Accessories Share your Case experiences & recommendations here - Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Hello everyone, let us open a general CASE topic where we share all experiences and recommendations with cases and also discuss questions about cases.
Let's avoid opening unnecessary many single category topics.
Otherwise you have no overview in the later course.
In one topic it is at least clear.

I would start right away.
I have found the following premium cases in carbon style.

CENMASO Price: 39,99€
Spoiler: CENMASO
PITAKA Price: 79,99€
Spoiler: PITAKA
Has anyone had any experience with one of these protective covers?
Are there any restrictions regarding a glass screen protector, because of the curved design, to what degree the protective cover may/should go?
My personal favorite is the PITAKA case, as far as the design accents are concerned, but as far as the protection is concerned, I would prefer the REUTERSON, as it protects the entire side of the device. As for the price, I find the CENMASO the fairest. It offers almost complete protection at the edge like the REUTERSON but is half the price.
Edit: (10.02.2023)
#PITAKA
So I have tried the PITAKA hull, my conclusion.
The case looks very chic, but I am very bothered that the case protects the sides only half ( under the volume buttons), is completely closed at the bottom (strongly protruding) and feels very slippery overall.

Ordered for another make and i will post quality when it arrives. Made in Ukraine and comms been good so far. I will probably order for 23 ultra when i see the one i ordered

Ordered spigen amored opti case for 23. Fits my current 22 well. However its quite slippy in the hand.

I ordered the Mous case for s23U as it's supposed to be strong, they produce their own screen protectors so don't have to worry about compatibility with case. Also really wanted something with magnets so I can use a magnetic car holder.

I have ordered that case from the link below. It was recommended by other guy on discord S23 ultra group. I will post my experience when it arrives
Galaxy S23 Series Premium Case With Lens Push Cover

I'm sticking with the same Spigen Tough Armor I've had on every device I've had since I stopped using UAG cases that kept falling apart on my Android devices when I got my iPhone 8 Plus.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Tough-Armor-Designed-Galaxy/dp/B0BJSNT7H8
I also really like that it has cutouts for each of the three main cameras because I've seen many people complain about getting junk caught in the rings on the S22 Ultra and since this is a Designed For Samsung case, it means that Spigen worked directly with Samsung to make it so it should be precision cuts everywhere. I also just really like the look of the individual camera rings as opposed to just having a chunk missing there.

Waiting caseborne case to test
Tried samsung original case transparent, feels very solid on my s23U

Unless, Amazon sent me a S22 ultra case, even though the box and the listing said a s23 ultra case, it works perfectly fine on my s22 ultra.
So if it is indeed a s23 case, then I dont see any reason a s22 case should be fine

Which is odd since a S23U case fits pretty good on a S22U. The only difference I can tell is the extra cut out for the pin hole next the charger.
The side buttons there is not enough of a change, even with a slight alignment difference, the buttons works as they should with the case on.

Some flexible cases may have a (poor) fit, as dimensions are just slightly different. For a proper fit you would want aS23U case.

I had two of them, PITAKA and one form unbox therapy also one more cheap from China(aliexpress) let me share my thoughts:
- if you want to protect your phone AND keep it in nice condition, then forget about that case. Material is so hard that any type of sand/grain/dust will scratch sides/corners of your phone.
- those cases are quite bad, there is literally no difference between pitaka/unbox therapy and china besides price, chinese one was IMO best and costed 12gbp instead of 50 lol.
I am choosing ringke onyx and their screen protector, cheap and should be quite secure. I was going to choose spigen once again, however it is too bulky.

Carbon fiber cases look sick, but I wonder what level of protection they offer? I have a generic transparent silicone cover on just right now, and it looks that it would bounce if I drop the phone accidentally.

When I look at all the carbon cases, unfortunately, they all do not look safe, the frame usually goes on the sides to under the volume buttons, clearly silicone is safer and better, it wraps especially usually completely the sides of the phone.
According to the pictures on the website, at least the carbon goes over the volume buttons in the Reuterson case. The only question is whether it will be the same for S23... on the website the picture seems to be of the S22 Ultra.
I also ordered the Spiegn transparent case first and am waiting for the reviews regarding the carbon cases.

That's a great choice. I used the Spigen tough armor case for the last two Samsung phones I had. Also love how the case goes around all the camera rings looks special. Was very tempted to go for this case again but really struggle to find a good screen protector that is compatible with this case. Will you be using a screen protector, and if yes which one?

I chose Imbzbk because of the reviews. Price / performance is thus at 10 € / per glass film. I am curious when my Samsung arrives how my equipment will fit. I will report back.

Mega 6.3 cases

Because this isn't a main stream phone, from what I can see, the choice of cases out there are really slim.
I bought a cheap case off ebay, which is ok, but i'm not terribly happy with. The case is from taipo212 on ebay, the 'rubber hard coating skin case'. It fits well and looks pretty good initially, but marks too easily due to the matte/rubber like material. It also came with a couple small marks already on it. However, I needed a case till I find the perfect case, and it was cheap.
I'm waiting on another case from ebay, which I will comment on when I receive it. A 'clear hard tough case' from 'yousave-au'. Would love to hear from anyone that has this already.
I couldn't find a generic cases thread for the mega 6.3, so I think this thread would be a big help to lots of people.
Can anyone who has a case comment on if the case is good, where you got it from etc, even people with bad experiences, if they can let us know, so we know what cases to avoid
I just ordered one of these from eBay UK for £1.99 with free screen protector. I like these ones as they are cheap and durable, it protects the whole phone and I have been using the same type of case for my Nexus 7, Original Note, Lg L3, and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with no problems.

There are lots of generic cases available for the Mega 6.3 and in my experience they are quite good. Here are some ultra thin ones, I have tried this type of case on my original Note but didn't like it as the top and bottom of the phone are exposed to scratches.
These ones are advertised as Hydro Gel Rubber, whatever that means. I have also tried this with my original Note but after a few months it became loose and I went back to the S Line type case.
I use the S-Line and like it alot.
The phone is still slim and the texture is such that it doesnt hang up inside your pants front pocket when I pull it out..
Comes out and goes in smooth and is not slippery feeling like it will squirt out of my hand..
Im impressed. Just the features that I like..
EXCEPT.... one gripe.. I want the button covers removed. I want to feel and press the actual button and not the rubber button bumper..
I have a NillKin snap-on hard case (in black) for mine. This is quickly becoming my case of choice for all my phones - it's classy and maintains the thin waistline. It doesn't provide all-round edge protection though, so you need to be a bit more careful I also have a generic snap-on clear case, which looks alright but sits hard against some patches of the back, making it look a little cheap lol.

These are some slim/flip cases available on eBay UK (click on the pics for the link):
Ordered this one for £11.99 with the usual 'free' screen protector and stylus http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAVFY-Samsu...UTF8&colid=2CUOJPFBQAJ7A&coliid=IO8B31VIVJJN5
It looks ok and will do till something better comes along.
I like the TPU plastic cover. It protect my phone some time when I drop it.

Just got one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290945411155
The "Army Green" version, it's really a very dark brown like oiled leather or hunter leather. It has the same look and feel as a wallet I bought from Amazon UK (Visconti Hunter) though of course it's not leather.
There's no go to sleep magnet in it but that was easily fixed. It's a third of the price of the last case I bought and feels much nicer in the hand, the inner phone holder part is hard plastic not tpu and is open at either end with cut outs for the volume and power buttons.

I have ordered a brown Nillkin for my white Mega.
Got my new case today, same as my blue ultra slim case but I got black.

THINNEST full coverage Case and it's only $5!

So far I've tried over 7 cases and this is the THINNEST case you can get for the S7 and it offers full coverage. It is like having a nearly bare phone. The dot pattern on the back is great because it prevents the glass from sticking to the plastic giving it that wet look. The case I got has a great fit and the front lip hugs the phone well on all sides. If you are looking for a clear phone to really show off the galaxy s7 while having the least amount of bulk possible this is the case to get, not to mention it is only $4.98 on Amazon. You can check the case HERE on some angles you can't even tell there is a case on the phone.
If you need drop protection and need an otterbox type of bulk protection this is definitely not for those users, but for those who just want the least amount of bulk w/ a bit of protection and full coverage around the bezels, this is a great little case.
I just got the spigen thin fit (exact fit). it looks just as thin as the above case and also is open on top and bottom so becomes even more minimal. for those that care about protecting the back glass but not parts of the frame. got it on sale for $5 plus shipping...

dont have my s7 yet but i assume it should still work, i have had similar cases on my nexus 5 and the qi charging still worked...
Thanks for finding this OP, I just ordered one. I am not usually a case guy and tend carry my phones naked with just a carbon fiber skin added for grip. But with the S7 and its rounded back not proving well so far in early drop tests, I am looking for the thinnest case possible - already ordered 3 of them.
The Spigen looks great, but I'd prefer the tops to be covered also if I am going to have a case on. When phones fall, the top bezel usually gets nicked. (ask my S6E )
OP - Does the packaging say how thin this case is in mm? I got the Spigen Clear Crystal that's supposedly 0.5 mm, another on eBay that's supposedly 0.3mm and have also seen others on eBay that claim 0.2 mm. Curious.

The wireless chargers work through Otterboxes, so yeah as long as the case is not metallic or ridiculously thick it will still work.
I got my gmyle case the OP told us about and put it on today. I am very impressed. Truly a slim case, it's thin enough to show off the curved back glass. I have 2 more coming in the mail, but this one's the best of the 2 I have tried so far (Spigen clear crystal before this and the gmyle is way better, way thinner).
Thanks for sharing OP.

I ordered this one a few weeks ago http://www.ebay.com/itm/291687582792?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Looks similar except for the camera cutout, in some of the pics it does look pretty slim and it also look like it has a curve on the back. It should be here any day now.
I got the red shield slim case.
To bad I didn't stumble upon this thread sooner.
Looks similar to the gmyle peachpuff. For reference, here are two other slim cases I ordered - note the ebay one says "0.3 mm" ? If you search hard enough on ebay, you can now find as low as "0.2 mm" thickness. The Spigen TPU case for comparison is 0.5 mm.
The eBay one and the bomea one haven't gotten here yet. My idea for the bomea hard case is to wrap it in carbon fiber slick wraps which I already have waiting. But the bomea hard case is not thin enough to show off the curved back, which is a bummer.
We will see, but so far I am extremely happy with the gmyle case. Never been a case guy (always carried the phones naked with just a slick wrap) but with a case as thin as this one, the benefits of having a case outweigh the disadvantages.

OK guys, the "bomea" case came in, and it is gorgeous!
It doesn't protect the top and bottom, but I think I am OK with it, since the back glass seems to be the most fragile part of this phone (from drop tests so far).
Not covering the bottom means that it fits within the Gear VR perfectly. Which is an added bonus.
It is even thinner and less obtrusive than the "gmyle" case if that's possible.
It does show the curved back, which I was not expecting so that's a bonus.
It feels really nice in the hands too (soft texture). bomea and the gmyle are both keepers.
Bought an unbranded case identical to that for $1.40 from ebay

Has that ebay case arrived? For $1 plus free shipping, you can't really beat that. Looks just as thin as the case mentioned from Amazon
I'm using the Ringke Slim. Had one on a previous S4 and really liked it. Super thin but enough of a lip to elevate the screen when flipped over on a desktop.
I had ordered one of the $ .99 TPU cases from eBay but that may be weeks until it shows up.

Best Official OnePlus 6t Case

I'm torn between the Nylon, Red silicone, and the sandstone. What do you guys recommend and what are your experiences with them?

Another thumbs-up to OnePlus for fit & overall quality.
1) The finish is the star here, wish the phone itself had the same,as with the OG 1+1.
2) Low profile, adds little to the overall width/thickness of the phone.
Unlike a lot of 3rd party thin cases, this one feels substantial & secure,a reassuring "snap" when you install it,it's not going to pop-off unless you want to remove it.
3) The side edges are raised enough to place the phone face-down with confidence, but, does not get in the way of using the phone.
The rear camera is safe as well,it sits below the surface of the case.
If there was an achilles heel for this case,it would be the top & bottom edges of the phone are fully exposed.
That doesn't bother me,but,if I had a choice of one of the two edges to be covered,it would be the top, since there's nothing going on there anyway.
The buttons are exposed on the sides, but,I consider that an asset (& a necessity for the slider switch).
If I were rating this on a 5-Star system,I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5, a half point deducted for the top edge being exposed.
A definite buy, take your pick of color/finish,but,I find the sandstone to be the best in both looks & feel-in-hand/grippiness. :good:

:good:

Plus 1 for the sandstone, I loved the feeling of OnePlus One. I'm so glad they continue to make cases with the same texture.

Another thumbs-up to OnePlus for fit & overall quality.
1) The finish is the star here, wish the phone itself had the same,as with the OG 1+1.

Had the sandstone for my 5T. May have to bite the bullet and get it for my 6T.
I would have but i'm worried about the top and bottom
I just got mine today. It's great! This is just the kind of case I buy for all my phones.
I love that it's super slim, the texture, button cutouts, perfect fit, etc.
I bought the Nylon case, I wanted to have more durability and a nice look and this case is perfect for me. Thought about carbon too, but on the site it is rated that it is thicker.
Nylon case every time. Nice grip, not bulky, feels amazing, and you also get a micro fibre lining inside the case which is essential for stopping dirt from scratching your phone while the case is on. It also protects the top and bottom.
Used to love the sandstone case, but as it's hard plastic you will definitely end up with scratches and marks on your phone, especially on the soft metal frame, from tiny pieces of dirt. That has been the case since the OP5 onwards, as the anodized aluminium shows marks up more than the silver OP3/T used to.
Plus the only time I've dropped a phone in over 5 years with the OP6, I had sandstone case on, and the top edge got destroyed because the curve of the frame goes beyond the corners of the case.
Does anyone know if this case happens to interfere with a screen protector?

No.. All oneplus cases are compatible with official tamper glass screen protectors :good:
Pro tip: if you need drop protection go for bumper cases, others like the sandstone and other slim cases offer limited protection.

I got the nylon case and it is a little slick but I love it! Looks and feels so good! Wish the sandstone was full protection like the nylon case though

Another vote for the nylon case. Enough grip, good protection and still fits in my Klein belt pouch for work.

I ordered the Karbon protective case thinking it was the bumper case version. While i feel like it offers little to no drop protection, it is a nice smooth feel and makes the phone feel like my old Droid Maxx Dev Edition. I wish i had seen this post when i ordered. lol.
I've got the sandstone and nylon case. I like swapping cases every now and then and imo those two are just perfect. The sandstone is slim and grippy and the nylon case offers superb protection and looks awesome.
Another vote for nylon. I'm lovin' it!

Yeah nylon case is also one that I like, though I don't keep the case on most of the time. Nylon case give good protection and textured feel in the hand.

Spigen Tough Armor

Hey just wanted to give my two cents on the Spigen Tough Armor case.
I am a long term Spigen user and have yet to find a case from them that has disappointed, this one certainly keeps that reputation going!
For its price the quality is unbeatable, all the ports are cut accurately and generous enough to accept standard chargers and headphones. The buttons still have that awesome pixel tactile feeling as well. The only con I would give it is I wish the material of the initial layer would be a bit more rubbery to better absorb impacts, it feels closer to a hard plastic than a rubber.
With the two part construction and beefy corners protection is certainly up there with the best, keep in mind it is not minimalistic case and will add a decent amount of bulk, there are drawbacks to protection but I feel this case is a good medium ground between keeping the sleek look of the phone while maximizing durability.
ALSO; the kickstand is an awesome bonus that I never knew I can't live without. It stands the phone in the horizontal position at two different angles.
Here's the link I purchased it from (Amazon Canada, sorry)

Plus one. I had the tough armor for my v30. I was so happy with it I bought the pixel 3a xl version. I'm happy.
Since I got the purple-ish phone I wanted a clear case. The spigen liquid crystal is really nice. I normally hate cases, but I would rather be safe than sorry lately. So, using that and the LK branded screen protectors. Both work brilliantly together to offer great protection!

I just received mine this weekend--crystal clear. I really like it. I normally just use a skin to give it grip but decided to try this one even though it took about 2 wks to arrive. My son got the "rugged" version and is very happy with it. On both (and maybe any case), we get a more accurate first-time fingerprint read . I really missed the back-reader when I went to MOTO Z3 P, so looked forward to this one. Being a little smaller, it doesn't seem to read as easily as the N5X or N6P, but these cases seem to put the finger where its needed.
The Spigen liquid crystal presents a nice fit--no gaps--esp around the headphone jack as other clear covers I'd tried in the past. It's easy to get on/off but still sturdy with a cushiony feel. I'm sure this isn't a case for "droppers." We still haven't settled on a screen protector.

Oh trust me, you can drop your phone with this and it will be very well protected. I have used the "rugged" they call on the Pixel before and even that was plenty of cushion for quite a few drops on my S8+ (for the S8+, it was not called the rugged case). Don't be too worried, all of their cases are very protective and that is why I trust them. Wife and I both use Spigen, she always has iPhones and I have Androids and we have never had issues. Fitment is always amazing and protection is great as well.
If you can, get the LK screen protectors. Got mine from Amazon. They fit nicely and do not go too far out to the edges, "case safe." It was also pretty easy to install and it comes in a pack of 3.
Edit: if you ordered from either Spigen or Amazon, these cases had to be put in stock as this is a new phone. Normally it does not take long to receive items at all. I prefer ordering through Amazon because you get the Spigen items at a huge discount.
Have this case as well. I initially got a very cheap (less than 5 bucks) case while waiting for this to become available. I've stuck with Spigen ever since my Galaxy S5 and they never disappoint. These are always tough, sleek with a non-obnoxious design, and don't ruin the ability to easily get the phone in and out of your pocket.
This case is great! It's the one I am using.
I bought 3 cases for the P3aXL.
Spigen Tough Armor
Incipio
NiuBox Armor Slim Fit Dual Layer
Spigen was very good. Didn't like the feel of the buttons.
Incipio was a POS fingerprint magnet. Sucked
NiuBox is great!.I love the buttons and the textured feel of the case! It has chrome buttons that look really nice. They really stick out a lot and are so easy to use. The fingerprint reader is angled slightly down. I like it this way. Kept this case and returned the other 2.
Case currently not installed. Waiting on a sim card from Tello.com

This is what I purchased for mine.. Pixel 3a/ 3a XL | Spigen® [Rugged Armor] Matte Black Shockproof Slim Case Cover. I personally would have purchased a Tech21, I think they are great as well.. Had one for the Note4 back in the day. But Spigen will be my first ever from them.. So far nice easy to put on and fits like a glove.. The way a case should fit.
I get the wanting a case design that you're used to - in my case. it's the SUPCASE UNICORN BEETLE PRO. I have one for the Galaxy S7 Snapdragon (that my incoming 3a XL will replace); naturally, I'll be getting one for the 3a XL. In addition to being a tank of a case at a reasonable price (even on Amazon, it's under $20USD - and that includes the clip-on belt-loop holster) the only lack is a screen-protector (which - for me - is no lack). It also can hide a color choice that you got *stuck* with. (In the case of the S7, it is an ex-Verizon Bold Gold model - complete with the Verizon logo - rather ignominious since the phone itself has T-Mobile firmware in it; therefore I went with Basic (almost "Batman") Black then - I'm sticking with the same color choice for the 3a XL - which will actually match the phone's Just Black.) The S7 is the only cell phone I've ever owned that *wasn't* black (the first cell phone I ever owned was pre-Android - a black Samsung SCH prepaid I bought at Radio Shack; the first Android phone I ever owned was a passed-down Galaxy Nexus in black) - in other words, I don't buy black phones to buck trends - in my case, buying black phones IS the trend.
I just ordered this case. Looks like it has great rubber protection just like the case I had for a Nexus 6. Dropped that N6 a quite a few time times.

I grabbed one as well for my 3a XL, love this case. The only con I can think of is it's hard to find the volume buttons sometimes. The power button is textured which makes it easy to feel it.
I had an Axon 7 for the past 3 years, used nothing but the cheapest cases with a kick stand. This Spigen case feels a lot more premium and looks great.

Accessories what case are you using/getting?

I have the spigen rugged armor case. it is protective but slippery. i like the protection and the fact that it has holes for a lanyard, which i use a dsptch quick release wrist strap that i actually use as a neck strap when i'm on a photo outing. but i'm just not happy with it being slippery. i wonder why neither sony or their suppliers here in the us sell the sony style cover. i would be willing to try it.
anyways, any recommendations for a case? i'd actually like to go caseless but am too afraid of scratching the camera lens or cracking the screen. here in the us sony isn't a popular smartphone brand and getting repairs done i imagine won’t be easy.
I got the Caseology Vault case because it was the only thing I could get next day when my phone came in, didn't expect to like it but it's actually really nice. Good "sandstone" texture on the bottom 2/3 of it, pretty grippy and pleasant to hold.
I personally am used to this Japan brand design, as I generally held my phone around the edge.
Top: G10 Choro
Bottom: Aluminum
These 2 are essentially different in materials, design wise is similar. They added texture on slanted surface to help grip, only the outerst vertical face is smooth flat.
G10 Chrono material is new to me, feels a lot friction when fingers come in contact, and it's also lighter then aluminum version.
So, at the end I'm giving G10 Chrono version a try as of current useage.
I do still apply a glass protector on the front, and soft film on the back to get my phone fully covered.
(drop protection wise, this design of bumper, as long as dropping on flat surface, it'll always the bumper come in contact first, never the phone. If there is object / pointy rocks / etc. then yes there are probability that phone would be come in contact then)

Phone in G10 Chrono, fits perfectly, and its case button is easy to press also.
I just got a spigen rugged armor. It's good so far. But it generates dust on top, and the sides are raised, so it's not great for gestures. Can anyone recommend a good tempered glass screen protector? I figure it could raise the screen so edges will not be such a problem..

Came to post the very same case, which is the one I got.
I hate cases--ruins the svelt size and premium feel of a good phone. I doubt they provide a ton of protection, but these carbon fiber cases are genuinely thin and add no perceptible bulk, and actually feel quite nice in the hand.
From my experience, cases damage the phone more than they protect it if you take good care of them. I gave up using cases because dirt always finds a way to get in and scuff the metal sides. If you never drop the phone or place it over rough surface, the phone stays pristine.
Removing the case to clean it often also rubs and scratches the paint on the sides, so I don't understand why so many people use cases and I don't understand why cases with cloth on the inside aren't more popular.
Edit: not to mention how much I hate giving up the premium feel of metal when holding the phone instead of feeling cheap plastic all over the phone.
Chiming in to say I have both the Spigen Rugged Armor and Caseology Vault case and have used them for a short period of time, both feels nice in the hand. Can't conclusively say which is better, so I'll still need to try it for some time
One thing i noticed (or maybe it's just me), is that the Spigen case have a slightly higher depth for the camera bump (presumably to protect the lens from accidental scratching)

Does it work with this wireless charging case?
Haven't tested wireless charging, sorry. Probably the manufacturer has specified if it does, and/or someone has asked/answered that question on the product page on Amaazon? That said, I thought these sort of cases generally work with wireless charging--again though, haven't tried it myself.

I'm with you. I've ran my last several phones without a case because I could never find one I liked. I wasn't even sure when I ordered this one, but so far I absolutely love it. Kept the phone light and small and really like the texture
Bought a few clear TPU cases, one Aioria leather. But then I also ordered a carbon fiber skin case from Ali Express a couple of months back that just showed up. Keeps the slim design and premium look. Less than $25, but will take at least a couple of months to arrive.
I bought the Spigen Rugged Amor and the CYRILL by Spigen 'Stone' colour, knowing that they're both essentially Spigen. They obviously use the same moulds so the fit is identical for each. No problem with the power button recess or a loose fit.
The CYRILL has a slightly raised bump around the camera hole and the side grips are vertical, so run the length of the phone. It's a lighter slate grey colour, but the back is all one matte shade, instead of the Rugged Armor with its tacky fake carbon fibre effect patches. I hate how they do that. However, the matte effect finish of the main part of the back panel on the Rugged Armor feels really nice, and the side grips are a nice diagonal hatched effect which feels very nice.
Personally, I wish Spigen had already brought a Liquid Air case to market for the X1M3, I love the subtle back panel design and I have them on all my other phones. Hopefully in due course. The Caseology looked nearly identical to the Rugged Armor for even more money, so I skipped that.
I fitted the Spigen AlignMaster (GLAStR) screen protector this evening - like all protectors, the curse of tiny dust particles and a few small hairs, but this time the included adhesive "dust removal" stickers was an absolute blessing. It took about a dozen minor dust removals after applying the main protector, but it's now on and perfect.
I'm mixed about the Spigen's black panels top and bottom, I don't really see why they're there as they add nothing to the design and require a totally aligned fit to avoid cutting off screen edges. However, the alignment frame which comes with the protector makes it so simple to place the glass on to the screen and get it 100% aligned, I wasn't that bothered.
I also bought the 3 pack of PULEN protectors; they're much more basic, standard "tempered glass 9H" style affairs. Slightly sharper edges than the Spigen protector, though the Spigen one isn't totally bevelled either. You would want to use a case. to avoid catching an edge and lifting the protector off the screen.
The Spigen protector fits snugly into a Spigen case, as expected. If you're aligning by hand and using a TPU case, you may want to apply the glass with the phone in the case.
