Question Can't make a call on 3G and LTE - Google Pixel 6

Hi,
Can't make and receive a call while 3G and 4G/LTE set on preferred network type.
If I switch to 2G, no problem.
Tried to change network type in *#*#4636#*#*, but no luck.
Anyone, please help.

I've tested my SIM on another phone and I didn't get any network problem. I guess this is a software or hardware problem

Well a little more information would help you get a better answer.
Are you using the stock rom, custom rom, rooted, kernals, any mods....

I'm using latest March update Android 12.1. Rooted. Installed VoLTE Module via Magisk.
This all had happened after December update. On January 8 I got updated carrier services and SIM tray area got too hot and I had to reboot and eject my my SIM. After that my Pixel 6 couldn't receive and make calls on 4G/3G, only 2G works. Tried many things: reset network settings, reset factory settings, downgrade firmware, install custom rom, nothing helped.
So, that's my weird problem

Borrow a friend's SIM and try it in your unit. If it fails to work the issue is hardware. Otherwise it's likely a conflict between an update and the Magisk module.
I do believe however yours is a hardware issue. I don't know what caused it but the end result is a burned-out modem chip.

I've been using beta Google Carrier Services since I had a network problem.
Didn't solve my problem yet unfortunately.

[Q] "Not Registered On Network"

I've had a search around the forums and haven't found a solution that works for me yet, so I am hoping someone can please help me here.
I keep getting the "not registered on network" error when I attempt to make a call on my SGS3, and can't recieve or make texts etc. Everything else works, I can still browse online etc. It is not a problem with the sim card as I have tried other sim cards in the phone and still have the same problem, and my sim is working fine in an old phone at the moment. I have also factory rest and installed different ROMs and still have the same problems.
The phone is Three (Ireland) branded but rooted and unlocked using the Galaxyunlock app and is now on Meteor (Ireland) network.
Someone suggested that my IMEI number may be blocked, but according to one of those sites that check if it is blocked or not - it isn't, but I don't know how reliable it is?
Anyone have any other ideas?

I think it is the modem. With J4 version modem is DLID, and I also had similiar problem. Cant call or recieve calls, but signal is full and I can browse. I didnt had message Not registered to network.
I flash J5 firmware which cam with J1 modem and dont have these problems. But now problem is that my phone reboots randomly

Hi I have the same problem with my galaxy s3 after the JB update .Can you give me the link for the J5 firmware please....
I'm with 3 Ireland and i used to get this but on ICS.
Basically what you need to do is go into mobile networks and manually search, it might take a while but 3 Irl or just 3 will appear just select that and it should be ok, i was fuming at 3 as i always used to have to do that but it seemed it was only when i was using ICS but when i upgraded to JB the problem stopped, i never use stock ROM either always AOSP.

Have you found any workaround?
I have seen many posts regarding "no signal" issues, but most of them are related to problems with IMEI and serial number, which are not occurring in my phone.

[Q] Network/Data Connection not working with overseas SIM

Hi,
I have this problem occurring which I don't understand how to fix. I'm currently overseas in the Philippines and I'm using a Globe SIM Card though I'm not getting any network connection, my data bars are completely grayed out showing though it's full but it shows no signal type next to it. I know for a fact that my phone is unlocked since I am able to call and text using the SIM I have, but I just can't get any internet connection. I am running Resurrection Remix ICS Final Version (which I believe is: v2.7). I'm running on a Siyah Kernel and my Baseband/Modem is I9100XXKI4. Should I return to stock in order to fix this? Or change my modem/baseband or flash a more updated ROM? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thanks so much! I did a quick google search on the correct APN settings for GLOBE seems some of them were incorrect now it's working good! Do you know which modem/baseband would be best suited for GLOBE or Philippines?

No mobile network but data works

Hi all,
So my friend has a galaxy s 3 and he's not getting service so I said i'll take a look at it.
So i rooted it and changed roms and stuff and I put my sim in and add the apn settings of Giffgaff and
I got data connection H+ but then I tried to make a call and it says No mobile network phone.
I checked the imei and doesn't appear to be corrupt and I checked *#0011# and it said IMEI CERT = Pass.
So don't know what the problem is and the phone is sim unlocked .
I checked online to make sure that the phone he gave me wasn't blacklisted or anything just in case lol
Thanks!
Have a read of the 'efs know this stuff' sticky in the general forum.

Must be hardware failure then..If phone is not stolen/blocked different stock software doesn't work imei is intact apn settings are ok and patched modems kernels not working than all options are pointing to some sort of hardware failure.

Getting a H+ signal is different from actually getting a working data. Try to check if data is really working (browsing etc).
If there's no data even with the right APN, means the phone is probably black-listed from the carrier or you need a new (patched) modem. The right modem will solve this issue if it's not black-listed
If the data works but no phone calls, means you can try to flash stock rom and see if the problem persists.
If you were on 4.3, don't flash to 4.1.2 btw
PS: There have been a lot of refurbished/refreshed Sammy phones on the market. Their hardware issues are well known like bluetooth stops working etc etc. So if he/she got a refurb, then probably hardware issue as well.

Data sometimes works even if the phone is black-listed depending on the carrier and their implementation policies. Wifi always works though.
You mentioned changing roms.
So which rom are you currently using?

Can you try stock 4.3 for your device/carrier?
Are you using the same telcom operator (carrier)?

Same here. If you just want to access the network settings you can download an app like "ForceLTE" or similar.
I'm facing the same problem, I am appreciated if anyone have the solution?
Check your carrier and location
Whether you can use VoLTE or not depends on a few things:
* Your location, your account with your carrier, and the model of your phone.
* The carrier, carrier account, location, and phone model of the person you're calling.
* Some carriers support VoLTE only in certain cities or area codes. Contact your carrier to ask about your area and account.

Thanks for your reply, the problem is I have no problem to have VOLTE by using Galaxy S10 with same sim card and I couldn't find the volte "switch" in the oppo UI and couldn't turn on/off. As a result couldn't use the VOLTE function. Therefore I do think it is the firmware problem from Oppo.
I just thinking about if I could flash the official Taiwan rom of same global phone model to my current one for solving the problem. But I'm not sure if it is workable or not.

Ah. I have CPH1919 (UK) and only option is call over Wi-fi. There is also no way to get to the hidden service menu either like in every other phone I've had.
If you know for sure that Taiwan firmware has it, then I suppose, in theory, it would work providing that it is also definitely CPH1919 - any other variant has different partition structure. Be careful. Read around and let us know. Good luck
I have a CPH1919TW, it's using the same global firmware as CPH1919EX (even Oppo TW provides CPH1919EX ROM for download), the phone will ID itself as CPH1919TW.

Question Data not working on Google fi

So I have a US Xperia 5 IV. It is on the current latest official firmware from Sony my provider is Google fi. The phone is activated and working I have 5G service my Wi-Fi calling works the issue I have noticed is if I'm in a phone call my data doesn't work while I'm in the phone call.
If I enter the phone test menu and look at phone information it shows me that volte is provisioned. The IMs provider even says that it's registered and that volte is available but it's almost acting like the phone isn't actually doing volte that's what I'm in a phone call I don't actually have the HD icon indicating that it's on a volte phone call.
I looked around and the only other reference of someone having the same issue was one Reddit post but nobody ever answered them and a few other people have reported the same issue on that same Reddit thread. Things that have been attempted by me and the other users is we've disabled 5G cleared the Google fi app said it back up anyone have any clue what might be happening or how to fix it?

I was going to attempt to go through the volte vowifi guide that someone posted here but only do the volte and see if maybe that would Kickstart it and make it work.
I mean it shows in my phone that volte is on so thats not the problem .... Is probably something in firmware thats fcked up. So i guess a13 might fix it

Yeah my phone it shows the same thing and the phone information screen it's provisioned ims shows registered and available it's almost like the phone software just doesn't want to switch over and do that.
It could be the firmware is anyone know if the Xperia 1 IV has the same issue?
