Video recording in HD - Wildfire Themes and Apps

Hi everybody,
Does anyone knows if there exists some apps to make movie in HD quality (720p) like for the desire????
Thank you...

That is not possible on Wildfire.
The camera isn't good enough.

Maybe is not good, but for example Nokia N5230 make a good video (640x480) with the 2MPx and Wildfire make 352x288 with the 5MPx.....Why?

When HTC updates to Froyo, camera will work at 720p

Oh really... Got any sources?

There are no sources its just a rumor.

I highly doubt it will get 720p recording anyway

Maybe VGA, but no way in hell 720p. The 528mhz processor can`t process that.

I don't think that a software can do what the hardware supose to do

Maybe the overclock might help jksss

You can record on qvga and qcif resolutions on cm6, I don't know what resolutions those are exactly

Polish support HTC confirmed this information.

An overclocked Desire with a processor twice the speed of the Wildfire struggles 720p only just getting up to 20 frames per sec.
HTC promised the earth for Froyo on the Desire as well.
If you want quality video then buy a dedicated quality video device, like a camera for instance!

Camera in 2.3.3 vs 2.1

Are there any major differences concerning the picture / video quality between these two firmwares?
Sent from my X10i
2.1 vs 2.3.3 vs 2.3.4 vs 2.3.5 vs 2.3.7 (except 1.6) = No difference if camera work properly on all versions.
Hum, I thought SE "improved" the camera with every new firmware release.
In that case, I think I'll go back to 2.1.
Sent from my X10I
2.3.3 is way better then 2.1.

The camera itself doesn't improve it still 8.1 mp if thats what u mean
Edit: yeah gb is better than eclair thats why it's an upgrade. It ain't gonna improve resolution though.

well all i know is that camera focus speed in 1.6 is the fastest so far
Improved camera doesn't mean only more mpx.U have ****ty 5 mpx cams(HTC Hero) and much better 5 mpx like one on Samsung galaxy s.(this is only example).Somethimes in OS upgrades developers improves camera as well(better colors, less noise etc.).

That's what I was talking about.
I just asked because I read somewhere that 2.1 is better in camera quality.
Is it true?
Sent from my X10i
All I can say is are u guys expecting our phone to have 16mp camera by time ics arrives or somethin? Os update isn't gonna make ur camera have higher resolution. It just improves ui and how it implemented, things like that. I suppose with advance in tech it could make image clearer but the resolution ain't gonna change.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Everyone knows that the resolution won't change with software improvement since it's hardware related. But colour management, contrast, detail, etc. can, and that's what my question is about.
2.3 have faster focus speed~
camera feature change from eclair to gingerbread
what I know is gingerbread removes the smile detection and some other feature in xperia x10 which eclair have and works correct
Same image quality without some options(like smile detect)

I just flashed back to 2.1 and this is one of the reasons. The video camera on 2.3 sucks, I can barely hear my recordings, on 2.1 its back to being nice and loud.

try to turn off the stabilization, it will work faster.
Stock gb is very slowly and that's why stock eclair is better

[Q] HTC Camera Application on Xperia S

Hi Team,
Sorry if posted I could not find it hence posting the same. i was going through the HTC One X Camera video and was amazed to see the camera application where it can take 4 fps photos and also click photos when a video is being recorded. Just wanted to know if this is achievable in the Xperia S.
If not, is there any other application which can help me to do the same. Also the feature where it can take screenshots from a video which is playing on the phone.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Will be in ICS, it's actually a Google feature.

Thanks K900,
Guess will have to wait for ICS.... was surprised to see the demonstrator stating that it is only available on the HTC One X.
HTC have put there own dedicated chip called imagesense which will be all the one series phones but only those. Any feature of that application which specifically uses that chip will be very hard to port over to any other device.
I had an aosp build of ics on my galaxy s and it had neither of those features in the default camera app
Try fast burst camera from market can take 30 pics
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
The response time on the XPS is nice so it allows for some nice high speed photography. ICS camera lets you shoot photos by taping on the video preview.

Thx GM007 will surely try the fast burst camera...
yes K900 i really love the camera on XPS it is amazing...
Also thanks to keithwalton for the info.

It's just their sensor. The sensor on the XPS also seems to be capable of burst captures and stuff, but I didn't test it yet.

It's not a screenshot, it's a snapshot in the same resolution as the video is, up to 1080p. I don't think the One X does that differently.

your request similar to "can we make our screen bigger ?". our cam fps is very poor for video recording. that's hardware limitation. event if it's possible the result will be more like watching slide show than watching video.
LOL...a slow motion camera for a 2MP camera? How Many frames per sec will that be? stop dreaming man we cant do much for SGY

[Q] xperia P 1080p recording question

Ok here is the question ,
recentlly nova thor U 8500 seem like quite popular for midrange phone as the phone below use it
s advance , ace 2 , sola , xperia U / p / go
However , the only device which are able to record 1080p video is xperia P .
I wonder what make P different from other device ?
The clock speed and chip is totally same on s advance / p / u / sola
Been searching through web but no people even mention it .
The camera sensor. Obvious huh.

I am sure. The problem is not in the CPU speed. It's not that your sensor can't record 1080p, it's that it's unreasonable. When your device gets CM9, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to have 1080 too.

Haha, no.
If I stick a 2MP camera on a 512MHz MSM7227 single core device, I won't even get 720p.
And megapixels don't matter all that much, its what's in the camera sensor that does.
well 720p means just the resolution with ration 16:9,right? 1280 * 720 = 0,92 MP, 1080p = 1440 * 1080 = 1,6MP. 5mp camera is enough for both of 720p and 1080p. But I think why just P because the RAM. P has 1GB of RAM. You know, recording 1080p need a lot of processing, maybe 512GB RAM phone able to do this but I guess has a lower bit rate and graphic quality.
Hey, Xperia s can record at 1080p as well...
