Question NFC issue with extended lenght - Nubia Red Magic 7

Hi
Is this a known issue with extended lenght in NFC-Modul. My device, Redmagic 7 transparent, Build 4.15 global rom, doesnt support extended lenght in NFC functions. I cant use the elektronic functions of ID-Card.
In most of cases this is just a software problem. Sometimes its a matter of hardware. Can somebody help me to activate the function of extended lenght in NFC?
thanks

I didn't think there was a battery with NFC for the S2. Can you link to a product page or something?

i bought it from a korean website i can t remember which one but there s near field communication writing on it!
There is currently no way to activate NFC on the i9100 - the battery may have the antenna but without the controller (which I'm pretty sure is in the phone itself), it's pretty useless. Sorry

Ulefone Be Touch 3

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a method to root the Ulefone Be touch 3.
I have some problems with the sensitivity of the screen and i need root access to modify build.prop.
If someone have a solutions
Thanks
Check this out http://www.needrom.com/download/be-touch-3-twrp/ i rooted mine with that
Many thanks
Have you some problems with sensitivity's screen ?
Like when you write a sms quickly, the screen follow ?
Be Touch 3
Hi,
I have just bought a Ulfone Be Touch 3. I'm fairly impressed with the phone so far apart from the touch screen sensitivity as you mentioned.
I'm coming from a Samsung so its really noticeable.
I have rooted my Be Touch and edited the build.prop but that hasn't made any difference to the touch screen at all.
I would just like to no if anyone has made any more progress with this issue?
You need to disable the vibrate-on-touch option to make typing smoother and more responsive.
Hi, i have tested the ulefone be touch 3, is see not much improvements compared to the touch 2.
I think the battery is the same beyond the sticker on it. The system speed feel the same, the fingerprints
is faster, battery life sucks again, it run only for 24 hour in normal use a few social media apps running in backgroud
like it have to be. and wifi on. (without simcard) and few times screen on (low br). in comparison with the touch 2, 18 hour.
System this time it's real android 5.1 (touch 2 a 5.0 not a 5.1)
So i think no ulefone anymore. The description deviates too much from reality, that ulefone presents on the website.
The big problem is the rom take to much energy and the battery is 50% to small.
Hi guys , I also have a be touch 3 , the only issue I have is the fingerprint reader will code in but then never recognises the finger to unlock, not an issue for me as I prefer pattern unlock, I find the battery much better than my last chinese phone , the mstar s700 which performed well but battery was shocking. I get a full day out of a charge which s all I expect from a budget phone , everything else is good so far ( 2 months) , Construction is good and I don't experience screen lag. Obviously any improvement tips would be useful...
Very first LK.BIN for ulefone Be Touch 3 needed
SOLVED
Hi,
I flashed my Ulefone Be Touch 3 device with Ulefone's ROM and ... big mistake : soft bricked.
The device still works except the screen : a dark blue one with no logo, no icon, etc.
From what I read, I can get screen back to normal with the very first lk.bin file but i can only find recent (and thus faulty) ROMs.
Could someone help me ?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
---
SOLVED : there are 4 different ROMs from Ulefone for this device.
Downloaded each one (mega links so use Tor browser if you're blocked in your country) and tested them all.
Screen is now back.
Also check this for Be Touch 3 goodies :
- http://www.htcmania.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2049 --> here you can get some beta ROMs
Cheers :emoji_laughing:
Volunteers needed, really !!
Hi all,
I can see there are custom ROMs (nougat 7.1.1) for Vernee Thor and Jisatsu smartphone.
Both of them use the MTK 6753 SoC.
I can't find a single custom ROM for the Ulefone Be Touch 3, MTK 6753-based too ...
Has anyone heard sth about this ?
I think it shouldn't be that tough to build such a ROM, but I'm not able to do so, at all.
SOME VOLUNTEER ... ??
Thx in adv.

Using Redmi 3 with Google Play and Cardboard

Hi all.
I just took delivery of a Redmi 3 in Switzerland, bought from an online vendor. The unit was pre-configured for English, had the Mi market replaced with Google Play, and very few pre-installed apps. The MIUI version shows
MIUI Global 7.1|Stable
71.91.99(LHPCNCK)
I have not rooted it, but have replaced the Mi Launcher with Nova for a familiar look.
The only real thing I miss is the lack of 5GHz wifi, which gives me poorer reception at home. But I also have a couple of questions:
While I appreciate Google Play being installed (and default), am I missing anything important in NOT having the MiUI apps store installed, or not having a Mi account?
I want to use this phone with Google Cardboard. But, in use, while the VR works fine when head turning up-and-down, it doesn't respond when moving side-to-side. The Compass app seems to work OK (if a little jittery). Is there some calibration that I need to do? Or is it just not possible?
There's a setting under Network->More called "wireless display". Does anyone know what this is, if I can use this to display my phone's screen on a bigger display? Is it Miracast, something else? It would be great if I could use this feature.
Many thanks for any suggestions. And this is just after day 1!
i believe that's problem with Redmi 3 it self, since it also happen on me, when i use cardboard it deosn't work properly ( ithink there is something with sensor, not sure if it hardware or software)
as you MIUI version, if you only need english language, go flash via Mi flash an official Rom or even perhaps Developer Rom (curently v.6.3.25) it's stable at least for me, also battery is good for few days (more than 2 day battery life-depend on how you use the phone)
Many Redmi 3 user also expirience the same problem. Because there is no real gyro hardware. U can check it from CIT mode. Akm or bosch sensor suffer jittering but only a few Yas sensor got the problem, by disabling the magnet in the cardboard. Like my device sensor is akm so i cant use vr but that ok i fell sick when using vr (borrowing my friends vr). I still hoping its only a software problem. Coz there is no gyro hardware, some said its an emulated compas and accelerometer sensor. If its true may be an OP or DEV can make the fix
I have the same problem, it's impossible to pan sideways, just up and down, it makes Cardboard useless. Hope someone can find a fix to this problem!

I just bought a VR visor, and my phone has a Yas sensor, in this case should it work? Can I use the magnet or not?

Some can, some is not. If your vision jitter, try not to use the magnet. See if it still jitter or not.

Dt2w not working after display replacement

Hey Folks,
a few weeks ago by display broke so I flashed my Z2 back to stock in case of sending it to Sony / O2 Germany.
After a little search, I decided to replace the screen for myself, so I buyed a screen and all went fine.
As I was back on my daily driver (latest CrDroid), I noticed that double tap to wake was not working at all, so I tested the screen and sensors, but all work fine.
I flashed back to stock Kitkat - dt2w not working
I flashed to stock Lollipop - dt2w not working
I flashed to Mokee, CrDroid and some other ROMs with and without M5 Kernel - nothing works.
I also have no Options in Kernel Adiutor for Dt2w, the dt2w setting in all roms were checked...
The Display was named as L50w, and on the back at one of the small cables was printed: Sirius - LG Innotek.
So maybe flashing a Hong Kong based stock ROM may help - L50w is Hong Kong version?
I'm open to all ideas and experiments
*note, I'm on a mac, no chance for windows etc.
Maybe the display you bought doesn't support dt2w, just guessing
I wondering if this is display related and not software?
I'll try an app from the playstore now.
It also depends upon the kernel but then you've just replaced the display rather than altering the kernel so i guess its related to display in your case. And i may be wrong because I'm not 100% sure
Thanks for your reply, I tried several apps from the playstore wich was a big fail ... most apps are crap, some worked but the display wasn' t really in sleep.
Am I the only one with this problem?
I guess yes
I'm about to trash the phone and buy a new Z2
Any chance to find out more information about the display? All apps just showing the resolution and dpi and screen size.
Same as mine .. i think it because of the hardware
Maybe you replaced with non original screen ?
L50W is a mainland China varient, not Hong Kong.
And yes, you seem to have a wrong screen replaced.

NFC??

Does the Poco F1 have NFC (at least in europe)??? I read somewhere that it doesnt have NFC, which would suck, since Google Pay just started here in Germany...
As far as we've seen specs, they all indicate it doesn't come with NFC, I guess it's a small trade they made for a cheaper phone (small for me since I don't use it)
No NFC. Read the reviews from Android Authority and GSMArena. The Verge also covered the phone.
I don't mind since there are no other SD845 phones under $399. They had to cut corners. NFC and IP cert are usually on the chopping block as far as features go...
No it does not have nfc
People in India don't need NFC. Because we barely use it. In the last five years I never used NFC. Maybe for Europe people their transport system has payments with NFC so they'll face an issue.

I never use NFC for payment. But using NFC for sending files (android beam) or transferring file from old phone to new one (if both support NFC) are pretty neat!
I am still confused. Many places say it doesn't have it but some websites (XDA included) state it does. Could someone verify?
Maybe its possible to Upgrade NFC with a NFC enabled Back Cover. WE need a tear down Video already!
The specs given initially on XDA included NFC. But it handy seems this was not correct - the post has been ammended to state "no NFC", consistent with other reports and hands-on videos I've seen.
I've never come across an external NFC device for any phone. Would be a handy device to have, though it would presumably occupy the usb-c, which in itself would be a PITA
Someone on another forum raised an interesting idea. There were the initial ideas that the F1 might have NFC. It was suggested that either the European version might have NFC or even that all versions might have NFC but that it might not be enabled in the Indian ROM.
To check this, if anyone has an F1, could they please install DevCheck from XDA or Play and just check on the hardware page to verify that NFC hardware is not present.
Thanks a million

Speaking of the European version, is that a thing yet? Is it possible to get my hands on that from anywhere?
Well bad news, devcheck shows no nfc hardware.

Hi Sanjay, that's the case on my Hong Kong / international version too - i think naff47 is asking about the European version (if that's different from the international one - highly doubtful I'd have thought). I read from someone in the Netherlands that it had launched there (it's available on import from China pretty much everywhere), but haven't seen this confirmed.
Time will tell

Hongkong probably will be made in China, whereas mine is made in India.
Not too sure if there is any other manufacturing facility for our phone
Plus I don't think NFC will add that much to the cost that they will put it in selectively.
The only way to use NFC with the F1 is by getting Samsung S3 Fronier smart watch. That will connect to the F1 and the watch has NFC. I tested it and it works great. You need to use Magisk hide if you're rooted,
There is no NFC built into the Poco.

Great to hear you've found that setup works!
Just to check, have you managed to write to tags as well as read from them?
I won't be shelling out on a Samsung smart watch, but if that works, there's hope for other smart watches!

Who is gonna spend that much and that also in country like India.
but in India we use Mostly Paytm, PhonePe, BHIM UPI etc. apps which are UPI based apps so We don't need NFC must Have.
UPI is the standard way from Indian Government to Pay Digitally even with Low End Phones, and this phone is made accordingly!
