Question T-Mobile OnePlus N200 5G does not get Android 12 - OnePlus Nord N200 5G

I have two T-Mobile's OnePlus N200 5G
One of them got Android 12 about 6 weeks ago.
Second one (received from T-Mobile few days ago under Trade In offer) is still on Android 11 and does not get any update (April 1 security patch of Android 11 is the last). Manual check does not get updates too.
How can I install Android 12 on this device?

it depends on what you want out of the phone.
T-Mobile pulled the Android 12 update back into development:
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G: Update to Android 13
Find out about the Android update on the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G.
www.t-mobile.com
I've not read anywhere as to the reason why they pulled it back, but clearly it must have been something significant enough that they suspended the rollout, rather than just fixing it with the next update.
My family also has two N200s, and one of them did the upgrade to 12. My son's is on 12 and has had few issues with his, and nothing significant to my knowledge. i kept delaying the update on mine until finally the update message went away when they pulled the update back, so i'm still on 11 and working just fine.
You could wait until T-Mobile addresses whatever they wanted to fix, and they push the update back out again via OTA (this is the solution i'm going to go with)
Not sure if the OOS12 image for the T-Mobile variant has been available on XDA, but you could check other threads here to see if anyone has it to download and install. you'd need to check whatever instructions are available on whatever thread you find it in to do that.
but, if you are wanting to go through the work of doing an OS install outside of the normal OTA, you may want to just check about the new official LineageOS being available for the N200. (if you want to try LineageOS, you would need to be on 11 to begin with anyway, which is conveniently where you are currently at)

I updated to 12 on my phone and had some issues so I msm'd back to 11 a week or so ago and just this morning got the notification for 12 again but with security updates for july. Perhaps they fixed some things up. Now that I know I can fall back to 11 no problem I will try out 12 again eventually.

I updated to 12 a couple weeks ago, I straight away noticed a problem receiving text msgs. I'd get the notification but when I went into messaging the text were gone. I was thinking about getting the phone replaced but thought to check for an update and Boom, there was an update saying RCS publish fix. I'm hoping I will no longer have the text disappearing. So far it looks fixed. I hope this helps

strange. Tmobile must be in some wonky dual development path hell.
I never completed the update to 12 when it was temporarily giving the messages to update, and it currently is still not giving me any messages about update, and Tmobile website says 12 is still in development. So they must still be working to put out a full 12 package for people to update from 11 to 12 who have never done so.
but if you've already updated to 12, then like duhhhm8, Tmobile is pushing an incremental update?
then there is Deejayadhd, who did update, then downgrated, and is getting the incremental message too? perhaps your device is tagged as having already updated to 12 so it's sending the incremental to you. it will be interesting how that will work. will the system figure out that it needs to send the full package again, or will it try to send the incremental 12 update to install into the current 11 system.

well, wtf.
my phone is just sitting there charging.
i go and doubletap the screen to wake it up, because i hear that i received a notification.
for a fraction of a second it shows the tmobile logo, and goes black/off.
turn it back on, and 12 gets installed and i'm looking at the app optimization %
no prompt to choose whether i wanted to or not, nothing.
just shut itself off and upgraded itself
whelp. bugs or no bugs, i guess i'm getting to see how 12 works out

if you hated 12 (I won't blame you), MSM back to 11 and go in developer options and disable automatic system updates and you should be able to install the april patch. after that, it shouldn't automatically reboot.

well, so far i think i've been ok. no major issues on 12 for me.
i think the one most irritating is the poor gmail/google notifications.
but my previous phone had the problem of the background updater kept getting killed so i would frequently go into accounts and uncheck gmail sync and recheck gmail sync to restart the background process and get my notifications working again.
so i'm already in the habit of regularly checking if gmail sync/notifications are working anyway. just a bummer that it was ok on 11, and now it's borked on 12 and i'm now back to old habits to address

I had absolutely nothing but problems with 12.. I had the original update.. Msm's to 11... Got the new android 12 update... Fixed a lot... But honestly... Didn't work great. I eventually called oneplus' support line to fix the bug about having a snapdragon 855... They said they were putting it on there to do list. So.. Cool. But then... Lineage OS was released for it.. And I was like: by Oxygen OS (Color OS brother/sister at this point). I had one issue with Lineage, but I think it might be device-specific (meaning my individual device). The Lineage OS update is phenomenal! It makes Color OS... I mean Oxygen OS 12, seem slow. Very slow.

in an update it does get android 12. Mine is one android 12 now after an update 2 weeks ago

I ended up downloading the update before it was pulled and have so many regrets. The most crippling issue is a seemingly unfixable bug that causes both wifi and cell signal to cut out at random, which is effecting both me and my other family members with the same phone. I also just generally hate the weird psudeo-ColorOS that i've been using. Sadly an authenticator app I need to use for work would make wiping the thing in the name of the OS downgrade too much of a pain, so I've just decided to order a different phone at this point.

Latest Honor 7 Update various problems

hi my phone updated to Emui 4.0 .... android 6.0
literally the moment it happened ive got two problems which im aware of .. number one they made changes to the settings area ,. so now my phone only charges when plugged into a pc .. i cant even find the setting to let me access the disk ... ive tried 4 cables
2). facebook literally freezes whenever i try to upload more than 7 photos. . ive re-installed facebook .. but its obviously this update which has created the problem .. also the camera is now sluggish . ..
is anyone else reporting similar problems ???
and anyone advise me how to get it read the data on the phone again .. before i reset it to factory settings
thanks
To read the file system, unlock the phone, swipe down the notification area, and tap the "files" button in the USB section (iirc)
My only issue seems to be 4G - my handset upgraded to B371 at the weekend, and was OK yesterday, but 4G was playing up again this morning. I had the same issue with B330 and B370, and ended up rolling back to B180. I'll see how the rest of the week goes, otherwise I might be rolling it back again.
@jaffas21 as @lybad suggested, upon connecting your phone to PC, swipe down the notification panel, and you'll there see two options Photos & Files, if you select Files you can transfer files from phone to PC via MTP protocol, its the most easy way. And yes the latest update(B371) makes camera bad. I think its a beta update, so bugs are expected.

My handset is running B371, as is my wife's - but it was released as an OTA, and neither of us are on the beta updates list. So I'm not convinced it's a beta release.
(Though I still have 4G issues with marshmallow on mine - through B330, B360, and B371)
@lybad what exactly is this 4G issue?

Enough to drive me up the wall.
Sorry for the length of this:
I don't have 4G near my home, but I do when I go to work in Dundee.
When I got the handset, it was running Android L - when MM came out I did a manual install of B330. When I run any of the MM builds, my phone is fine in 3G/2G mode, but when I set it to use 4G mode, there is no guarantee it will work at all. For example, you can try the Speedtest app, and it might come back with Network Communication errors, or download speeds of 1 or 2 Mb/s. If you visit a web page, network traffic will be bytes/s rather than Kb/s. If you switch the phone to use 3G, in the same spot, you will probably get 10-15Mb/s in Speedtest. Reboot the phone, using 4G, and you might get faster speeds, but more often than not, you won't. I did a factory reset, and that didn't make any difference.
So I rolled back my handset to B180, and everything was fine again - 4G worked flawlessly, and the world was good. At the weekend my phone told me B371 was available, so I did an OTA update, and we're back to the same thing. 3G is fine, 4G isn't - reboot, and you might be OK, but go home, and back into work the following day, and it doesn't work again.
So really frustrating, and all Honor have suggested is to roll back to B180 again.

It might be a bug in Marshmallow update, they need to compile the modem more properly in order to solve this issue. I don't have 4G in my area so can't test it for now, but after a couple of weeks maybe I will. Let's see how it goes for me. BTW have you tried it on any Custom ROMs?

If it helps, I'm on 3 UK as a network - I'm needing to check with them to see if they know of any issues with MM, as I saw on one of the official Honor forums they were validating the builds a couple of weeks ago for OTA. Mine was a Vmall purchase though.
No, I'm not one for playing around with ROMs really - I just keep an eye on the forums on XDA as they tend to be most informed on devices generally.

Can't get past "checking for updates" setup of android 9.0 on my S9+

Hello everyone,
Yesterday i updated my S9+ from Android 8.0 to Android 9.0. Now in the setup of android 9.0 it keeps on checking for updates and never goes past it. I have experienced this probably many times before when i would factory reset my mobile phones here in china. I have no idea how to fix it this time in my S9+. Back in the day in my old phones i would disconnect from Wifi, take out the sim and it would just skip the checking for updates part. Google and all related services are banned here in china maybe this is the reason it won't go past the checking for updates part since it connects to google servers to check for updates and google servers are banned in china in the first place? that's just my guess.
I'm currently in china due to studies and i'll be here for 2-3 more years so i'm gonna run into this problem a lot i think so If someone could tell me a way around it i would really appreciate it.
I apologize for my terrible English.
Try VPN on Android like lantern and you can use GMS. hope this can solve your problem.

Stopped receiving updates, even security related

Hello guys,
For the past 4 months, i haven't received a single update on the phone, and manually checking shows I am up to date.
The phone, however, is stuck on Android 10 with July security updates. Is there anyway I can manually update to Android 11, or force the phone to find the update?
I have tried clearing the cache from recovery and cache, data of the software update app.
Thanks!
Welcome to XDA
I make sure you really want Android 11... and all it screws up. 10 was the last good OS version before Google went scoped storage nuts. A fair amount of members here have rolled back to 10 after getting a taste of 11.
Unless you do something stupid the security risk you're taking is minimal. Just make sure (as you should be doing anyway) that all critical data is redundantly backed up to at least two hhds that are physically and electronically isolated from each other and the PC.
Rule #1- if a Android OS is running fast, stable and fulfilling its mission... let it be.
Thank you for your response. I get that maybe the new version is not that good, but I would still like to have the option to update!

Lots of issues with LG V600TM

Hi guys.
I'm quite new here so forgive me if I put the post in the wrong place.
Let me try to describe my issues with my phone.
A couple months ago I got a new LG V60 from my wife (brand new but without warranty).
The first problem I noticed after a few days was that the fingerprint scanner wasn't working properly. I mean everyone can unlock my phone after a few tries placing finger on the scanner at an angle.
When I try to unlock the phone by fingerprint it takes ages (it's very difficult to unlock the phone for the first time). I was trying remove saved fingerprint and create a new one but the problems is still there.
Another problem is with losing signal from satellites when using navigation. I was trying Google maps, Sygic and TomTom and it's look like the Google works best but there is still problem with signal, quite often I get information about 'searching position'.
Next one is that the phone is freeze sometimes and I have to restart it to work properly. It's happening around once a week.
I was trying hard reset but it didn't fix it, then I downloaded the original firmware with android 10. I don't know if it helped because I got lots of updates and it ended up on the Android 12 again. At the beginning of use after this operation the phone was working better but after a couple of weeks the same problems came back.
I'd like to add if I want to do a back up I get information like this "the required google certificate has been deleted". On Android 10 this information wasn't appearing.
Do you have guys any idea what's wrong with this phone?
Thank you in advance.

I also have the v600TM on Android 10. I have had no problems with the fingerprint except after the first time I unlocked the bootloader (see 1st post for the fix). I did not allow an update to Android 11 or 12. Maybe you should try the fingerprint on A10 for awhile before moving to 12.
Hopefully you don't have one of those Chinese refurbs pretending to be new!

Hi
Thank you for the reply.
Maybe you right and I should try to use the phone on android 10 and see if it's works properly. I'll see what happens.
Do you know when android 13 will be available for V60?
As a owner of the V30, V40 I'm really disappointed of the V60 now.

Hi,
You're welcome. When you are new to a forum or group, its like you are invisible.
My current main phone is the V30. The V60 has been more difficult than past phones to configure the way I want. When I installed TWRP a few months ago it was a DISASTER! Installing MicroG (to replace google play services) has also not worked out well. I have limited funds and I am beginning to wonder if the V60 was a good choice.
There is already an Android 13 beta for some versions of the V60.
The thing with V60 is that it is newer than V30. So a lot of fixes are not fully cooked. With LG gone from the scene, there is no incentive for developers to pursue it with any dedication. I don't know if TWRP will be fully built for this phone.

I do remember how slow the V30 was in the beginning. Now the V30 has a bunch of ROMs and an OFFICIAL LineageOS! I hope the V60 goes the same way. I doubt it, though.

Hi guys
It's me again with another problem
As for the above problems that I wrote about, I decided not to do anything about it for now and patiently wait for the android 13 update and see what happens.
How happy I was when two days ago I received the opportunity to download the update.
The joy did not last long, as it turned out that I'm unable to download the update.
Previously, I got information like 'The phone is being use and update will be downloaded later' (or something similar). Now the update downloads for a while and pops up 'Installation problem' and cannot be downloaded (always in the same time). I restarted the phone, deleted apps, changed from WiFi to mobile data and still the same.
Do you have guys any ideas what can I do with it?
As far as I know the phone is from US (T-mobile) and I live in the UK.
Thank you in advance for your help

When the phone is starting up (after being off or rebooting) it will say something like: This phone cannot be checked for corruption. Lock the bootloader.
If the bootloader is locked I suggest you backup before doing a factory reset.

Question New firmware 64.1.A.0.913

As I'm rooted, I have to manually check for updates via xperifirm. There was an upsated released: version 64.1.A.0.913.
Anybody updated and tested? Apparently camera apps have been updated! Any new features?
I wont get time to update yet, just thought I'd ask.
Thanks
Unless I'm mistaken, this update allows you to switch from android 12 to android 13
Huh we have android 13 for months now ...so i would say no .
Its for sure a security patch.
Chinese 72 got it 2 weeks ago , european 54 got it a week ago and US has to wait for another two weeks , i wish it would be all at the same time .
Hello,
The only feature I expericence since the upgraded is the "phone too hot warning" issue. I use the phone since late november without any trouble.
For the latest week, the phone displayed the orange warning sign and closed the camera app maybe 10 times. It couldn't even go through a 10 minutes google meet call...
It may not be related to the latest release, and I may be the only one having this issue...

Yeah, you're right about security patch. Thought perhaps something has trickled down from the new phone releases, like improved camera apps as they have changed their version numbers. Thanks

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I will update in a few days and see if I have the same issue. Though tbh, I havent had as many issues as some have, perhaps because of root and cleaning up some bloat and adding in adblockers etc.
You should do a full all apps cache wipe and see if that helps.

I had overheating problems with meet and 5g i was outside but on older different firmware.
You also have to understand now its summer time (probably in your country too) so you cant really compare november temperatures with current ones unless you did that in room with AC on.
I'm on the latest US version so still waiting for our update for this cycle. But since my last update, the phone has been very warm to the touch during normal use and I've seen the heat warning many times while using camera. I have never seen it before. Battery life is crap now too and used to be fantastic. Maybe you guys lucked out last month and the US version got whatever it was to cause the heating issues first? My last update was around 300mb so it was bigger that usual I think.
