Phone drained off and I saw the logo then it shutdown, from there on its not charging or turning on. I kept it on charge for 3 hours and can feel some heat coming from the back but what ever I try its not turning on for some reason. Was working fine and charging just fine till it drained off.

I have a note 1 N7000, and each time the screen began flickering and after that it shut down. This got worse after flashing a cyanogenmod rom. By plugging in the charger the battery seemed empty, but wasn't. After a while the battery indicator used to show charged 70 % or more. Put the charger cable off and the situation repeated after a short time of usage. Last night it started turning off at boot and wouldn't turn on unless on charge. I flashed a original JB rom since the problem doesn't happen when on recovery/download mode. but now it does it even when connected on charge.

I just picked up the V10 yesterday and when I got home I connected the fast charger and it went from 20% to 47% fairly quick, but it was stuck at 47% all night. Woke up in the morning and it was still 47%. So, I wiped the phone and it still said 47%. When I shut the phone off completely it said 100% on the charge screen. Started the phone and now it says 100%.
It seems like it registers it discharging but not charging even though I think it is still charging. Does the v10 have a battery cache reset like other phones use to have?
Wondering the same with me. I didn't reset my phone, but took the battery out by chance and rebooted and showed 100%.
I use my note 5 charger and it charges quicker imo
So I've had this problem for a while now.
I got crDroid Nougat 7.1.1 on my d852.
I noticed that my battery lasted WAY less these last few months than it did before, so what I did was discharge it completely, rebooted twice because apparently it still had 13% left whenever it shut down, and then let it charge.
I let it charge until 20%, then powered it on, and it said 43%. I powered it off and it said 20% again. I can easily cahrge it up to 100% when its powered off, but sometimes I need to use it and whenever it hits 100% while powered on, it stops charging anymore as it recognizes the battery full. 100% for me powered on is 45% powered off.
Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there any fix or am I doomed to have to charge it all the way while powered off.

My phone was working fine on this version since more than a year. But a couple of weeks ago, problem started.
Before going to sleep, I have approx 60-70 percent battery left and I keep my phone switched on.
But when I wake after 6 hours of sleep, phone is switched off and doesn't boot. If i keep it on charging, notification led is not lit(while phone is still off).
It boots up 10-15 minutes after I keep it on charging.
Same thing happens if i switched off phone before going to sleep.
Battery works fine, no issues in phone during day
I tried factory reset but it did not helped.
Is it a hardware problem?
Edit: After 4 days, I'm now having trouble charging my phone. Sometimes it charges, sometimes it don't.

I've noticed slow boots recently after a few hours of phone being off but didn't pay attention.
the phone was working normally(considering age) when booted and restarts were fine.
the other night I turned the phone off over night and now it wont boot.
it turns on and takes a few minutes on Sony logo then a few minutes on Android logo then boot animation comes but struggles to show the animation so takes a minutes to load frame by frame! eventually boot animation starts and stays there for about 40-50 minutes then the phone restart and again Sony logo.
battery wasn't drained cause after 1 hour of booting attempt when I turned it off(using the red button) and plugged it in it had 41% charge left.
I let it charge to 100% pulled out SIM and microSD but it's the same.
ROM, bootloader ,root...never been touched.
the battery also never been changed! it's 10 years old but never acted funny like sudden drops from 50% to 20% or sudden 80% to 100% when charging.
is it the battery? does booting require more power?! did the weak battery damage circuits?
any ideas?
