Question How to disable updates? - OnePlus Nord N20 5G

Today my phone tried to push the Android 12 update on me, which I do not want. What options do I have to stick with 11?

Disable system update 6.0.1 S7 Edge AT&T

AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge G935A
I rolled back from 7.0 to 6.0.1 stock OS (just wanted to spoof on Pokemon Go)
however, I keep getting this issue where i can't disable the OS from wanting to get the OTA system update. I remember in 7.0 it was in developer options, and i couldn't find it there.
Any ideas? Thank you!
Edit: I ended up going into dev options, and killing "AT&T Software Update" process. I'm assuming that'll last until the next reboot since the process hasn't kicked back up again since (about 8 hours now), so I'm hoping that it'll stay that way. Fingers crossed! I will continue checking back here for potential fixes, because I feel as if just nixing a process isn't a permanent solution.
Install BK Package Disabler, and then disable packages containing "SDM" in their names. While for some people, disabling "com.wssyncmldm" works. You can install an older apk if the newer versions do not allow disabling them.
Alternatively, if you do not want to install an app, you can disable packages using command line. For eg.
adb shell
pm disable com.wssyncmldm

Samsung S8 Active (SM-G892A) update/flashing help!

Hello all!
Im new to the forum, so forgive me for any mistakes or mis-information.
I have a S8 Active (g892-a) with baseband version G892AUCS2BRF2, the june 6 2018 build. I had a 3rd party unlock so I can use it on T-mobile which has worked very well, but i believe this is the reason i dont get any updates.
I cannot seem to get any kind of updates either through the OTA manager in settings or smart switch. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting the phone, deleting smart switch and reinstalling to see if smart switch would update. but it only comes back with "your device is up to date". Is there anyway I can get my phone to update? Either through odin or through smart switch. I would love to update to 9 whenever it is available for the active, but would still like to get normal updates that are more recent. Possibly I can flash G892U firmware onto it, even if its G892A?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have the latest version, ending with C.03 ?

ColorOS 7 Assistive ball...bug ?!

I turned this feature on, but I cannot find where to switch it back off again. I think there's a serious glitch. There used to be a button on the quick add but that's gone. Anyone mind trying from their device?

? What is "assistive ball"
No such setting
Under convenience tools. Do you not have it? It must be on C10 and not available on C11. I suspect I enabled it and the latest update rolled it back perhaps. I was forced to do a system settings reset on my device to kill it.
I have the latest ColorOS 6 package, if I attempted to run it in recovery would I end up bricked? We're talking Android 10 - 9. I have a feeling things aren't meant to work like that.

No such thing in my phone. Sorry.
AFAIK you won't be able to go back to back to 9. Oppo have locked the bootloader to prevent regressive updates. Recovery will just fail. You won't brick anything though.
You could try recovery update via WiFi? Doubt it will work, as it links to the last thing on your country's website which is likely to be an outdated COS6. With a shot just in case.
Let me know
