Flash Counter stays at 1

No matter how many times I reset it with Triangle Away, the flash counter stays at 1.
My phone build is 4.0.4 IMM76D.I9300XXBLH1. I flash it with the latest stock rom 4.1.2 I9300DXELK1 and then root it and triangle away it but still the flash counter stays at 1 although when I flash it the custom binary and phone status is stated as official. Only the flash counter that bugs me =/
I need my phone at its fresh to be return.

Do you have custom recovery installed? They can cause flash counter to stay at 1 no matter how many times you reset it.

Reroot the phone, use Triangle Away to reset the counter. Flash stock rom and after booting do a data/factory reset in settings, backup and restore. That`s it
Have you done a factory reset?

That will not reset the counter to 0. Only TA can do that.

I'll do that but what do you mean about backup and restore? Is it in recovery mode?
Also, I've encountered looping boot screen before. It stucks at Samsung logo but I managed to flash it .. again. lol! No idea what caused it.

Yes, I understand that. But if there's any root stuff hanging around, a wipe and reflash of stock should sort it out.

No, go into settings and you will see Backup and Restore, hit that and at the bottom you will see reset data/factory settings. Hit that and after reboot status will say Normal in About the Phone current status.
Flash counter stays at 1?
That happens with the new bootloader. If you have a custom recovery and/or kernel installed.

All of the firmwares I downloaded at sammobile. I have already flash stock recovery back and it used to be able to reset back to 0 but after I flash firmware from sammobile. Wait... Does that mean firmwares at sammobile are customized?

No, they are original stock.Flashing this with Odin will not raise the counter. Only a custom (CWM or TWRP) recovery or a kernel flashed with Odin will raise the counter.

Uhm, did all that but the flash counter still at 1.
Custom Binary Download : Yes (1 counts)
Current Binary : Samsung Official.
Phone Status : Official.
Maybe Triangle Away doesn't work on Indonesian firmware? But if I flash other countries' stock firmware, will the store accept it? lol
do you have a red exclamation mark in the top left corner when you go into download mode?

You rerooted, used TA to reset the counter, flashed stock and did a factory reset after it booted and still the count is 1! Impossible mate i would say. Did it last week myself.

@mikep99 : Nope, I think it used to have one when my phone is rooted. I didn't notice in this confusion.
@gee2012 : Let's see, my firmware and recovery is indeed stock. Rooted? Yes, superuser/superSU works fine. Install Triangle Away, download the required data and then run it. Before I re-flash my phone, I check in download mode. The flash counter didn't change at all. Either way, I flash it back with the same build in Odin. Go to Settings, Back up and reset and do Factory data reset. Check in download mode again... Still at 1. I'll have to confirm if I9300XXBLH1_I9300OLBBLH1_I9300DXLH1_HOME.tar.md5 works with Triangle Away =/

As masterex567 said, you probably have the new bootloader installed which can also cause flash counter to stick to 1. More info on how to reset it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083860

I'd like to try the first method. Could anyone teach me how to do the commands?
EDIT : Nevermind, it's as masterex567 said, it's bootloader problem. Here's what I did :
1. Re-root it.
2. Flash CWM recovery via Odin.
3. Flash Restore_Bootloader_XXBLFB.zip via CWM recovery.
4. Run Triangle Away (It works now! The flash counter finally reset back to 0)
5. Re-flash stock recovery via Odin.
6. Re-flash stock rom via Odin.
7. Finally do a factory reset and... I'm done!

Reset flash counter without triangle away? I9300

Hi everyone, I'm facing a serious problem now.
The motherboard of my device has spoilt. But when I send in to warranty they rejected as I've root my s3. It stuck at the boot screen when I switched it on. I've tried to flash the stock firmware but no avail. I know triangle away can fix the flash count. But I couldn't even switch on my device. Is there any alternative to reset the flash count and unroot my device using pc? Probably Odin or other software. Or reset it using any .zip file in CWM recovery mode? I seriously need your help. Thank you very much!

If you can boot into Download or Recovery then your phone is only soft brick, you have several options to recover it - the most expensive would be to send it to service.
Search, read and learn in general forum stickies.

Root the phone with CF-Root 6.4, so you have CWM, then use triangle away and the megawipe zip file on CWM, then install a stock rom.
You should be then 100 Stock with binary counter on 0

[Q] GT-I9505 Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.

Hi,
I was trying to reinstall the Stock Samsung Firmware 02U 5.0.1 using Odin and I would get a Pit error so I downloaded the file and would still get another error so I decided to reboot, instead of the device getting stuck on the glowing Samsung splash screen it goes straight to the error

Much help greatly appreciated.

Mega 6.3 I9205

I flashed vcorerootv2 via Odin and found out that I accidentally update my old stock ROM (MH2) to updated ROM (CNA3) which has a KNOX (from Philippines). Then most features including Wi-Fi are not working and when I decide to download and flash the stock ROM (CNA3) just to go back to normal, now it stuck in Samsung logo and it says:
Security Fail: Kernel.
I tried flashing custom recovery but I can't still access to recovery (security fail: kernel). Only in download mode.
Sounds bricked and trigged KNOX warranty void. But I just can't find how to get rid of this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Product Name: GT I9205
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
KNOX Kernel Lock: 0xfffffffc
KNOX Warranty Void: 0xfffffffc
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable
Bootloader RP SWREV: 1

I've tried. But to no avail. Still prompted as secure fail: kernel.
I messed up with kernel I think. But I still consider this as a soft bricked since I can still access to download mode. So I assumed there's any chance to get back this to normal.
