Question Unbrick OnePlus Nord 20 - OnePlus Nord N20 5G

I was trying to bypass Google FRP lock on this phone, after having no success, I went online looking and downloaded Rom2Box to try to bypass frp.. When I was trying to get the program to discover my device, nothing happened, it never discovered it, but while it was attempting to discover it, my phone had a black screen with a red dot and 2 smaller white dots moving around the red dot in a circle pattern while bumping off of each other.. I don't know what it means, I never saw it before.. .. Now it won't turn on, or show that it's being charged so I think this program bricked my phone..?
I guess I'd like to give Odin a shot at fixing it for me.. But I don't know Odin, I never messed with phone's like this.. Is, this my best or only option?

Try MSM Tool

@Princess007 I've got the newest ROMt2Box .. if you need it.

Trying to extract boot.img and patch with Magisk

I can pull a rooted super and should have those already actually but if your system is not already magisk patched then you will not be able to boot. I have lost the stock July somewhere in all my backups but I'm willing to pull the boot and super for you if you need it. It is already RW system

this usually happens because some component of your device is not loading due to either mismatched security pacthes, some system partition has been altered and cannot load or one of many other reasons. i have a device that works perfectly fine and boots with this oneplus logo rather than the tmobile splash that it used to boot with. for me this was caused by mixing components from different systems. i had to flash matching radios, boot, and system, vbmeta disabled to get the device to function with mismatched partitions but the only thing thats still not working is the tmobile splash, which i dont miss and have no desire to try to fix that so i have been running this device in that state for months with 0 problems other than when one of my mods breaks the system and i just have to undo whatever i modified and im back to a functioning state. thedot with 2 dots bouncing around it is fine so long as everything else works, just means that something in vendor is probably different than what it expects so that part doesnt load or some other partition..... disabling verity and verification can usually get me booting again if this happens whether everything else works and is important to you is your decision to fix it or not. going back stock should fix it all. best thing to do if ur gonna mod is make sure u pull backups of EVERY single partition on the device so you have matching images. would suck to lose efs partitions because they are unique and the only people that can get those back for you is the manufacturer

i recommend using partitions backup & restore from playstore. its free and you can pull all of your partitions for restoring in the future. i recommend setting the options to save as raw(.img) rather than archives and then after it pulls all of them, compress them all into one archive. this will save you from having to extract each image from 100 different archives if you need to do a full restore in the future. best of luck and thanks for your contribution

[GUIDE] Fix Fingerprint Scanner with "corrupt" persist in 15 minutes!

Omg, I've been messing with this thing for 2 months trying to fix it, all because I didn't take a backup of my /persist as soon as I got the phone, but there is a way to fix it!!! The only pre-requisites are that:
A) you still have your own /persist (that came with your specific phone, didn't overwrite it with one from the forums and didn't save your original somewhere) AND
B) all sensors still work (only the fingerprint scanner is broken) AND
C) that you have NEVER ran the hidden fingerprint calibration tools accessible from *#808# (unless you have a backup of /persist from before you did that)
Follow these simple instructions and enjoy:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8/how-to/guide-fix-persist-img-loss-finger-print-t4126455
You can ignore the entire part about having to run the MSM tool to roll back to a previous version of OOS (Step 2). Therefore, no data is lost, no factory reset is required, etc.
Also in very first part of Step 4, you need to dial *#808#, not *#801#
It took me less than 15 minutes and now it's good as new!!! Please give the OP thanks! He spent almost 200 hours figuring this out (and I don't doubt it; I must have spent easily over 20 hours myself and didn't get anywhere...). All I did was find his genius instructions and post them here.
Edit: And to add one last step to the guide, after you finish and get the fp scanner working again, please be sure to take a backup of your now fixed persist partition and store it in at least two different locations. Because if you are reading this, you are most likely modding your phone with at least Magisk (why else unlock the bootloader? and almost anything can cause persist to be corrupted. For me, it was simply installing a bad build of magisk canary back in May that did it. It's not just important for those installing aftermarket ROMs. It's vital for anyone who even thinks about unlocking the bootloader on this device. Because even the act of relocking the bootloader has caused persist to be corrupted for some...
Edit2: If you run the MSM tool after fixing persist, or manually relock the bootloader, you'll wind up with your FP being broken again. I'm assuming because the checksum of the "fixed" persist doesn't match that of the original, unmodified persist, so it gets marked as corrupt again. So you'll need to unlock the bootloader and restore/flash your backed up, fixed persist (you did back it up this time, right? Impossible to run msm tool to get back to stock AND have FP working. Bootloader must be unlocked after using msm tool and fixed persist restored.

I used his exact instructions on my 7T Pro 5G McLaren edition from T-Mobile. With a few helpful tips I added. You must have the global version of the 7T Pro McLaren since you are talking about open beta and stable releases. Unfortunately I can't help you there. It seems that the TMobile 7T Pro 5G McLaren is much more similar to the OP8 in some ways than the global 7T Pro, especially when it comes to OOS, partitioning, extra security crap, etc.
Edit:. You are in the wrong forum. You don't even have the global 7T Pro McLaren. You have the HD1910 Global (originally Chinese version) 7T Pro. Wrong forum. The 7T Pros didn't even have this issue (or if they did, it was no where near as widespread, I've never even seen it mentioned a single time). To the best of my knowledge, it began with the 7T Pro 5G McLaren from T-Mobile which was the newest phone released by 1+ until the OP8.
And if you deleted your backup of your original persist after trying to fix it unsuccessfully, it's now broken forever regardless. You need to RMA.
Late response, but this worked 100% for me after switching back to stock from AOSiP.
Thank you!

Apparently you need to reread the instructions
I did step three says.
3. Next step is to unlock the built in 'Factory Mode' I have a guide on how to do this below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8-pro/how-to/guide-unlock-factory-mode-root-t4118527
No where on this instructions says to relock the factory mode. I am just asking if you where to do that will fingerprint scanner work after doing msm tool.
I did the process 2 times now. Have no interest in doing it again unless I need to update. I just putting some thought in why I don't know if it's relavent or not just asking. sometimes a difficult problem can have a easy solution just got to figure it out

Yes, you can relock factory mode when done. Just re-edit those 2 lines. And once you have your FP working again, please be sure to make a backup of your fixed persist.img. Then you'll never have to do all the steps again. Simply restore your fixed persist.img if FP ever breaks again.

yep. same here spent so much time on it. Then me and that dev crossed paths. i told him what i found and he told me what he found and together it birthed that hack
fp also works in custom roms now
So this fixed my issue with registering my fingerprints, but even after registering 5 prints, when I go to unlock my phone or anything that uses my prints scanning fails like 90% of the time. I have to press really hard or just put in my pin to get my phone to unlock. I removed my screen protector and cleaned my screen. Is there a way to recalibrate the scanner?

Program each finger twice. Also, it'll get much, much, much better with time as it autocalibrates/learns over a week or so.
I don't quite follow step 5 in the guide:
5. We need to extract the the old broken persist.img. The way I did this is by opening it extracting it via 7-ZIP on my PC

For step 5, just extract it as if it was a zip file on your PC.
After fixing persist and getting FP working, make sure you make a backup of the fixed persist.img and save it in at least 2 or 3 different places to be safe. Occasionally for custom ROMs, to get the FP working after flashing ROM, take your fixed persist, go to fastboot, and do "fastboot flash persist your_backed_up_fixed_persist.img"
i just wanted to say that for some weird or maybe lucky reason, i did not have to reflash my backed up persist after using the msm to get back to stock from the aosip custom rom. I used the bootloader unlock trick through modded msm to install the rom and i went back using msm and fingerprint worked on the get go. I did not have to unlock bootloader and reflash persist.img .. not sure why i didnt have to its weird ( i never flashed my persist at all, even after installing the custom rom)
i think i lost my fingerprint forever because i have never done any backup and i flashed custom rom so RIP my fingerprint.
Would it make a difference if i dont lock factory mode or leave it unlocked?

The instructions only work for the T-Mobile 7T Pro 5G Mclaren edition, all OP8, all OP8 pro, no idea about OP8T. That's because this was the first device that OnePlus used a different format for persist. That's confirmed by you not having gf_persist.so.
You would need to look at the forums for the OnePlus 7T Pro for a possible answer: https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/oneplus-7t-pro.9327/ The forums you are in now are ONLY for the HD1925, the T-Mobile branded 7T Pro 5G Mclaren variant.
And lastly, if you deleted your original persist.img (the one with broken fp), which it sounds like you did, and then wiped persist again afterwards, then there is absolutely no hope of fixing it besides sending it to OnePlus. Because you've lost your entire original persist if that is the case, unless you still have a backup of original persist.img with broken fp from before you tried fixing it.

Question Moto G Pure - XT2163-4 vs XT2163-2 - LTE bands

New here. Didn't see a forum for the Moto G Pure XT2163. Mods - I am sorry. Please move wherever's best.
Discovered that the version Verizon is selling (notably the slickdeals thread on the one from Visible) is different. It's -2 vs. -4.
Looks like VZW disabled most of the bands that T-Mobile/Sprint use - 25, 41, 71, for example.
Looking to see if it's possible to enable those bands. One report on SD thread says they bricked their device trying RETUS version but IDK if the bootloader needs to be unlocked first, or if it would even help. Probably more work to unlock these bands if it's even possible.
Downloads look available here https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/ellis/official/
Haven't messed with flashing a phone in years. May be able to try later but hoping anyone else here can look into this.
I'm going to guess as is the case with most other Android devices branded by Verizon that the bootloader will be restricted from being unlocked. There is really no way around this as it's an OEM based policy. If you want to play with custom ROMs or root based modding, I would highly recommend ditching the Verizon or any other carrier branded variant with the exception of T-Mobile/Metro and Google Fi (there are others) that actually allow OEM unlock. Not only that, but if you're looking for certain connectivity bands, you don't want to settle for a carrier device variant designed to use a particular set of bands which don't include the ones you need. No sense getting a Verizon variant to run on T-Mobile/Sprint bands when you can, you know, get the T-Mobile variant in the first place. Get the global unlocked variant model if you can and start from there. Far easier than the headaches you'll get trying to transform VZW to TMUS.
Cross-flashing is not going to unlock bands, you need to change modem configuration. Throw your SoC(Mediatek) followed by "unlock bands" into Google and see if you have any luck.
I also didn't see a forum for the Moto G Pure and was wondering if anyone knows of a custom bootloader like TWRP or CWM for it? I think I have enough understanding of how to sideload the app, I just need something to send the phone. I tried using a random TWRP mod on it but it fails, invalid signature. I haven't tried doing the phone rooting thing in years now, but I have this Moto G Pure phone without any service on it that I'm willing to experiment on. It can be used as a test bed or data extraction device to put code from it on the internet if someone needs it to help custom rom makers for example by testing stuff on it. Perhaps that's why no one has a custom recovery for it yet.
I don't know exactly how to extract the phones current ROM data so all I've done so far is unlock the bootloader. The phone's carrier based on the unactivated sim card shows it's a T-Mobile branded device, but the T-Mobile and other carrier software is inactive other than the few Moto apps. An article on XDA say's the phone's suck, but that's just not true at least not to me. It's a fine phone like it is, but if I can format it's SSD and only install what I want it to have on it that would be great. It's just a spare sim locked phone that I can't use my active sim card in. So with that it's now a project phone. I would like to mainly just unbloat it and free up all that used space occupied by the recovery partition. I don't necessarily need a whole new ROM, just want to root it. That's the only way to erase those factory files that I know of.
For me unlocking the bootloader wasn't to hard to do. You have to make sure the drivers from Motorola are installed and have a current version of ADB available on a computer. I still had a version of ADB tools that was almost a decade old now so I had to update that for the fastboot oem_unlock_unlockcode (automated code from Motorola support) command to work. To find out if it can be unlocked or not go here:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone%2Fbootloader%2Funlock-your-device-b
At the Moto site they will guide you on how to generate the code they want you to send them. You have to sign in to their site to use that function though. After I finally figured out what to type in the CMD window it generated that code and I edited it down to one long line of numbers and give it to the page. In seconds I had an email with the unlock code inside.
Unlocking it seems to help with uninstalling some of the built in stuff, before I could only disable most of the apps that come with it. The apps are still probably on there I just have to factory reset it and they'll come back. Now however the removed apps don't show as using any internal storage, all the apps info numbers go to 0 bytes, but still even doing that it's still over 10GB of unmovable data. When it should really be more like 2-3 GB for the entire system. I hate how Google just inserts itself in your life even when you don't want it at all.
I anyone passing by reading this post needs more details please let me know and I'll try to get the information or even data files from the phone. Would a copy of it's stock firmware be of any help? If so let me know how I would go about saving a copy of it. I'll keep looking for answers but it seems this phone is not high on the priority list or is new or something. So there is only scam guides trying to tell you "How to unlock your phone" or "Install TWRP on Motorola devices" and other clearly click bait sites. I can't even find the stock rom for it on Motorola's site, just outdated versions from 2016, with different build numbers, that can't be right.
All I know is unlocking the bootloader was the first step on all the guides and I've done that. Got a warranty voided notice and everything. There currently isn't a custom recovery mod for this model as far I can tell. If I can ever find that then I can try Linage or just debloat Android 11 which is probably the safer and easier option provided I can find that Custom Covery'.
When it boots up now, it has to tell me it's unlocked and all the dangers it poses. Dangerous if you cared about what was on it I suppose. There is nothing on it I can't just copy back over to it, other than the stock operating system.
Oh yeah, it's model number and other side of the box information is:
Model Name: Moto G PURE
SKU: MO-XT21634-AJB (MOXT21634AJB)
Software Version RRH31.Q3-46-20
Production date was 12/15/2021
I'm not sure what other information to include.

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone%2Fbootloader%2Funlock-your-device-b
Production date was 12/15/2021
I'm not sure what other information to include.

hey i just came up on one of these today, nice phone considering... Any luck with trying to find a custom recovery? I have been looking as well but development seems pretty sparse right now. I am in the same boat as you, unlocked bootloader, locked everything else lol. I cant even find a way to root it without TWRP! I am curious if one of the other moto G series phones would have the same TWRP? Also check this out. It sounds legit but IDK...https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-motorola-g-pure-xt2163/

Well I was able to use Magisk to "root" it with the patched boot file trick, but still that's not the same thing as I did before with a Samsung phone and the CWM recovery deal. That gave the user all the control they wanted. Even though the phone claims I have root access, I'm not sure what to do with Magisk's root trick. I still don't see a way to backup or install a different operating system or just a blank Android 11 OS. My knowledge there is limited and there isn't a custom recovery for this model as far as I can tell.
So I still can't wipe the drive or remove the OEM partition that contains the installers for the bundled stuff. I'd still need some form of interface that has more features than the stock Fastboot and Bootloader modes offer I guess, or I just don't know how to use the software tools correctly. It's still locked even with root as far as I can tell but if there is something more I'm missing or an additional app to install for example, like SU. Is that still a thing? If I'm on the right track let me know.

Thanks for the reply!!! I am speaking from a place of semi-ignorance here but I would thing that you could install SuperSU from inside the system, right? As long as the root binary is there...idk though and from what I hear, chainfire is not responsible for SuperSU anymore so it has become somewhat sketchy. I saw a post (about this phone, I think) that mentioned having to install terminal emulator and running root command from there to achieve legit root after flashing the patched boot.img. I will see if I can find the post again and update you. Is there anyway you could post the boot.img? Or give me a link for it?

Well I can try and learn how to extract the phones information to my computer. I don't know how to do that exactly. The way I was able to get a hold of the phones stock firmware data was by using Lenovo's Smart Rescue and Recovery software.
You have to enable usb debugging mode, attach the phone to the computer with the software running and make sure that you didn't disable/delete Device Help. That app is what makes the Lenovo software work, otherwise the Recovery software fails to see the phone. If it sees the phone correctly then you can see the preselected target firmware it wants you to download under the Rescue tab along the top.
So I did that and grabbed the files it created without actually applying them to the device. The whole thing is a little over 2GB and difficult to host but I put the stock boot.img file here for anyone who needs it. If anyone wants all the files I can try to upload the whole thing one file at at time. That's the way it was sent to me, an uncompressed folder. If I zip it all up and try to upload it most sites will say file size exceeded. Anyway here's the link...

Thanks I was able to patch it with Magisk and achieve root. It looks like Magisk is an SU manager anyway. I have never used it before so this is a first for me. The root and bootloader unlock seem a little pointless without any recovery or ROM though....I guess it's time to learn how to compile one lol
I just picked up the Moto G Pure (XT2163-4) Android 11 aka Red Velvet Cake *sounds yummy lol*....I've been searching around and not seen any info about any rooting method for this device....besides the "Root All Motorola Phones" crap...and I don't feel like risking making a paper weight with it. Even on here it doesn't show up in the...add device list....was going to add to my profile...but can't.

Yeah now we're on the same page then. I thought the same thing, not much use to have an unlocked boot loader and root access without software to make use of it. I gave the phone to my nieces to play with for now, but it's with in arms reach if I need it for instructions yet to be defined. I should receive updates to this post if anyone else responds.

Yeah appears it was produced in late 2021 or sold at that time so it's new and no one has made any custom firmware's or recoveries for it as far as I know. I don't know how to do that, requires computer programming skills. I don't have any of those.

Excellent, it's nice to be caught up with everyone else haha!! I am going to do some digging and posting and whatnot to try to find some info on porting a recovery for this model. I feel like it can't be too different from at least one or two of the other G series phones. I will see updates as well so please post if you come up with anything!!
BTW does anyone know the process of creating a device page for this joint?! I think this phone is definitely worth some development...

Good luck finding anything that will load onto the phone. Seems like it would be possible to install LineageOS on it if nothing else. You'd think by now installing a phone's operating system would be similar to how operating systems are installed on other computers. All I get is invalid signature, way to much security (for them) on phone OS'es. With phones and PDA's apparently you can't just find the OS you want to use and install it. Where's the generic and bloat free Andriod 11 stock OS/firmware at? No such thing? It's either "Gaggles" way or nothing apparently. (It's ok if you don't know either, maybe someone else has more information about that.)

Ya I'm definitely not going to try anything on the actual device, (ESPECIALLY if I am trying to put it together myself) but I am pretty sure you can test that stuff on a virtual system. Some kind of android emulator or whatever. As for a stock/debloated/de-odexed ROM, I haven't seen one but that couldn't be all that difficult to put together, right? I mean as long as the patched boot.img is included anyway. I feel like a recovery would be a higher priority though...? BTW, I have never used Lineage before, how is it?

Hi
I read the above posts, and it seems like even if I am able to root it using Magisk, I won't be able to flash it with custom rom?
Thank you Agent_Orange1488 for the posts.

I attempted to root my nord n10 5g tmobile in the US i believe i have everything correct but now its stuck in a bootloop

My question is how do I flash it back to stock I tried just flashing the kernel back to it like someone suggested but I'm getting a lot of cant load file cannot determine image file name I'm new to this I used Odin a bit with samsung is there such a tool for the nord the problem I think was my phone updated while waiting for the token and I think I got my patch file before I unlock the bootloader then turn around and mixed it up with the boot image I made after unlocking the bootloader I've already wiped it clean I didn't back it up because it was clean I figured I had the md5

Question Flashing CPH2459_11_A.06 on a GN2200_11_A.06 ?

Hello,
I found a firmware file for the Nord N20 5g. However, it is CPH2459_11_A.06, while my phone says it is GN2200_11_A.06. Would it still be possible to do a local update to pull the boot image, or must the CPH and GN match? I have the T-Mobile version, bootloader unlocked, and network unlocked , along with the July security patch.
Thanks!

cph2459 is the unlocked version of the N20 5G correct? could you link the firmware please?
It is the unlocked version. I have the TMO version but it is network unlocked. The firmware can be found here: https://mega.nz/file/MXckFawK#IZ1ypD5Ftqw5Oz3oaeHLahqfUeaD6DlTzHCjeR3oseg
Also, this one is GN2200, but it is 11_A.05. Would it downgrade with the current patch? https://mega.nz/file/lX1H3Z5C#hUVmdbWUFI0bt0WQZVfaenTfVwoOqlfn2oexY5uC-Hs
If the OTA contains patches for all the required images then it SHOULD. But don't take my word on that.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Do you simply need a backup? It would probably be best to load a prerooter gsi with DSU sideloader and just use Partitions Backup and Restore app from playstore and backup all your partitions then just add them all to a single archive to make it easier to manage. You can select in options to save as raw (.img) and then just compress them all into a single archive and that would make it even easier to retrieve the needed partition images if you happen to need to restore anything.

I see. Basically I'm just trying to obtain root access. You mentioned prerooted gsi? I will need to read up more on this. Man this would be a lot easier with TWRP lol
waiting to hear from someone about a twrp that has been in the works. we tried one yesterday that didnt work. a different device tree is needed from the one that was used.
using DSU loader you can temporarily load a prerooted gsi and back everything up and move it to your pc and then move the boot.img to your internal storage where you can easily find it with the magisk app. install and load the magisk app and patch the boot.img then move the patched boot image to your pc and flash it in fastboot. that will give you a permanent root unless you prefer to stick with the gsi you sideloaded. but keep in mind any gsi you load with DSU Sideloader will be gone when you reboot the phone and your back to your regular system. you can use the sticky command if you want to keep the gsi installed but be sure to allocate plenty of space for your gsi if you plan on using it long term
if your on the may or july security patch you should be able to just download the patched boot.img from my other thread. i posted the stock images too in case you need to go back to stock or have issues booting. that being said. its best to just make your own backups. the july patch is GN2200_11_A.06

Someone else has tried this and lost radios..... Can maybe get everything working again by reflashing the FULL BACKUP you took before cross flashing.... I have a samsung a02, pixel 7 pro, moto g 5 g , oneplus n20 , iphone 12, iphone 6 , 4 tablets, and two LG

General OnePlus Nord N200 5G DE2118 Finally Unbricked.....

I'd like to start by saying after 2 weeks of researching and piecing guides together to unbrick my phone was hell. But once i found the right route it took me less thank 10mins all from a simple tool called Fastboot Enhanced V1.3.0. Now this Nifty little tool took me from bricked phone which was saying "Your img(Boot, Recovery) have been destroyed please flash the right files or contact customer service to fix this problem to Unbricked in less than 10 minutes. It took me 2 weeks of researching but it's finally done. Now most of you will say well you could have use MSMTool or the MTK or even SP Flash Tool. Those are all fine and dandy and all but one problem with those. YOU have to SCOUR the internet to TRY to find files you need to actually be able to use them. I been over several guides. I had when a guide basically says this 1) DO THIS SKIP SKIP SKIP important parts 2) NOW DO THIS. Like WTH was i supposed to do in between 1 and 2. Todays guides lack thoroughism and complettioin. Guides these days take Half Ste;ps and then thrown together.
I will also leave a step by step instructions on how to use the Fastboot Enhanced V1.3.0 in DETAIL on how to get your phone from what mine did to Unbricked state. I will also attack Nord N200 5G DE2118 .img FIles for those who have a hard time scouring the internet for things. I for one get agitated and aggravated as hell when searching the internet for things. Especially when you have to pc things together. I will leave files if it's Fine by staff. Now these files have come directly from my OnePlus Nord N200 DE2118 extracted less than 2 hours ago 10:04 p.m. EST September 10th 2022. Can Only attach One File? and i can't even remove the accidental clicked bmp pic of COD BO Cold War Zombies.
Guide For Using Fastboot Enhanced V1.3.0
1) Download Fastboot Enhanced Tool from: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...enhance-payload-dumper-image-flasher.4310553/ from XDA Which is how I came across it. . The Tool is a WINDOWS ONLY Tool. (How many guides i came accross that didn't state whether it's for Windows or Linux) I use Dual Boot so I have both.
2) Install Fastboot Enhanced V1.3.0 and wait for it to finish. Now you will only have to be in Fastboot Mode to do any of this. I can't believe how a semi hard problem was fixed really easy
3) Now you will Have to Have a Payload.Bin File which can be found with any OEM Firmware for Your specific Phone. The Payload.bin allows you to be able to do a Payload Dump Using Fastboot enhance it is at this point if any of your partitions are missing or corrupt you will find out because it will tell you if you can understand the way it's explains it.
4) This Nifty little tool will tell you your device naem whether your phone is using secure boot or not, current slot your phone is using if you have an a/b partition scheme and the update Status. This is Listed Under basice properties. AGAIN MAKE SURE YOUR IN FASTBOOT MODE.
5) Next tab is the Partitions Tab which will List all your partitions currently on your phone . To the right of your listed partitions you will have and ACTIONS Tab. This is the tab where you can flash, erase, delete, create, and Resize your partitions. With this tool You CAN Flash Important Partions So be careful what you flash.
6) Next Tab Over is the Payload Dumper. This is the Tab where you need the Payload.bin File for your specific phone. this will give you payload version manifest size, metadata signatures size Metadata Signatures (Base64), data blobs, singatures size signatures (Base64) Fuill package Yes or No. Timestamp and block size. also under payload dumper tab another tab shows up called the Dynamic Partition Metadata. Now this will list your REALLY IMPORTANT Dynamic Partitions These are the partitions you don't want to flash anything over them. It will give you the Partition group size, which partitions are included and tells you wheter snapshot is enabled or not.
7) Under The payload Dumper tab the partitions tab gets a different Actions box. This time i'ts a box that let's you extract your .IMG files from your phone it allows for incremental as well as to ignore unknown operations and ignore checksums also under this partitions tab it gives you a checksum for each and every one of your partitionss. Ok now on to the Simple but yet comprehensive guide.
8) Now to start you want to add the Payload.bin to the Payload Dumper and then click on the Partitions tab. Once under this tab you will select each partition and hit the extract button and extract it to a folder named something like Flash FIles.
9) you hace to do this for each partition. Once done you will have your .IMG files from your exact phone for future use as well. You then want to click on the Fastboot Visualization tab and then click on Partitions.
10) Once under the partitions tab here, you will want to start flashing your .IMG files to the partitions. it should take you around 10 to 15 mins total to finish flashing everything.
11) Once your finished flashing you want to do a quick Terminal and do a FASTBOOT -W and then Fastboot Reboot and watch your phone start working again.
FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ANY COMMENTS SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OR IF IT'S NOT ENOUGH DETAIL. I TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. THIS WAS MY FIRST GUIDE I EVER PUT TOGETHER. LOL THIS GUIDE TOOK ME LONGER THAN IT DID UNBRICKING MY PHONE.
BELOW YOU WILL FIND .IMG FILES FOR ONEPLUS NORD N200 DE2118
Thanks so much man. This phone has been an absolute pain in my ass to unbrick, the issue Ive had with Fastboot enchance is that all the firmware versions Ive found seem to contain images it doesnt recognize for the phone.
Do you have the original OTA for these , or the un-extracted payload.bin youd possibly be able to post?
So I went through the process without success, the only abnormalities I noticed were that my device did not have a partition for "my_carrier.img" , so that wasnt flashed.
And upon using the fastboot -w command, it did execute but at the end was given the message "Erase successful, but not automatically formatting.
File system type raw not supported."

I had a lot of issues with Fastboot Enhance too until I realized I was the one causing errors. Any logical partition it doesn't recognize you can create an empty partition wiht that name and it will resize it then copy it over. Also make sure whatever slot you're on, so say slot a, your logic paritions would be system_a, system_ext_a, vendor_a, product_a and odm_a except I dont see odm.img in the list of file by OP so I'm not sure if that will even help.
and now i have ran into HARD BRICKED mode trying to flash a custom from. phone will only load EDL and everytime I try msmtool I get the error Check OCDT CDT file empty please redownload it. and I scoured the internet for 4 days now and all I can find is stuff like What is .CDT extension but nothing about having and empty CDT file for android. getting frustrated with it now

I had a lot of issues with Fastboot Enhance too until I realized I was the one causing errors. Hey I appreciate it but I didn't need it I was just informing the poster above that the ODM file was missing and that might cause an issue when using Enhanced Fastboot. Not really sure what a cdt file is though, sorry.
Im in the US and have the unlocked N200, to unbrick mines i used the MSM tool and selected MetroPCS as my carrier. then after i had phone functionality i put the correct rom on my phone.

Can you link me to the MSM tool you used? I think there might be a few different versions of it floating around for the Nord N200. Mine was purchased unlocked

I still do not understand what I have to flash to get an OS back on this device. All I have is fastboot... soft bricked. I have de2117 ( "best buy" model). Reading all these instructions and I am still very confused
