I wonder when will European model get support. Shame that the company discriminates it's users basing on the region, even though we paid more.

They don't. They are 3 separate teams. While the Chinese and US teams skip numbers (B32? A little bit too much?) our team doesn't. i meant that as proof that they aren't the same team.
Also, if the Chinese version gets O and ours stops being supported, we can just make a custom ROM and install it on our phones. I'm using MiFavor 5 right now on my G
MiFavor 5.2 android 8.0: A short video posted by the same user on 4pda.
I think Axon 8 or 9, whatever they will call it will be next year and we will see Oreo on all A7 variants. It's in ZTE's best interest to get Oreo out and try to keep owners happy and start building some brand loyalty to keep us from buying something else before the next Axon flagship.

The Moto G6 Plus has been getting custom ROMs thanks to our developer
@erfanoabdi (who does not even own this device).
Without him None of this would be possible.
We wanted to donate him this device, but sadly he doesn't have enough
time to support it. Instead he set us up with a Friend of his, Recognized
Developer @rahulsnair.
Rahul is a Recognized lineage developer who also has a large history with
Motorola Phones. Check out the first post in the thread where he'll list some of his work.
Moto G6 Plus has the attention of our developer @erfannobdi but has passed his Development

I created a PayPal money pool to collect the needed money:

What a great community! Love seeing tech enthusiast work together helping one another! As non-plus G6 user I'll definitely be contributing to this effort as it may lead to development for non-plus G6.
I'd also encourage other non-plus G6 users to contribute as well.

I'd also encourage other plus users to contribute to non-plus G6 donations as well....ya know, since we're crossing boarders and all ?... *Cheers* To bridging the gap!
Great to see this set up - thank you I've donated, due to the hope we see more custom ROM development for the G6 Plus (natively 64 bit OS and drivers from what I recall), and because of rahulsnair's excellent previous work on the G4 Plus Lineage OS official build. Here's hoping for a long life for the G6 Plus and the rest of the G6 family

It's not Moto g6+ but I have an extra Moto g6 play that I'm literally willing to give to any developer.
I want to thank all of you guys. Without help collaboration between developers along with community would be near impossible.

I don't want our developer to give up on our development. Without this device in the hands of our developer, we are stuck. We have a ways to go on donations. Chip in a bit to continue our progress. It helps the entire community.
Our developer's are well known throughout this community helping all of us..
I look forward to what can potentially be accomplished with this line of Moto.
I would like to chip in for this however Paypal Money Pool's are not available in my country so I can't contribute to it. Is there another way I can contribute to this fund?
If I send a paypal transfer to @rahulsnair can to be associated with this?

That would be awesome! I just recently bought the "international" version from Amazon which I guess is the "brazillian" model XT1922-5 and need root on the latest firmware OPP27.91.87. The Play is about half the price of the Plus through Amazon. I'm willing to donate towards the Play device also.
Of course

New Invicta OS for moto g6 plus??! ?
I was under the impression that the Moto g6 plus worked flawlessly with GSIs, wheras the play and (g6) worked for the most part (except for some quirks with Bluetooth audio playback). Regardless I'll pitch 25$ twords fixing the gsi Bluetooth issue with ALI

Invicta? What does that mean? Either way this is not a promised step forward. It has potential but is. Not a gautentee.

Invicta was a popular custom ROM built for the Moto G4/Plus, based on lineage os but patched specifically for the G4/plus; unfortunately, the developer, Silesh Nair, ceased development on the project some time ago. I'm guessing that member is hoping that a similar project may arise if lineage OS is fully operating on the G6 device family.
For reference: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-t3693479
I can`t undestand - Moto G6 Plus is fully trebled device - why you don`t try GSI treble ROMs?

What makes a custom rom development possible?

Tittle says it all. Why pocophone as soon as september 2018 already had custom roms avaiable here on XDA and other phones such as Mi 9, S10, V20 almost 3 months since launch doesn't have any?
What makes it possible to develop custom OS and ported OS?
I really wanted to purchase a Mi 9 but MIUI is absolutely unbearable. Will miss so much OOS for Poco F1
Edit: Is it a long way to learn how to port ROMs, GSI to the point i can develop my own OOS for my desired phone?
It's about how popular the device gets. Pocophone is indeed very popular due do having flagship SOC for a very low price compared to Flagship phones. Also, Xiaomi made Source Code available literally after the phone launched. Good price, source code, popularity, attracts the developers.
Also, why do you miss OOS? It's still alive and being updated. Beta version for example. You just need to join their VIP section for some cheap monthly price and you're gonna get updates regularly according to the OOS dev for Poco.

Sorry buddy i wasn't very clear. I am using OOS and if i move to another device such as Mi 9 i will miss it so much.
I really wish to know the best way to understand my android system so i could tweak it to my likings.
Buy a pixel/OnePlus and you will have countless roms to play

Custom Roms development

Hello for developers,
Why the mi 10 umi lacks such a development ,which was for Mi midrangers....
Also Mi has released the kernel sources for mi 10 /pro in Feb 2020...
Is this sign of lack of developers not interested in this device
If any developers read this, pls do post their work.
And I am sure, you ll be credited for that..
First a proper Twrp page is required and it should be updated...
And I know, rather than unstable lot of custom roms,a single stable rom is best.
But Magisk,Audio mods, are all the next level of the mobile...
I guess its because of the price of the device. Most people would rather buy OnePlus if they have to pay a lot for a phone.

Dnt know why....Mi 10 is really a well balanced smartphone, eventhough people are stick brand name.....
My friend had OnePlus 6t,Mic has gone and another no network signals automatically, bcz of rf transmitter failure.
Hope some developers had received Mi 10 /pro from Mi.

Vivo System and Security update Frequency??

Biggest drawback of Vivo mobile devices are its lack of system (Android and Funtouch bug fixes) and security updates OTA delivery compare to other brands (Realme, MI, Samsung,..)
Is there anything we can do to **PUSH** Vivo to make them accountable to provide better and faster software updates????
Due to this Vivo devices gets out dated too soon in market... And you end up looking for another brand device.
Unfortunately, Vivo does not realise this hampers there own brand value.
Thia was one of the biggest reason I moved away / refrain buying Huawei and specially Lenovo, LG, Motorola phones as all of them had very poor after sale software update Frequency..

I did some more research and seems Funtouch has improved a lot in terms of experience and ease of usage. Still require some quirks clean-up
However, X50 and X50 pro updates were very slow
So, if you buy Vivo's latest and greatest phone running on Funtouch or Android 11 there is no guarantee you will get Android 12 ( or on time). I couldn't find, on Vivo official site update release plan list anywhere.
Also what is the story of Origin OS ?? How Vivo's development team focusing on improving Funtouch or Origin OS??
