Spigen Tough Armor - Google Pixel 3a XL Accessories

Hey just wanted to give my two cents on the Spigen Tough Armor case.
I am a long term Spigen user and have yet to find a case from them that has disappointed, this one certainly keeps that reputation going!
For its price the quality is unbeatable, all the ports are cut accurately and generous enough to accept standard chargers and headphones. The buttons still have that awesome pixel tactile feeling as well. The only con I would give it is I wish the material of the initial layer would be a bit more rubbery to better absorb impacts, it feels closer to a hard plastic than a rubber.
With the two part construction and beefy corners protection is certainly up there with the best, keep in mind it is not minimalistic case and will add a decent amount of bulk, there are drawbacks to protection but I feel this case is a good medium ground between keeping the sleek look of the phone while maximizing durability.
ALSO; the kickstand is an awesome bonus that I never knew I can't live without. It stands the phone in the horizontal position at two different angles.
Here's the link I purchased it from (Amazon Canada, sorry)

Let me know if you've got any other questions!

Plus one. I had the tough armor for my v30. I was so happy with it I bought the pixel 3a xl version. I'm happy.

Since I got the purple-ish phone I wanted a clear case. The spigen liquid crystal is really nice. I normally hate cases, but I would rather be safe than sorry lately. So, using that and the LK branded screen protectors. Both work brilliantly together to offer great protection!

I just received mine this weekend--crystal clear. I really like it. I normally just use a skin to give it grip but decided to try this one even though it took about 2 wks to arrive. My son got the "rugged" version and is very happy with it. On both (and maybe any case), we get a more accurate first-time fingerprint read . I really missed the back-reader when I went to MOTO Z3 P, so looked forward to this one. Being a little smaller, it doesn't seem to read as easily as the N5X or N6P, but these cases seem to put the finger where its needed.
The Spigen liquid crystal presents a nice fit--no gaps--esp around the headphone jack as other clear covers I'd tried in the past. It's easy to get on/off but still sturdy with a cushiony feel. I'm sure this isn't a case for "droppers." We still haven't settled on a screen protector.

Oh trust me, you can drop your phone with this and it will be very well protected. I have used the "rugged" they call on the Pixel before and even that was plenty of cushion for quite a few drops on my S8+ (for the S8+, it was not called the rugged case). Don't be too worried, all of their cases are very protective and that is why I trust them. Wife and I both use Spigen, she always has iPhones and I have Androids and we have never had issues. Fitment is always amazing and protection is great as well.
If you can, get the LK screen protectors. Got mine from Amazon. They fit nicely and do not go too far out to the edges, "case safe." It was also pretty easy to install and it comes in a pack of 3.
Edit: if you ordered from either Spigen or Amazon, these cases had to be put in stock as this is a new phone. Normally it does not take long to receive items at all. I prefer ordering through Amazon because you get the Spigen items at a huge discount.

Have this case as well. I initially got a very cheap (less than 5 bucks) case while waiting for this to become available. I've stuck with Spigen ever since my Galaxy S5 and they never disappoint. These are always tough, sleek with a non-obnoxious design, and don't ruin the ability to easily get the phone in and out of your pocket.

This case is great! It's the one I am using.

I bought 3 cases for the P3aXL.
Spigen Tough Armor
Incipio
NiuBox Armor Slim Fit Dual Layer
Spigen was very good. Didn't like the feel of the buttons.
Incipio was a POS fingerprint magnet. Sucked
NiuBox is great!.I love the buttons and the textured feel of the case! It has chrome buttons that look really nice. They really stick out a lot and are so easy to use. The fingerprint reader is angled slightly down. I like it this way. Kept this case and returned the other 2.
Case currently not installed. Waiting on a sim card from Tello.com

This is what I purchased for mine.. Pixel 3a/ 3a XL | Spigen® [Rugged Armor] Matte Black Shockproof Slim Case Cover. I personally would have purchased a Tech21, I think they are great as well.. Had one for the Note4 back in the day. But Spigen will be my first ever from them.. So far nice easy to put on and fits like a glove.. The way a case should fit.

I get the wanting a case design that you're used to - in my case. it's the SUPCASE UNICORN BEETLE PRO. I have one for the Galaxy S7 Snapdragon (that my incoming 3a XL will replace); naturally, I'll be getting one for the 3a XL. In addition to being a tank of a case at a reasonable price (even on Amazon, it's under $20USD - and that includes the clip-on belt-loop holster) the only lack is a screen-protector (which - for me - is no lack). It also can hide a color choice that you got *stuck* with. (In the case of the S7, it is an ex-Verizon Bold Gold model - complete with the Verizon logo - rather ignominious since the phone itself has T-Mobile firmware in it; therefore I went with Basic (almost "Batman") Black then - I'm sticking with the same color choice for the 3a XL - which will actually match the phone's Just Black.) The S7 is the only cell phone I've ever owned that *wasn't* black (the first cell phone I ever owned was pre-Android - a black Samsung SCH prepaid I bought at Radio Shack; the first Android phone I ever owned was a passed-down Galaxy Nexus in black) - in other words, I don't buy black phones to buck trends - in my case, buying black phones IS the trend.

I just ordered this case. Looks like it has great rubber protection just like the case I had for a Nexus 6. Dropped that N6 a quite a few time times.

It is not soft rubber. I don't like that case. Hate the volume buttons. Did not put it on.

I grabbed one as well for my 3a XL, love this case. The only con I can think of is it's hard to find the volume buttons sometimes. The power button is textured which makes it easy to feel it.
I had an Axon 7 for the past 3 years, used nothing but the cheapest cases with a kick stand. This Spigen case feels a lot more premium and looks great.

Post pictures of your DNA with your case.

Surprising we don't have thread like this for DNA yet.
So its simple. Post photos of your cases, pouches, flip covers, skins with the DNA and also please do post the source / link from where you got it so it can help others to buy the same if they like it.
Cheers! Will post mine soon.
From my Note 2, right in your face....
I need people to post pics so i can get case ideas....
I'll bite.
This is the Incipio Feather Case.
I paid $23, from DayDeal.com. You can find it on Amazon and, for a little less, on eBay. I was able to drive to DayDeal and pick it up, so I saved shipping charges, and didn't have to wait (I can be very patient, as long as I don't have to wait). DayDeal has also treated me very well in the past, so I'm happy to give them my business, even if it costs me a few bucks.
Comes in Gray, Black, Hot Pink and Blue.
If you're looking for the thinnest, lightest case other then simply putting stickers on the back of your DNA, this case is probably it.
I'm not really sure how much protection it'll provide. I do have another case, which I used when I was on a recent trip skiing, but for day to day use, I really like this case! It retains the sleek look and feel of the DNA, even retaining the curved shape of the back of the DNA. Soft touch paint provides a more firm grip in your hand, something that was lacking in the similar Nillkin case I have. I purchased the smooth Nillkin case (they do have one with dots on the back, but I didn't care for how it looks), and always felt like it was about to slip out of my fingers (came close a couple of times)... the Feather case has no such problems!
If you're looking for a case which you can drop your DNA on concrete, and not flinch, this ain't it!
If you're looking to keep your DNA slim and light, while providing some additional protection, especially from scratches to the back... you may want to give this one a look.
Positives:
Soft touch paint
Ultra thin
lightweight
Displays red highlights of the DNA
Inductive charging works fine with case
Negatives:
Top and bottom edges partially exposed
Doesn't provide maximum protection
Power and volume buttons exposed
Back LED concealed

Nice I'm going to look for that incipio case ASAP but here's my case mate case bought from a Verizon store in NH

I have a couple. A standard case with a built in stand. It came with a holster, which i would never use. Purchased directly from Verizon corporate store. It has a nice design that aids in gripping the phone.
Not too much of a lip
I like how designers gave the user a little extra room past the vol up and vol dn rocker
Corner protection leaves much to be desired
Is everyone's flap chipping away like mine? I had to let a fingernail grow out just to pop this thing out
Here's how the back looks with the stand pulled out
Then there is the Otter Box, again purchased from the Verizon store.
The standard 3-piece fare
Finally, fully clothed
This is what I am bummed about.
Lot of nice looking cases, but most dont have cutout for the back notification light
Those that do have it, all look like crap.

A little quick work with a drill and that can be solved.
My Trident Aegis case has a cutout in the back for the light.
Got the Incipio dual case, ordered direct from Incipio to get the color combo. Was a little worried about grey/electric green with the employee edition red but in natural light it actually looks pretty cool. You can only see it from the back or looking up at the charging port area. I work for VZW so I'm hoping we'll starting carrying these for the DNA like we do for all the other phones so I can pick up a black/black with my discount.
It adds just a bit of bulk, the soft touch is very nice (similar to the feather the guy further up has) The power button is a lot easier now as well. The case tapers with the phone so it still has that nice feel in the hand, just a bit thicker.
Ballistic HTC Droid DNA SG MAXX

Poetic Atmosphere Case for HTC Droid DNA
I bought the Poetic Atmosphere Case for HTC Droid DNA from Amazon for $7 and just received it today. It is a really nice case and fits the DNA perfectly. It adds almost no bulk to the DNA while providing average protection for daily use. The Poetic case also accommodates the rear LED notification light. The back of the case is transparent and a bit slippery while the sides are gray. There are raised buttons for the power and volume buttons. Pictures are available on Amazon. Here is the info from Amazon:
Made of polycarbonate and thermoplastic polyurethane
Transparent durable material
Grey borders surround the edges
Customer built-in volume control buttons
Raised knobs on each corner to protect from surface scratches.
Comparing it to the Ballistic SG Case that I'm currently using, It is a much sleeker case, but the Ballistic SG Case offers more protection at the expense of more bulk. The Ballistic SG Case seems to be squeezing the DNA a bit too tightly and might be causing the bluish splotches on the DNA screen. However, I do feel more at ease if the DNA is in the Ballistic case than the Poetic case. I'll post pictures later when I get a chance.

Picked up a Nillkin hard case for ten bucks off eBay. Usually go for more protection, but this one's done a good job so far. I also didn't want something that put a stack of pressure on the sides of the phone:
Well worth the ten bucks, the included screen protector goes well also.

Nexus 6 - unicorn beetle hybrid protective bumper case review

Hi Gang,
I tried submitting this to Supcase itself on the product page of their website, but they have reCaptcha issues, I couldn't so it - So I was able to submit to them via the form for contacting them, which didn't have the same issue.
I figured that it could also be used here. Link to product (get through Amazon though, cheaper) and review I typed up:
http://www.supcase.com/google-nexus-6-unicorn-beetle-clear-bumper-protective-case.html
"New Nexus 6, and wanted a good looking case to go with it. Over at XDA Developers, the discussion drifted towards several, however the Supcase Hybrid jumped out at a lot of us besides myself.
I cannot speak to actual protection, nor do I really want to find out, however the case arrived 1 day before the phone, and my thoughts follow after 2 days of use (I have the Frosted Black):
Awesome aesthetics! - From the bevels on the front edges of the lips at the screen edge to the overall looks and integration of the outer PC ring to the TPU shell, it just looks fantastic. It doesn't, in my opinion, add any real size to the phone itself. The ridges give it some grip, and the TPU seems to be grippy enough for me (especially if you have a little sweat as you are getting used to handling this beast).
The cutouts work well, I only noticed a slight misalignment of the microphone hole on the back, that could be just due to the phone, or manufacturing, but overall it is not a deal breaker, enough of it is there to make it only noticeable as if one is writing a review, in operation no one would be able to tell (there are those who would just drill it out a bit and issue solved, I don't feel it necessary.)
Having the dimple for the Motorola symbol and the camera cutout make great reference points for using your hand holding it if not taking a pic/video, the phone is well balanced and once you have had it a couple of days you know what you can and shouldn't do with it in that regard. (I use Voice to text a lot, so I do not feel the urge to do one handed typing).
The power button and volume rocker are tight - in a good way - meaning you definitely have a solid feel to both. While others feel that the power button should have a different feel, or ridges on it to separate it from the rocker, my feeling on this is that for this phone, you only have the power and volume rocker, is it really that hard to know what you have slid your finger onto? (Realistically I would have preferred if Moto had placed the volume rocker on the other side as like my old Galaxy Nexus, that accomplished separation, plus if Supcase had made one like this for that phone, each side would lend to give leverage to the other when pressing, I'm saying those buttons are solid, and that's what you want.
I chose the frosted over the black/black, because I want to see the nexus logo, and they didn't disappoint, the phone I have is blue however the frosted areas give it a grey tone even in direct sunlight, and it complements the black outer PC ring. Outstanding.
The only negativity I can find is that on my unit after two days, the upper PC lip seems to be slightly "up" from the phone, this is, I feel, due to me having taken the case off a couple of times, my method was to push te top of the screen up and then corners over to then slide off, it may be that it should be set and forget, but this is not a deal breaker either, it has to give a bit to get onto and off the phone, but it is on, and on good, it's not going anywhere.
That's it for my review - If you want a minimal case to use with the phone that looks great, this is the one to get, as stated I cant say how well it would protect your phone, I've only dropped a phone once, and don't want to try this one, but for the cost they offer for it, you get every penny."
Marc
Nice ?
This is my favorite case so far on this phone. I use the clear one on my white N6 and it looks awesome.
Now if only someone had pics of the red one (cant find anything online). And if only someone had pictures of any color with carbon fiber skin showing through.

I don't have pictures of red one, but my buddy bought exactly the same case for his Note 4, red one, and... well... in reality it looks more pinkish than redish... long story short, he went back to his old case after a week because of the color.

Thx for the fast response. Those were nice but I wanted skinnier. I ordered Ringke slim gunmetal. Ok, no? It's not for major drop protection I mainly just want to minimize case scratches.

I saw this case and immediately ordered it. It'll get here before my N6 will . :crying:
I'm kind of a case whore though, and will probably buy several others before all is said and done. With my Nexus 5, I had 13 cases. Nice little review, thanks.
Ordered on Saturday, received it today. Love Amazon 1 day shipping (was actually free for me on Prime).
First impressions, it is a really nice premium case. It feels good in the hands, buttons are nice to press on (not as nice as Ringke Fusion but better than Spigen Ultra Hybrid). Doesn't add much bulk, plays nice with my tempered glass protector, cutouts are perfect. The dimple is properly aligned with the case. So far I'm pretty impressed and this is probably the best case in my opinion that shows off the back of the phone.
The camera cutout could be further in but is deep enough to withstand a drop if the phone was to be dropped. The phone with the case inside feel good in the hands.

Yea same here, kind of surprising, had never seen free one day shipping before. But ordered yesterday and got it today.
So far, love it. I also ordered a ringke slim and a spigen slim armor. The ringke is easily the smallest case as it is really slim, but it also feels like a cheapish piece of plastic. The spigen was good, but a little bit hefty and the buttons on it were terrible.
This is inbetween in size. Small enough that the added bulk doesn't make the phone seem too big, but enough to feel it offers some food protection. It feels good in the hand and looks great. The buttons are a bit stuff but pretty good.
The only real downside is the small microphone? hole near the bottom of the back is slightly misaligned, as the op said.
Can you guys please compare to the ringe fusion?
Also interested in the difference in bulk between this and the fusion
Supcase feels a little thicker but I think its more that the material is harder. It definitely feels slightly bulkier than the fusion.
Just received mine. First case for my nexus as I just received it today too but damn does it feel good. Buttons feel nice and love the clear back to show off the white. Deff slim and love the way its perfectly designed for the nexus with the indent on the back.
I have the PRO SERIES an man is it good! I've had it on since a week after I got the phone. Only complaint is the camera hole is to long (all the way to the Moto symbol). But the protection is there, feel is good, grip is excellent, all cutouts are lined up great! Add the fact that our N6's are water resistant! I'm feeling safe!

There's a difference, but it's not a bad difference. It's bulkier than the Fusion but still very much slim and easy to hold in 1 hand.

Major comparisons:
1. Buttons on the Ringke Fusion is a lot better, it's clicky. But by no means that the Supcase buttons are bad, they're actually pretty good and nice to press but Fusion is clicky.
2. The Ringke Fusion back is prone to scratches very easily and depending on what color you get. Crystal View may become "yellowish" over time.
3. The dust covers aren't on the Supcase which is a ++++. Yeah you can cut it off but that's kinda cheap.
4. The Nexus 6 "dimple" is present on the Supcase which is really cool, makes the N6 easier to hold on.
5. Supcase has more grip and feels better in the hands. It is slightly more bulky but doesn't add much bulk when compared to a Spigen Slim Armor or something. Very easy to type with one hand and hold with excellent grip.
I love the look of this case (always have) but I'm concerned with the amount of protection it provides vs the Diztronic Ultra I ended up buying on release back at the end of Nov or beginning of Dec (whenever it came out.. Can't remember).

Post the case you have/will get for your Idol 3

I've been doing some digging around. So far there are a lot of holster cases and phone carrying cases out there but I am more of a minimalist so I have kept searching. In the past 24 hours, I did see the following cases which caught my eye:
Black Case

Clear Frosted Cased
I like the black case overall, but the fact that the Clear Frosted case has 'Idol' engraved on it gives it extra appeal. Personally I'm hoping that a bumper is released soon so that I can show off the fancy back to the Idol 3
I usually go naked nowadays, but I was eyeing the official Alcatel clear shell. Looks pretty thin, and only $12.

Yeah I liked that one a lot. I hope that they release some more pics of it closer to the release just to be sure.
I have gone without a case here and there but a few reviewers have mentioned the phone can feel slippery at times and so I don't want to risk it.
Going naked with this one. That's the great thing about it being cheap! I did tweet Slick Wraps if they had any plans about supporting this phone. They said they will see how popular it is and they will decide. Imagine black leather on the back of this!
Ever since I got into less expensive unlocked phones I don't use cases much. I get to enjoy the phones as they were meant to be. I have been using a HUAWEI Ascend Mate 2, ZTE ZMAX, and LG L90, all without cases or screen protectors.

I do think that screen protectors are the biggest scam unless you buy a phone with the intention of reselling it every time.

Seriously? When I buy a used phone, the condition of the screen is the single biggest factor to me! Not to mention that some devices feel better to the finger with a tempered glass protector installed. It seems a very logical investment in $5-$10 to get a good screen protector right away.
---------- Post added at 05:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:46 PM ----------
To your original question, I'm going to at least put on a cheap TPU case on the new Idol 3 (if indeed I end up keeping it). Since it's slippery and already thin, a slim case will be a helpful, unobtrusive addition. But there's not much out there just yet.

That is the point I am making. For me, the only purpose of a screen protector imo is for resale value. Outside of that I feel like it is a detriment to the aesthetics/user experience.

Idol is not engraved, but rather "showing" through from the back of phone. Check the other pictures and you will see no engraving. I have ordered this; going to check the fit with the case in my Seidio SURFACE Holster for Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Currently using this holster for my OPO with a Diztronic Full Matte Black Flexible TPU Case for OnePlus One and it is a good fit. I find the 5.5." display phones (I didn't say phablet on purpose!) do better in a holster rather than my pocket. Just a preference thing I guess.
naked all the way, the idol 3 is really thin and I'd like to keep it that way. I've had the moto g naked and just a few small scratches. the idol 3 has dragontail glass which should prevent scratches anyway

Dragontail should prevent scratches, I'm more concerned about drops because the backing of the phone is a tad bit slippery based on a few reviews.
that case don"t look that bad,,how about tempered glass?
Ended up buying a cheapo case from eBay as well as the official case from Alcatel's website. The weird thing about the website is that it doesn't allow you to put anything into your shopping cart until you create an account.
Very good

Don't suppose you'd share which case you purchased and was it from overseas? I'm trying to find a cheap transparent hard back case but would consider others....I'm trying to avoid having to wait 30+ days for a case from overseas when my phone should be here in a week or so.
Also does anyone have suggestions for a rugged leather belt holster? I'm unsure what other model phone's have a similar enough footprint as there don't appear to be any out for the idol 3 yet.

My original post has a link to the eBay purchase from overseas (China) that I made. Other than that, I got the translucent hard case directly from Alcatel. Neither have arrived yet. If you are in a hurry, the original post I made (LK case from Amazon) apparently ships quickly. I saw a few people on reddit/slickdeals who said that they have received their cases already. Also, I'd dig deeper into Amazon if you are interested in a belt holster. I may have seen one or two of those on there but I didn't post it up since I don't wear belt holsters.
My $3.99 eBay case came in the mail yesterday (7 days after placing my order). I might cancel my $11 official shell case order from Alcatel because this looks like it'll do the trick. Gotta get the phone and see how it feels first I suppose, but I like the feel of the matte on the back as well as how the translucent sides contrast the matte back. Makes it look less cheap than a completely translucent model. Also, no company labeling on the case which is something that turned me off of the LK cases on Amazon.
The dual layer lightning knight or whatever one doesn't fit right for me.
I'm happy w/ the frosted clear Lightning King case. The fit is perfect, and the buttons function very well. TPU cases I'e had on old phones always made actuating the buttons difficult, but not this one.
I'd really like a transparent TPU case, but I think the official Alcatel one plastic rather than TPU, since it's a "shell".
Amazon cacnceled official case order
I had pre-ordered the official Alcatel transparent case from Amazon, today got notice from Amazon that they have to cancel the order. Amazon status now shows not available. Anyone actually manage to get one of these cases, from Amazon or direct from Alcatel?

OnePlus 5 Spigen, Orzly & Tudia case reviews

Hi all,
Now I've had a few more cases come through the door, I thought this would be the opportune moment to start a new thread up and take any questions. I'll be adding the case reviews/thoughts as they come through!
Before I start, you can check out the reviews which were done at the start of the month on the cases that came through first here:
OnePlus 5 Official Protective Cases (Karbon, Sandstone, Ebony Wood)
OnePlus 5 Otterbox & Silicone Protective Case (w/ Orzly/OnePlus TGSP TEST)
OnePlus 5 Orzly FlexiCase & Wallet Case First Look and Review
OnePlus 5 SLEO Hard Case
Spigen Rugged Armor
I'm still awaiting Spigen to put up for sale the rest of their case line in the UK, so for now, the Rugged Armor is the only case I've managed to grab from them. It's very similar to the OnePlus 3 version in pretty much every way!
The Rugged Armor is one large TPU case, it adds a reasonable level of bulk, but also provides a reasonable level of protection. One of my favourite cases so far!
Orzly SlimStand Case
This was a case I bought effectively so I could review it for you guys, however I've found myself using it A LOT. The case itself feels premium, well designed and thing but at the same time I'm happy that it'll provide some impact protection. If it were just the case, I'd be happy- but Orzly have gone a step further and added a stand on to the back of it.
The ringstand on the back of the case, seems to be stuck on well (I've shaken it quite a fair bit) and you can rotate it so you can stand the phone up in multiple different ways. I like it, and I like it even more at the moment as they seem to be selling it for £$4.99
Tudia MERGE Case
Another case that I reviewed last year on the OnePlus 3! As with Spigen & Orzly, I've got other cases on order but Tudia's shipping isn't it's strong point. It took them almost a month to get this case to me, so I'm holding out very little hope that the OMNIX I ordered will be delivered any time soon.
That being said, the case itself is sold, made of two different parts and will provide an adequate level of protection to most people. Be aware that if you've got a skin on your phone, it'll likely rip it off as you remove the case!
MY FAVOURITE: ORZLY FUSION BUMPER
I'll be adding to this post over the next month as more cases arrive!
Amazing.
Waiting spigen neo hybrid case

I've just got the silm stand case and I'm actually loving it.
It sounds stupid but it so slim! It's like a protective skin!
The Orzly Fusion case came through today, unfortunately my video camera seems to have given up the ghost. Whilst I try and find some sort of replacement; I've grabbed some photos so you can take a look.
This is absolutely my FAVOURITE case so far. Absolutely worth the purchase in my view!

Great to hear! Would you mind telling me exactly how grippy it is? I see little bits sticking out where your hand would usually rest. I take a lot of photos so if it's grippy that's a win win!

While I'm not Jono I could answer this.
The zones with extra grip on them are really grippy. I can basically shake my phone with minimal pressure from my hands and it will stay in place. It was a smart idea to put that extra grip where you hand would rest

Thanks. How comfortable are the grippy bits? grips van go either way. While I much prefer a phone case to be grippy instead of slippy, in my experience there are different types of grip depending on how soft they are. (grippy bits made of harder plastic materials can sort of stick into your hand and get uncomfortable after a while, but the more softer rubbery types of grip tend to grip well in a way that is really comfortable). Being as you've actually used one of these, which of the two types would you say these are?
They look like the nice soft type in the photos, but I always prefer to hear from hands on experience.
Thanks.
I have the original Bumper Case but my only concern with it is the camera lens on the back. This case is so slim it doesn't raise any protection agains't lens scratches.
Looking at these videos, I like the raised protection on the camera lens of the Spigen case. Sure it is bulky but I rather that and have a good protection.

I want to say a mixture of the two? The grippy bits are hard but feel like the rest its made of soft touch like the rest of the case. Definitely doesn't get uncomfortable in the hand.
I upgraded to the OP5 from the OnePlus 2, which endured a TON of drops thanks to it's variation of the Spigen Rugged case. I got the OP5 variation soon after buying it, hoping for a similar experience, and I'm glad to say that it's given me just that. Great case, great design and doesn't add a whole lot of weight either.

Yeah, that's the main thing.
On a side note, just an amusing after thought...
Anyone just catching the last sentence hearing us go on about how grippy hard and soft it is might wonder what in the hell we were talking about if they heard that out of context!! (so just for the record, we're talking about the Orzly Fusion case) ......honest!!

PITAKA Price: 79,99€

Has anyone had any experience with one of these protective covers?
Are there any restrictions regarding a glass screen protector, because of the curved design, to what degree the protective cover may/should go?
My personal favorite is the PITAKA case, as far as the design accents are concerned, but as far as the protection is concerned, I would prefer the REUTERSON, as it protects the entire side of the device. As for the price, I find the CENMASO the fairest. It offers almost complete protection at the edge like the REUTERSON but is half the price.
Edit: (10.02.2023)
#PITAKA
So I have tried the PITAKA hull, my conclusion.
The case looks very chic, but I am very bothered that the case protects the sides only half ( under the volume buttons), is completely closed at the bottom (strongly protruding) and feels very slippery overall.

Ordered for another make and i will post quality when it arrives. Made in Ukraine and comms been good so far. I will probably order for 23 ultra when i see the one i ordered
Ordered spigen amored opti case for 23. Fits my current 22 well. However its quite slippy in the hand.
I ordered the Mous case for s23U as it's supposed to be strong, they produce their own screen protectors so don't have to worry about compatibility with case. Also really wanted something with magnets so I can use a magnetic car holder.
I have ordered that case from the link below. It was recommended by other guy on discord S23 ultra group. I will post my experience when it arrives

I'm sticking with the same Spigen Tough Armor I've had on every device I've had since I stopped using UAG cases that kept falling apart on my Android devices when I got my iPhone 8 Plus.

I also really like that it has cutouts for each of the three main cameras because I've seen many people complain about getting junk caught in the rings on the S22 Ultra and since this is a Designed For Samsung case, it means that Spigen worked directly with Samsung to make it so it should be precision cuts everywhere. I also just really like the look of the individual camera rings as opposed to just having a chunk missing there.
Waiting caseborne case to test
Tried samsung original case transparent, feels very solid on my s23U
Unless, Amazon sent me a S22 ultra case, even though the box and the listing said a s23 ultra case, it works perfectly fine on my s22 ultra.
So if it is indeed a s23 case, then I dont see any reason a s22 case should be fine

Which is odd since a S23U case fits pretty good on a S22U. The only difference I can tell is the extra cut out for the pin hole next the charger.
The side buttons there is not enough of a change, even with a slight alignment difference, the buttons works as they should with the case on.

Some flexible cases may have a (poor) fit, as dimensions are just slightly different. For a proper fit you would want aS23U case.

I had two of them, PITAKA and one form unbox therapy also one more cheap from China(aliexpress) let me share my thoughts:
- if you want to protect your phone AND keep it in nice condition, then forget about that case. Material is so hard that any type of sand/grain/dust will scratch sides/corners of your phone.
- those cases are quite bad, there is literally no difference between pitaka/unbox therapy and china besides price, chinese one was IMO best and costed 12gbp instead of 50 lol.
I am choosing ringke onyx and their screen protector, cheap and should be quite secure. I was going to choose spigen once again, however it is too bulky.

Carbon fiber cases look sick, but I wonder what level of protection they offer? I have a generic transparent silicone cover on just right now, and it looks that it would bounce if I drop the phone accidentally.
When I look at all the carbon cases, unfortunately, they all do not look safe, the frame usually goes on the sides to under the volume buttons, clearly silicone is safer and better, it wraps especially usually completely the sides of the phone.
According to the pictures on the website, at least the carbon goes over the volume buttons in the Reuterson case. The only question is whether it will be the same for S23... on the website the picture seems to be of the S22 Ultra.
I also ordered the Spiegn transparent case first and am waiting for the reviews regarding the carbon cases.

That's a great choice. I used the Spigen tough armor case for the last two Samsung phones I had. Also love how the case goes around all the camera rings looks special. Was very tempted to go for this case again but really struggle to find a good screen protector that is compatible with this case. Will you be using a screen protector, and if yes which one?
I chose Imbzbk because of the reviews. Price / performance is thus at 10 € / per glass film. I am curious when my Samsung arrives how my equipment will fit. I will report back.
