Looking forward to flash. Waiting for reviews

very few owners of this device, and even less would risk warranty instead of waiting for official, thanks for sharing though

It works well in my Edge X30 until now. And this ROM does not cause an SMS receiving issue. Thx

it's been too long for a 3rd party rom for this device. Thank you so much

Found a possible bug on my hiphic: too laggy and image even frozen when playing video on web browser. Tried diffrent browser, webview version, website, but issue still remains.

Great, I hope others start to appear... But the L1 is essential for me. I would love to try it out

DRM L1 won't working on any Motorola device when the device unlocked bootloader

After lost my patience waiting for A13 I decided to install this ROM on my edge 30 pro. So far so good, excelent work. It seems that everything works, I only notice that the brightness is a litle low and the fast charging a little slower to. Lets see in the next days. I hope that the dev continues to give us regular updates. Congrats

I have some bad news for you. Dev discontinued support for hiphi (Edge 30 Pro, global) for lack of interest from the community. I guess many are not ready to unlock bootloader, in my case I have an extended warranty so I'm choosing to wait. But I recommend joining his Telegram channel for more info and maybe show some support so he considers working on it again

Ya today I saw the bad news. Im already on the telegram group. Its a shame because the ROM is really good in this device. Lets hope the Dev change is mind. Fingers crossed.

Sad to see dev left support. I was hopeful and was looking forward to flash

Meizu M6 Note port Google Camera with HDR+

Meizu M6 Note uses Snapdragon 625 and runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat, however, I don't know if Camera2 API is supported by this device. I would surely buy this thing if it can do HDR+ using modded Google Camera app! I still have the original MX 4-core and the MX5, and I really want to add this to my collection (good thing it has full manual control as well!)
do you have updates on this ? i would be interested to buy as well.

You got the device pretty early
The device launched two month ago in China so MEIZU hasn't even released this device firmware.
That means no TWRP recovery yet
MEIZU also going to launch this phone globally in a few months so the best thing for now is wait.
(They announced that they going to launch this phone soon in Greece)
I really believe this device would get a good community support as SD625+Sony IMX 362 makes a great combo.
The camera really destroys even the Mi6 sensor in some ocations and the phone only cost 140€ for the 16gb version.
Also don't forget the quite superior front facing camera .
I was going to get the mi a1 but when I saw this bad boy I knew this is the phone I'll get.

I can't understand what you wanna say
If I understand you're talking about the M6 Note community.
There no global release for the device yet .
Even MEIZU hasn't released the device ROM on their website so no bootloader unlock or custom recoveries yet.
MEIZU will launch the phone soon in EU so we'll have to wait for a global ROM , bootloader unlock tool and kernel sources

You're talking about the device specific forums
A couple of days ago I asked in the device request section to register this device on the forums.
Before we had to post on the General section
Now we have the device description, section and tags
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/meizu-m6-note
As I said the device released a couple of months so we have to wait
Looking forward for the Google Camera Port to this cheap IMX362 sensor! Hope it got great performance.
I have this phone now for a week with the latest Flyme update (6.1.4.3A). Phone has amazing battery life and realy good camera but.........it lacks B20 support. Even the site of Meizu says it's support B20 but it does not https://www.meizu.com/en/note6/spec/. I hope in future they can enable it by software but I'm afraid it's hardware related. I have modelnumber M721Q whisch should be Netcom Public version (whatever this means). https://reameizu.com/meizu-product/m721/

Just ordered this phone myself, can you tell me what this means and how did you notice? Will I be able to use it effectively in Holland and Belgium where band 20 is used!?
Was just looking forward to throw away my old 4s. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I bought it at Lightinthebox. I checked several sites for Band 20 and they confirmed it. Prior to this phone I had GalaxyS5 and LG G3 and both had 4G in my area. The Meizu did not receive 4G. After installing the app Network Signal Guru I discovered no band 20 was supported on my Meizu. I have KPN as proviceder and they use Band 20 for G4. In crowded areas like "Randstad" they also support B3 which the Meizu supports and confirm that 4G is working on B3 but not B20. The support desk of Lightinthebox will check this with Meizu.
Update: I found out you need model B721H Global version

Latest Google Camera app to test on the M6 Note
Google this:
Google Camera 5.1XX apk with Working HDR+ [Mod]
On the stupdroid website, under Download section there are 3 links.
Can someone please try the 3rd link and see if the Gcam work?
PS: I don't have the M6 Note yet and I don't know if the website, the links and the app is trustworthy. Otherwise I would have tested it myself and share the good news.
Not working at all. Sorry. App crashes.

Any idea when it's coming out for Verizon?

Galaxy Note 8<-5<-3<-S3<-Nexus; Droid X; HTC HD2<-Touch Pro 2<-Tilt<-8525; O2 XDA II<-XDA
I believe that Oreo will start droping Jan - Feb... T-Mobile and Xfinity first Sprint and Verizon Last...just guessing though...
Beta should be coming soon. For most countries in Europe. But it still is pretty disappointing that S8 got Oreo and Note8 which uses similar hardware didn't. Plus Samsung could support Note users after Note7 failure.
And porting Oreo to N8 from S8 is really difficult. First beta didn't boot for some reason and getting a logcat with Samsungs new security is bit more difficult. Second beta has even more security which makes it even worse.
Did You guys hear that all Oreo devices have to use Project Treble? So once we get official Oreo we can boot Generic AOSP on our phones!
Coolness

Currently it's just disabled in build.prop(S8 beta) but Google requires all manufacturers to use and enable Project Treble. Doesn't seem like any Oreo betas have it. But official releases will be forced to have that. It's not recommended anymore. Now Google forces all manufacturers to use it. Samsung is already using HIDL in Oreo beta which is a good sign. But still. They have to give us Treble. Otherwise Google will be mad lol idk.

Nokia 8 just got Official Oreo and doesn't have Treble . We'll see what Samsung gives us in the final release. But for now I feel like August Nougat is the last update Note8 will ever get.. I'm starting to feel bad for selling my S7 Edge. My friend has S7 and he already runs Oreo on it. I think even Galaxy S2 has Oreo.

I don't think that's how Treble works. The news that XDA had yesterday was that it seemed easier to port an AOSP ROM. You still need to be able to flash it, and as long as the Snapdragon bootloader remains locked, there won't be any custom ROMs for our phones.
The good news for most of us is that security and core Android updates won't be held up by the manufacturers and the carriers.

I'm glad yours is more up to date than my UK Exynos version. I bought it on launch day and had a update that day and that was it. In my opinion that's not good enough for such an expensive phone. But I'm a sucka for Samsung phones so guess I'll just get on with it.
Ps it's not tied to any carrier, so I'm waiting for a update directly from Samsung.

Yeh but im not into unlocking bootloader anymore. Reason I'm complaining mainly is that I'm way behind on security updates and my Aod is killing my battery hard, so I'm hoping an update will fix that. Otherwise the phone is working great.

Kernel Source Released!!!

I don't know why there is no news at all on this, as far as I know it's the 2nd after Xiaomi Mi10 / Pro company to release source code for an 865 powered device. Let the kernel and ROM building begin!!!
Unfortunately I almost bought this phone but changed my mind, made many kernels for the Mi9 and Mi9T Pro K20 Pro, was going to get a Xiaomi Mi10, already built an OC kernel for it, but it's specs don't interest me for $800 just to get 600k AnTuTu. I have a Redmagic 5G instead waiting on source for that to be released.

Selecting Best Custom ROM for toco

Hi all,
Hope you are fine. I am searching on the forums, Telegram channels (my username is mandalina34, any help would be appreciated), internet, websites for finding the best stable ROM for my device toco but couldn't find yet.
What i am looking for? Here my goal:
1) Long battery usage, i mean good battery stats while gaming and on heavy work
2) All working stuff without lagging like FOD, face unlock
3) Stock camera capabilities like 64MP Ultra, slowmotion, 1080P 60FPS and 4K video recording, macro, portrait photo and video, track moving, etc. I heard ANX Camera but it is really complicated i couldn't figure out completely.
4) Too much customization on UI and system
5) Quick battery charge support
6) Not really so important but OTG support
7) Speedy
As i listed above i am looking for a custom ROM which supports them. I learned crDroid and Havoc-OS is officially supporting my device and i am so happy about this. If you know other officially supported ROMs please share them with me. I don't want to install/try unofficial builds because their support is not good than officials.
Any recommendations and experiences about A11 and A12 really would be appreciated!
Please don't hesitate asking questions about my goal amd i will answer what i want.
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards.

Question General Questions About Xiaomi 12S

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this phone (upgrade from my POCO F3) - I have a bunch of questions if someone could please answer these, thank you!
Bugs?
Does the FP sensor with tempered glass protection?
Camera Quality/Night Mode? (sorry I'm only seeing a handful of 12s reviews) if you could also post some sample shots, please.
Update commitments? Open source? Last I checked, there's still no commitment from an XDA article
GCAM - I saw a bunch of apps on some Telegram group which is dedicated to the 12S series, wonder if you guys tried it yet? (to those who's gonna ask here's the thumbnail & TG link)
RAM management - (I know this will eventually be fixed on custom roms or MIUI EU - will we even have custom ROMs?) but I saw on YT reviews that it has bad ram management
Battery Review - SOT? WiFi/Data
Any official Telegram channel yet? 12S Photography? - All I can see is 12S Ultra
Overall, how does it feel? A good daily driver? I had Mi 8 before and switched to F3 (camera sucked so hard compared to Mi 8) even with GCAM, so basically I'm looking for something bug free, daily driver + good cam.
Thank you guys!

Hi. I use my Mi12s as a daily driver. Here are my thoughts.
With stock Chinese rom it is pretty stable, but even for this price tag you are getting Ads and Bloatware so naturally I would want to flash a custom rom. However this device is still fairly new (although Xiaomi seem to have moved on with the 13) and it is a China-only model so You either have to flash a GSI and risk things not working or you have to use third party apps to debloat the device and risk deleting or disabling system apps that make your device brick after a restart (which would mean a factory reset or else a complete MIflash system reset) so you are probably better off with one that has international support. I actually recommend an older model such as the 11 or 10 as they still have plenty of support but they are in enough hands that pixelexperience and LineageOS all support it.
xiaomi.eu now has a rom for the 12s you can use if you like. I have not tried it out yet.
The system adds 3GB of virtual memory to the device by default. This affects storage and will wear out storage faster so I choose to turn it off.
There is no support for multiple users, but there is a feature called second space which basically does that (found out in adb)
And I do not think there is an official way of getting this device outside of China. On top of that I do not think warranty can be used outside of China since this is a China-only device.
