Question hello, I want to give Myself a root on Game Guardian, Can You give it to Me Please - OnePlus Nord N20 5G

For the game critic ops is a game like this

The situation is much like N200.
You have to get SIM unlocked in order to activate OEM unlock
There's a trick to "steal" boot.img for rooting

Could you elaborate on the trick to steal the boot.img? I cannot find a stock boot.img to patch for the life of me

Since your looking for a root for your game you may want to start by planting the seed from game guardian and water it everyday til it grows a root for you. You will know it's ready for harvest when it sprouts jelly beans, KitKats, marshmallows, nougat, etc.. AND red velvet cake. If u let it go too far it may sprout a snow cone and then your root is no good so make sure to pluck the root before the snow cone appears

Just a quick heads-up. https://www.oneplus.com/unlock_token By the way, to root without readily available stock firmware, first unlock bootloader, then boot a pre-rooted GSI with DSU Sideloader, pull stock boot partition from there, and finally...

Bootloader Unlock

Hello,
I have been trying to research how bootloaders get unlocked without manufacturer help and not coming up with many results. I want to learn how to root and unlock bootloaders and create recoveries and everything to help out accessing and customizing devices, but trying to find things to read and learn about those topics hasn't turned up much helpful threads or info at all, if anyone could direct me to where I could learn how to do all those things that'd be awesome! Also, thinking about bootloader for vs990, could we not just take an unlocked t-mobile bootloader and customize to the correct paths and values for vs990? What about the kdz file, can that be used to modify the boot security and unlock the bootloader or not? Thanks for the info and your time in advanced!

That method doesn't work on vs990, Verizon locked it down so when you try to get to bootloader even through adb reboot bootloader it just reboots to the system. No fastboot commands possible.

Damn, looking at buying a V10 now that it has root, but a locked bootloader equals an unhappy phone.

Well we did just get root a week ago... So don't give up hope just yet, give it a little more time and hopefully they'll crack through the security or overwrite the boot partition all together or something so we can get custom roms.
As of 3/24/2016, they have not unlocked the bootloader nor made any recovery system for the LG V10.

Sadly. That's why I was hoping for someone to know of some resource I could use to learn how to crack the bootloader to unlock it and to get twrp up and running on v10. There is an unofficial twrp for t-mobile v10.

More power to you. Best option right now is to write Verizon a crap ton of letters and see if they'll unlock the bootloader.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe 550KL Bootloader Unlock Tool

It looks like Asus has provided us with the unlock tool for the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Hopefully someone can make a guide to help users unlock their bootloader. Does anyone think this has a chance of working on the special edition version?
https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS550KL/HelpDesk_Download/
I'm not sure of that would be the same for this....
https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS570KL/HelpDesk_Download/
EDIT: Yeah i was correct this is only 5.5 for now, just have to wait a bit for 5.7 once they do so. until then if we have any testers for 5.5 they should start it now and get this phone hype up, if it works.
As I've been saying... as soon as they get off their behinds and release a bootloader unlock, I'll buy. Looking at you 256gb special edition! Common Asus!

Best way to do so, is word of mouth and contact there support. Then it will go from there.
We have the deluxe bootloader non special edition unlock tool out in the public for about a month and nobody who posts in XDA has said much about it yet. My fear is interest in this phone isn't so high so we'll never get a guide or solution to unlock the bootloader for the deluxe or special edition.
Has anyone with the deluxe tried using the unlock tool?

I would love to hear some users report back on using this tool.

yes I flashed it via recovery mode, I haven't attempted the adb loader.
after further inspection to the zip file, DO NOT FLASH IT VIA RECOVERY. install it via the apk within the zip file. this unlocks the bootloader. as of now my zs550kl boot loader is unlocked and i will proceed with trying to get it rooted.

Alright that is very good news, keep us posted, sadly can't do much here for the 5.7 until then. As well post some screenshots as well.
I am a bit of a noob to the root scene. Last device I rooted was a galaxySII. I now have a zs550kl as I am trying to make my way back into the cutting-edge arena. I would like to see a root for this as my career has an imei lock on the data signal and I would like to spoof this with the imei of the varied bought device.
hello man! I am looking all over the web trying to find the bootloader unlock tool you mentioned that works for the 5.7 inch, would you drop a link or post a comment on where to find it? thank you for considering!

AT&T v520, any future hope for root..??

So I'm building a custom dash mount for an 8" tablet, and I'd love to use my v520 G Pad X 8.0, but I'll probably grab a Nexus if the future is looking dim on this current setup.. So just wondering, would you guys assume that rooting the AT&T variant is probably never gonna happen..??
Thanks..
I am curious about this as well. This would be the first LG device I have owned that will not have been rooted. I probably wouldn't have bothered with the deal from ATT if I had suspected it would never be rooted.

Unfortunately, all it did was reboot back into android. SO I am assuming root won't be coming this way. Doubt I'll even repair this since I can't root it.
I am assuming an OEM unlock code is needed?
One additional thing: I can enable OEM Unlock in the Developer Options

Oppo A57 custom rom needed

OH developers please port a rom to oppo a57
its an awsome device its got 3gb ram snapdragon 435 and 720 p display please guys port it colour os sucks help needed
OP, I know you posted this in the find5 thread as you wanted them to port the rom from this phone but since it's for the a57 I assume this technically isn't the right place to do it, anyhow:
From what I can tell Oppo has restricted access to the bootloader on these phones and we still don't have a working root method. Until either one of these circumstances changes it is unlikely that any development can begin for these phones.
If any senior devs out there have skills in reverse engineering, I would be more than happy to donate to the cause or maybe even flash your betas because at this stage what I have is a well spec'd phone that's as useful as a brick thanks to Oppo's abhorrent ColorOS. I just want root or an unlocked bootloader.
I'm offering $25aus as a starting point and I'm sure others would get on board with me since we all spent the equivalent of $300aus for a P.O.S phone.

Can confirm rooting method works but it seems like it corrupts your NV partition. Make sure you've taken a backup of yours before proceeding. Check back as we nut out a solution.
I currently have my phone rooted and TWRP installed but the bootloader still needs to be unlocked or a tool similar to magictricks.zip needs to be made to enable/install fastboot binaries on this device.
Anyone here familiar with doing this?
I can provide you with backups of the file system.
Let's get these phones free, next stop roms.

From what I've read, there isn't a high likelihood of us getting fastboot. The main reason bootloader unlocking was possible with previous models was due to Oppo's release of 'project spectrum' firmware.
Our best approach is to make our voices heard on the Oppo forums and/or learn about reverse engineering bootloaders to create a solution.
I'm grateful that we have root (at a cost of signal), it's an excellent starting point at least. Have patience.

Wow.. nice
It seems like there's a variant of the V60 that can be bootloader unlocked (the Euro ver.) and back when I had the V30 we did something similar where you would have to convert your NA variant (Or any variant that was not listed in LG's official bootloader unlocking site [EXCEPT T-MOBILE]) to the supported variant's firmware then flash the unlock.bin file.
I dont know how useful this will be for the V60 though, just sharing my previous experience just too scared to test this method on my daily driver.

Yes, european versions(mine) always get bootloader unlock. But from what I know it's impossible to unlock any other versions untill someone find an exploit. And since v60 isn't very popular I doubt there will be unlock for any other version of it(about european).

Only European version of v60 supports bootloader unlocking. So you can't get root.
That's why I'll never buy this. Will stick with my old LG which is good enough.
damn what a shame, such a great phone and yet not much interest in general.
According to Unlock Bootloader Support list from LG, LMV600EA is the only device ca n be root
with the long battery life and extra screen and stylus , the v60 might be my first daily driver thats not got root.
I used to use lots of apps for root, mainly firewall to block apps from internet use and UI apps for fast system navigation and non standard features, but most of these can now be done with non root apps and cloning apps with networking disabled now, so im feeling i might just survive without the few apps that do need root.
