Question Best Display settings - Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus

Hi All!!
Hope everyone is doing well. I recently bought S22+ and it's a nice phone.
Coming to the point, I see that there is nothing much about display option. Just Natural and Vivid. Wanted to know what settings should be made in RGB mode to make it even better. Currently, I am using Vivid mode with cool setting and with full RGB.
If you folks can share your phone display settings, it will be great !!
Thanks !!

Am also using Vivid, as it's the one that looks the best IMO, that's also the stock setting IIRC.

Yup. The stock settings looks great though.

[Q] Disabling screen sharpening

Hi,
I'm kind new to SGS2, coming from a Milestone background with mostly CM roms (kabaldan is an amazing XDA member!)... it's a very different world indeed... =]
Right now, I got my SGS2 for 2 days, already rooted with CF and just returned to stock KE4 kernel to compare/test battery life and other stuff before choosing a kernel to stick... I'm liking the device a lot, it is powerful and compact, maybe it could replace my standalone music player too (O2)... but one thing really catch my eye in the device's screen and it is hard to ignore, the screen sharpening that happens in the, otherwise beautiful, samoled+ screen... is there any way to disable this "feature". I know many of you may like it, so I'm all for choices, but specially working with feature films and images/display background, this kind of effect (sharpen) really bothers me.
So, if anyone has any info about changing/disabling this effect, I would really appreciate.
Tks.

[8.9] 2 Serious Issues with my new 8.9 - Screen and WiFi

I have a 10.1 Tab and just got the 8.9, because I REALLY like the size better. the bummer is that the screen is so much... dingier... than the 10.1. the white is like a very light yellow/brown. Not a pure, crystal, white like the 10.1. I went back to Best Buy and compared it with the floor model and its the same. On its own it looks fine3, and if you didn't know any better, you might be OK with it, but maybe I;m spoiled. I hear there's an app called Voodoo that can tweak that - I hope so.
The second problem is another deal-breaker; I can;t tether to my Android phone. Yet my 10.1 connects and works great. The 8.9 connects, but doesn't work.
I'm still on 3.1, so I'm hoping 3.2 fixes that, but when I was on 3.1 with the 10.1, I had no problems, so I don't hold much hope here. Has anyone else had problems with tethering to their phone? I have a rooted HTC Incredible 2 running OpenGarden. Works great for all my devices - except the 8.9.
Thanks!!!
my 8.9 also screen yellowish in color. If i turn off the power saving, the screen become better. But normally I prefer longer battery than color screen.
Have you accidentally changed the display mode? Mine is set to normal but the movie mode does give it the tint you mention; dynamic is a very bright normal setting.

Whoa - I never noticed this setting. Unfortunately, I don't have the 8.9 in front of me, but I will check this asap. Thanks!
assuming you're running ad-hoc on the tethering and that you're 10.1 is rooted with a custom rom the possible reason would be that your wpa_supplicant file needs to be updated. alterbridge has it added to his rom. if you're running stock and have no need for custom roms you can replace the wpa file from alterbridge's rom or if someone has it pulled they can upload it here. i don't have access right now to do it myself... only so much goofing off you can do at work, lol.
I checked the 8.9 screen mode- its set to Normal. None of the settings make it look as bright as the 10.1. Attached is a picture showing them side by side. The 10.1 is a lot easier to read, for me - but my eyes suck.

Well... the picture doesn't come close to doing it justice. Trust me, it's harder to read because it's got a yellow cast to it - similar to what you get on a Sony Tab.

Have just looked at every thread in questions and cant find anything usefull about this issue i would like to know if i should exchange my device and insist on one with proper whites if they exist or if everyone has this problem and i will just get another one with the same issue
I notice this and me too was to compare this with my wife ipad2 notice specially the browser was yellowish but if the brightness is high it turn white. I had the same with my Galaxy S2 but in the settings you can change the screen scenario (CM10.1). For the browser I use UC Browser, you can set the brightness for the browser a bit higher to make the white more white.

Just downloaded and used screen adjuster from play store and set blue to 11 and yellow tint is gone with that setting whites are nearly pure white so i will keep device as im sure it will be sorted in a rom at some point
A few days I also tried Screen Adjuster, but meh! it's not good.
Slows everything down.
Try scrolling in a good (!) browser (i.e. not Chrome) without Screen Adjuster - buttery smooth and fast. Then activate Screen adjuster and see lags all over the place.
I f I wanted that I could remain with my old Acer A700...
Another issue is that Screen Adjuster is not running all the time; when you start an app, you will sometimes see that S.A. kicks in only a bit later.
There are screen calibration apps by Sony built-in in certain smartphones, also the Xperia Z. So there is hope (and we users must insist) that Sony releases such an app for the Tablet Z in the near future...
for that to happen we need a forum that people from Sony will see and read .........

There exists such a forum HERE.
So is it hardware or software? Any ideas?
You can flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190293 and use the white balance from the Z / ZL phones, shows up then under Display

Yep, works fine ! I have a 16GB Wifi, on 370 rooted, UB. Same setting as I have on my Xperia Z for white balance.

that sounds great did install that on my experia z will give it a go and would appreciate if you could you tell me what settings you use.
Each display is different - so you have to try for yourself.
My display has a yellowish-greenish tint; saturation=7.5 and color=209 works quite well for me.
(Thanks for the tip, by the way!)

Android Phones with manual focus

Hello everyone,
during the past days I was at home and there was a guy who had a Nokia Lumia Phone with Windows on it. I need to say if there would have been Android on the phone I probably would have ordered the phone immediately. The camera on the phone was so amazing I was really impressed!! The pictures were clear and sharp, colors very nice and the best thing was he could set up everything I know from professional cameras: Exposure, Shutter Speed, ISO-Level and even MANUAL focus. It was probably the best mobile phone camera I have ever seen.
Now I really want a phone like that. I really even thought about if I could arrange myself with Windows but I can't. So are there any Android phones that can nearly the same? Is there any phone offering such settings?
Thanks!!
Cheers

I don't know about Shutter Speed, but LG G2 has Manual Focus feature. :good:
Exposure and ISO-Level is almost available on every android phone these days.
Thanks
My Optimus 2x has manual focus (when running official Gingerbread 2.3). It worked really well, but I think that would be too old for you.

two redmi 3 screens, and newbie question(s)

So i got myself two redmi 3 from china. one in GREY one in SILVER both with Chinese MIUI with option to select (only) English.
turning them on and installing Play Store (with a tutorial) and a few usual google apps and changing the browser away from the default one to another one made the phones useful (installed apps, defaults).
comparing the two phones I noticed a difference in the screens. the GREY's version has more a "red" tone to it, while the SILVER's has a "blueish" tone. I checked all the warm/cold color, automatic brightness and readmode options. the screens are different. I havent decided which one i find worse but they are both pretty bad compared with the redmi note 2 full HD screen i had before (2ghz, 16gb).
how can I find out what screen models are in those phones? I heard they are supplied by JDI, a japanese jointventure. Is it possible to find it out in the serial numbers? thanks in advance.
btw. there is no official "multilanguage" - ROM out yet as far as I know, it is supposed to come out around 10th of march.. will it be possible to flash it through the "MIUI PC SUITE" without rooting or other difficulties involved? thanks again!
I received my xiaomi today and the rom was mutlilanguage even if all the traduction were not great (i'm french). I don't know what rom it was because I flashed it whith a prerooted rom in english.
I think you will be able to flash the new official rom without difficulties when it comes.
Hello darkwark. as far as i know there are 2 different panels used in production of Redmi 3.
You can check wich one your units have using Engineer Menu *#*#6484#*#* it is also very helpful for other things like quick testing all phone features.
As far the quality of the panel, i agree it is not great, my main complain is very poor blacks. However when you consider price of the phone (110$ in china) i think it is amazing for that budget.
many thanks!
so the one is:
LCD
nt35521s_HD720p_video_EBBG
TP
EBBG,ist30xx_HD,FW:12,Black
other one
LCD
hx8394F_HD720p_video_BOE
TP
BIEL_HD,FT5336,FW:0x27,White
i agree they are cheap and great, also the battery is very satisfying compared to the redmi note 2. the battery life was not great. but the screen was wow!

Could you please take a picture of both devices side by side so we could compare the differences?
After reading many posts in MIUI forums it seems that BOE (JDI) is a better display than EBBG (Foxconn) with brighter, more realistic colors and maybe efficiency.
Thanks in advance!
