Genie Widget smoked version-FIXED - Click Themes and Apps

Hi all
I don't know if this has been done, but I made a "smoked" semi-transparent version of the Genie Widget, for use with our tattoo, besides the regular black and the transparent versions i found.
I did this as the transparent one wasn't so readable in light backgrounds.
see attached
UPDATE: fixed signature, now it should install correctly.
Thanks
Genci

Anyone tried? any feedback would be interesting. Anyways is not a major think, though.
Regards

I tried, but doesn't work. I cannot install it. The installation fails.

Updated first post. try the fixed version. I think it was a problem of file signing.
Cheers

No installs and work fine.
It's better from the default look, but I would like a bit smaller box and with rounded corners.

any screens?

Works perfectly. Great work

[WM6] Ocean skins (original color)

Now one clean ROM after eachother are popping up, it seems that there is more to skin then Touch alone.
The default theme of WM6 is Ocean Blue. But not al the app's are blending in, and as being a very visual-minded person, I made it my quest to harmonize those app's.
* Calculator, replaces the ugly standard app all together.
* Dialer, now completed with ocean-colored Speed Dial and Call History.
* WMP. UPDATE: added some regsettings so it will continue plaing in standby.
* Commanager has arrived, finally found out how to install using a cab-file!
looks cool...

The Calculator is a spin-off from the Dialer, if you can provide me with the Shadow Dialer pictures I will give it a try.

Thank you very much! For this moment I'm testing and re-testing the re-cooked roms, so I'll upload the images once I flash to ShodoW again^^"
Just wondering if the graphics for comm manager and phone pad would do as well. They are uploaded anyway. Hopefully they are of use and thanks in advance.^^"
ShodoW's Calculator
Here you are, a calculator in Shodow-style. NOW LANDSCAPE IS SUPPORTED TOO!
I would like to adapt the Commanager as well, but I don't know witch files are involved. As there are several different versions circulating, I like the new one (Bars with radio-buttons) most.
Does anyone has/knows a cab file?

I am getting an error message whenever I try to install the calulator skin. It says "Skin must be install to phone's main memory" or something like that... that is before the progress bar even starts to move and before it gives me an option to 1) select install path (device or storage card) and 2) asks me to verify installer.
Any suggestions?

You are already running the same calculator (SPB) only with another skin, I think.
Uninstall and it will be fine. If it is in ROM (don't know wich one you use) you can replace these two files in the Windows folder.

[Mod][CM7] Honeycomb Softkey Icons [Updated 4/18]

I've been wanting something like this that we can flash over any of the latest Cm7 versions with the status bar softkeys (from mad-murdock).
So I just threw one together myself.
This is a CWM zip file that you can flash with clockworkmod and will replace the soft key icons in CM7 with the honeycomb ones.
Thanks to:
The Cm7 Team
Phiredrop for his phiremod cm7 stuff
nfcrockett for uploading the icons from the SDK.
coldboot for inspiration
Please Note: This does not work on the current batch of nightlies, and I will not update this particular mod until there is another cm7 final release.
If you wish to do so yourself, feel free to use the icons from the apk

Version for Gtab and Vega Users:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20676890/HC_barIcons_Gtab_Vega2.zip
Install Via CWM - All warnings apply, if it screws something up - not my fault
Worked fine on my nook.
Changelog:
4/18 Gtab/Vega Users update: The Gtab/Vega version should now properly install on Gtabs and the Vega - I have not been able to test this (and the guys in the Gtab IRC were less than helpful) So I need some feedback on this.
4/15 Phiremod Edition:[/B] This should be able to seamlessly flash over phiremod without losing any of his themed elements in the notification bar. Big thanks to phiredrop!
4/13 v1.3: Changed the notification pulldown shade to be darker (less transparent) for people having issues with it.
4/11 v1.2: Made a new search Icon from scratch - let me know what you guys think!
4/11: Top should now be working, I also edited the search button background to match the rest of them. I had forgotten about it, because I dont use it. I'll try to whip up a more honeycomb-esque looking one later.
Feedback is welcome/appreciated. Screenshot attached.
looks good mate. cheers!
It does look really good.
I use status bar on top alot, especially when using nesoid, or when my daughter is playing on it. So if you would like to make a version that changes the icons in both modes, i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks, yeah I'll update it to work on top as well. Should be up later tonight when I get home from work.

why not use cm7 official? its got all of ttrc2 with bugfixes
Thanks for putting this together. I really liked the HC look. If only the launcher was functional.
Thank you for this. I was planning on digging through the framework folder but this saved me the trouble. They look great. Now if only I could figure out how to change the order of the buttons......

Looks great, but i do see one oddity - the search icon is noticably lighter in background than the rest of the icons.. almost like search was in a selected state. Its not, but it looks a bit wierd. if you could fix that, this would be perfect!

These look great! I'm glad you shared them.
Great job, thanks for making the changes thus far, the icons look really good. I especially like that the icons have no background image and they are just "in" the status bar. It looks alot cleaner that way imho.
Very nice work! I like using the "Cyanabread" theme and having the "green" in the Notification icon kinda throws things off from an aesthetics perspective. I would like to have the icons bigger, like when I was running HC, but that is a CM7 thing, I think.

Thanks.
They can be made bigger. They ended up coming out a little small when I was resizing them. Personally I like them how they are though.
Thanks for this man. I think personally it goes better then the stock buttons, because they look built-in, instead of just literal buttons. No offense to the stock button designer!

[Mod][App] Themed stock apps - Red Gloss

Well after years away from modding and skinning I decided to give it a go again.
Apps themed are Bluetooth, Movie, DVD, Music and Radio. Works on both 800x480 and 1024x600. I have already themed my own framework-res and settings so stay tuned for pretty much a full system theme. There is also a blue gloss version which should be ready tomorrow.
DOWNLOAD - HERE
To install:
Use Root Explorer or something similar.
Back up existing apk's that you are going to replace.
Copy new apps into system/apps
Then set permissions for each apk to 644
Reboot and hopefully you should be good to go.
A HUGE thanks to m4f1050 for testing before release.
Looks good!
Nice work Goose. Look good on my unit

All I have done is change images, I haven't changed anything that would affect physical buttons.
All I can suggest is replace the original apk's and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, replace one of my themed apk's, just one then see if the problem occurs. If it doesn't then replace another apk with one of mine and check the button again and so on. If you discover which apk is causing the problem try wiping the cache and settings for that apk to see if it fixes the problem.
These themed apk's have all been tested with not problems at all by m4f1050 and he has a RK3188 1024x600 unit and tested by me and I have a RK3188 800x480 unit.

I can't seem to get mtcmusic to change to the red theme. It says app not installed when I try to do it manually.
Any idea's?
Tried installing as is, no luck.
Tried copying over to aps folder setting permissions and rebooting and no luck

check the filenames in system/app sometimes they change
Ok so rename the red theme apk(s) to whatever the new mtc music app is called, copy over to sys/aps, set permission, and reboot?
Maybe Malaysk has a new name for the default music app and i didn't notice earlier.
Ill give it a try.
Sometimes it will have a different number at the end of the filename, it might still be MTCMusic#.apk but haven't installed the new ROM yet so I am just guessing.

reboot and it works.
Also the others work as well.
Strangest thing but my icons on the left are not colored like yours, just white. Any idea why? Same thing w/ the blue skin.

I have not gotten the latest update just yet, but I've heard about it, have you tried something like Navbar Apps?: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.damianpiwowarski.navbarapps
Yep it worked wonders before the update, but not on the home screen anymore. It still works in apps, but you need to set it to just before black. If it's black, it fails for some reason.

So am I understanding this correctly, it is no longer transparent on the homescreen?
Sadly no. It's white'ish . ?
Hmm, is the only apps you have installed being able to modify the navbar, navbar apps?
I read about the update, and to my understanding, the only big thing the changed was not letting users pick black, and immesive mode.
But thats shouldn't change the transparency of the navbar.. Actually you can't even change the transparency in the settings..

? DARK THEME Emui9.1 (working on Magic UI)

Got my view 20 yesterday here in Holland, ran one update after the other , landed on build 9.1.0.230 and went looking right away for a compatible dark theme to get rid of that annoying white layout..
Tried a a couple of dark themes developed for EMUI 9.0 / 9.1 , quite buggy oln Magic 2.1.0, but at the end I think I found one quite compatible and looking great (just changed the wallpaper):
(Edited)Deep Black by Maurydes
Nearly perfect so far, only the 3 navigation keys/icons at the bottom in some situations are not really good visible, but then again, I am not that young anymore, needing reading glasses.
BY THE WAY, I'm not using the stock launcher, whatever it's called...
I go with - Nova P rime launcher - all the way and all the time, since many years ago...
Cheers
EDIT 4 aug. 2019
Another way , easier...
Just go to the Play store and run it.
Not exactly the same dark theme I had, but it's as nice and dark as... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=emui.en.com.gpix2dark
Also, try this
Third party theme app to push various themes: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager&hl=en
And follow the instructions to the letter.
The other theme I mentioned - DEEP BLACK V2 from Maurydes, you will find it also here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20/themes/deep-black-emui-9-theme-t3877187

I found many dark themes working fine here : https://club.hihonor.com/in/themes/247/forums.htm
Search for the ones compatible with Magic UI 2.1 (read description ). After installing a theme, reboot the phone immediately...
If it doesn't work for you, or you are doing something wrong or there is something wrong with your device ...
Good luck
