tmobile sda wont turn on! aftrer using patched_ruu.exe - HTC Hurricane

Hi, i thougt my phone was hurricane after checking the pic out on main forum, but i guess i was wrong as i jsut found that it is actually htc tornado.
I was following the instructions here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330709&page=20
and after performing step 7
7. Downloaded http://rapidshare.com/files/58201559/Lazaj007.zip and patched my SPL (extract and start patched_RUU.exe)
my phone turne off after 100% installation and i cant get it back on!
i tried to goto boot loader but all in vein.
Tried holding camera button and putting usb cable noth9ing. tried holding camera and communication button and pressing power on button, nothing. any help or time to trash it away?

i think that you broke bootloader. if it is only white screen (nothing else) or doesn't want to switch on, give them to service.

what do u mean by service?
like right now it just wont turn on. just as if the battery is dead but my battery was fully charged when i did the process.....
where can i give it for service? thanks for your help.
ps. By the way its a brand new sda too never used it

It's bricked. There's no (practical) way to fix it other than to replace the motherboard.
If it's under warranty, then try to get it replaced. If not, time to sell it on eBay for parts or you can PM me if you want to sell it for cheap because mine could use a new housing and keypad.

HTC Touch Dual - Not turning on

Hi Guys,
I have recently successfully flashed my Nike to the NIKI_ROM_MARY_v0.3.3. It was working fine for the past 3 days apart from the odd frozen screen coming out of sleep mode (i think that had to do with some sleep/lock setting)
Then out of the blue I notice it power was off.
- I tried pressing and holding down the power button
- Removing the SIM, micro SD and battery and replacing with another battery
- Connecting to PC
- Charging
All to no avail...
Has anyone have any other suggestions before I return for warranty?
This worked for me; take the battery out leave the sim and memorycard inside the phone, attach the powercord wich is connected to the wallsocket ofcourse and switch the phone on, and then insert the battery........
2nd post cannot delete it?
i'm not sure but i dont think they will repair under warranty as you have changed the software
Same issue
I have the same issue with Mary's v4.0, if i reset or switch off the phone, it just dies, whatever I do it will not switch on.
I managed after 2 days, the keep trying to plug in ac power, with no battery, got a red charge light and then insert the battery, then hold down the power button, finally it booted, now i dare not switch off or soft reset.

if this does not work, then hold the on button and keep trying to insert, then remove and insert the battery until it starts (hopefully).
Just flashed another ROM, so doubt its ROM related, my suggestion is do the above, flash back to your original ROM and SPL, then send it back under warranty, this will be my 4th NIKI under warranty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This worked for me. Seems to be a problem with the HTC Touch Dual. Several people I know have had the phone shut down for no reason. After the above, I did a soft reset.. No problems since... Touch wood!

Hmm, okay I know it's an old thread but I have the same issue but it happened with the original rom, I finally bring the phone back to life unfortenally not with my own sim-card.
For now I'm scared to do a sofreset because I think I lost my phone again just wondering what I can do, maybe someone on this forum have a solution for this.
Regards
I had exactly the same problem... may anyone be more specific?

Hi teorouge, sometimes I got my phone back, what I did was:
1. Remove battery
2. Pressing softreset button about 10 times.
3. Insert battery and keep pressing the powerbutton until the phone reacts.
It's not a fix, the only thing you can do is use the phone but if you do a softreset the problem is back.
Personally I think the powercircuit is broken, I had to buy myself another Niki.

Thanks for the answer, I gave the Niki back to his owner... it's a corporate phone so he shouldn't personally pay any money (and me neither, that's for sure!) to get it repaired. Thou I hope for him they'll change it to a newer (and feature-rich) device!

[Q] HELP!!!!X10 Black Brick or glitched?

Hi guys, Today my X10 black running on android 2.1 firmware suddenly dead. I was on a call and suddenly the touchscreen is not responding at all. I can not get it to silde to unlock or what so ever. I've tried take out the battery to turn it off and put it back to turn on and tired to Put it on computer with the sony software to repair it. But none of those works. The touch screen seems to respond once after i touch it a thirty or forthy times. But still i have no way to silde to unlock the phone. Is that means my phone is brick or just the touch screen is broken i have to buy a new one to replace it? anyone has the same problem and any solution for it?

I just tired your way, but the point is i can not use my touch screen, i have no way to turn off the phone. WHen i press the power button it shows me the turn off phone option, since the phone is locked, no matter how many times i press it still not respond to me at all. I can't get phone into recovery mode. The only way to turn it off is by take out the battery. THanks anyway.
So.. take out the battery and try to boot it up in recovery mode.
Still got not luck. Its not working
When you've pulled the battery.. and you re-insert it and try SEUS...
Are you holding the back button whilst you insert the USB cable? (at the prompt when SEUS tells you too)??
Your other option would be to download flashtool from here and try to install a ROM that way (also uses the "Flash mode" boot up..)
"When you've pulled the battery.. and you re-insert it and try SEUS...

I did this, tried 2 times it gives me a fresh firmware after i install it, But the result is the same. When my phone started up, it ask me to change language, and no where how I touch it just rarely responds to my touch. Just like the touch screen is not responding it. But it super rarely respond once after thirty keep continoues touches.
If new firmware isn't helping its probably a loose connection or worst case a bad component. Might warranty if its covered. If you don't still have warranty you might try disassembling it and checking connections. Someone just posted a video on x10 tear down. Was it dropped at any point?

This sounds exactly like the way my screen is behaving. Did you ever find a solution?

Damaged Phone! Ideas please?

Hello all!
A friend of mine gave a Mozart today for repair. The glass is broken bad but the LCD is intact! The phone itself behaves very strange! When I power it ON (or plug the AC charger/USB Cable) The HTC Logo appears and sits there for around 15 - 20 secs then it reboots itself and the process repeat itself till I unplug the cable. Then it just turns off.
Bootloader works!
I tried to factory reset it (both volume buttons at power on) it didn't help!
I flashed the official Mango RUU but the problem persists!
The phone have not been modified by any way (HSPL, Custom ROMS etc.)
Ideas?
just send it to the service center, lucky if the warranty still exists. If the warranty dead already, then I think it's okay to spend a little money for the beloved mozart. currently, I have no idea what should you do.. If I were you, I would possibly done that. Either way it goes, seems that it needs an original hTC 7 Mozart's Display screen. (If you see hTC on below the main speaker, the hTC is written in the screen's display)..
I already ordered the screen and I'll change it no problem. The thing that is bothering me is why the phone wouldn't start like it should!
Update!
I've just replaced the digitaizer but the problem persist! The phone boots, shows the HTC logo, stays that way for some seconds and either reboots (if connected to cable USB/AC) or just turns off (in not connected) Bootloader works! I even HSPL the device and tried some custom ROMs. Every time the same thing! Before the HSPL I tried some official RUUs but no change! Some times while holding some of the keys I'm able to make it show the ZUNE Update screen! ( the black screen with a PC and a phone waiting to connect) then ZUNE tells me that there is no restore point (which is right) and tells me that I can disconnect the phone!
HELP!
dear friend
go to the original rom.
i had the same problem with the booting.

Hope your phone is still on warranty.
Then give it to a service center/shop for repair.
If not ... ask for a "cheap" repair.
Sorry, but if it is a hardware issue, it may need to replace hardware parts.
Yup, bro that's a hardware issue, and you can do NOTHING about it unless you want to disassemble your phone. If you can disassemble your phone, it is simple- head for the area with the power button and im sure it'll just be slightly displaced from the button position. What you gotta do is just push it back into its place and VOILA. Happened to me once, have been through it and also successfully repaired my phone. If you can't do this, go ahead and flash a stock firmware on your phone and give it to samsung, IF IT IS STILL IN WARRANTY. Else, go for a cheap repair...
Click "THANKS" if you found this useful !!
Cheers.
Messing around with sim and battery can work
A month ago I accidentally spilled some tea over my phone, and after taking out its battery, sim and microsd and putting it in a bowl full of dried rice and later letting it dry under a warm room fan for some hours, the only damage was that the power button stop responding at all. I guess the wires inside got corrosed or something and the button is now totally non-functional. So, how do I power up my phone if the battery has drained out / I want to change to a spare one / any other situation?
The answer: I really don't know what way is the exact way to power up the phone, but every time I just messed around with the components for a while and eventually the phone was turned on.
I'm talking about the sim card, the battery and the charger. Below are some of the ways by which I managed to get my phone booted up:
Remove the battery, reinsert and wait;
Remove the SIM card and reinsert the battery and then the SIM, and wait;
Reinsert the battery and then remove the SIM card, and wait;
Connect to a charger, reinsert the battery, reinsert the SIM card and unplug the charger;
Randomly press the Home button in any time you feel is right, during the steps above.
I can't remember what else I did because every time I just hyperactively messed around with it until it powered on, but it's been a month like so and I still didn't get it fixed, so generally these are the ways I use to power up my phone. I hope it will be helpful Good luck!

You might wanna repair that button mate. Any issues you may have with ur software would ultimately require the use of the Power button!

Accessing files on a phone with a non-working screen - is the any way how?

Hello,
I own a somewhat broken Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and I desperately need to get the files inside it.
The short story is, a month into using my phone, and the housing bent on me; and around 5 months of using this, the ribbon cable of the LCD ripped since it was exposed all the time. The phone is still working, but obviously you can't control it. Before I have it repaired, I'd like to back up my entire internal storage first. However, since the screen won't detect anything, you can't set it up.
It's non-rooted, but I don't remember whether I unlocked the bootloader. I don't really know how to get it to recovery either, because you can't manually turn it off since it can't detect touches, and you know MIUI's turn off option (press and hold power button won't do the trick). Otherwise, you'll just have to drain the battery. When you charge it again, it'll automatically turn on and do a normal boot. Btw, it's still running the vanilla 7.0 ROM it came with.
I need to have everything backed up because the store I bought it in won't honor the warranty and want to charge me around $95 for parts replacement. Nice scam. Anyway, it'll take me some time to find a repair shop that has spare parts for this (since the housing is bent beyond repair as well). 'Til then, I really gonna need to re-obtain the files stuck in my phone. Thank you very much!
So if you connect it to a PC, you can't see any files? You might have to switch from "Charging this device" to "Transfer files" type of connection, even that is impossible? You don't see anything on the screen at all?
