when upgrading begin it's stoped at 13%
and restart i got a splash screen (start up orange logo)
I tryed most of rom but upgrading stops at 4% or i got invalid vendor ID
now i can't use my phone if someone can help me
Did my phone die?
I need orange rom fr original or another solution

About the original orange Rom i don't know where to find it.

I encountered the same problem, and I think my phone is 80% dead!
My phone was unlocked, but carelessly, I didn't complete the hard-SPL flash procedure and flash a new ROM directly, so it is dead...
I downloaded an original Orange ROM, but process stopped @4%, and returned "INVALID VENDER ID". Is there anyway that I can flash a new ROM?
Now my phone can enter the rainbow screen only, and it reads:

SPL 1.08.0000
Any experts here can offer a solution? Can I flash rom via SD card, and how? Really really appreciate your help.

This model is already quite old. Not sure if anyone still encounter the same problem. Anyway, I'd like to share how I did it, just in case it still helps you.
The key point is called "HTC Goldcard". It is made of a normal Mini-SD card, but it helps you to get a super-CID in tri-color mode.
Google it to find more details, and I am sure you guy can work it out yourselves. You could PM me as well, if you understand my Chinglish

I have a problem I hope someone here can help me to solve..
I have an Orange SPV M3100 that hangs on the Windows Mobile screen when I try to start it.
I'm able to go into bootloader mode, and i have tried using mtty142.exe with the set 14 0 command. It still won't boot. I've also tried to hard reset it.. still won't boot..
What I did was trying to unluck the SIM-lock with the Universal unlocker (HTC_Uni_Unlock_v1) from buzz. At the time I thought universal meant that it worked on all HTC devices (stupid, I know)... And I also thought it was harmless to just try and see if it worked. But I got an error around 92-93% and after that my device won't start. So my radio ROM might be screwed.
I'd like to flash my ROM with the i-mate one (JASJAM_WWE_1.20.305.3_1.20.305.104_1.07.03.10_ship.exe) and then add the ext-rom. But how do I do that when I can just access the bootloader screen? And do you think it will boot again if I'm able to flash it?

No your rom *is* screwed. You can get into bootloader, you can even get to 11% of a dopod etc rom upgrade if you try, but you will not flash a new radio.
You CAN boot the device.
Do a hard reset, but do not press spacebar to reboot after. Instead, do a soft reset. The unit should boot but as you've screwed the radio you will not get a gsm signal and the phone will say unknown sim status.
I know this as I bought one cheap after the owner had done exactly the same as you.
IMEI-check's unlock solution is the only one that works IIRC, and in some cases this re-writes the security area of the phone and repairs similar issues, but in this case I could not get the prog to read.
You need to return the device to HTC - you'll need to pay approx £35 for reflashing back to the orange rom. This is what I had to do.
Currently you cannot book the m3100 in through the web as it's too new, instead email / call them.

What happens if you just leave the phone in bootloader mode and then try to flash any ROM (imate, dopod, htc...)? run 2 times the RomUpgradeUt.exe if you get an error on the 1st try.
If you get an error while running the rom upgrade utility you can monitor the USB port while upgrading (you will see the real error from the bootloader then), there's some more info on this wiki page:

No, if you want to send it back under warranty do not try to run a rom update as there are no orange rom packages. As described in my post above, it will get to 11% and stop. The device will be in the same state as before, with the same ext rom, but the splash screen and bootloader will have changed.
i.e: it will be bloomin obvious you tried flashing it and failed. Not what you want if you try for a warranty repair....
There is no error from the bootloader - as there is no radio rom present and no security area the upgrade process just hangs.

That's true, do not try to flash any other roms if you want to use the warranty or send the device back...

As I'm the administrator of these devices in the company I work for I just grabbed a new SPV and will send this thing back to Orange. It sounded like I'm getting a new one..
Well, I think I've learnt my lession.
Oh, and I have another question. Is there a reg editor I can install on this one so I can remove the app lock? I know I can install java apps, but it's a bit grumpy about apps that needs installation (the developer must be certificated).

Sorry to take the thread a bit OT, but just wanted to confirm this again.
So, if I flashed my M3100 with a different ROM, and then had to return the phone to Orange for repair for a different reason, I can send it back to HTC just to have the ROM reflashed, and then send the phone to Orange to get the repairs done?
I've been hesitating on whether to flash the phone with a non-Orange ROM because I didn't want to give up the ability to obtain warranty repair (as there is no ROM upgrade yet). If it's just a matter of £35 and then everything else as normal, maybe it's not so bad...

I have the same problem about spv m3100. I used "universal unlock tool" to unlock my device and now it don't start,don't boot...I tried the Hermes SD Card flashing methods with qtek001 rom and, a white screen with "loading...." appears for 2 second and then nothing else appened. I think that the method is right but I need to use a different software. what do you think about?

SD card method is no good as there is no upgrade from Orange until January.
Tried to do a radio upgrade explained here:

But it didn't work just came up with connection error, tried to monitor USB but nothing showed up to find out why, althouth mtty commands always do show up in USB Monitor.
Still have a brick and looking for a solution, hopefully, someday, please someone help me I am loosing my mind.

I purchased the Softbank X01HT (post Dec) in Japan when i was working in Japan. I lived with the Japanese OS even though i don't understand Japanese because I didn't want to temper with it just incase something goes wrong and i can't use the phone. Well, now im back in Australia ... and i need to unlock it and flash a new ROM to it so that I can use it in Australia .. otherwise.. it is effectively a brick....
so.. i spent the past two days reading all the valuable information u guys provided... and in the end.. i decided to first unlock and superCID my phone using the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat provided by POF ... and then flash it with the Jasjam telstra ROM (RUU_Hermes_DL_UK_3[1].62.305.5_6275_1.54.30.10_108_Ship.exe) also found in this forum which received good feedbacks...
ok... after i executed the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat program .. everything went well... and at the end of it.. the screen even said.. successful in both unlock and superCID ... so.. i assumed that my phone is unlocked...
then... i went to flash my phone with the abovementioned jasjam ROM .. and this too.. everything went just fine ... and now.. my phone is working with this new ROM (cool! first time im able to read my x01ht coz its in English) ...
without a sim.. the OS works fine.. etc etc...
however, when i tried to put a telstra sim card in it ... its still simlocked ...
the SimLock screen comes up and requests me to input unlock code ...
so.. i did more reading and researched but can't find any solution to this ... i even tried that "unlock" code (22051978) but it doesnt work ...
Please.. can someone help me with this issue with my phone? now.. it seems that i just need to unlock my phone to use it as my jasjam ROM is working fine. Below are further details:
ROM version: 3.62.305.5
ROM date: 11/06/07

read somewhere that if you let the softbank go through the 1st boot and it installs all the extra stuff you wont EVER be able to unlock it again. some one else may need to clarify this but apparently you need to soft reset after you've reached the today screen but before the customisations start. if you didnt do this then you probably wont be able to unlock it. sorry if this is wrong/bad news.
Hope someone else can corroborate this.. cheers...

After re-reading the posts, i cannot find that I did anything wrong.
This link "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665" states that the unlocker v3a "can be used in all HTC Hermes devices, no matter which bootloader version the device is running", with the exception of "x01ht post April devices" (i.e., white x01ht).
However, my x01ht is black and is a pre-April device.
So, I am still not sure what is wrong. Please help please help any experts out there ...

hey bro!when you r already flashed v3a unlock,than you should down a software name like "Hard-SPL-V7",it will help you to unlock the exrom,make you able to flash the new os\rom...
"HARD-SPL-V7" has 2 software,1st is "RUU_signed.nbh",2nd is "RUUWrapper.exe".
devileric, read post carefully. snowboarder has no problem with reflashing oses, its the sim that needs unlocking now and hard spl WONT do that...
Still reading and researching. I'd probably retry the unlock tool. it cant hurt but may work... cheers
devileric ... yes ... ultramag69 is correct ... my new English Telstra Jasjam OS works like a beauty when it operates WITHOUT a sim card. However, when i try to insert a telstra (or optus) sim card in there, there is a prompt that requires me to enter a unlock code. Please note that the unlock code 22051978 does NOT work in this case (also doesnt work in alot of other cases that i read in this forum).
Ultramag69, thank you for your help and replies, much appreciated. I actually did try the unlocking program again (three times ) . However, when i execute the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat when my OS is the new telstra jasjam OS, my phone will freeze on the telstra startup screen after the radio update step of the unlocking program when it automatically resets. Thereafter, even when i perform soft reset again and again, it will just freeze there. When that happened the first time, I thought that I bricked my phone .. ahhaha.. but fortunately, I was able to simply go to the tri-color boot screen and then simply flash the above said telstra Jasjam ROM. This will get me back to square one, i.e., working Jasjam OS, but phone is still sim locked.
I spent another night last night reading the applicable threads. I find that quite afew other people had the same problem as me. And I also find that whenever such problem is posted, its either ignored or a moot reply is given.
So, for the experts out there, if there is a solution to this, please kindly let me know. I am sure it will others will find it helpful too. Thank you.

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

Can it enter bootloader at all?
If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...
I really do not know what to do...

now i flashed the official rom of jamin but it stopped at 80%
So i wanted to flash my cingular 8125 to windows mobile 6, so i downloaded this:

What IPL/SPL it displays now ? ,Does it get into Bootloaders ? if it still does than download and flash 'wizard_love_rom' hope it'll recover back.

It just boots into a white screen. If i hold the camera and power buttons together it boots into bootloader mode, and says USB in the bottom corner. (when i am conncected via usb) but the problem is that active sync doesnt recognize it in bootloader mode. I have tried flashing it in many different ways and i have had no success.
When i go home i will try wizard_love_rom.
and as for the IPL/SPL, i will also check that when i get home.
Where can i download the wizard_love_rom?

So, I flashed my phone with the "Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2.rar"
which i found the download for over a quick google search, and now i want to update to winmo6 or 6.1.
Can you send me the link for the easiest way to do it on a G4 cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard.)
I have never CID unlocked, which was probably why i got the white screen earlier. but do i need to do it know that i am on the wizard love rom?

Glade its working again !
You got a G4 device,it cannot be CID unlocked,but however,it can be upgraded to wm6 or 6.1,read the methods 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL' posted as stickies in the G4 forum for upgrading to wm6 or 6.1.

I know that this may be getting a little annoying for you and im sorry for that, but i need your help on this. I am currently running the wizard love rom. And I have Hard SCP'd.
I have to problems:
1. My EDGE doesn't work, i only get GPRS speed data.
2. I can't upgrade to any new rom..... i always get "ERROR [300] Get a newer update utility!"
How can I fix both of these problems?
I have searched forums and google and nothing has come up.

ok,for error (300)you can use the RUU MUNS already posted in the 'HardSPL' thread,download the RUU_MUNS application extract it to a folder and copy and paste all the files of this extracted to the folder of the Rom replacing all the RUU files in that folder or copy the nk.nbf folder in the Rom to the extracted folder of the RUU_MUNS and then run the RUU,it will start to flash and complete and hopefully fully boot up.
For edge or gprs,you'll have to get network settings of your network carrier or check out the thread from where you downloaded the rom,its uaually posted there or check out the 'Network' thread.

ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
One of these error messages will appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device. Make sure you use the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade.
I tried to flash rom wm 6.1 edition but suddenly when flashıng was %80, its broke and failure.
Now my phone broke only htc pic came.Please some one help.I read all the post about it.I cant master reset on my phone because when i push the 0 button htc pic came again.Only bootloader mode can works but ı try many than 10 roms it starts but when they are %5-4 ,they broke too.Then this type came "İmage file corrupted and please check update utiltiy"
I read at one blog if this situtaion came i must use smartflip stock rom to flash but i cant find imateclub's web site is broke too.

i even tried over 15 Roms to reinstall it but it all got failed.
