No, it turns kdz file in readable format, with possibility to manipulate with files.
When someone figure out how to pack changed/switched/modded files back in kdz, we will have tool to distribute rom through KDZ-s.

Why did you do that?
This is tool for extract rom files from kdz pack to regular format.
Where did you find a word zip, or zip for flashing in thread?
Flash only regulary kdz for your phone model, or verified rom.zip...

Idk if it is even possible for P705 (never hear anybody did it, or have it).
I know how to extract partitions from dz (and merge system), but what is the difference, or how did you recover P705 with tot file, and why did you didn't with dz?
Anyway, I think you can find more information on lg l7 forum...

If not, i doubt even qpst (with proper emmcbld.hex) help you.
How did you damage jtag pinouts? If you try to recover boot area, with which device?

You won't get away with that without a very good RE knowledge and the time will not be worth most likely. You can destroy any connection with QDL Mode with wrong files. I have been there. Sorry, that phone is done.
my stupid question
how to repack kdz?
THANK YOU
THANK YOU SUPER EXPLAINED ... SENT FINE.

Anyone with a Netherlands/Any other Mega wants to create a debrick.img for me?

So i have a bricked Mega from a friend of mine.
I tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600869 with a debrick.img I found on the internet, but it does not got my any further then writing the sectors.
(BOOT RECOVERY MODE
CHECK BOOT PARTITIONS. .
COPY FROM T-FLASH. .
WRITE 139008 sectors. .)
Can someone with a Nehterlands Mega create the debrick.img of his phone using the guide found here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45725480&postcount=45) and share the created file with me?
The Mega could also be from any other country, as the Mega i have is not doing anything, and at least it would be worth giving it a shot.
Thanks in advance!

Extracting kdz/tot from raw Lgup Tool dump

My intent is to provide flashable debrick files for myself and others, from dumps. I am using @smitels patched Lgup Tool (check out the G5/v20 threads). I was able to configure and do complete dumps for several lesser developed (but widely used) LG models: Stylo 3 LGLS777, Stylo 3 LG M430, and X Charge LG SP320. The dumps are large, 14.5GB and between 51-61 files. The problem I have, and which will reveal my ignorance, is that the files have no extentions and are listed: Aboot_COM8, Abootbak_COM8, tz_COM8 etc, img files all I'm assuming. I tried several tools Kdz extraction tool, lg extraction tool etc but none worked. Ext2reader/ explorer don't read them. How can I create kdz/tot files from these dumps? Flashable zips? Thanks for pointing the way.

I am also interested in knowing how I can extract the contents of these files or how to mount them, I need to recover data from the userdata partition when I see their concern, it came to my mind that this can also be useful for me.
Idk yet. Kdztools, LG firmware extractor tool neither work read the raw files. Nor does appending the _COM8 (or what ever). Nor does renaming .img. Idk if I have the tools misconfigured or the wrong tools. I just need to read more. Let me know if you make progress.

Do you have dump for m430?
you have the stock firmware?? usually you just change the file extension to .zip and extract it with winzip after your partition will be extracted such as boot.tar.md5 , recovery.tar.md5, system.tar.md5 after that just rename them .tar remove the .md5 and just download LZMA unpacker and drop them on it and you will get .img

Excuse my ignorance. How do I remove the one from my Velvet 5G phone? It's not rooted and it's on Android 10 and it's from AT&T. How do I extract my own KD?
Could this method be used to create your own rom?
Does anyone have any additional guides for creating roms?
