Question Downgrade os - Samsung Galaxy A02s

Anyone know how to downgrade os? I'm on android 11.

Your bootloader must be unlocked. Once that is done, flashing an older firmware should be relatively trivial using Odin.

I just did it. Flashed android 10 from 11. Flash an unlocked frp if its locked. Use Odin3 v3.14 patched. Make sure you use right csc code

Is this the same procedure for all samsung? I've done this to my galaxy s10, but instead of odin i flashed a backup of android 10 using twrp (currently i'm using the latest bootloader) and the phone is now in bootloop.

I resell phones so I'm not super familiar with twrp, but sing patched Odin to downgrade works like a charm.

In patched odin flash ap, bl cp csc and user data. Even if you're frp locked that will get you past it. Use android 10 build date 20210626133126 samfw

So, what your thoughts about this: https://samfw.com/blog/what-is-bit-binary-value

If for some reason my flashing system to bypass oem lock was a one off there are multiple other ways. You could flash a single partition using Medusa. Or read Thread 'V60 Bootloader Unlock and Magisk Root' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/v60-bootloader-unlock-and-magisk-root.4358785/ and you'll learn how to Fastboot flash oem unlock. That works, I did it on a V60

So when flashing look at the 5th number of the baseband is a 5 then you can flash anything 5 or higher. If you flash a 4 you're going to break it. If you flash a 7 you can always go back down to 5

Well, that explains it all, LG phones and Samsung are very different, with a samsung there is this thing called "Binary" or "SW Rev" meaning that if you have a binary 10 installed on your device and try to install the binary 9 it will not flash or if you force-it to flash your phone won't boot in to the system (only in download mode), every new android version it changes the binary, so in samsung it's only possible to downgrade the android version if you use a rom that is compatible with the latest binary

I look at th csc code. If I flash and it bootloops then I reflash something else. You rarely break a phone permanently. Sometimes I have no clue what the original firmware was or im combining different pieces. So reflash the csc that works and eventually everything will work out.

no system, no recovery, device locked, what can i do ?

hi,
i wanted to flash stock android (used an rom before) so i erase recovery system etc.. and when i want to flash the system img it says "
(bootloader) Device State : Locked
FAILED (remote: Can not flash any images while device state is locked!)
-.- what can i do ?
any solutions ?
thanks
Not much. Only thing you can do with a locked boot loader is flash OTA updates, and they don't have an OTA that will flash the full system. OTAs only update an existing system. You shouldn't have erased your system.
You need to return your N9 to HTC for a replacement.

hmm okey, so send it back to HTC (or amazon cause i buyed it there)
but it should be no problem cause its locked and therse no sign that it was/is rooted, right?
also i have buyed an insurance for 2 years so i think it should be okey... i hope so
So I'm in a similar pickle, with one huge difference: my bootloader is unlocked, and reflects such in the fastboot menu.
Long story short, I have no image of any kind on it at this point. All attempts with any interface to flash either 5.1.1 or 6 fail. When attempting to flash the system.img, I get the "too many links" error. I've not found a solution that works.
At this point, I have no recovery and no image. I can't successfully flash one either. Not sure what to do from here...

Thanks, I ended up getting it in a workable state last night. Ran a temporary recovery via Wug's toolkit, got TWRP installed, and went from there. I now have Marshmallow on it via AOSP, but I think the bootloader might still need updating.

Definitely send it back to Amazon. They are very good about taking returns. You can just say you tried to update the OS, and now the device doesn't boot (i.e. product is defective).

Have you tried flashing the factory images with fastboot? Pretty straight forward...
For future reference, how did you erase things with the bootloader locked?

Urgent help needed: Sm-g360az bricked

Hello....i rooted my sm-g360az samsung phone and when i restarted the phone, it didn't boot up to the home screen. It shows the samsung logo and then becomes blank....i later on came to know on the internet that i hadnt enabled 'oem unlock' on 'developer options' before rooting. I sent the phone to samsung for repair and they sent it back to me today saying that the phone is beyond repair because it was rooted, though i hadnt mentioned to them that i had rooted the phone. How do i get my phone to work again? I need it very badly for work purposes. Can somebody help me with this....

Solution to j327P (Sprint Variant) FRP bootloop

If you Have accidentally disabled Developer options and your phone was rooted, you probably went into a bootloop, and you think the only solution is a full odin restore, bu thats not true, there is an odin flashable package that allows you to bypass the FRP custom image block message and lets you boot into the os, from there enable oem unlocking, and reroot your device with supersu. I will attach the odin flashable below for those who need it.

Simply turning off usb debugging will not throw your phone into a boot loop normally unless ou had some bad hardware or custom settings.. Only time ive seen that happen is by using data from other models. Easy way to get past it is to just take out your battery for a bit, replace it then boot into upload mode. Next youll have to try various combos releasing the buttons and presing again quickly to get back to the download mode. Alternatively boot into TWRP/STock recovery, use AT+ Commands or use a application that will boot back.
Awesome you found a little trick to simplify it ! Keep it up!
EDIT: Ohh i see.. you are on a custom rom / binary? I still have yet to have this happen but to a J700 with SynexOS on it.. Ill give this a try.

Back to Stock Global (from LOS 16 with TWRP) / lock bootloader ?

Hello...
Is it just that simple.- flash the latest official global firmware in twrp, clear cache/dalvik and reboot,- and then i am completely back on stock ?
And after it, i can lock bootloader with the miflash-unlock-tool, if i would ?
(or how to do that?)
Would anyone post a simple step by step guide here ?
Thanks in advance !!!

Just start the mi-flash-tool and select the Fastboot-Rom, for example "...Global-9.6.25.0.OEJMIFD-3433a60ef4-8.1...", and start ?
Equal, if the device is rooted with magisk and flashed with unofficial lineageOS ?

Fastboot will restore your phone back to factory settings and I guess that's what you want. You can't restore to factory settings in TWRP as it requires unlocked bootloader. Just download the ROM and flash via fastboot

It's quite simple. I did it myself a few days ago. The tool does everything itself. But you should still read the thread if you are new to MIUI like me. But keep in mind the phone will format including the internal storage. I suggest you backup everything.

Question [SOLVED] Cant get into my tablet because of "Can't create work profile because policy prevents custom os"

***UPDATE***
To anyone who comes across this, I fixed the issue by following a guide by @AddictedA1 on this post . Note that your case might be different as in you might be locked out of device and unable to change OEM lock from settings. This was the case with me so I just follwed the FRP/Knox bypass guide, accessed settings, enabled OEM unlocking and the proceeded with the above guide.
If you have any questions then just message me.
***************
So today we were given Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 lites by our state government for promoting technology in the state (elections in a few months go figure).
The issue was that it comes with knox which has government agency as the admin.
I tried rooting by flashing magisk flashed AP following this guide (for samsung galaxy tab A7) but now after startup it asks me to connect to the Internet and, runs a few checks and says "cant create work profile because security policy prevents this on a custom os".
It's just stuck at that message and can't get out of there.
I've never had any Samsung device before so I might be doing something wrong. Any help on how to get out of this is appreciated. Thanks
Well. I faced the same problem. After hours of hit and trail i finally managed to atleast boot back to my previous state i.e Yogi Ji's pic
Solution : I just relocked my bootloader via Download Mode and Flashed latest Firmware ( September Build ) with ODIN Tool. Untill some new development i.e custom ROMs for this device comes i think we are stuck with this lol

Tried doing it that's what tripped knox for me unfortunately
I have tried flashing after patching the AP file with magisk and it still didn't work.
It's knox which is the issue. It'll only work If someone can remove knox successfully and please update here if you do so. Thanks

The Knox app only stop booting if it detects that bootloader was unlocked or somtheing of similar nature. You can go back to your old state by relocking and flashing stock fw.
i made a quick guide, hope it helps
FIX - "Can't create work profile because policy prevents custom OS"
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite was distributed by our state government for promoting technology in the state. (JUST ELECTION THINGS) Anyways, the Tabs are coming with Samsung Knox security which cannot be uninstalled, disabled, debloated with adb...
forum.xda-developers.com
Somebody get help or asked some experience in XDA to make a TWRP port for this device or else forget privacy in this.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED KNOX FROM SAMSUNG OS AND WITH NEW WALLAPER LOOKS HEAVEN )))))
