Question Issue with adaptive brightness or washed out colors when in the run - Redmi Note 11S 4G / POCO M4 Pro 4G (fleur)

I am using Lineage GSI rom. When I take my Redmi note 11s outside the colors become washed out and faded. I noticed when I cover the front camera or take the phone back indoors or step into a shadow the colors restore back to what they should be. Any ideas of what to do? I have adaptive brightness disabled already.

How can i get lineage Gsi on my redmi 11s
Did you have the link ??

Low light

At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Good
Awful. Those who are saying its good are lying
It sucks in lowlight. I mean it's only good in bright sunlight, anything lower than that and this camera struggles. I don't know why Xiaomi was boasting so much about this CMOS **** or whatever on its page, the camera is just terrible.
Pretty bad but better than my old Moto G 3. Photos in daylit or any well lit place are decent though.
The camera sucked in general and too much in low light. But the camera is the one in LG G6 and you can get good output if you switch to pixel camera. The difference it makes is huge

How do you check that?
Omnivision sensors are actually quite good. Especially so with MIUI 9.
Comapred to Samsung (quick test at store):
In bright light:
Omnivision sensor captures more details than Samsung. A lot.
Samsung has richer colors. Omnivision colors are a bit faint.
In low light:
Samsung captures more details, but both are equally noisy.
MIUI 9 has improved night performance tremendously on my OV sensor. Unbelievably so. Haven’t compared to Samsung though.
I can post sample pics if anyone is interested. (OV13588)

Yes, OmniVision OV13855
Here's a sample low light photo with and without HDR (stock MIUI 9 camera)
Sony sensor.. great captures.. low light better than stock MIUI camera on GCam app ported by BSG
Is the Redmi Note 4 camera the same than the Mi A1???

With Google Camera with AutoHDR+, low light is actually not bad at all.
Great performance with GCam port on Android 9.

Color saturation & accuracy

If you're colorblind, please disregard this thread. Rate this thread to express how you deem the color saturation and accuracy of the Xiaomi Mi A1's display. A higher rating indicates that you think that color accuracy is very high and saturation is excellent.

I don't know how to check/test color accuracy. But side to ide with my op5, looks very dull.
i also found the colors to be pretty washed out but thought it was because of it being an lcd and not an amoled. I just installed lineage os and you can tune the colors to whatever you like. it certainly looks very different. I am satisfied now. It looks better to me than the note 2 and the lg g5 which are the only devices I can compare it to.

I totally agree. This was the single reason to my for flashing a custom rom. My display is made by Tianma and was calibrated way too cold.
After installing LOS 15.1 and voidkernel i used kernel adiutor to calibrate de colors and saturation. This is my color profile: RGB=237,238,252 Saturation=45.
Some more good profile for our device..
Who else have different configuration please share it with us
yeah will be nice people able to reach good result, share theyr screen configuration!!!
I don't think that sharing color profiles would be very useful. Mi A1 is a low budget phone with different types of displays from different manufacturers. Each display will have another tint, so you can't really compare color values. My display was very blueish, I had to reduce blue and green in order to get a proper calibrated screen.
So, maybe you can suggest software/way to calibrate good the display?

There are different ways. You could either flash a custom rom with display adjustment capabilities, like LinageOS or RR. Or you just flash a custom kernel and calbirate the screen with Kernel Adiutor.

the MIUI launcher..
it has a software that can change / manipulate the screen "color" output

Well, it is possible to easily root Mi A1 and then adjust the colour, so I don't see a problem here

they have not the same exact display, because both (mi a1 - Mi 5x) can have 2-3 different screen model.

Well yeah, I forgot to mention that. What I meant is that you still get one of these screen models on both devices

yes sir, it is possible..
in my point of view, after a few months my eyes adjust itself to the "color scheme" of the MiA1..

[Camera] Redmi 3s Prime camera focus problem

I wonder if anyone of you have problem with camera focus. I want to know that it could be problem in MIUI or is it H/W issue?
Please help me with it.
Thanks
I also have the same problem where the Redmi 3S main camera doesn't focus and all pictures captured are blurred.
Same issue here, started after installing custom ROM
Does it happens for only the back cam or both the cams? It might be possible that there is dust inside the glass which affects focus. might want to clear your lens from the inside.

redmi 3s is most bugged phone in the history of xiaomi. this one unlucky fella got no love of xiaomi leaving it without any single android upgrade or latest security patch.
According to me that auto-focus issue may be a wrongly designed mechanism, as I have experienced this issue on all camera apps in playstore and custom rom I have tried
Lol front camera is fixed focus camera so don't expect so much.
My Xiaomi Redmi 3s camera also can't focus anymore because the camera's autofocus problem suddenly happens on my phone. I also cleaned the camera lens from the inside and the results didn't work. suppose this problem has a solution or not ?? because I often use cameras for photography ... please help find a solution ...

Is poco F1 worth upgrading from a rooted oneplus 3 ?

I own a oneplus 3 which is rooted with Magisk and has RR nougat rom with bluspark kernel and AKT profiles. I have installed Arnova's gcam mod which improved its camera quality by miles. I also have Viper4android and Dolby atmos installed which makes listening to songs through headphones feel like heaven.
My only gripe is bad battery life because of its age. I still manage almost 5hrs SOT from 90% charge(I used to get 7hrs+ SOT when it was new) because of almost no standby drain .I am also worried if the snapdragon inside might show its age in the coming years.
So should I buy the poco f1 or just buy a new battery and run my oneplus 3 for a couple of years ? Does the poco take better photos than a oneplus 3 ? From the camera samples I have seen its on par with oneplus 3 stock cam in daylight and much worse than that in lowlight . I might be biased so I need some opinions from people who own both these phones. Also does viper4android work on Mi roms running on Oreo ?

It'll be worth when development will start. For now it's buggy. But not worthless. Everything runs smooth and it feels snappy, camera is excellent in day light but in low light it losses some details. overall it's buggy for now but I'm sure when development starts it'll be worth upgrading from op3. And lcd display used is excellent in it's department and it shows crisp and vibrant colours but when comparing to Amoled it losses some points.
Hi, i wanted to do the same. But after reading all the problems with Poco f1 ( bugs, touch problems, lcd, earphones) i will just stick with my OP3. My OP3 is still great, except battery life. But i can achieve between 4:30 to 5hrs of SOT,so its not that bad after all. The other thing is that i dont know,if i could live without OxygenOS,lol. Its so snappy and close to stock android,i just love it. I will probably upgrade when OP7 will come out (SD855). For now,im happy with my OP3 and we are also getting Android Pie!

Those are not what this phone is being bought for.
If performance and battery life is the last thing on your list, then you should look elsewhere.
UI is still being polished and has bugs. Can't comment on the OP3 camera hardware but I like poco camera. Display is not amoled. But 2016 SD 820 vs 2018 SD 845?

Question S5KHP1 working on K50 Ultra?

I have a Redmi K50 Ultra, and its camera sensor module (s5khm6) is different from the Xiaomi 12T Pro (s5khp1). However, they have the same module slot on the motherboard. I've replaced the s5khm6 with the s5khp1.
Due to driver issues (I'm using CN ROM), I renamed and replaced the drivers in /vendor/lib(64)/camera/ and modified some configuration files in /vendor/etc/camera by making a Magisk module.
Here are some of my findings:
- In the stock camera app, there's only an option for 108MP, but the actual output is a 200MP photo with a lot of noise. In outdoor situations with strong lighting, there's a pink filter-like effect on the edges of the photo, and the overexposed areas also appear pink.
- In normal photo mode, the output is only 12MP, not 12.5MP (which the s5khp1 should output).
In China, there are many Redmi K50 Ultra users, and some of those have upgraded their hm6 to hp1. They've tried flashing the Global ROM, but it doesn't seem to solve the issues mentioned above.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
