Better stylus for Wizard - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Accessories

My previous handset was the MDA III, and the stylus on this handset and other MDA's seem to be pretty solid, but not the one on the Wizard, which i find very small and flimsy.
Anyone aware of any other better more solid stylus's made for the Wizard.

no
I doubt one exists if you want it to fit in the silo. It may be possible to make one longer if you went to a 3 section telescope, but that would only make it flimsier.

Have you seen this one?

I was thinking about getting one.

I lost both of my K-Jam Styli. I went to buy a pack of 3 from Expansys but they supplied me with Jam ones instead.
Well luckily the Jam has a better stylus and it fits quite nicely behind the K-jam in my Krussel case. So I'm using that one instead.

i removed the ink from a biro, and melted the end into a fine smooth tip with a lighter! works brilliantly and goes into any shirt pocket/pencil case etc. and it was free cos i took it from work!

Not as inventive as benjdc, but I've been using this for the last week or so
http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=XDAMINISSS4

Been using the same pen as db44, works very well, but I'd still like to have a better stylus for when I'm out and don't want to carry the pen around.

I use a Lamy TRI-PEN IT. It is a pencil, pen, and stylus combo. Very nice unit, but it costs 76 dollars.

Stylus mania!
(Second attempt <gnash>)
I looked at the retractable one. Nice, but no reset pin. As I have to reset twice a day at work (and sometimes in the car too) not really a goer.
I also have a multi-point pen. I've had one of the plain metal ones for years and they work great. Only trouble is sourcing refills for the pens. It's often cheaper to get a new pen (£5 from Maplin). However, I recently picked a really nice Penatia lacquered one from Sainsbury's (of all places). Really nice and the stylus works as a reset pin. Only trouble is it's full pen size.
Anyone know of a retracable with a reset pin ?
TIA, DBo.

The tip on this stylus should work as a reset pin on a Wizard just like the stock stylus.
Also did you know if you hold the power button on your wizard it turns off. and then turning it back on is just like doing a soft reset with the pin.

Do you have to carry this new stylus with you seperately or does it slide into your Device?

hi
You have to carry it separately, which while in work is OK. Its pen sized

I bought one which looks exactly the same from Fry's Electronics but i don't like the pen on it because its to pointy. Also the mechanical pencil on it doesn't work anymore (doesn't push out led). But the one i purchased has a lifetime warranty so i might go ahead and trade it in just for the hell of it.

I'm using this one.

I guess while using your right hand to navigate the G1, use the stylus, in your left hand to scratch that itch on your back with it??
Do not try this while driving
I believe the stylus is made specifically for the G1 and iphone. its not the same ones that other pressure sensitive phones have.
There are stylus' out there with the electrons needed for capactive touch screens to work (iPhone, G1, etc). I'm not entirely sure how they work, I assume it would need a battery... but maybe not.

UPDATE AFTER RECEIVING THIS!!!!
Stylus DOES WORK!!! It does work with more force lol
To grag an icon or let alone drag it across the screen it iffy. Rubber on the screen. You can imagine.
Silicone "case" is ok. Could have been snugger.
Hard case it good once is it all clicked in but it makes the phone a whole lot bulkier. If you buy the clip seperately, it can be attached to your belt.
Chargers, can't have enough
Screen protectors, love them
So for the money, yeah its worth the package.
****, seriously? It doesn't work? Do you have an iPhone to test it on?
I had my mother order this because she can't stand not using a stylus. Looks like it's getting sent back.

I tried the "Stylus" again today. It does work with more force.
Hard to drag or slide across the screen though.
It's rubber that gives way. A pencils earaser form type.
does the hard case fit snuggly all around? i had one that i sent back because the bottom left side edge doesn't clip onto anything and came up a bit.
the whole set is in 3 pcs.
The back part
The screen part
and the keys part
the keys part locks into the back part, tightly
the screen part locks onto the the sliding part of the phone
What does the camera/speaker hole look like? I hope it's not a heart... >_<
It is, how else are you gonna get the lens and mic not covered lol
I thought I would be like the T-Mobile hard case:

Touch Pro 2 Solid Cases?

I've noticed that there are a few companies that design solid cases for iphones and the Touch HD but not the Touch Pro 2.
Has anyone come across any?
The leather cases don't impress me, I'd much rather have a case like all those that are designed for the Touch Pro and HD.
I , too , am interested to know if anyone has seen these. I am looking for the same type of case. TIA.
now there are. silicon, aluminiom, solid rubber etc. check ebay or pdashop or brando
I have ordered one from china, via ebay, waiting for it to arrive in the post, it costed US $4. Its the hard black plastic very popular for the iphone, hope it works well for the touch pro 2, the design accommodates the slide.

it looks as if u would have to swing open the case to use the keyboard...I would prefer a peace that snaps on the top and a separate piece to snap on the back...having to open a case provides that errie momemt of vulnerability...
I got a TP2 at Telus last week and they put a hard case on it - two pieces. Only branding I can find on it is H/Vienna. Works well, has all the proper holes and such where they should be.
Wife's TP2 did something funny though - the touch screen won't work when we put the hard case back on the screen side of the phone.

I doubt there's any TP2 silicone case in the market yet (at least on ebay )!
I just bought/received a mybat black Shield Protector Case for HTC Touch Pro2 (Sprint & Verizon) I am a sprint tp2 user and this thing fits like a charm not as bulky as i expected. i bought out of curiousity. it does not touch the keys even in tilt, I have fat sausage link fingers and at full tilt the extra bulk KIND of gets in the way (top # row) not enuff to complain just mention, im not tryin to persuay anyone to buy just wondering would it be safe to use ive had it all day and only on for a couple hours in fear the these plastic cases are dangerous to my tp2 oh heres a pic. (it doesnt touch itself on the side either ive only noticed a lil itty bitty miniscule rub behind the screen on the factory plastic skin/or whatever it is i never removed it)

It takes a little time for the good cases to be designed & produced and this phone has only been out for less than 2 months in the US.
I've gone with Seidio for both my old Mogul and for my new TP2.
http://www.seidioonline.com/category-s/3589.htm
The case is slim so it doesn't add much bulk and the holster keeps the screen face in to protect it while it is on your belt.

Ya, I been waitin for Seidio to put out their Innocase for the Tilt2, they have it for the Verizon TP2 but that's it so far... I've used it on my old Tilt, Treo650 b4 that and after seein mine on my old Tilt my friend's all got em for their Fuze's and iPhones... They have the best cases that I've seen, especially when you use the holster w/ it. Only case I like more are the Vaja cases but I don't think they'll make a case you can use the kb w/ for the tp2...

I have something almost identical for my Tmo Touch pro 2, but the zoom bar is exposed. Got 2 on ebay for $10 for both, kb is easily accessible, has the rubberized hard plastic and doesn't add too much.
Had the same on my Nokia 5800 and they protected the phone from several long falls to the floor, never a mark on the phone.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I got the PDAir case for my 8925/Tilt:

I think that Boxwave is the OEM for all these. I have the (identical) Targus version, and it works well. The only issue I have is that if I apply RainX to the screen, the pen detection is spotty until the RainX has worn a bit. Otherwise, it's quite useful.

Cuts down on fingerprints quite a bit (since I don't use a screen protector) and makes the surface extremely smooth when sliding your finger around. If the prints don't bother you -- they drive me nuts -- or you use the stylus the majority of the time, it's not worth the effort. Also, anyone with a screen protector in place definitely should not apply a product like that to the surface.
There are a lot of them from Dealextreme if you need.
Got one of these too, Targus branded. I just wonder who thought it would be a great idea to add the sharp metal ring so close to the tip. I use mine quite a bit, but I'm always a bit scared of writing at too much of an angle so the metal cuts into my precious glass.

does anyone who uses one of these pens have the invisiSHIELD on? because i have that on my asus and would hate to purchase one of these only to realize it doesn't work too well with the screen protector.
Edit: just bought one. works beautifully.
I have a targus branded one from walmart, and rain-x applied to the screen, and it works flawlessly. Way better than touch input and you can make use of that autocad sketchbook app... its really nice.
after having a fat end for a week, and reading your feed back, and playing with a few on screen writing programs..
plus also learning how to write chinese charactors.. I am keen to go a bit further with this.. and get a better one for sharper writing..
I am using a screen protector that I brought the day i got this thing.. and find it just as sensitive to writing with my pen.. as my Evo is with a screen protector..
I would love to take this a step further and have my chinese staff write on it.. then be able to have handwritten recognition going no so that I could then copy an past it in to a translator..

Is that right, ok, I did wonder as the one I ordered from the sony site has its own case and loop, presumably to add to keys or something?

The only thing I do know about it is it is a silly price. Sony are having a laugh.

Took the plunge and bought for £13. The stylus itself is good, but the screen has a tendency to not recognize it sometimes (which I think is the stylus at fault) - the lanyard on the stylus is disappointing. So short that it won't fit into the lanyard loop on the phone. Seemed to defeat the object of having it there really.
All in all - good stylus but not work £13.
Ordered one. Will get it this week. The positive and only reason for me to get it is the lanyard that I can attach to my key ring so I will have it with me 24/7.

I think it's a phone/screen issue. My phone does not always recognize the touch when I use pencils etc.

One is included with the CP12 extended battery cover. I found the same result. I switched from a Note 2/Nexus 7 combo. I wanted just one device. When I was looking for a fine point stylus for the Nexus, I discovered the DAGI P508. It's similar to the Adonit Jot (small clear disc). It worked well there ands seems to be better than Sony's pointed stylus on the Ultra.

Samsung EE-CP90

Just saw that Samsung is selling the EE-CP905 Bluetooth keyboard (Pic below). Kinda like the leather look and the fact that it's thin. The Logitech one seemed nice, but too thick. Anyone have any experience with this keyboard?
Here in the Netherlands it's being offered for around 129 euros, which seems a bit too much. Is it worth it? Any reviews, pros, cons?

I purchased this keyboard with my Note 12.2 a couple of days ago. I have been using it pretty regularly over the last couple of days while setting the tablet up. So far I like it very much, it has been the best Tablet keyboard I have used so far and it really responds well to the tablet.

NO it does not protect the back of the tablet; it works as a front shell & keyboard. I can tell you this that this keyboard is hard to find, it is not on the Samsung Website and I think it is a limited run item that was produced for the launch of the tablet. Chances are if you do not get one now you may never see it available again.
It pairs easily to the tablet; it stays connected very well and it responds instantly even when you have not touched the tablet for a couple of hours. You have only one angle in which the tablet is held into the keyboard; however it is at the perfect angle for viewing the tablet while working. They keys are low profile but they feel very solid and I have not found any issues with this keyboard so far.
Again... I have only had it for a couple of days so this information is based on what I know so far!

It's nice, I am keeping mine. The only real downside to me is that I do not like using the note without a case, and you cannot just flip the note over and have it still lock in place on the keyboard. That said, it does work well with any case which leaves the bottom of the Note open (like the Moko). Far superior to the Zagg.

I paid $88 for it here in the US. I purchased it on-line from B&H Photo and Video (free delivery). It is much sturdier than the zagg keycase cover that is being sold by Best Buy. I think it is great. It forms a protective case for the tabley. Has the same faux leather covering. The only drawback is that it is not true docking keyboard. But for what it is, I think it is great.
It comes bundled in México in the 32gb SM-P900 even the package show it in the picture, it's a great product, serves as a nice cover for protect the screen and a great dock, the faux leather finish is the same of the tablet back.
Hi
I know it's an old thread but I just bought the keyboard, tested it a bit and I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to disable the word tips that display in the bottom of the screen while typing. I make very few mistakes and don't really need it. the problem is that the top of the screen is cut off a bit because of that otherwise it wouldn't bother me much

I guess It depens on the application you use. I don't have such suggestion bar when I do mail and wordprocessing.

I was using Chrome I didn't try other apps. There is a way to disable it in the settings but it's for all keyboards and not just the hardware one
