I asked him for the 12 pro, 2 months ago, too busy.
EDIT:
Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource no Diting.

I read this
"Phone is to expansive for developers. It was start crowding for teams that made this roms... Question is who will first make it"
Unfortunately, I either have to sell the model or wait a long time for AOSP, anything other than MIUI
MIUI is good, but I like to use AOSP.

face recognition and vibration works , I've had the gsi installed for 2 weeks, and I didn't get any lag or shutdowns.
I was actually surprised by how stable it is.
only complaint is the brightness doesn't go as low as MIUI.

Yes, I think that because I also installed and tried the FIUI but when I changed the mode of the network, the phone began to lose and find the network constantly and I no longer had a stable network.

Extensive list of OREO ROMs for Mido

Ok, below is a list of the Oreo ROMs that I have found on this forum (sorted alphabetically).
While it is wonderful to have such a rich variety, the array of choices is bewildering. How does one choose? I guess one should start with the ones that are absolutely rock solid, stable (i.e., everything works as it should - especially things like bluetooth phone calls) and with no serious bugs. Then proceed to features (in terms of leanness versus customisation potential).
I note that most of them are based on AOSP/LOS. I myself would prefer an AOSP-CAF based ROM. Isn't there any that is based on AOSP-CAF?

Yes, I am aware of this. However, that thread is pretty much an "everything including the kitchen sink" affair, that is not restricted to custom Oreo ROMs. It already has more than 300 posts, and most of them are not about Oreo, or even about ROMs. It is easy to get completely lost, which is why this one is closely targeted. I hope that is okay.
I guess omni and cosmic should fit the bill. Omni is close to aosp, similar to slim, a rom that we both prefer. I'm going to use omni and see how it fares.

I understand what you're referring to and am sure you also know where I'm coming from. The confusion started because a reference was made without enough clarification. OP responded in the context of the thread, which was fair.
We're hijacking the thread with an off topic discussion. Best let's take it elsewhere, maybe the dual boot patcher thread would be the right place.

Many thanks. As @zenjedi has said, can we please get back to talking about Oreo ROMs for Mido? Thanks all.
I really have hard choice on choosing between these 3 - aex, liquid, cardinal. Now I'm on aex nougat and absolutely satisfied. I think it will be aex again.

What is treble?

I've seen this word around here. Ex: "non-treble model". What does it mean?

https://www.xda-developers.com/goog...ze-android-so-oems-can-update-devices-faster/
Read this article it explains in detail what Project Treble is.
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-project-treble-revolutionizes-custom-roms-android-oreo/amp/
This explains why Project Treble is a huge thing for Custom ROM development.
(Read the next part after reading those links, it will make more sense)
Now why most of the ROMs are non-treble for vince is because treble is most useful only if officially supported by the OEM. Some devs have been able to port treble unofficially to many Xiaomi devices. In the start vince also had custom ROMs with treble support. It meant that after flashing that ROM once you could then flash any Treble GSI on top of it. It does help that there are more ROMs that you can try out. But for a device with a good development base does not benefit much because most of the Treble GSIs available have ports available native to that device and a native port for a device is always better than flashing a GSI. But you would ask that if Treble has been ported then why not just leave it as an option for the few who would still want to try it. Many other devices are working this way such as mido which has several working Treble enabled ROMs. But on vince the Treble builds were causing many bugs and it was too much of a hassle to iron them out so it was easier to just remove Treble so that devs could focus their time on things that are more useful.
And how do I know if my phone is treble?

crDroid complete dead for Curtana?

Hello Guys,
it is sad, that the crDroid Thread is closed. But then the Telegram Group was still here.
But now the Telegram Group is deleted too.
Is there anywhere a place for crdroid curtana to discuss?
And i dont understand why so many roms pop ups, but still no stable fully functional twrp or another recovery exist. Im still using the lineageos recovery.
Fully functional twrp for android 10 not ready yet and android 11 recently appeared. Any other recoveries for instance pitchblack orangefox etc. made from twrp.
Don't worry, curtana has a lot of devs working here!
