Try to update arrow 11 to arrow 13 but get error and somehow `/sdcard `not show my files after that.
After restart, I can see internal memory again
Code:
updater process ended with Error:1
Error install zip file 'path to zip file'
updating partition details...
mount -o bind '/data/media/0' '/sdcard' process ended with signal: 6
... done
mount -o bind '/data/media/0' '/sdcard' process ended with signal: 6
Sha256 is correct. And use twrp to flash that
Update : after update twrp to the last version, flash arrow 13 without error
Update : I am stock in boot logo of arrows (wait for 20 min) (shining arrow) but system not start.
I have asses to recovery, anybody can help?
I don't install any firmware with arrow 13.
VANILLA version.
Update :
Is it possible to it be a firmware problem?
I try to flash old arrow 11, but it is not boot too
Update: problem solved DFE is different for android 13 and I use older version.
It is better if add installation step to the first post
Wipe system, system_ext, cache, dalvik, vendor, data.
Flash rom zip
Mount vendor and flash dfe A13
Boot
Is there any chance for CAF version?
It would be good if in the next update if the smallest screen size could be made smaller, 6x6 grid and February security patch

Newer (post Feb 2023) ArrowOS and P404 uses dynamics partitions/retrofitted. Needs a specialized recovery to flash.
