You need to install ADB and Fastboot on your PC(find install guide on Google or YouTube)

"After fastboot flash boot_ab chopin-los-rec.img"Type "fastboot reboot" and immediately keep holding the Vol + (do not release), it will get into recovery ,
Once it is in recovery mode, continue step 2, format it.
Then step 3.....
"fastboot reboot recovery" does not work, it show error, just ignore this command.

now that I am using sdk platform tools, I don't receive unknown reboot target recovery, however fastboot reboot recovery leads to bootloop.

Okay fixed by doing these, idk which one has fixed the issue;
1-installing 12.5.7 global fastboot rom
2-enabling usb tethering and file transfer
3-charging my phone from %20 to %50
4-adding environmental variable path of adb platform tools

Rom is fast and working well. However my issue of noise reduction still continues. When talking on 3rd party like whatsapp, google duo, discord (not default phone app), other person hears me like I am under water if we talk at the same time, or a sound comes from my speakers. Can you test this?
Noise cancellation too sensitive
Noise cancellation too sensitive to spoil user experience on video call and in game talk. When there's music, video or external noise happen, ppl on the other side not able to hear me. Say I sound like under water. Anyone encountered this issue...

I have only tried flashing fastboot roms with fastboot. Should I give updating firmware a try? Does it matter or flashing fastboot already changes firmware too?

[rom] aosp 5.1.1 ale-l21

Alright, I don't really want to do this, since the rom is not finished yet but I need help and I thought that releasing it would attract developers, so here it is, the first rom for our P8 Lite (ALE-L21)
Current Status: Developer Preview
The rom is at an early development stage, since I don't have enough time to figure out how to make RIL work.
Just flash the rom if you know what you are doing, it isn't stable or functional, it's just a preview, and a waste of time if you don't know how to do things properly.
What works:
Audio
Camera
Wifi
Most apps
Some other things
What DOESN'T work:
NFC
Bluetooth (It used to work, however it's not my priority)
RIL (3G , 2G, GPRS...)
GPS (I haven't tested it but I guess it isn't working)
Playing some kind of media files
How to install it:
Wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation
Flash boot and system.img via fastboot.
Download
Remember to backup everything before flashing, I am not responsible of Data loss, phone bricking, or whatever.
Device Source: https://github.com/XePeleato/android_device_huawei_p8lite_alel21
Kernel source: https://github.com/XePeleato/android_ALE-L21_kernel
We need some help over there, so if you want to help and are skilled in Java, drop a message.
I also want to thank everyone who helped me on Github.
I guess that's it, if anyone could move this to the development section it would be really nice.
Have a nice day!
info
any screenshots maybe? im happy that someone is working on rom for this phone
Hello...
This ROM is also compatible with model ALE-L02 and L23?
Thank y!
Hello @XePeleato that compilation must be to install?
Enviado desde mi hi6210sft mediante Tapatalk
Awesome, I've been following your development on GitHub. Very happy with your progress!
Keep it going, as soon as you get RIL working, I'll get it on my phone. Can't stand this EMUI thing.
Either way, thank you for your great work and best of luck!
I do not know exactly how I installed . Can you explain in detail ?
Did you see this HiKey board? (Google for it I still can't post links to external pages :\ ) There is full documentation about Kirin 620 and even a Android port with USB OTG support (of course source is open). May be you try to enable USB OTG?

4. Open a cmd terminal (shift + right click)
5. Download the TWRP recovery 3.0 that XePeleato made from his github (sorry I can't post links yet)

7. Place the recovery.img from the recovery zip to the folder where you opened the terminal (platform-tools)
8. Now write in cmd: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
9. Write in cmd: fastboot reboot recovery
10. DO A COMPLETE BACKUP (that's important)
11. Now download the ROM and place the system.img and the boot.img of the .zip in the same folder as before.
12. Write in cmd: fastboot flash boot boot.img
13. Write in cmd: fastboot flash system system.img
14. Write in cmd: fastboot reboot recovery
15. Now in recovery select wipe > advanced wipe and select data and cache

That's it, hope it works.
If you share screenshots to see the pre-appearance, I'm totally interested in this project.

thats true didnt realize diferences, I just saw "rom" not aosp
@XePeleato I guess RIL can be fixed by some dirty hacks on binaries.
I worked before on Xperia devices (CMs, AOSPs, ports) but maybe I can help a bit.
Hi all,
I have this device since saturday and i noticed that there is a sririous lack of aosp roms.
Since i'm not very far with my Java skills i wanted to know if there are peoople willing to join up and develope a custom ROM flashable tru twrp.
Those are my ideas, anybody in ?
Greetings,
Justin.

Only reason one would stay away from Pixel experience is a lack of Vanilla versions and forced Gapps being shoved down people's throats. Otherwise I've only heard great things about PE everywhere.

Can we use havoc-os recovery to flash this? Also what's different in this compared to official PixelExperience for oneplus 8t? Is there an advantage of using this over the official build?
Is it Plus edition?
Sorry to bother, but does anyone know this error :
It seems that the device doesnt have enough space to resize, so i attempted factory reset + attempted the install steps manually ( currently using PE Rom installer ), and the same issue exists when flashing system.
Thanks.
Seems like the output files from payload dumper are extremely large

I just have same problem with you.First I suggest you ignore it,just do the followed commands. Then enter the recovery mode.Use the factory reset(what's means wipe data).reboot it,and you'll find it can't boot or it will enter fastboot.Don't worry about that.Enter fastboot(or it boot fastboot automatically) and do the followed commands again. You can find the command-line don't report errors.Lastly, enter recovery mode and do the factory reset. The phone will boot normally.

I remember i had this same problem with the older version of this rom.
Somehow it was fixed from some procedure like you mentioned.
Currently it is not working.
I guess i will just continue using havoc for now
thanks for your help! much appreciated!
EDIT: weirdly enough, this works for the older build? I'm so confused lol
Update : I flashed OP8T pixel experience on this device, including OP8T TWRP.
the process for This rom(when i last tried, before installing OP8T PE ) still failed.
a lot of weird **** and weird QualComm errors and i decided to run msmtool.
Held power button + vol up (thinking it would throw me out of the fastboot loop after the OP8T PE rom install)
but lo and behold, this just sent me into system LOL
Im not sure, but is this correct? (the device name being Oneplus 8T)
Yet, the build number seems to align correctly with THIS Rom
PixelExperience_lemonades-11.0-20210901-0343-UNOFFICIAL
Im not even sure what i did, but its working LOL.

Precautions
1. To reduce the risk of version upgrade, it is recommended to back up personal data before upgrading.
2. During the software upgrade process, the temperature of the mobile phone may increase slightly for a short time, and it will quickly return to normal after the upgrade is completed, which is a normal phenomenon.
3. If you encounter any problems during use, please contact the official customer service for feedback or consultation.
The "Rotation" app no longer works for me since this update. Does anyone else have this problem?
Can you elaborate on ""Rotation"?
No more wifi calling option
It seems that after the update, wifi calling is gone. I installed android studio and tried to enable it through the below adb commands, but couldn't get the device to be recognized in recovery mode. Its showing unauthorized in recovery mode.
1) Enable developer options in the phone and enable debugging mode, change to MTP connection
2) adb devices ->its showing the device named attached
3) adb reboot fastboot -> phone is rebooted and shows the language option
4) fastboot reboot recovery -> rebooting into recovery, finished
5) adb devices -> showing unauthorized
Does anyone know how to enter the recovery mode in this phone?

Thanks, Tim-2.0. However, if I use that way to enter recovery mode, I cannot get my device shown up in adb commands.
Using the adb commands to reboot the device and triggered the recovery mode, adb devices show "unauthorized", so I cannot proceed to do the adb shell command.

I tried factory reset already and it didn’t work. I guess there is nothing that can be done because there is nowhere to download the firmware for this phone. Hopefully, the next update will fix this issue.
I’ve seen Firmware is available on ROMdevelopers. BUT it’s required official login to flash.
(Login can get from service Center guy or guy who do remotely)
On another thread, someone was able to download a firmware for the phone.

Given the pain of trying to make this phone somewhat functional and something that resembles the level of customisation that I am used to I am thinking I might attempt to root my device. I am pretty sure by doing so I can get Android Auto...
forum.xda-developers.com
Maybe you can take a look on it and download the firmware.
Is there any way to bring wifi calling and volte back ????
I lost them since I updated my device.
Any advice??

Install PixelExperience on brambleWARNING: I copy and pasted thes instuctions. Please go to the offical guide for your device Bramble https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/barbet/install/
WARNING: These instructions only work if you follow every section and step precisely.
Do not continue after something fails!
Basic requirements
Read through the instructions at least once before actually following them, so as to avoid any problems due to any missed steps!
Make sure your computer has adb and fastboot. Setup instructions can be found here.
Enable USB debugging on your device.
warning
WARNING: Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is on the latest Android 12 firmware.
This is not necessarily the newest available version! Please up- or downgrade to the required version before proceeding (guides can be found on the internet!).
Flashing the vendor boot partitionwarning
WARNING: This platform requires the vendor boot partition to be flashed for recovery to work properly, the process to do so is described below.
Download this vendor_boot.img file.
Power off the device, and boot it into bootloader mode:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power.
Flash a the downloaded images to your device by typing (replace <vendor_boot> with the actual filename!):
fastboot flash vendor_boot <vendor_boot>.img
Unlocking the bootloaderinfo_outline
NOTE: The steps below only need to be run once per device.
warning
WARNING: Unlocking the bootloader will erase all data on your device! Before proceeding, ensure the data you would like to retain is backed up to your PC and/or your Google account, or equivalent. Please note that OEM backup solutions like Samsung and Motorola backup may not be accessible from PixelExperience once installed.
Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
Connect the device to your PC via USB.
On the computer, open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type:
adb reboot bootloader
You can also boot into fastboot mode via a key combination:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power.
Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC finds it by typing:
fastboot devices
If you don’t get any output or an error:
on Windows: make sure the device appears in the device manager without a triangle. Try other drivers until the command above works!
on Linux or macOS: If you see no permissions fastboot try running fastboot as root. When the output is empty, check your USB cable and port!
Now type the following command to unlock the bootloader:
fastboot flashing unlock
info_outline
NOTE: At this point the device may display on-screen prompts which will require interaction to continue the process of unlocking the bootloader. Please take whatever actions the device asks you to to proceed.
If the device doesn’t automatically reboot, reboot it. It should now be unlocked.
Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging to continue.
Temporarily booting a custom recovery using fastboot
Download the PixelExperience Recovery. Simply download the latest recovery file.
Connect your device to your PC via USB.
When the output is empty, check your USB cable (preferably use a USB Type-A 2.0 one or a USB hub) and port!
check
TIP: Some devices have buggy USB support while in bootloader mode, if you see fastboot hanging with no output when using commands such as fastboot getvar ... , fastboot boot ..., fastboot flash ... you may want to try a different USB port (preferably a USB Type-A 2.0 one) or a USB hub.
Temporarily flash a recovery on your device by typing (replace <recovery_filename> with the actual filename!):
fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img
info_outline
NOTE: Outdated fastboot releases dropped legacy A/B support, so it might attempt to flash to boot__a / boot__b rather than boot_a / boot_b if you try to flash boot. In this case, you must update fastboot to a release newer than or equal to 31.0.2. Alternatively, you can manually specify which slot to flash to based on what slot fastboot failed to flash to. For example, if fastboot fails to flash to boot__a, you must flash to boot_a.
Installing PixelExperience from recovery
Download the PixelExperience installation package that you would like to install or build the package yourself.
If you are not in recovery, reboot into recovery:
With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power. Then use the menu to select Recovery Mode.
Now tap Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process. This will remove encryption and delete all files stored in the internal storage, as well as format your cache partition (if you have one).
Return to the main menu.
Sideload the PixelExperience .zip package:
On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload filename.zip.
check
TIP: Normally, adb will report Total xfer: 1.00x, but in some cases, even if adb: failed to read command: Success/No error. In some cases it will report adb: failed to read command: No error or adb: failed to read command: Undefined error: 0 which is also fine.
Once you have installed everything successfully, click the back arrow in the top left of the screen, then “Reboot system now”.
info_outline
NOTE: The first boot usually takes no longer than 15 minutes, depending on the device. If it takes longer, you may have missed a step, otherwise feel free to get assistance
check
TIP: If the installation process reports the message "(~47%) adb: failed to read the command: No error", do not worry, the process was completed successfully and you can restart the device.

I am not using GPay or anything related, so I cannot say if it works or not. Besides I am rooted with Magisk, but using Denylist for all Banking/Work related apps. No issue with that.
In general, all is working well same as the stock rom, with few additional customizations example for statusbar etc. Battery life seems comparable to stock rom too. The face unlock is a bit slow, like you need to hold about 2 seconds before it really detects your face, but maybe it is the 4a5g hardware itself not officially being supported for faceunlock.

Hi, thanks for the heads up. I just wanted to know why if I try to install the latest recovery, I get bootloops
I kinda figured it out.
I had to go back to the older vendor_boot and boot images (from 12) in order to reboot into recovery. So that means that there is a problem with either the latest vendor or boot . Anyway, I could flash the zip with the oldest recovery and it's working pretty fine out of the box. Later I will tell you how it goes.

High refresh rate working?
The updater function is not working.
Fingerprint sensor is not detecting finger, keeps saying lift and re touch again.
120 fps working finger print is working with latest firmware SCG01KDU1CVG3. try to flash latest stock firmware which is mentioned above and try again.
@pratheepdx bro I have installed the latest files as mentioned still fingerprint is not working. and when I go into the updater option it crashes for some reason. The fingerprint is very crucial and if possible please fix it..

Do you have tempered glass for your screen or something else? its happens to me as well even with Stock Firmware once removed the issue was resolved for me I've verified that the Pixel GSI Android 13 Fingerprint works without any issue and Android 12 GSI Face Unlock and fingerprint both function flawlessly.
Does this work on s20 ultra snapdragon G9880 ?
Does it support Adaptive brightness? cause I can't find it in the settings.
