I have HT7 Phone it bricks during upgrading the SPL because it had WM5 and I went to install WM6
I can boot the Phone in Recovery Mode ( Holding the Camera Button and Boot ). Three Color Screen and I can communicate with the phone through the MTTY but during installing the Update it says ERROR 300
is there anyway to get the phone alive again ?

PS : Phone is out of warranty and there is no service center here , also I can't use the JTAG Method
jafer mainly error 300 comes in when you are using wrong rom update utility... atleast in my case...after running spl pgm from phone and mtty program make sure you run the rom update utility inside the spl folder before running the rom update utility inside the rom folder... hope this helps.. and make sure that the rom is for old gene...

The Phone is HT7 , during the upgrade it bricks , I used the " Orefkov " but it seems it only works for new Phones
Anyway by no I can Boot the Phone in Tri Color Mode but when i try to upgrade a rom it says ERORR 300
is there any way to BOOT the Phone through the SD Card ? I already had the same issue with another phone , I boot the phone with SDCard and it became alive again !!
But I don't know the Instructions for this GENO Crappy Phone
try removing the SD card and update the ROM. BTW as far as i know oref Is for new Gene. post a query on the right thread and ankit or krazy or any proficient member will definitely help you out. or you may pm basha for help.

-- Sync your device with computer and open the file u download it called HardSpl you will find two files one one foe G3 and G4 open your kind then you'll find a file called (( hardspl.bat )) okay, be sure your device is connected to computer then open the file and follow instruction and it will reset your device ,
now u ready to change rom.

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

Can it enter bootloader at all?
If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...

now i flashed the official rom of jamin but it stopped at 80%
I ran hspl.exe. It's didn't restart but went off. I press soft reset now only bootloader is showing with ONBL 1.10.0000 and SPL 1.10.Olip. there is also RUU at the top right corner. What can I do now to flash another rom or get back my gene?

First try to remove the battery and then put it back in and try to switch it on see if it boots into the windows...if not then follow the step given below...
Download any custom rom for OLD gene and run the rom update utility (RUU) it will be back to normal...
Note : Most importantly don't panic ...even if the phone is taking its usual time to boot up it may seem longer cos we are worried....have patience...

Its normal thing that ur device got off after hspl.exe
it seems like u hv new gene....so now u should use Oref unbricker...
u just followed step 1....
so u should move on to step 2
which is unbricking gene by oref method

Do you already do a SPL unlock?
If yes, just flash with another ROM.
Go to bootloader by press and hold camera then reset, release reset but still hold camera untill tri color appear, connect usb cable to pc then flash again with another ROM.
How thing i have all ready done that?but show-me how i do to see if i done well

ur spl should end with .olip or .oref at the end instead of .0000
go to the tut given by Krazy and read many times use the tools and do the needful given in the same section viabhav has also given a tool

There is a thread named upgrading ... by krazy as well as a thread by vaibhav named automatic SPL Updater. Just search a bit, son.
or may be you can take the cell to haree who will patch it for you

After 6 hours of trying to change spl to flash the rom i haven´t manage to do anything more ist´s exactaly the same that i have all ready i have download a lot´s o rom´s and nothing i have tried the to do updating the spl by the sd card and nothing happen because i can´t put anything in the memory of the phone i only can put thing in the card from my computers card reader to trying to change the spl to 1.10-Olipro to flash the rom but i can´t

u go to the below links and save them on ur comp and Read no one is going to hand hold u and u dont need it with such nice tutes given pls not im a guy with Zero tech skills and i did it so u can as my boss would say its not rocket science

Then i update my WM6 Rom to Sumit's Pro User ROM ( WM 6.1 for both Old and New Gene).
It worked fine.
The by mistake I click the file gene_hspl.exe ( The file using for Updating SPL for Old gene).
immediatly My phone got off.
i tried a lot to switch on it .
then I push cam key with soft reset key, then my phone on in boot loader mode with SPL 1.10.olip
and
ONBL 1.17.0000
Now i am Not able to update to my SPL again.
and Phone is not working, What should i do now..?

ur device is still under warranty period??
Try to unbrick again from orefkov method if it works GREAT! otherwise take ur device to service center and dont tell him about cracking and just tell him that it automatically switched off...
dont try anything without suggestions of other GENE forum members..just ask them too what to do..?

Hey Guys I have a HTC Gene p3400i previously i spoke to guys like sumit and Krazy also, first i had a motherboard series of HT8X, i somehow unlocked the CID using Orefkov method, but everything was fine oneday i flashed it with a Wrong Stock ROM and thats where the problm started.
it got bricked i took it to service center the technicians were very helpful they changed the motherboard to a new one of HT8X series, i tried to unlock the CID/Change the SPL to either Olipro or Orefkov both didn't work when i tried with "Olipro jumpspl" method it says the Update Utility is invalid, when i tried with "Orefkov mtty" it says can't unlock the CID or basicaly it says cant place the SPL and finally i tried the "Olipro HSPL" method it goes to boot loader shows Olipro 1.10 in SPL but when i flash a Old gene ROM the RUU utility says or wants a new RUU.
I tried it around 5 times continously starting from monday to Friday and totally it got bricked for 5 times also, i took it again and again to service center the guys didnt hesitate they were really helpfull they unbricked it, i even asked would i get my previous motherboard they said its already been sent to HTC for Fault Repair.
Now the methods which i can't use:
1) Olipro HSPL (which again bricks)
2) the Orefkov mtty (which says cant place the spl)
3) the Olipro Jumpspl method which shows a Blank white screen but when try to update using RUU says requires new RUU
PLEASE HELP.....!! THIS HAS BECOME A CHALLENGE FOR ME>>>>>>>> I READ ABOUT THE SAME PROBLM IN THE FORUM BY NEWBIES ALSO PLZ HELP......!!

yes previously before changing the motherboard it was HT8X series but was new gene now its same series but it is old gene....
