Question Daily Driver - which Rom? - OnePlus 10T 5G

Hello!
I've got my Ace Pro (with global Rom installed).
1. Now I would like to know which rom is best as daily driver?
India, EU or global?
2. What are the differences?
3. How to activate call recording feature?
4. I would like also to have Magisk active.
5. Is there custom recovery?
How to achieve all above? Means - best Rom + root + call recording.
Let me know please.
Thank you in advance!

Bear in mind there is no FREE unbrick method any more unlike older oneplus phones as oneplus / oppo now demand you pay them to unbrick your device so be very careful what you flash and how you flash it !!

I use global, rooted with magisk normally, using skvalex recorder with no problems.
I wish I would know an app that would record whatsapp calls right, tho

Stock Android

Hi All,
Greetings,
Is it possible to get stock android in our RN4 Snapdragon version. I would like to have clean(stock Android) and top of that rooted device to unlock and use some of the features.
Please Assist/guide me further (Don't like the bloatware from MIUI). any related ROM's without bug also would help me . just route some of the links(Along with installation guide).
Thanks
i can't help you but...
what you are asking is relative easy to achieve but you have to understand that this may have brick your device so if your are goin to make this mod to your device do it at your own risk.
1- you need to know what version of RN4 you have (mediatek or snapdragon) so you can flash the propper custom rom.
2- you'll have to unlock your bootloader, you can google: "how to unlock bootloader for redmi note 4" it's very easy with the propper files, maybe you 'll have to wait 70 hours for xiaomi to give you permission to unlock the bootloader.
3- you'll need to flash a custom recovery. I use twrp official for RN4, but others use orange fox recovery. Both do the same job so it is your choise.
4- stock android`s "feel" is mostly made by a AOSP custom rom. so search wich one likes you and try it (only those wich are made for your chipset).
5- also opengapps need to be flash, at least nano version in order for google plays services to work.
6- maybe you like to flash magisk for root access and magisk hide for several apps that work with safety pass
7- enjoy
hope you can make it, all the process is really easy and feels great to have a 4 years old device running latest android a nd the latest security patch update.
ps. don't forget to install all the propper drivers for your device.
:good:

Hey, If you really want to help just don't keep asking about the progress
According to my research and surmise, the API that triggered NFC-SIM was moved to the app they call "公交卡" (app package name: cn.oneplus.wallet), so if you want to try you can download my "6T NFC-SIM Magisk Module" and "APP", the APP need to set default as your payment settings, maybe it will work.
Hi,
It uses Magisk so the phone needs to be rooted, or at least BL Unlocked right?
I need it for ViaNAVIGO (Ticket purchase for Parisian transports) but I’m afraid that rooting/BL unlocking disables Google Pay and banking apps...

Maybe you can use Magisk Hide Props or simply Magisk Hide if you have troubles with some apps
I am very envious. It seems that I will never have an NFC-SIM on my OnePlus 5 Android 10.

Well, OOS11 EU version has supported for NFC-SIM.
But this module seems to work at A11 AOSP ROM as well after testing it.

MIUI 12 for curtana

Hello.
Has anybody tried fastboot version of MIUI12 for curtana? https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/curtana/
you can find other version here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/curtana/
Installed and being trying it for 3 days now. Everything works perfectly. For my day to day usage I can't say I've noticed any big differences from MIUI 11 (I was using xiaomi.eu 11.0.11.0). Usage does feel smoother and the battery does last longer, although I have no documented evidence to show. I removed the bloatware as per the 11.0.10.0 guide and I've found no bugs. All in all I'm happy with this ROM.
Edit: Just wanted to meantion the MIUI camera app. There are no added features. No clone mode and no kaleidoscope mode. The only difference from the MIUI 11 camera app is the new MIUI 12 visual.

# The MIUI 12 rom is a fastboot rom so you must flash it through MI Flasher. Make a backup first and search a guide on how to flash without locking the phone again! See this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-9-pro/how-to/tutorial-how-to-revert-to-official-t4109831
Hey @gde.spencer , can you help me to choose the right firmware?
What is the difference between Recovery and Fastboot? Or do you need both?
Which is the better version Global or EEA?

The fastboot version is installed via MiFlash whilst the phone is in fastboot mode. Use this to flash "as new".
The recovery version is like an OTA update (I think. Never used one).
I don't know which version is better (global vs eea) because I flash as a base for custom roms.
I have the Redmi Note 9s 6/128GB Global Model.
I want to flash the Indian Firmware so I will get the MIUI contacts and dialer (and call recorder).
Can someone please check if the Indian ROM has the HEBREW language, it should look like this:"עברית" under languages.
I will be glad for your help.

Thank you a lot my good friend, I will now flash it
For anyone else wondering, the Turkish fastboot ROM (QJWTRXM) installs fine on a global Note 9S (QJWMIXM). Everything works as far as I can tell, and all the languages are there (though call recording isn't, at least in the default Google Dialer app).

Recovery is the "OTA" ROM you install with MIUI's built-in update mechanism or a custom recovery like TWRP. Fastboot is a bit more low-level, you restart your phone into fastboot mode, connect it to a computer and use a program that manually overwrites the data on the phone's partitions, a bit like using dd on Linux or disk cloning/backup software. There's also EDL mode, which is the same as fastboot but it's built into the hardware itself, so it works even if you manage to brick fastboot somehow. On recent Xiaomi phones, it requires an authorized Mi account (or a patched ROM, or someone willing to sell you authorizations over the internet).
Global and EEA are pretty much the same thing, but EEA ROMs are intended for the European Economic Area (the EU) so they have to comply with additional regulations like having to let you choose your browser and search engine or something. As a side note, I live in the EU and pretty much every store over here is selling the Global variant of the 9S instead of the EEA one. Global ROMs are "better" in the sense that they tend to be more up to date (as of me writing this, global is on MIUI V11.0.11 and EEA is still stuck on V11.0.4).

[TWRP] Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse-eea) QJZEUXM

Hi,
Wich TWRP should i flash for this phone ? (Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse-eea) QJZEUXM)
Also, i would like to flash an indonesian or chinese rom in order to have call recording, is it possible ? Or Thoses roms are basically region/model locked ?
Regards
I have exactly the same model running MIUI 11 and not rooted. I am using Cube ACR from playstore which works well. It was a surprise to me as I thought Google had stopped call recording in android 10. I used Cube on my last rooted phone so thought i would give it a try here.

I just tried, and like every other recording apps, it's only recording youre voice and not the one you are calling..
Also, i prefer when it's native function and not as an app
My Joyeuse with global rom has a call recording feature inside the Google phone app

How to get Xiaomi stock camera app on custom rom

I recently flashed Nusantara rom on my Redmi note 9 pro(Indian) and while I am using a Gcam port which allows better outputs but for my everyday use the Xiaomi stock app was best with a great ux and I would like to know if there is a way to get it back.
P.s: I have not rooted my phone just unlocked and flashed the rom.
Edit: got to know about ANXCamera but I use things like Google Pay extensively so is there any way to get it without rooting?
I agree, the OEM camera is superior to alternatives. I haven't found a suitable replacement yet. Given that you want to avoid to root, the following option seems not viable.
MiuiCamera for A11 and A12 [Magisk Module]
